Pray until you feel like it."

Prayers for those Hurting

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Fri, 15 Feb 2019 16:45:00 +0000

Church family - please pray for some of our number who are hurting badly today. The Jones family and the Wilhelm family are both saying goodbye to loved ones.

And for the hurting - a quote I came across that helps me when walking a hard road -

"Never give up in the desert. You don't know how wide it is, and you may be almost across." (Donald S. Whitney)

SEEING RED!

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Fri, 08 Feb 2019 13:59:00 +0000

It's HERE.

It's THIS LORD'S DAY!

It's RED HEART SUNDAY!

Remember that everything starts with the worship service at 10:30 AM. You'll love the music of the Inspired Band. And immediately after the service, you'll love the fellowship and food with brothers and sisters. You are welcome to bring a dish to pass at the fellowship if you want, but there will be plenty of chili and other goodies already on hand.

See you Sunday - RED HEART Sunday, that is! Wear something RED!

Oh... and always always always remember that...

You have FRIENDS at Friendship Bible Church!

MY RED FACE OVER RED HEART SUNDAY!!!

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Thu, 07 Feb 2019 16:00:00 +0000

Sometimes the pastor doesn't plan things out very well. I had not thought through the fact that the fellowship hall will be unavailable for Sunday School as will the sanctuary, where the Inspired Band will be setting up and doing sound checks.

SO... We are going to CANCEL the Sunday School hour for Red Heart Sunday. The worship service will start at 10:30, followed by the fellowship time immediately thereafter in Fellowship Hall.

WEAR SOMETHING RED! INVITE SOME FRIENDS! And please share this announcement with any of your FBC family you see, so that all are informed.

Remember... You have FRIENDS at Friendship Bible Church!

OH... and by the way - THIS IS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF WHY WE NEED OUR PHASE 3 BUILDING PROGRAM!!!! Keep praying about that as well.

A Mighty Engine, Indeed!

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Wed, 06 Feb 2019 16:41:00 +0000

“Believer, thou hast a mighty engine in thy hand, use it well, use it constantly, use it with faith, and thou shalt surely be a benefactor to thy brethren.” (Spurgeon)

Join us this evening from 6:30-7:30 PM

for Prayer Meeting.

All are welcome!

And remember - You have FRIENDS at Friendship Bible Church!

Time for Number 2!

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Fri, 01 Feb 2019 18:25:00 +0000

The second of our 3 games nights will take place this Saturday, February 2nd, at 6:30 PM in Fellowship Hall. The first was a blast, and I'm sure this one will be too.

Bring a few of your favorite board games or card games (family / Christian friendly, please), and enjoy a relaxed evening with friends.

If you are able, bring some munchies to share - chips, cookies, etc., or some pop to share.

This is a family / kid friendly activity, so bring them all along!

Remember... always remember... You have friends at Friendship Bible Church!

SATURDAY AT FBC!

No church today?

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sun, 20 Jan 2019 13:49:00 +0000

Our church in Randolph, along with many others around us, found it necessary to cancel the regular Lord's Day services due to weather.

But...

Don't let this snowy Lord's Day get away without spending some time worshipping the Lord of the day.

John was exiled on Patmos, and took time there in that lonely place to worship. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, (Revelation 1:10 NKJV)

Paul and Silas were stuck in prison, and took time to hold their own little church service there. But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. (Acts 16:25 NKJV)

So my brothers and sisters, in between shoveling snow and warming up in front of the fire, let's shovel out a little time for the Lord - read from His Word, breathe a prayer of thanks for His blessings, worship Him today... wherever you may be.

Light of the World!

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Fri, 21 Dec 2018 18:31:00 +0000

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life" (John 8:12 NKJV).

This time of year, there is so much that draws our attention. Parties and packages... tinsel and trees... shopping and singing... family and food.... If we let it, the Christmas holiday can become burdensome. But there is a solution... there is a way to avoid Christmas becoming stressful rather than "bless"full, and it's simple - don't let anything other than the Christ of Christmas occupy first place! With all the busyness of the season, it can be difficult to keep Him central, but if you do, your Christmas will be a more joyful occasion, and the stress of the holiday will be minimized!

At Friendship Bible Church we offer several different opportunities this Christmas season... opportunities for you to immerse yourself in the Christ of Christmas:

Saturday at 6:30 PM - "Light of the World" - our Christmas musical featuring the FBC choir, and various other individuals and groups. Beautiful music about our beautiful Savior! For your planning, this service will last just about an hour.

Sunday at 10:30 AM - "Light of the World" - second performance of the Christmas program. There will be no Sunday School this Lord's Day, so just come a little before 10:30 to get your seat. And again, for planning purposes, the service should be just about an hour in length.

Monday at 6:30 PM - Christmas Eve candlelight service, featuring the carols of Christmas, a brief message from God's Word, and concluding with the traditional "Silent Night" by candlelight.

It's going to be a great Christmas celebration at FBC, and I encourage you to pick one or more of these opportunities, and attend, for it will help you to avoid that Christmas burnout... and to keep Christ the center of your Christmas this year.

Oh... and bring somebody with you... maybe somebody who doesn't yet know the Christ of Christmas. What better gift could you give them than the gift of the Savior?

How Might We Pray For You?

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Wed, 28 Nov 2018 16:17:00 +0000

It's prayer meeting time - 6:30 every Wednesday evening, and the faithful will gather tonight to pray. We'd love for you to join us. But if you can't, we'd also just love to know how we might pray for you. If you received this via email, reply back and let us know your requests. Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7)

Operation Christmas Child - ASSEMBLY LINE!

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Tue, 02 Oct 2018 00:41:00 +0000

What a great evening working alongside brothers and sisters, enjoying their fellowship, eating good church-lady-cooked food, and putting together materials for Operation Christmas Child. Thanks to Candy for organizing! Now we pray that everyone of these items finds its way into the hand of a child and / or family that needs Christ... and finds Him.
