Laos is one of the world's few remaining communist states. It is one of Southeast Asia's poorest countries. The Lao PDR is a 'Landlocked and Least Developed Country' (LLDC) and as such is considered by the international community to be one of the poorest countries in the world. (United Nations)

Mission

Our mission is to remove the barriers of sports participation in the community among Vientiane’s youth. We aim to create a youth football league in the Vientiane area increasing both sport participation rates and the healthy development of the area's youth.

Company Overview

Football is the world’s most popular sport with an enormous potential for social and economic development. Football engages and excites people across the vast divides of national, regional, racial, religious, ethnic, gender, age, ability, social and economic differences. It is a universal language which, most people can understand.

The children in Vientiane must have the opportunity for a successful start in education and sport regardless of age, gender, family composition, income or community. In response to this significant disparity, The Chanthavone Football Club was created.

At T.C.F.C., we believe in giving back to the community by making "boun" or "making merit". "Making Merit" is a way for the common Buddhist person to do a good deed.

T.C.F.C. is a non-profit program. We do not collect fees for participation in the program but accept donations. Portions of the proceeds will benefit The Chanthavone Nursery School, various local state and private schools in and around Vientiane.
