It's that time of year where I delve into my digital crates and present to you my annual Hip Hop roundup for 2020. The mix features over 120 of the year's best tracks; lots of different flavours to keep you entertained, along with the usual club tunes and obvious picks, along with my personal favourites.

Sadly, it's also the final mix in the AD series. I've had fun putting these together over the past 10 years, however each one takes literally a month to finish. It's time to move on, but I hope you'll like this mix...

Also, this will be the final post on this blog. Thanks to everyone who used to check this back in the day...I'll have a brand new site coming in 2021.

As I mentioned in my Best Of Nas post, I now have a bi-weekly show on Radar Radio, on top of the regular mixes for BBC 1Xtra. Airing every other Monday from 12pm-1pm GMT, you can catch me playing the very best in upfront Hip Hop, Grime & Bass music. As with the previous Sixty Minutes mixes for 1Xtra, I'll also be doing the occasional themed mix (best of mixes, genre specific, throwback mixes, etc).

It's been a while, but I'm back with another instalment of my "Best Of" mixtape series.

This time around, I've decided to revisit my 100% Nas mix that I put together for Radar Radio (oh yeah, I have a bi-weekly show on the station now!) the other week, updating it with some extra tracks and interview snippets from the man himself. Nas is one of my favourite Hip Hop artists of all time, so it was a real pleasure to dig through his discography and put together a definitive mix of his best singles, album tracks, guest verses, unreleased tracks and slept on gems. Drake sampling Paleface & Kyla's "Do You Mind" was also one of the inspirations for digging into my crates and putting this together. This mix contains over 30 tracks, some of which you may or may not know, and even though it's not technically Funky, I've also included "One Dance" in there...because everyone seems to want to hear Drake, no matter what type of event it is.

Air Jordan 1 “Yin Yang” Pack

Some of this year's Jordan releases have been pretty uninspiring so far. With the exception of the Gym Red & "The Master" 12s, and the Metallic Blue 1s, the past few months have been pretty dry. Saying that, some of the upcoming releases (Bred 1s, Metallic Black 5s, Space Jam 11s) are getting me excited.

Another release which has caught my attention has been the upcoming Yin Yang pack. Keeping it simple with a white on black & black on white colourway, these are not only clean as hell, but will also go with any outfit, definitely making them a staple part of my summer sneaker rotation. The shoes should be available 6th August at select Jordan stockists.

Kicking it all off is a re-upload of an older blend - Missy Elliott's "Work It" over Souls Of Mischief's "93 'Til Infinity". It's a fun little tool that works well at my gigs.

I've always associated fixie bikes with hipsters, but this looks pretty dope.

Designed in New York and made in Taiwan, Martone Cycling has introduced the Martone Mia Bike.

Made from steel alloy and aluminium, it uses the same technology as the company's signature manual bikes, the SRAM Automatix 2-gear transmission. The new, more compact model weighs a mere 19 lbs, making it both smaller and lighter. The one size only 20″ wheels offers a smooth and stable ride and handlebars which can be optionally fitted with a miniature basket.

Whilst going to the gym can be a nightmare sometimes, given my lifestyle and schedule, I could be tempted to start bike riding on top my running to help keep fit.

If you've been following my movements on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter, etc, then you'll know that I've stepped up the number of releases on Triangulum over the past year. One of which was the hugely popular "Eski Thug" EP from East London producer Darkness.

Off the back of the success, it was only right that we did a vocal release. For this, Darkness recruited 11 (yes, ELEVEN) of the Grime scene's sickest New Gen MCs - AJ Tracey, PK, Saint P, Lyrical Strally (YGG), Big Zuu, Darkos, Kwam, Nico Linday, Ghostly, Hilts & Elf Kid.

It's been a long while, but after an extended hiatus I'm back posting on the blog again. There will be a whole new Website coming soon, but in the meantime, keep checking back here for more content.

I'm slowly getting back into the swing of posting regularly. Last week was a bit mental due with DJ-ing, submitting next week's show, and general life.

#SixtyMinutes Residency on BBC Radio 1Xtra

For those who may not be aware, I now have a bi-weekly residency on BBC Radio 1Xtra, as part of the #SixtyMinutes lineup on Mistajam's show. I'm on every other Wednesday, rotating with the one and only Logan Sama.

The first mix of the month is more eclectic, with Trap/Hip Hop, Bass Music, and some Grime. The second mix of the month is 100% Grime, with special guests hosting the last 30 mins.

Tonight, I'll be on air from 9pm with West Midlands' very own StayFresh, who will be hosting my set. Expect a lot of new music and big bars.

I'm Resurrecting the Blog...

…So after what feels like a lifetime, I've finally got round to updating a few bits on here, and made a promise to myself to start blogging again.

One of the reasons why I stopped was that with other social sites such as Twitter, Instagram, Soundcloud and Facebook, I could still reach a whole range of people with my music, mixtapes and updates. On top of that, I felt that there was nothing left to really blog about. Most of the posts on here used to simply regurgitate material from more established blogs, so I figured "what was the point?"

It also became a chore, and having spent the last couple of years touring with other artists, spending more time making remixes and tunes, and also playing out, I lost the motivation.

Saying that, it's always nice to have one central hub for everything, and after taking some time away, I've started to feel more proactive about posting again. Plus, with a regular spot on the BBC, it makes sense to push my sets here as well, given that people still stumble upon this site from time to time.

It might be only just one post a day sometimes, but I promise to bring you more rants, reviews, music updates and random shit.
