Just the other day I was bopping around the J Crew website and found myself clicking on their "In Good Company" section. I've always thought that J Crew does great job curating their collaborations but this go around I was more impressed than usual. They had so many of the items currently on my wish list it was like they were either stalking my pinterest or reading Broho because I've blogged a few of these names before. In less than one month I will be celebrating my 26th birthday from a balmy Bahama beach in North Eleuthra. I've already pulled the trigger on the center number from Triangl Swimwear, but am still seriously eyeing the other two. A girl can never have too many options...right?

MOOD: MARA HOFFMAN HAIR

So this post is definitely an introduction into some new subject matter for me -- hair. I'm not much of a hair how to girl -- I have long, straight, brown hair that looks the exact same everyday, despite what I might try to do to it. So like I said, not for me.

However, after I stumbled across this youtube tutorial by Barefoot Blonde (courtesy of Design Darling ) I couldn't help but share it. The video is instructive, the directions are simple, and the end result is very reminiscent of the original inspiration. So, if you have hair long enough to try this, I highly suggest you do -- I mean there's nothing better than a good hair day, right?

READS: MISTER & STELLA SPOILS

Okay, so I had this post all drafted up a couple weeks ago (see date above)-- it was slated to be a BFTB, one of the best ones I've written in a while, because the subject matter was just so good.

Mister Spoils, a (week)daily subscription email catered to cool dudes and featuring the following; (3) instagram accounts to follow (hot girl included), (1) product to consider purchasing, (1) new song to listen to and (1) interesting article to read. Even though I'm a girl, I love it -- I mean just the other week they featured my LOML, The Salty Blonde, as one of their instagram accounts to follow so I feel like we're operating on the same wavelength here.

So why did I hold out so long, you might ask? Well, just before I was planning on publishing the original article, I saw that they were planning on launching a sister site, Stella Spoils, catered to the ladies. I immediately signed up (was one of the first 1,000 people to do so, apparently) and put the article on the back burner so I could test drive the girl version. A couple weeks in, and it shows a lot of promise. The articles are good and the instagram accounts solid. If you're like me, and constantly searching for new and cool content on the web, Mister or Stella or both -- is a must read.

And me...

Back in the height of my tomboy days, I wore black & white Adidas Sambas everyday to elementary school. What can I say, it was the 90s and it was the cool thing to do. Fast forward to 2015, and that movement is coming back into the spotlight (something I never thought I'd say), and the new shoe du jour is the Nike Roshe Run.

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have noticed that they've quickly become a favorite of mine, but I am not the only one. These black & white beauties are popping up all over the street style shots from the last few months and I must admit, they look just as chic paired with leather pants as they do leggings.

Oh, and if you're looking to snag yourself a pair, you might want to try Ebay because I wasn't able to find them anywhere else.

One of the things that has been on my to-do list for months is to decorate my apartment. I moved in in May and I still feel like I have so much to accomplish! After doing some excessive research on Pinterest (see compilation here) I decided that one of the things I most wanted to adopt was the idea of an open closet. I just love the idea of putting my clothes on display and essentially using them as decoration -- I mean I spent the money on them, why not show them off when I'm not wearing them?

Now, after 8.5 months of procrastinating, I am proud to say that I made some major headway over the long weekend (photos to come!). It's not quite perfect but it's moving in the right direction, all in time for my friends's visit to Columbus in mid-February...stay tuned!

BFTB: THE PLAYER'S TRIBUNE

If you couldn't tell from this post, or this one, or this one -- I'm a pretty big sports fan. I have been since I memorized the entire Cleveland Indians's roster in elementary school. (Little known fact about me: I know the names and cities of every team in the MLB. But really.). With a background like that, it should come as no surprise that I'm absolutely obsessed with The Player's Tribune.

An editorial website founded by Derek Jeter, The Players Tribune is a designated forum for athletes to personally discuss whatever they want; from the toughest people they've ever played against, to the touchy subject of domestic violence, to things they wish they could have told their younger selves. Featured athletes include the likes of Tiger Woods, Paul Pierce, and Danica Patrick and simply put, the articles are awesome. They're insightful, honest, and touch on many big social issues plaguing both the athletic community & society at large.

Sports fan or not, I highly suggest you check it out asap, and even recommend subscribing to the newsletter so you don't miss a release (don't worry, they aren't frequent enough to clog your inbox).

There's a certain phenomenon that happens when you've never heard of something before, be it a word, a phrase, or a person, but as soon as you learn about it, it's suddenly EV-ER-Y-WHERE. That's what has happened with me in regards to Donald Roberston, or rather, Drawbertson.

I somehow stumbled upon a gorgeous print from his instagram the other day and when I googled his name, he was featured in everything from Vanity Fair, to the NY Post, to Elle Decor. I mean how have I never heard of this guy before?! His whimsical sketches are socially relevant, beautiful, and currently even offered on J.Crew T-shirts -- pretty impressive for a Bobbi Brown beauty exec who simply moonlights as an artiste, no?

Anywho, gotta start saving my pennies for one of these bad boys to feature in the Broho Bungalow..

I know this may seem cruel, to start thinking about spring dresses while most of the United States (including Columbus) is experiencing the first polar vortex of the new year, but I just couldn't help myself. After spending a week in St. Thomas, I've got spring on the mind and that means I've got to share it with you all!

While what's out there now is just a teaser of what's to come, I was able to find some quick forerunners that I could definitely find a way to incorporate into my warm weather closet. Whether you're an optimist, a pre-planner, or simply have a vacation coming up -- you should check them out now, because, in my experience the moment you need a dress is always the moment you can't find any that you like (this happens to other people too, right?).
