Seeking truth with my health and others...

My quest recently has been health and seeking truth concerning it. Many family and friends have been diagnosed recently with cancer and other diseases. In my heartache and frustration, I remember that the Bible says in Hosea 4:6..."my people die for lack of knowledge."

So join me in seeking more knowledge on your health and the ones you love. I don't want to rob anyone of the feeling you get when you research and discover things on your own. So I will give you a lead and you do the research for it.

My first lead is Functional Medicine. What an amazing look at medicine. I am amazed at the many doctors who have left their money making practices to seek truth for their patients. To help them heal and to do it in a God-given way.

As always be cautious and test and prove everything according to God's word. The enemy prowls around like a lion. He likes to twist God's truth into a lie or add a little truth to make it sound good. So pray always.

100% Pure Jojoba Oil [Certified Organic] Review (Love it!!)

I received this product to try for free and give my honest review and that is what I will do!!

I LOVE this product!! Oh, my I am so happy with it. Jojoba is so good for your skin and we used to make a scrub with jojoba and jojoba beads that sold like crazy. But the price of jojoba went though the roof! Anyway, I say that to say I have experience with this oil and it is all positive.

This 4oz bottle is absolutely divine. It has a warm nutty fragrance that is not over-powering and is actually calming. The best part is that it is cold pressed and unrefined so you keep all those wonderful nutrients inside the oil. And to beat all it is organic.

A little bit about this oil is that it has Vitamin E and B in it. Also has essential fatty acids and antioxidants. It is anti fungal and anti bacterial. It is even anti inflammatory. I am so excited to use this and add it to some of my balms. I just have to figure out which one.

I received this for free to try and review for my honest opinion. And that is what I shall give.

The best part of this for me is it covered a nasty crib mattress that I had from a previous child. Now it looks new! The second best part is the comfort. No more plastic feeling noisy mattress.

This is 100% waterproof for all those leaks and it is machine washable and you can put it in the dryer. This is huge for me cause I am busy and in the past I hand to hang dry mattress covers.

Lavender Essential Oil Review

I received this 100% pure lavender oil to review and try. This is a Bulgarian lavender oil which is supposed to be superior to other kinds of lavender oil. I really have no clue. This is what they say!

I use lavender oil in my balms to preserve them. I use about 20-21 drops per 4oz of balm that I make with my herbal oils. It makes a nice light scent and helps to prevent mold and bacteria from growing or forming. (But alas, I am no scientist, so do your homework.)

As for the smell it is not too heavy like many out there. It is a smoother sweeter smell that makes my balms smell nice.

Does it work? Well, I guess, I am not totally sure. All I smell is perfume. I guess that is better then pee, but yikes!! The smell is so strong that I have chosen to give it away.

I cannot handle the smell. Granted, I am pretty sensitive to smells but this is crazy strong to me. And I just cannot recommend this product. Yuck! It is like going to a perfume store and dumping all the bottles out on your floor.

I had one of these before but the handle was so large that it was hard for me to use. This one is much better. The handle is not overly long. It is just right and works great. It is wonderful for making bread. You wont be dissapointed. You use this tool before the kneading part of making bread. Unlike a spoon which feels as though you can hardly mix the ingredients, this slices right through and mixes up just great. It is a great kitchen tool. It gently blends so you don't end up with tough bread.

Organic Vitamin C 20% Serum Formula Review

In my research I have learned that vitamin c is very hard to keep stable, so I was thrilled to see a serum that was able to accomplish this. I wanted this to add to my balms and salves. I am very happy with this item and with the ingredients it has. I think one of the ways they accomplish stability is that they make it fresh and in smaller batches. Mine was made just a month or two ago according to the date on the package.

This is full of organic and natural ingredients. Plus no gunk or sulfates in it. That is a huge plus for sure.

It feels great on my skin and I am excited to see the long term effects.

First of all, I like the way it looks. Great presentation of the bottle. I think that is important. It draws you in. See those yummy looking coconuts? I think it is very professional looking.

Second, they have some pretty sweet claims. For instance, does not clog pores, stimulates hair growth, odorless, colorless and the list goes on. They claim to be 100% pure therapeutic grade as well. The only thing I wish they could claim is being organic. But that costs a lot of money.

The feel of this oil is nice. It is non-greasy and absorbs quickly. It makes a great carrier oil for my essential oils. Pine and Cedar EO's are what I use for congestion on a little one, since it works so well to get the gunk out fast. A lot of other EO's just don't seem safe enough for my little one.

The best part about buying this oil (good price by the way) is the free recipe book that they send you via email. That itself is worth the money in my opinion. I did not even realize I was getting a free book. Glad I did not delete the email.

Some of the recipes include how to make shampoo, hair spray, lotion, perfume, body wash, body scrubs, massage oils, salve, sunburn spray, toothpaste, pet items, baby oil, and hand soaps. I love to make handmade items with my kids so this book is exciting to me.

Argan Oil - 100% Pure & USDA Organic Review

I received this product free for my honest review. First off, I hoped it would work like Moracan Oil for my hair, but I think this was not the right formula for hair. My fault not the companies. That being said, it does go on nice and makes my skin soft, but my hair was just too oily looking. I am pretty sure I saw on their site that they had a formula for hair though.

The smell is pretty faint but smells like grape. I do not care for grape. Again, not the companies fault.

I like that this has been purified more then once and is organic. It is also cold processed which is and added benefit for sure.

I want to use this oil in one of my balms or lotions that I make. I am excited since it is packed with minerals and yummy good things for your skin.

Pure Peppermint Essential Oil Review

With all the hype on essential oils, I thought sure I will give this one a try too. I have tried just about every kind out there. All of them make claims and really how do you know who you can trust? From Young Living and Doterra to Now and Aura Cacia. So many out there and all seem fine on the surface. And since I am no scientist how do I know if they are really "Pure" as they say.

After using this product on and off a few times I called them to see how it is manufactured and if it is first distillation or second or third. Guess what? The lady had no clue. She could not give me and answer and instead said to email them. But she never even offered me an email. That is a big mistake for sure.

That being said, I did use it and it seems very potent. Cleared my sinus and burnt my eyes even. I suggest using it in a carrier oil for sure. I will continue to use it. The price is great for sure. But I just have no assurance on its quality is all. They do claim it being 100% pure. They also say it is Grade A and cold pressed. So maybe I should just take their word for it.

Vitamin C Lotion [Natural Moisturizer] Review

What a great lotion. It fit nicely in to my purse and I was able to use it recently on a trip we had to take. My DD hands were so chapped from the winter and this lotion worked great. It did not burn her hands like many other lotions and if absorbed quickly. I am very happy with this product and would buy it myself. I got this one headband for my daughter. Now all my kids want one. She wanted it mostly for a hair tie (scrunchie) as well as to warm her neck and use as a headband. She said to give it a 4 because it is way to big to wear as a hair tie (scrunchie) She is 14 but has an adult size head. She is taller then her mama for sure.

What is also nice about this headband is how many different styles they have. They have this camo line, but also plain and paisley as well as many more. Just check out the different kinds you can get. I think this will come in handy during soccer season.

100% Pure Fractionated Coconut Oil Review.

I was given this product to try. I wanted it because I needed a carrier oil for my essential oils. I have not used fractionated coconut oil before. So I admittedly have nothing to compare it with. I did rub regular coconut oil on my hands to get a feel for both of them. They were not much different. So that is good. It also worked great as a carrier oil. And that is what I wanted it for. I had some EO mixes my sister gave me and her coconut oil was just from Walmart. It seemed pretty similar as far as I can tell. But I am sure this one is better. I am not a Walmart fan.

I did try it as a massage oil. It was just ok. I think I prefer the body butter I make instead. Heeheee. But it did work ok. Just not my preferred method. I have to say it was very light-weight and non-greasy for sure. I am happy with it overall and excited to use it for all my EO mixes.

I recently received this sports necklace to try. I honestly think its uncomfortable, but my 7 and 14 year old really like it. I guess cause they are sports gals. Went off the beaten path and found a little restaurant in a small strip mall. My hubby was nervous and had me check on yelp first. He was about to leave when I announced it had a 4 star for reviews. He said ok and we went in.

The young waitress just opened the place and looked as though the world was heavy on her shoulders. Normally I would be upset at the lack of kindness by such a waitress. But today I could see beyond my own selfishness and in to her heart.

The restaurant quickly was filling and she, being the only one there was working her tail off. Like most, no one was really concerned for her, because this was her job. They just wanted their food. I thing she had 9-10 tables she was serving at one time.

You could see the stress on her face, yet she began to smile a bit here and there. The smiles seemed strained but she was trying.

Smash, down goes a plate of food, broken plate shatters and food slides across the floor. She can't even take the time to pick it up because there are people waiting to check out and a few tables waiting for coffee refills. Even with all this she offers my husband a coffee to go! WOW!

It is weird how burdens can sap our personalities and make us look like all hope in the world is lost. Burdened and chained people just move forward mechanically, as a means to just get the day over. Get your paycheck and move towards the next meaningless day.

My husband and kids went to the counter to pay our bill and I felt a need to clear the table as best I could, stacking plates to make her morning easier. We had already discussed blessing her with a sizable tip but money did not seem like enough.

As I pushed all the chairs in, so she would not bump into any of them, I turned to see my husband step forward from the counter and politely demand the attention of the entire restaurant. With a loud clap he began to speak loudly asking all to listen to what he had to say. I was startled as this is out of his character. He then said the waitress name and said what a hard worker she was and how we should all appreciate that about her and then began to clap and thank her. The whole restaurant was clapping for her and I was stunned, as many others in line were as well. Many were waiting to pay their bills and surely frustrated cause they, I am sure had things to do and places to go. I know we did.
The waitress as she was still checking my husband out was now crying... She was thanking him and the tears were rolling down her face. I could now see hope behind those tear-filled eyes. And he had yet to give her the tip yet. She was just so grateful to be shown appreciation. To have someone grateful for her hard work. Amazing what words of encouragement and acknowledgment can do for a persons soul.

My husband then handed her the tip and said God bless. I am not sure she heard him or saw the tip through her blurry eyes. She just kept saying thank you, thank you.

We walked out, me balling my eyes out and feeling more blessed then her. I was taught a lesson here. A lesson about serving the servers. Knowing their names and looking long enough to remember there faces. Not thinking so highly of myself that because it's their job they need to treat me like a queen. Instead, choosing to lighten their load and show them heart-felt appreciation.

What an amazing feeling to be used to day to bless and give hope.

French 1 Language Learning Course Review

I received another language program to review and am again very happy I did. The Pimsleur method is the best I have seen so far on learning a language. We have been listening to these CD's in the van when we are out and about.

Each lesson is about 30 minutes long. It is a lot of repeating and when you have 80% of the lesson down you can move on to the next lesson, which builds on the prior lessons. That is nice because repetition helps things to click.

I do recommend listening to the whole lesson without interruption. It makes it easier to remember. Now that we have reviewed all these, we need to take our time and go through them one at a time, as I am gonna get confused!! lol

It does not appear that you are going to learn to be fluent in the language when you are done with the program but you will be able to speak and carry on a conversation with a person who speaks the language.

You also will not be able to read or write the language as this is strictly a listening and speaking program.

My whole family is benefiting from this language program. My 7 year old to my 13 year old are able to learn with this together. As a homescooling mama, this is a great plus. I would totally recommend this product.
