INNER CIRCLE HEADING HERE FOR ONE NIGHT SHOW

First time in Solomon Islands, one of the greatest reggae bands alive, INNER CIRCLE is heading to our shoes next month. Heritage Park Hotel is again hosting another car park show on the 22th of June. The group is originated from Jamaica and has been around for many decades since the late 60s. Through many obstacles the group has still been able to keep their spirit alive with their good vibes. Advocating peace and love with their music. Inner circle has performed along side many great artists and bands through the years including the legendary Bob Marley. Heritage park Hotel said fans in Honiara will have the opportunity to see Inner Circle live in concert for one night only. "Inner Circle will perform on Sunday 22,begins at 7pm. Tickets will be available at Heritage Park Hotel Reception, so listen out for when tickets will be available for purchase." The Hotel said gates will be open at 4:30pm as guests will enjoy some local entertainment, 4 free drinks and free BBQ will also be available for all attending. Ten lucky winners will have the chance to grab themselves free tickets through upcoming promotions so listen out as well. The Honiara capital has already hosted international artists like Gramps Morgan, Julian Marley, Shaggy, George Fiji Veikoso and Spawn Breezie.

THE NEW KID ON THE BLOCK

He is a very much late bloomer in the local music scene. But Steven Seti (aka Slimy Bwoy) has already stamp his mark in the music industry, capturing a big following since he burst onto the airwaves in the past month.

No one really expected the 28 year old, who hails from Sikai’ana in the Malaita Outer Islands, to venture, explore and become a household name in such a very short time.

Seti linked up with friends from the Ronlus band who then introduced him to well-known local producer of Shefram Studios, Baka Solomon. “We talked about writing a song and they all liked the idea and suggested that I start off with a song in my local dialect. We all started composing a song- a combination of English, Pidgin and Sikai’ana dialects, which we thought would suit local music lovers both in Honiara, the provinces and also overseas”.

Starting off with the crew from Shefram, Seti began recording the song “Hale Mai” but somewhere in between found a missing gap that still needed to be filled. He was in for a shock of his life when out of the blue, Evan Rush from the popular band – DMP came into the studio and agreed to offer his talents to fill in the missing gap. “I was totally blown away when Evan walked into the studio. I could not believe it. It was like a dream come true seeing such a well-known, established artist come in and take part in my song”.

“Hale Mai” is now slowly making its way up to the top local hits in the country with fans favoring its dance beat vibes and especially the local dialect which has already been made popular by another local Sikai’ana artist in Vania.

This song is dedicated to all the beautiful Te Hahines’ living in and around Honiara.

What these artists have done was really exceptional, they decided to do one of the most classic songs of our time - Forever Young; and blend in the beats from the Islands into it while at the same time still keeping the original rhythm to it. Also, they have incorporated their own lyrics into it which makes it much more interesting to listen to, something more up to date with the latest music trend in Solomon Islands this days. Some of the previous tracks being released by Honeymoon records are "Stay on my Hustle by B-Bow and "Herbsman" by Big Maui Waui and Kaotic Duke just to name a few.
