Review:

I enjoyed Kia and Laiken together. This is the first book of the series for me so I don't have any background on if these two had met prior. This story does seem like they knew of each other with Laiken's interest in Kia but I couldn't be positive. The quickness of their relationship was a little much, they didn't even speak to each other much, the relationship was just on. I did enjoy the journey of their relationship and how fierce Laiken's protective nature was for Kia.

Review:

I did not connect with these characters like I thought I would based on the blurb given. I really enjoyed the last few chapters, it all came together, and we really get to know these characters, their real personalities, their real lives, when they were on vacation, we really only got the surface level of them. I had not connected how they would come together after vacation but that was a pleasant surprise and I enjoyed the reconnect.

I enjoyed this journey as Harper decides Leo or no Leo, this baby will be loved. Her past has defined her future and she wants her baby to be loved. Leo though, as much as he wants to hesitate and be there for Harper, he doesn't feel like he will be good enough for this baby. He steps up and they have time to get to know each other before the baby comes. The journey is lovely to watch and the growth with each of them was shown with maturity.

I am not always sold on already married couples that spend the entire story trying to work it out. This one almost hit the par. I loved Keller, he was grumpy for a very good reason, he was a husband without a wife. We got to see all of his emotions and follow him through a journey. I didn't see eye to eye with Chloe. I just couldn't connect with her reasonings and wants. I loved that they were able to reconnect.

Review:

This story had a lot of potential but just didn't hit it for me. I liked the concept and the thinking of what it could have been. It just didn't click. Mal is older, hiding after a long tour to a private island. Saylor is running from her ex and his mess. It felt forced at times, like she really needed time on her own and as soon as she is single bam here is this guy sniffy around. It might be someone's favorite and I wish I could have connected with the characters more.

I enjoyed this story. These two had so much chemistry and enjoyed each others company. When it came time to make a decision, the wrong one was made. My heart was pounding so hard at the end because it felt like we were all going through the heart ache. Everyone wants to be someone's first choice. Finally they work it all out and the hearts were put together.

He automatically assumes Kylie is hitting on him, when he doesn't realize she is the sister of a teammate. Kylie is a very independent woman who has gone through a trauma filled childhood. These two have a one night stand, that turns into multiple nights together, until they are both missing each other and want to spend all their time together. It was adorable how Kyle kept fighting him, and Knox just kept fighting, he found out that maybe his ex-wife wasn't the person he should be with, maybe Kylie is who makes him whole. I couldn't put it down and loved seeing some of our other favorite couples.

This was an unique story as both main characters were grown in foster care and unstable childhoods. Foster is a sweet man and watching all of his friends find their person. This story had a little bit of everything, forbidden love, club drama, a little fighting, and a strong man. Blue isn't looking for love when he meets eyes with Luisa, he just wants a little fun. That fun turns obsessive. The connection they have with each other is undeniable. They can't stay away from each other. But Luisa is promised to someone else. It seemed a little old school but it worked with this family. Her father controls all their movements and wants a solid future for his kids. I wasn't thrilled with her age in this story, 17 year olds are more than likely not as mature as Luisa. Other than that little issue throughout the story, I had to remember she was just turning 18, exploring the world. I really liked the flow of this story, the intensity of Blue with her and how much he fell in love without meaning too.

Review:

Beckett and Piper have an unique story as she bucks up to him right away however quickly has remorse. She wants to right things and works hard to do so. Beckett, while trying to manage a whole new life, is grumpy and takes frustrations out on the wrong person. The chemistry for these two is immediate though, Piper is the right push he needs. They work so well together as a team sometimes they forget how it all started. I really loved saying goodbye to this family because I believe this author did it the correct way, we got all the goods and were able to feel amazing how it all was left.

Review:

This was a well told story of two very different yet very similar people. Atlas is gifted a precious gift and he just doesn't know what to do with her. Maddie likes being in control and has been taking care of things on her own for so long, Atlas is an issue for her. These two have a lot of bumps but eventually it smooths out. This journey to an adulthood both didn't know would work for them is a great one to watch. These two learn to work together, make sacrifices, and to compromise to ensure a child is taken care of. As always this family of hockey guys and their women surround Atlas and Maddie in love and they all take care of each other.

Lexi's story is tough, its reality, some people you meet will make you a shell of yourself without you even knowing it. You will go from an independent happy person, to asking if the shirt is okay to wear out, even though you know in your gut there is nothing wrong with it. Lexi, being Viktor's daughter, was also a little rough, with his back story of having to be strong to overcome his addiction. Kirby has watched her from the sidelines, wanting her and knowing she is untouchable. When he gets pulled for a charity auction, he sees all the signs of a woman who is being controlled. Kirby shows Lexi how love is supposed to work. He shows her there are choices to be made by herself and that he is to compromise and work with her through life. This is a beautifully told story of a woman who finds herself again while also finding a man to makes her feel confident.

This is a story about learning to live the life you should instead of the life you think you need to. This story is about learning to trust yourself and others when you aren't sure life has anything good for you. Lily is a nomad, she doesn't feel settled in one spot, she has had multiple jobs, and lived in a many places. Barrett lives his life 15 minutes at a time, trying to stay above water while raising his 2 kids. It took a few chapters to peak my interest but once the author had these two grumpy souls cross paths, it was a wonderful story. Lily learns a lot about herself being neighbors with the Kings. I enjoyed watching Barrett start to get excited about life outside of his football team, when he unwound and was home, it was a sight. I cried, laughed, and had my mouth gaped open a little bit, these two will show you how much the heart can grow with the right person.

Review:

I enjoyed Gray and Faye's story, I loved the fact that he let his feelings be known and didn't shy away from them. I loved that she didn't fight too much and it happened as naturally as it can while Gray was going through his divorce. It was a cute story and I enjoyed all his teammates support for them while also getting to know more about shy Faye.

I enjoyed this grumpy relationship that turned to more. These two weren't looking for anything, they were focused on the lives they had built, and then here comes fate. They were thrown into each other's lives. I loved watching Violet grow and learn. She was a very independent woman with underlining insecurities. Charlie helped her find herself and become more confident. These two really needed each other and became such a cute couple.

Review:

Nalia and Logan's story is a quick fall for each other with kids involved. Nalia has guardianship of her half sister Zuri, as their mother has landed herself in trouble again. Nalia makes the decision to move closer to home for support and help. I was disappointed in the lack of family in this story. In previous stories, there is so much interweaving, we rarely hear from Sage, her biological brother, and with all the previous build up about her move and Sage being unhappy, I thought there would be more. Nalia and Logan create a family quickly and take care of each other during hard times. It wasn't the favorite but it was nice to be with this family again.

Review:

I usually don't enjoy the whole reconciling ex's story, but this was done in a way I couldn't not read. Lucy gave up her happiness to ensure Grudge didn't spend most of his youth in prison. Her father is a horrible person and is heavily involved in her life. Her father worked his backdoor connections to get his way and ruin 2 lives. Grudge is bitter, as expected, and has moved on until he locks eyes with Lucy at the courthouse. He tries, he really does to keep his life normal, welcoming his new role in the club and no feelings with the club girls. He falls though, old habits don't die and soon he is saving Lucy from danger. The writing style and this group of alpha men made it easy to read.

Oh man, my weekend was made when this hit my book funnel account. This series, this whole set up from the Carolina Cold Fury men has gotten us to a point that social media is big with celebrities now. If they choose to share, we know a lot about them, this is the same with Lucky and Winnie. Lucky has been traded to the Titans, and loves his Tik Tok, where he is goofy, dancing, and shares a little behind the scenes. Winnie uses her social media to share dating, garden, and teaching stories. She has a descent following that helps supplement her teaching salary. When Lucky accepts her dating challenge, she honestly thinks its a mistake. He isn't the average Joe she is looking for, he is actually the opposite. Lucky though, I believe was made for her. These two stole my heart and I cried for Winnie during a pretty serious bullying issue. I loved that Sawyer made this a point, whether she knows it or not, social medial bullying and having teenage girls, its there and its a worry of mine. Bringing this subject to the forefront and making it an issue might make others think twice before they go to their keyboards to harass someone. We see former couples and see a highlight of future stories. I really need to begin these stories earlier than 9 at night so I get some sleep.

Review:

Locke's whole reaction to Nessa being at his captain's house who happens to be her stepbrother is a vibe, he is star struck but cannot make a move. I felt horrible for Vanessa, Hutch is not welcoming to her at all, even after all these years. She felt out of place, not wanted, and coming off a divorce. A divorce she hadn't shared the horrible details of to anyone. She held all that sadness and hurt, I felt all of this. Locke, though, he see her, like all of her. He is the man that she needed to meet at that time in her life. These two make moves in their lives and do not include anyone. They stay in small bubble until Locke needs to tell Hutch. This is when all the emotions do come out and come to the front. They work through them as a team. Locke is right there beside Vanessa and he does it wonderfully. I am really enjoying this series, cannot wait for more.

Review:

I liked the story line however I didn't connect with these people like I usually with this authors people. I usually fall in love and read too fast. This story was read a little slower but I did enjoy the connection. Diana is finding her way being a woman in a male dominated sport. Hudson is a great player who got lucky enough to get locked in a room with a beautiful woman. These two really did enjoy each other and the journey was fun to be on with them.

Ok, how in the world does she always get better?!? This 2nd generation story is just what the doctor ordered! Jaxon and Ariella are both big personalities in their parents stories. We meet them again, all grown up, and doing life. They are both successful, Jaxon following in his dads footsteps becoming a hockey legend and Ariella working with her mom marketing within the hockey world. Their story seemed quick and full of love. Jaxon doesn't bat an eye when she comes to him and needs his support. These two really just held my heart and I loved watching them grow as a couple. Jaxon gives us the alpha strong man, while also just being a teddy bear. Seeing some of our favorites from prior books is also a perk of reading about our second generation. I hope to see so much more from our favorites families.

I enjoyed this cute little story. Two souls who needed each other and met at the right time. We go on a trip with their hearts as they navigate life and finding themselves. This was a sweet story and I am so thankful to have found Kaylene Winter. I hope to read her again soon.
