A national sport is considered to be an intrinsic part of the culture of a nation. Some sports are de facto (not established by law) national sports, as baseball is in the United States and Gaelic games are in Ireland, while others are de jure (established by law) national sports, like lacrosse and ice hockey are in Canada. These sports do not have to be necessarily the most played or most followed, which would be either association football or cricket in all but a few countries are widely considered to be important to the sign for its culture.

Top 50 Dangerous Cities In The World

When planning your next trip, you may want to avoid some of the cities we’re about to mention. In 2015, they ranked among the world’s most dangerous places on the basis of murder cases per capita. Caracas, Venezuela has risen to number one spot with 119.87 murders per 100,000 beating out San Pedro Sula in Honduras which had the top position in 2015, with 171.2 murders per 100,000 people per year but dropped to second at 111.03 in 2016. The number is surprisingly high in comparison to the most violent cities in many other countries. In the US, for example, St. Louis, with its murder rate of 59.23 per 100,000, is still a much safer place to live than the world’s most dangerous city. Illegal drug distribution, extensive poverty, and gangs all combine to affect the living conditions in Caracas and San Pedro Sula, the help make that city so notorious. Amid a rise in mass killings and escalating violence between alleged gang members, San Salvador has almost doubled its murder rate from 61.21 to 108.54 taking the 3rd spot. August was the most violent month in San Salvador, with more than 900 killings, including an unprecedented 52 deaths registered in a single day. The other two cities that complete the top five most dangerous places in the world are Acapulco, Mexico, and Maturin, Venezuela.

I can’t fault them for it.On the downside, not everyone believes MEGA is secure. Even the founder Kim Dotcom doesn’t trust the service, after shares of the company were apparently seized by the New Zealand government. Also, some users have complained that the sync client is buggy and will lose your data.

Poet of the East Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal

Allama Mohammad Iqbal the great poet and scholar of Muslims were born on 9th November 1877 at Sialkot a city of Province Punjab.

His grandfather lived in Kashmir who was Kashmiri Pundits then he embraced Islam and migrated to Sialkot. Father of Iqbal name was Sheikh Noor Mohammad who was a good tailor and his mother was a polite and humble woman whose name was Imam Bibi and she was always ready to help her neighbors and died on 9 November 1914. Iqbal loved his mother very much.

Educational Life

Sheikh Allama Mohammad Iqbal was four years old when he started his study from birthplace Sialkot. Firstly he admitted to the mosque where he learned the Quran and Arabic language from his lovely teacher Syed Mir Hassan that was the head of the madrassa and professor of Arabic language at Scotch Mission College in Sialkot. Iqbal completed his matriculation in same institute in 1893. After that he completed F.A degree from Murrey College Sialkot in 1895. He had interest in Philosophy and received degree B.A with English literature from Government College Lahore in 1897.
Iqbal went to Germany and completed his Master degree in 1899 and selected as a junior professor of philosophy at Government College Lahore.
Allama Mohammad Iqbal started to learn the knowledge of Arabic and Persian from Mr. Hassan that was a good teacher and completed his matriculation and F.A in 1893 and 1895 respectively. He had interested in Poetry and started the classes from Mein Mirza Arshad Gorani and Daagh Dehlvi also had taught poetry. He has been translated into many European languages when his work was famous and due to his work he recognized and quoted as “Poet of the East” by academics and institutions and media.

Political Life

Allama Iqbal joined the politics in 1930 and linked the Muslim League with the reference of Quaid-e-Azam. Iqbal was the person who gave the idea for separate Muslim Nation state. He had remained active in the Muslim League. He did not support Indian involvement in World War I and remained in close touch with Muslim political leaders such as Mohammad Ali Jouhar and Mohammad Ali Jinnah. He won the province seat and selected as a member of provincial assembly. He said that “I would like to see the Punjab, North-West Frontier Province, Sindh and Balochistan amalgamated into a single State. Self-government within the British Empire, or without the British Empire, the formation of a consolidated North-West Indian Muslim State appears to me to be the final destiny of the Muslims, at least of North-West India”.

The spirit of Change

Allama Iqbal Balkan wars and the Battle of Tripoli, in 1910, shook Iqbal powerfully and inflicted a deep wound upon his heart. In his mood of anger and frustration, he wrote a number of stirring poems, which together with portraying the anguish of Muslims were severely critical of the West.
The spirit of change is evident in poems like Bilad-e-Islamia (the lands of Islam), Wataniya (Nationalism), Muslim, Fatima Bint Abdullah (who was killed in the siege of Cyrenaica, Siddiq, Bilal, Tahzib-e-Hazir (Modern civilization) and Huzoor-e-Risalat Maab Mein (in the presence of Sacred Prophet).
In these poems, Iqbal deplores the attitude of Muslim leaders who lay a claim to Islamic leadership and yet are devoid of a genuine spiritual attachment to the blessed Prophet.

Iqbal’s Poetry

Allama Mohammad Iqbal started Law in 1934 and England Government gave him an address of ‘Sir’. He started poetry from a private teacher who was a great and pious man and his Poetry was gifted by God in him. He wrote many books for his students. Some books names are Israr-e-Khudi, Ramooz-e-Bekhudi, Payam-e-Mashriq, Bang-e-Dara, and Baal-e-Jibreel. These books were very famous.

Iqbal's views on the Western world were applauded by men including United States Supreme Court Associate Justice William O. Douglas, who said that Iqbal's beliefs had "universal appeal". In his Soviet biography, N. P. Anikoy wrote:
[Iqbal is] great for his passionate condemnation of weak will and passiveness, his angry protest against inequality, discrimination and oppression in all forms i.e., economic, social, political, national, racial, religious, etc., his preaching of optimism, an active attitude towards life and man's high purpose in the world, in a word, he is great for his assertion of the noble ideals and principles of humanism, democracy, peace and friendship among peoples.
Others, including Wilfred Cantwell Smith, stated that with Iqbal's anti-capitalist holdings he was 'anti-intellect', because "capitalism fosters intellect". Professor Freeland Abbot objected to Iqbal's views saying that Iqbal's view of the West was based on the role of imperialism and Iqbal was not immersed enough in Western culture to learn about the various benefits of the modern democracies, economic practices, and science. Critics of Abbot's viewpoint note that Iqbal was raised and educated in the European way of life, and spent enough time there to grasp the general concepts of Western civilization.

Pakistan, one of the largest Muslim states in the world, is a living and exemplary monument of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. With his untiring efforts, indomitable will, and dauntless courage, he united the Indian Muslims under the banner of the Muslim League and carved out a homeland for them, despite stiff opposition from the Hindu Congress and the British Government.
Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on 25th December 1876 at Vazeer Mansion Karachi, was the first of seven children of Jinnahbhai, a prosperous merchant. After being taught at home, Jinnah was sent to the Sindh Madrassah High School in 1887. Later he attended the Mission High School, where, at the age of 16, he passed the matriculation examination of the University of Bombay. On the advice of an English friend, his father decided to send him to England to acquire business experience. Jinnah, however, had made up his mind to become a barrister.

He went to England for further studies in 1892 at the age of 16. In 1896, Jinnah qualified for the Bar and was called to the Bar in 1897. In keeping with the custom of the time, his parents arranged for an early marriage for him before he left for England.
During his student years in England, Jinnah came under the spell of 19th-century British liberalism, like many other future Indian independence leaders. This education included exposure to the idea of the democratic nation and progressive politics. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the top lawyer of that time and he achieves his aim to earn 1500 rupees in a day.

In 1906, Jinnah joined the Indian National Congress, which was the largest Indian political organization. Like most of the Congress at the time, Jinnah did not favor outright independence, considering British influences on education, law, culture, and industry as beneficial to India. Jinnah became a member on the 60-member Imperial Legislative Council. The council had no real power and included a large number of UN-elected pro-Raj loyalists and Europeans. Jinnah had initially avoided joining the All India Muslim League, founded in 1906, regarding it as too Muslim oriented. However, he decided to provide leadership to the Muslim minority.

Eventually, he joined the League in 1913 and became the president at the 1916 session in Lucknow. Jinnah was the architect of the 1916 Lucknow Pact between the Congress and the League, bringing them together on most issues regarding self-government and presenting a united front to the British. In 1924, Jinnah reorganized the Muslim League, of which he had been president since 1916, and devoted the next seven years attempting to bring about unity among the disparate ranks of Muslims and to develop a rational formula to effect a Hindu-Muslim settlement, which he considered the precondition for Indian freedom. He attended several unity conferences, wrote the Delhi Muslim Proposals in 1927, pleaded for the incorporation of the basic Muslim demands in the Nehru report. Jinnah broke with the Congress in 1920 when the Congress leader, Mohandas Gandhi, launched a Non-Cooperation Movement against the British, which Jinnah disapproved of. Unlike most Congress leaders, Gandhi did not wear western-style clothing, did his best to use an Indian language instead of English, and was deeply rooted in Indian culture. Gandhi's local style of leadership gained great popularity with the Indian people. Jinnah criticized Gandhi's support of the Khilafat Movement, which he saw as an endorsement of religious zealotry. Jinnah quit the Congress, with a prophetic warning that Gandhi's method of mass struggle would lead to divisions between Hindus and Muslims and within the two communities. Becoming president of the Muslim League, Jinnah was drawn into a conflict between a pro-Congress faction and a pro-British faction. In 1941, Muhammad Ali Jinnah founded Dawn, a major newspaper that helped him propagate the League's point of views. Jinnah felt that the state of Pakistan should stand upon true Islamic tradition in culture, civilization and national identity rather than on the principles of Islam as a theocratic state.

The Provincial Assembly elections of 1937 swept the Congress to power in eight provinces. After almost two years of oppressive rule, Muslims under the leadership of Jinnah celebrated the Day of Deliverance at the end of Congress rule.
The Muslim League held its annual session at Lahore in March 1940. This was presided over by Quaid-i-Azam. The demand for Pakistan was formally put forward here. This goal was realized on August 14, 1947. Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was appointed as its first Governor General.

He worked out a sound economic policy, established an independent currency and the State Bank for Pakistan. He chose Karachi as the federal capital.

However, he did not live long to witness the progress of the state that he had founded. On September 11, 1948, he died after a protracted illness at Karachi. He was buried in Karachi that witnessed the entire nation mourning over an irreparable loss.

Currency represents wealth, a means to an end, and much more—has undergone a long, storied evolution that can be traced back to the origins of human civilization itself. The use of currency is intertwined with the history of money, which by its most common definition is a means of exchanging goods and services.

The Evolution of Coin.

Around the 7th millennium BC in western and central Asia, societies developed a means of trade centered on that region’s rich mineral deposits, extracting metals such as gold, copper and tin. By the 3rd millennium BC, the use of gold bars with standardized weights and value was common in cities in Egypt and Mesopotamia. At the time these “commodity currencies” came into existence, other societies around the globe also started experimenting with standardized forms of currency. Among some items used for trade were cowrie shells, common in East Asia and Africa, as well as stones, beads, animal skins and weapons like knives and spearheads. These forms of currency trade persisted and were refined over the next millennia, until the appearance of the first standardized unit of currency, the coin.

According to historians, coins were first crafted in the 7th century BC, in the ancient kingdom of Lydia, on the western coast of the region now known as Turkey. These first coins were made of a mixture of gold and silver known as electrum. The coins were not always round, as commonly seen today, but they often had irregular sizes and shapes, and were inscribed on only one side. They did come in standardized weights, however, ranging from about 0.15 grams to around 14 grams. Some of the earliest found had the names of two individuals inscribed in ancient Lydian script, Walwel and Kalil, which were thought to possibly refer to the Lydian ruler at the time, King Alyattes, and his father Sadyattes.

From Lydia, the use of electrum coins spread to Greek cities on the coast of Asia Minor, and then to the mainland of ancient Greece. Almost as early as rulers and nations began to produce coin currencies, the practice of counterfeiting followed suit. One early practice was to shave the edges of coins to gain material to produce new coins through forgery.

China and Paper Currency.

Independently from Lydia and Greece, kingdoms and individuals in China also disseminated the use of their own form of coins, based on miniaturized metallic representations of tools such as knives, agricultural implements, and axes. Later, the Chinese adopted rounded coins with inscriptions of Chinese characters.

The Chinese also innovated as they were the first to use paper currency. As the first to manufacture paper around the year 100 by using materials such as linen, hemp, bamboo, and mulberry bark, the Chinese had already developed the practice of writing credit notes on paper and deer skins as guarantees for long-distance trade. The paper bills first appeared during China’s Tang dynasty around the 7th century in the Valley of the Yellow River.

The practice evolved into the development of paper currency, which was found to be a lighter weight substitute for the thousands of coins that needed to be transported between regions to carry out increasingly larger transactions from growing trade. Local Chinese authorities at that time suggested that merchants exchange their metallic coins at the government treasury for paper notes. It came to be known as “Fei qi,” or flying money, likely for its tendency to carried away in a strong wind. The use of paper currency later became fully institutionalized in China during the Song dynasty, which began around 960.

The Dollar.

Meanwhile, as the Bank of England was issuing banknotes, in the fledgling U.S. colonies many colonists who had no access to banknotes were still using forms of barter, such as trading furs, tools, and foodstuffs with Native Americans. But by the time of the U.S. war for independence from England in 1775, the continental congress was already issuing paper currency known as “the Continental,” which was denominated in units known as dollars.

The term “dollar” was taken from a widely circulated Dutch currency at the time that traced the etymology of its own name back to the German term “thaler” used to refer to coins minted in the 1500s in the region of Saint Joachim’s valley in Bohemia. The colonial American government didn’t have strong control over how many were created, however, and the currency quickly lost value.

In 1786, ten years after independence, the Congress authorized the issuance of the dollar by the U.S. government, and in 1792 the government created the U.S. Mint to manufacture and circulating coins. It wasn’t until the Civil War began in 1861 that the government began regularly printing U.S. dollar bills for general circulation and redemption upon demand.

Forex Trading and Currency Guarantees.

Although the pound, the dollar and other currencies of major industrialized nations have been in existence in some form for hundreds of years, the regulation and breadth of currency markets have undergone marked transformation since their beginnings. With the creation of standardized currencies by governments and their increased international trade, the first foreign exchange market, or Forex market, appeared in Amsterdam in the 17th century. While currency began as a means of trade to obtain other items, it has evolved over time to where it is considered an asset itself, and now represents the world’s largest market, with approximately US$5 trillion traded around the globe on a daily basis. Of principle importance for currency holders have been changes in the types of guarantees backing the value of currencies.

Early forms of money, including coins, were based on the intrinsic value of the materials they were made from, but paper currencies historically required the backing of some other asset. Since early on, the most common asset to guarantee currencies was gold, which was coveted both for its versatility of use and aesthetic appeal. Britain was the first to formally adopt a “gold standard” for its currency in 1821 based on the production of gold coins at its royal mint.

The relative value of currencies was not only important to individuals holding them, but was also a key factor for the prosperity of entire nations and economies, and it was frequently part of the circumstances leading to international conflicts over the years. In 1946, after the conflicts of WWI and WWII, countries around the world entered into the Breton Woods agreement, which helped formalize the use of gold and also the U.S. dollar to back currency values around the world.

As in the past, the value of currencies under the system necessarily corresponded to the amount of gold held by governments. As the production and reserves of gold failed to keep pace with the demand for creation of money, the U.S. in 1973 decided to go off the gold standard, and other countries followed suit.

Since then, the relative value of currencies has been backed not by one particular asset, but by governments’ creditworthiness and the faith of the public in their abilities to pay back any debts owed by them. The abandonment of the gold standard helped alleviate the need for some governments to amass and stockpile large supplies of gold, but it also forced countries to seek new means to guarantee stability for their currencies as they “floated” freely against one another.

The global currency market fluctuations that occurred from that time were among the factors that helped encourage the nations of continental Europe in 1999 to follow through with their long-held plans to consolidate their national currencies into a single unit called the Euro.

For investors, trading has grown ever more sophisticated since formal exchanges first appeared. And in the 20th century, with the emergence of electronic trading, large volumes of currencies began to be traded among banks, businesses, and individuals around the globe nearly instantaneously.

Further, investors have also adopted new financial instruments known as derivatives to gain a financial advantage in carrying out their currency trading. These instruments, such as futures, options, and swaps, allow traders to time their exchange of currencies according to their wishes and hedge against large unpredictable fluctuations in the value of currencies caused by global political and economic events.

Money Travels.

The shift to paper money in Europe increased the amount of international trade that could occur. Banks and the ruling classes started buying currencies from other nations and created the first currency market. The stability of a particular monarchy or government affected the value of the country's currency and the ability for that country to trade on an increasingly international market. The competition between countries often led to currency wars, where competing countries would try to affect the value of the competitor's currency by driving it up and making the enemy's goods too expensive, by driving it down and reducing the enemy's buying power (and ability to pay for a war), or by eliminating the currency completely.

The 21st century gave rise to two disruptive forms of currency: Mobile payments and virtual currency. He estimates that one solar satellite could send between 1,000 MW and 2,000 MW to Erath, enough to power around 240,000-480,000 homes.

Nuclear Energy

Albert Einstein told us that the line between matter and energy is a fuzzy one. Energy can be produced by either splitting or combining atoms—processes known as fission and fusion respectively. Nuclear fission releases harmful radiation and produces large amounts of radioactive material, which can remain active for thousands of years and can destroy entire ecosystems if leaked. There is also concern that nuclear material could be used in weapons. Currently, most nuclear power plants use fission, as fusion requires tremendous amounts of energy to produce and maintain the necessary high temperatures. But a natural phenomenon known as sonoluminescence might one day provide a means of duplicating the power of the stars—which are themselves just giant nuclear fusion reactors -- in a beaker of liquid. Sonoluminescence refers to the flash of light produced when special liquids are struck by high-energy sound waves. The sound waves rip through the liquid and produce tiny bubbles that rapidly expand and then violently collapse. Light is produced in the process, but more importantly, the insides of the imploding bubbles reach extremely high temperatures and pressures -- enough, some scientists speculate, for nuclear fusion to occur. Scientists are also experimenting with methods to create controlled nuclear fusion by accelerating "heavy" hydrogen ions in a powerful electric field.

Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion

Oceans cover 70 percent of the Earth, and water is a natural solar energy collector. OTEC, or ocean thermal energy conversion, aims to exploit this fact and use the temperature differences between surface water heated by the sun and water in the ocean's chilly depths to generate electricity.

OTEC plants generally fall into three categories:

Closed Cycle: A liquid with a low boiling point like ammonia is boiled using warm seawater. The resulting steam is used to operate an electricity-generating turbine; the vapor is then cooled using cold seawater.

Open Cycle: Similar to the closed cycle OTEC, except there is no intermediate liquid. The warm seawater is converted into a low-pressure vapor that is used to generate electricity. The vapor is then cooled and turned into usable fresh water with cold seawater.

Hybrid Cycle: A closed cycle OTEC is used to generate electricity, which is then used to create the low-pressure environment necessary for the open cycle.

OTEC plants can double as fresh water sources and the nutrient-rich seawater drawn from ocean depths can be used to culture marine organisms and plants. The major drawback of OTEC is that since they operate on such small temperature differences, generally about 36 degrees Fahrenheit (20 Celsius), they are only 1 to 3 percent efficient.

Hydroelectricity

Whether falling, flowing, or otherwise moving in tides or under-ocean currents, water can be harnessed to produce electric power. Hydropower supplies approximately 20 percent of the world’s electricity. Until recently, it was generally believed that water energy is an abundant natural resource that requires no additional fuel and produces no pollution. Recent studies, however, challenge some of these claims and suggest that hydroelectric dams can produce significant amounts of carbon dioxide and methane through the decay of submerged plant material. In some cases, these emissions rival that of power plants running on fossil fuel. Another drawback of dams is that people often need to be relocated. In the case of the Three Gorges Dams Project in China -- which will be the largest dam in the world when completed in 2009 -- 1.9 million people were moved and countless historical sites were flooded and lost.

Wave energy

Another idea for large-scale renewable energy production is the use of the planet’s natural heat through harnessing the power of volcanoes. Last year work began to extract heat from volcanoes for power production. The companies Alta Rock Energy and Davenport New berry were granted licenses to test their technologies at the New berry Volcano in Oregon. They intend to inject water into the cracks in the hot rocks around the volcano and then use the steam produced to turn underground turbines.

Wave energy is not exactly a new technology, already employed-at several sites around the world, however, CNN expects that it will grow in popularity in the future due to the fact that it is much easier to predict than wind or solar power and therefore easier to integrate into the grid.

Biomass

Biomass energy, or bio fuel, involves releasing the chemical energy stored in organic matter such as wood, crops, and animal waste. These materials are burned directly to produce heat or refined to create alcoholic fuels like ethanol.

But unlike some other renewable energy sources, biomass energy is not clean, since burning organic matter produces large amounts of carbon dioxide. It may be possible, however, to offset or eliminate this difference by planting fast-growing trees and grasses as fuel supplies. Scientists are also experimenting with using bacteria to break down biomass and produce hydrogen for use as fuel.

One exciting but controversial biofuel alternative involves a process known as thermal conversion or TCP. Unlike conventional biofuels, TCP can convert practically any type of organic matter into high-quality petroleum with water as the only byproduct, proponents claim. It remains to be seen, however, whether Changing World Technologies, the company that patented the process, can produce enough oil for it to become a viable fuel alternative.

At the onset of Ramadan Muslims all over the world start fasting from dawn to dusk daily for 30 days as ordained in Quran.

"O you who believe fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you so that you can learn Taqwa" (Quran 2:183)

The blessings and benefits of Ramadhan Fasting are too many to be counted. If one does recognize them and realize their importance, he wishes to have the month of Ramadhan to be throughout the whole year.

These blessings are given by Allah to the fasting Muslims, who are to fast with full faith and expectation.

These blessings and benefits of the month of fasting during Ramadhan have been grouped and summarized into different categories. They are summarized here without commentary. It should be remembered that all of these blessings were taken directly from the Holy Quran and Hadith.

Medical Benefits of Ramadan

Muslims do not fast because of medical benefits which are of a secondary nature. Fasting has been used by patients for weight management, to rest the digestive tract and for lowering lipids. There are many adverse effects of total fasting as well as of crash diets. Islamic fasting is different from such diet plans because in Ramadan fasting, there is no malnutrition or inadequate calorie intake. The calorie intake of Muslims during Ramadan is at or slightly below the nutritional requirement guidelines. In3addition, the fasting in Ramadan is voluntarily taken and is not a prescribed imposition from the physician.

Ramadan is a month of self-regulation and self training, with the hope that this training will last beyond the end of Ramadan.12 If the lessons learned during Ramadan, whether in terms of dietary intake or righteousness, are carried on after Ramadan, there effects will be long lasting. Moreover, the type of food taken during Ramadan does not have any selective criteria of crash diets such as those which are protein only or fruit only type diets. Everything that is permissible is taken in moderate quantities.

The difference between Ramadan and total fasting is the timing of the food; during Ramadan, we basically miss lunch and take an early breakfast and do not eat until dusk. Abstinence from water for 8 to 10 hours is not necessarily bad for health and in fact, it causes concentration of all fluids within the body, producing slight dehydration. The body has its own water conservation mechanism; in fact, it has been shown that slight dehydration and water conservation, at least in plant life, improve their longevity.

The physiological effect of fasting includes lowering of blood sugar, lowering of cholesterol and lowering of the systolic blood pressure. In fact, Ramadan fasting would be an ideal recommendation for the treatment of mild to moderate, stable, non-insulin diabetes, obesity, and essential hypertension. In 1994 the first International Congress on "Health and Ramadan", held in Casablanca, entered 50 extensive studies on the medical ethics of fasting. While improvement in many medical conditions was noted; however, in no way did fasting worsen any patients' health or their baseline medical condition. On the other hand, patients who are suffering from sever diseases, whether type I diabetes or coronary artery disease, kidney stones, etc., are exempt from fasting and should not be allowed to fast.

There are psychological effects of fasting as well. There is a peace and tranquility for those who fast during the month of Ramadan. Personal hostility is at a minimum, and the crime rate decreases. Muslims take advice from the Prophet who said, "If one slanders you or aggresses against you, say I am fasting."

This psychological improvement could be related to better stabilization of blood glucose during fasting as hypoglycemia after eating, aggravates behavior changes. There is a beneficial effect of extra prayer at night. This not only helps with better utilization of food but also helps in energy output. There are 10 extra calories output for each unit of the prayer. Again, we do not do prayers for exercise, but a mild movement of the joints with extra calorie utilization is a better form of exercise. Similarly, recitation of the Quran not only produces a tranquility of heart and mind, but improves the memory.

One of the odd nights in the last 10 days of Ramadan is called the night of power when angels descend down, and take the prayer of worship to God for acceptance.

Fasting is a special act of worship which is only between humans and God since no one else knows for sure if this person is actually fasting. Thus God says in a hadith qudsi that "Fasting is for Me and I only will reward it". In another hadith, the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) has said "If one does not give up falsehoods in words and actions, God has no need of him giving up food and drink".

01.Penicillin

Forever enshrined in scientific legend, the discovery of penicillin a group of antibiotics used to combat a variety of bacterial infections is really just a case of dirty dishes. Scottish biologist Alexander Fleming took an August vacation from his day-to-day work in the lab investigating staphylococci, known commonly as staph. Upon his return on Sept. 3, 1928, the perceptive scientist found a strange fungus on a culture he had left in his lab a fungus that had killed off all surrounding bacteria in the culture. Modern medicine was never the same.

02.The Microwave

Sometimes all you really need to make the next leap in science is a snack. Percy Spencer was an American engineer who, while working for Raytheon, walked in front of a magnetron, a vacuum tube used to generate microwaves, and noticed that the chocolate bar in his pocket melted. In 1945 after a few more experiments (one involving an exploding egg), Spencer successfully invented the first microwave oven. The first models were a lot like the early computers: bulky and unrealistic. In 1967, compact microwaves would begin filling American homes. Snacking, then, is good for science.

03.Vulcanized Rubber

In the 1830s, natural rubber was a popular substance for waterproof shoes and boots, but its inability to withstand freezing temperatures and extreme heat soon left consumers and manufacturers frustrated. That led some to say rubber had no future, but Charles Goodyear disagreed. After years of trial and error trying to make rubber more durable, the scientist stumbled upon his greatest discovery by complete accident. In 1839, when showcasing his latest experiment, Goodyear accidentally dropped his rubber concoction on a hot stove. What he discovered was a charred leather-like substance with an elastic rim. Rubber was now weatherproof. Goodyear would never reap the benefits of his discovery and died $200,000 in debt. His surname and legacy live on, however, in the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, which was named after him nearly 40 years after his death.

The inventor of the Coca-Cola wasn't a shrewd businessman, a seller of sweets, or a dreamer looking to strike it rich in the beverage business. John Pemberton just wanted to cure headaches. A pharmacist by profession, Pemberton used two main ingredients in his hopeful headache cure: coca leaves and cola nuts. When his lab assistant accidentally mixed the two with carbonated water, the world's first Coke was the result. Over the years, Coke would tinker with the now-secret recipe. 05.Corn Flakes

It all started with Will Keith Kellogg, his interest in medicine and a bout of forgetfulness. Kellogg assisted his brother, who worked as a doctor at the Battle Creek Sanitarium in Michigan, with patients and their diets. While conducting research with his brother and helping cook meals for patients, Kellogg stumbled upon a discovery that would change his life. Responsible for making bread dough one day, Kellogg accidentally left his main ingredient -- boiled wheat -- sitting out for several hours. When he came back to roll the ingredient into the dough, the wheat became flaky. Curious to see what would happen, Kellogg baked the flaky dough anyway, creating a crunchy and flaky snack. The flakes were a hit with patients, so Kellogg embarked on a mission to enhance the product for large-scale sale. Will Kellogg tinkered with his recipe and finally settled on using corn as a main ingredient for the flakes. He launched his business, 'The Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flakes Company,' in 1906, which eventually came to be known as the Kellogg's company that sells Corn Flakes, other cereals and convenience foods today. 06.Dynamite

Alfred Nobel, a Swedish chemist, and engineer learned this the hard way. In efforts to stabilize nitroglycerin, an explosive liquid, Nobel and laboratory workers experienced several accidents -- one of which ultimately proved fatal. An explosion in Stockholm, Sweden, left Nobel's younger brother and a few others dead in 1864.No one knew how exactly this accident affected Nobel, but most suspect it further pushed him to find a solution to safely store explosive materials. With this new knowledge of the instability of nitroglycerin, Nobel continually tested methods to detonate and store explosives. Some say that Nobel discovered the key to stabilizing the substance through another accident. While transporting nitroglycerin, Nobel noticed that one of the cans accidentally broke open and leaked. He discovered that the material in which the cans were packed -- a sedimentary rock mixture called kieselguhr -- absorbed the liquid perfectly [source: Brunswig]. Since nitroglycerin is most dangerous to handle in its liquid form, the incident led Nobel to explore kieselguhr as a stabilizer for explosives. Ingeniously, Nobel developed a formula that allowed the explosive to be mixed with kieselguhr without hindering its power. He patented his product in 1867, naming it dynamite, which revolutionized construction practices and the creation of explosives.

07.Radioactivity

Bad weather can be the spark of serendipity, too. In 1896, French scientist Henri Becquerel was working on an experiment involving a uranium-enriched crystal. He believed that sunlight was the reason that the crystal would burn its image on a photographic plate. With dark clouds rolling in, Becquerel packed up his gear and decided to continue his research on another sunny day.

A few days later, he retrieved the crystal from a darkened drawer, but the image burned on the plate (above) was, as he described, "fogged." The crystal emitted rays that fogged a plate, but were dismissed as weaker rays compared to William Roentgen's X-ray. Becquerel wouldn't go on to put a name to the phenomenon. He left that for two fellow scientists: Pierre and Marie Curie.

08.Velcro

A dog invented Velcro.

Alright, that's something of an exaggeration, but a dog did play an instrumental role. Swiss engineer George de Mestral was out for a hunting trip with his pooch, and noticed the annoying tendency of burrs to stick to its fur (and his socks). Later, looking under a microscope, Mestral observed the tiny "hooks" that stuck burrs to fabrics and furs. Mestral experimented for years with a variety of textiles before arriving at the newly invented nylon — though it wasn't until two decades later that NASA's fondness for Velcro popularized the tech.

09.Peacemaker

An assistant professor at the University of Buffalo thought he had ruined his project. Instead of picking a 10,000-ohm resistor out of a box to use on a heart-recording prototype, Wilson Great batch took the 1-megaohm variety. The resulting circuit produced a signal that sounded for 1.8 milliseconds, and then paused for a second — a dead ringer for the human heart. Great batch realized the precise current could regulate a pulse, overriding the imperfect heartbeat of the ill. Before this point, pacemakers were television-sized, cumbersome things that were temporarily attached to patients from the outside. But now the effect could be achieved with a small circuit, perfect to tuck into someone's chest.

10.Viagra

Angina Pectoris is a fancy name for chest pain—specifically, spasms in the heart's coronary arteries. The pharmaceutical company Pfizer developed a pill named UK92480 to help constrict these arteries to relieve pain. The pill failed its primary purpose, but the secondary side effect was startling. The drug became known as Viagra, and you know what it does. Pfizer sold $288 million worth of the little blue pill in the first quarter of 2013.

Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are by far the highest paid footballers in the world. Both players have unique contracts with their respective clubs where they are paid salaries after tax. Cristiano Ronaldo signed for Real Madrid back in 2009 for a world record fee and he became the highest paid player in the world when he signed new 5 year deal with Real Madrid back in 2013 and that will keep him at Madrid until 2018. His new 5-year contract is worth £76 million in total and he will be paid £288,000 a week after tax which means he costs Real Madrid a handsome £30 million a year.
When Ronaldo signed this deal Barcelona also facilitated Messi with a new financially improved contract back in 2014 which will keep the star at Camp Nou till 2018. His new contract will earn him as much as £275,000 a week after tax. That is €20 million a year (£14.5 million) and this is after tax numbers making him second highest paid player in the world behind Cristiano Ronaldo. These two are in league of their own both on the pitch and off it as well. They have highly lucrative endorsement deals almost doubling their yearly incomes.
