Brothers Dick and Mac McDonald opened the first McDonald’s restaurant in San Bernardino in 1940, which was barbecue-themed. By 1948, the restaurant changed its focus to hamburgers, french fries and milkshakes; the burgers were half the price of competing diners.
In 1954, milkshake mixer salesman Ray Kroc met the McDonald brothers on a sales trip. He opened his first franchise in 1955 in Des Plaines, Illinois.
McDonald’s began its true financial turnaround in 1956 with Harry Sonneborn, who started their real estate arm, Franchise Realty Corporation. FRC purchased store sites and then leased them back to franchisees at a 20%-40% markup; this mechanism became the primary moneymaker for the McDonald’s Corporation.
Continuing problems with the McDonald brothers prompted Kroc to to purchase the entire business and brand in 1961 for $2.7 million. He financed this with a loan from a New York money manager.
In 1963, McDonald’s began marketing to families and children with the introduction of Ronald McDonald, played by Willard Scott (who previously played Bozo The Clown). Other familiar McDonald menu items such as the Filet-O-Fish, the Big Mac, Egg McMuffin, Quarter Pounder and Happy Meal were introduced in the 60s and 70s.
McDonald’s opened its first international location in Canada in 1967; this was followed by the first locations in Latin America, Asia, Australia and Europe in the early 1970s. By 1972, McDonald’s totaled over $1 billion in sales and had over 2200 restaurants. The 3000th restaurant opened a short time later in 1974. McDonald’s now serves more than 54 million customers in 120 countries each day

Youtube removed kriti movie ~copyright issue

It is always seen that the rich is victorious over the poor, isn’t it? Well YouTube didn’t let this happen. It has taken a decision and you are surely going to praise it for that. You must have surely heard about ‘Kriti’ a short film by Shirish Kunder. It had received a lot of appreciation from movie critics as well as Arvind Kejriwal on Twitter.

But do you know that it is a copy of the film ‘Bob’ directed by Nepalese director Aneel Neupane?

Yes, Aneel submitted all proofs and after being convinced YouTube removed ‘Kriti’.

Aneel stated that ‘Bob’ was a low budget film and proper marketing wasn’t done owing to lack of funds. He adds that the ‘Bob’ was released in October 2015 itself on Vimeo, a private video network and was shared with friends and family.

On the other hand Shirish has slapped a legal notice and said that all his claims are false. Now he seeks an ‘Unconditional written apology’ from Aneel and adds that he hasn’t watched any such video before.
The notice reads “Kunder completed shooting the film in February 2016. It then went into post-production and was published on June 22, 2016″

BIHAR TOPPER RE TEST ~ topper scam

Remember Ruby Rai, the topper of Bihar State Board, who scored 444 out of 500 in Political Science? Yes, she believes that Political Science (which she reads as Prodigal Science) is all about cooking and nothing else! Well, an FIR was filed against her and other toppers, Rahul Kumar and Sourabh Shrestha for irregularities in their results.

Recently, the Board conducted a re-test of these toppers for checking whether they were actually fit to get the score that was seen on their marksheets. Now, Ruby was asked to write an essay on ‘Tulsidas’, the famous poet and guess what she wrote! Well, she wrote just 1 line i.e. “Tulsidas Ji, Pranam”.

Further Ruby told the interrogators that she has forgotten everything what she studied, as the exam was conducted 3 months ago. She also added that she had started her studies 2 years before the exam. Although the topper appeared pretty confident, she failed to write anything in the essay. After this, Ruby and other toppers, who failed in clearing this re-test were arrested and a non-bailable warrant was issued by the Patna court.

Anand Kishor, the Chairman of BSEB states that;

“The panel that examined her (Rai) found her unworthy of the marks she had obtained to top the examination. Following the report, we have cancelled her results,”

When asked about Akshay’s fees of 56 crores, Divya said that she herself doesn’t know about this. Even her hubby Bhushan Kumar stated that these are mere rumors and that the script is still being written by Divya.
