Last night I saw a movie- ‘The Kung Fu Panda’. What impressed me the most in the movie, was the dialogue that the old Kung Fu master turtle says to his disciple Shifu

"Yesterday is a history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift, that’s why it’s called as present"

These lines made my thoughts strong. I’m a person who believes in living life to the fullest. I never care about the past nor do I think of the future. I simply take on the present. And the above lines just made my ideology stronger. I have seen people breaking their heads just thinking over the past and wasting their lives. Some are over cautious and think to take on future without knowing the present itself.

Life is unique for every species living on this planet and humans are not an exception. For humans life is a divine gift. People always either ponder about the past or think about the future. But those who take life as a gift do neither. All that they care about is the present.

Past only reminds me of my missed opportunities whereas future lures me of the opportunities that I may or may not get. But what is truly beneficial for me is the present that gives me the available opportunities to act upon. That’s why I always live my present with 100%. And that’s what I want my readers to do too. Live your present. Enjoy your life.

Confiding- how do I do it??

Is it necessary that we should confide everything to others?? Especially to our close ones. Well often this question creeps in every human beings mind at some stage of life. Confiding everything shows either our innocence or our truthfulness for others. One should be truthful towards others but its innocence that fetches us trouble. So what would a person do in order to avoid innocence but gain faith towards himself/herself from others?

Well I basically tackle this situation in a different manner. According to me confiding matters is done according to the value of the people with whom you want to confide. A wife or husband has higher privilege than other relations. A friend has higher privilege than a colleague.

One should always remember that confiding certain matters would resolve one’s problems while some would increase them. In such case it’s always better to have open talk in an indirect manner with the concerned person from a third person’s perspective. This not only gives us the clear picture in the person’s mind but also relieves us from the dilemma whether to confide or not.

Confiding matters with correct person solves the problem but with the wrong person it only increases. That’s where relationship level helps and suggests whether the person concerned really deserves to know the matter or not.

This funda not only helped me in my life but I also came to know how to read others mind before making a move in my life.

Keep this word in your mind in your life: confiding is the best ways to solve a problem and sometimes easiest way to ask for more.

Character Analyzing Through Food

Senior citizens are kind of people who have lot of experience, advice and knowledge to share with someone. They are the only kind of people living on the globe who are ready to lend ears to what others say. But how many times do we pay attention to what these people say. Anyway that’s not the topic here. I was talking to an old guy aged enough to be a grandpa of a 20 year old. I met this person in train when I was going to city. It started with normal introduction and some detailing. The best moment of the day came when I came to know about a strange ability that the man possessed. He told me “you are jovial, easy going with everyone”. I said “thanks”. But he said he didn’t mean to compliment me. He analyzed my character through the kind of food I eat. Somewhere during the chat I had mentioned about my eating habits. Well then he taught me this unique ability of character judgment after repeated persuasion. Here it goes. According to him the kind of food a man eats reflects his characters. The classification is like this:

1. Sweet: very caring, jovial, easy going, polite.

2. Salty: stingy, mean, selfish.

3. Bitter: stubborn, determined, clear mindset.

4. Spicy: short- tempered, impatient, rude.

Well I don’t know exactly whether this true or not but surly makes me think again and again as my character do resembles to the kind of food I eat. That doesn’t mean I’m like that. In fact I’ve all qualities except for the fact that they are in different proportions as the food I take. Hope you analyze your character too.

P.S.: it’s better to follow healthy eating habits. Overdoing one of its kind would land you in hospital.

Be The Best

Life is always about ups and downs. Surely my life has been like that. And I’m sure almost everyone’s life on the globe is like that. Do we achieve everything what we aspire to become in our lives?? Not exactly. In fact most of us are living the alternative we found when we failed to achieve what we aspired for. Now the question is how far have we accepted, implied that alternative and succeeded in our life. Well if we take a closer analysis and evaluate our progress 90% of us would arrive at one rank- average. In that case we have no one to blame other than ourselves. The very reason for this situation is we haven’t really taken the alternative choice as seriously as we took our aspirations in our early days.

In fact my life till now has also been like the ones in the 90% category. But I’m different in that 90% category too. As a matter of fact I’m unique even though I fall in that 90% category simply because of my different approach towards the alternative choice I had. At first we generally feel for the failure we faced for sometime. Then we half heartedly accept our alternative and live without any future aspirations. I aspire to BE THE BEST in the alternative I have.

This instinct wasn’t inborn but was cultivated and then developed thanks my English professor at school when I was doing my 11^th grade. My then English professor is perhaps the greatest person who has shown me the easier side of light and brought my talents to lime-light. One day she took a poem as a part of our syllabus. The poem was BE THE BEST by Douglas Malloch. The poet (perhaps the greatest ever) emphasized on that alternative we have and instills the spirit in us to “be the best” in what ever field we are. I don’t know about the poet but my professor did instill that spirit in me. This perhaps is the greatest work done by her if not to all of her students but at least to me.

This is the different approach that I’m talking about. Accepting the alternative choice of our life is not our achievement but aspiring to be the best in what ever field we are is the achievement. I’m not providing a medicine for your failure. God forbid. If you ever fail in your life (you will at least once) to achieve what you aimed for then aim to be the best in what you are in now instead of looking away at the train (success) you missed. Motivation Through Inspiration- A new approach to success

Generally as human beings we need motivation when good times are not with us. To achieve something in life we need not only role models but also ample motivation from others. For this reason many people in this world are self-motivating. I’m one amongst them. But the fact is that motivation through inspiration is far more effective for me. Even though self-motivation helps us to rejuvenate all our feelings and boosts our self-esteem, for me it is motivation through inspiration that keeps my battery charged in all aspects (emotionally, physically, and spiritually). Motivation through inspiration gives me one straight feeling and one tag- line that always keeps me on and on:

If he can, why can’t I????

Looking at the tag-line, you may think this motivation is nothing but jealousy. But you would be absolutely wrong. When I take a look at life of others and get inspired from them, I get a burning feeling to achieve a lot more from what they had in a different fashion. Motivation through inspiration is a kind a rocket fuel that sets me on fire and sends my self confidence level sky rocketing. Many people have inspired me. My dad- the way he made his disciplined life out o f nowhere without basic education, Bill Gates- who made his fortune even though being a college dropout, Adolf Hitler- who had nothing but his great orating ability to make him one of the greatest, powerful political leader ever. Many of you wouldn’t agree with me. In fact most of the people have a false notion in their mind that everyone has unique abilities and we shouldn’t try to follow exact steps of other people. Indeed we do and we shouldn’t try to copy others as it’ll rob us of our identity, but all those people with unique abilities climb up in life and only those people who try to adopt those unique abilities along with theirs and implement them in life climb up the success of ladder. That is what motivation through inspiration provides me. It jet shoots the anxiety within me to learn that uniqueness of the person who inspired me and tells me to implement it in my life along with my special talent. I feel that

Intelligent is one, who learns from his mistake,

Great is one who learns from others mistake.

Motivation through inspiration makes me observe the mistakes the people made (who inspired me) on the road to success in life and gives me an edge or should I say a chance to rectify that mistake in my life before even committing it. In this way I’m able to get a hold of that unique ability that they have. Remember motivation from others in life is general for everyone but getting motivated through inspiration from others and bringing up other’s unique abilities along with ours, devoid our life of the miseries others might have faced. I believe that this motivation from inspiration would certainly inspire you to get motivated through inspiration from others.

It took me 17 years (includes childhood) to understand the importance of learning from home and school. And today I would like to make it 18 as finally my 1^st year college has come to an end. When I entered school for the first time in my life, I was emotionally broken that I showed by crying because I had to leave my parents and study (separation for 6 hours). It’s usual in everyone’s life. Next when I entered my college life, I was emotionally broken more because of parting from my school friends. But this time I restrained my emotions as I’m well grown and matured. And now finally my 1^st year college has come to end. At first I thought college life would be very different than school one. And I was right indeed. It is different. Only all those who have stepped into college know the true essence of fun. And now that I’ve tasted it, I’ve only 3 (precious) years to enjoy, relish and live this college life. My 1^st year college has been a hit for me (both in academics and in college culture fun with friends). At present my friends are making a home video of our 1^st year college life. When I get it, I’ll definitely share with you. That’s all folks for this year. I hope you guys also sure love your college days. Bye. Enjoy life :)

Judicial Leniency

Yesterday I was watching a T.V. show that was showing some real life incidents around the world. One such incident made me think about the judicial leniency of my country. This incident happened in a western country. There was a car chase between bank robbers and the police. The robbers were speeding in a vehicle when suddenly they bumped into a tree. Then the police arrested them and were sent for trial in the court where they were sentenced for a rigorous 20 years of imprisonment. I was not astonished the way the robbers were caught but by the punishment they were sentenced to. When I compare the judicial decisions of the western countries with those given in India for the same criminal offense, I feel that the judiciary in India very lenient towards the criminals. The life time imprisonment for criminals itself is 14 years in our country. While in western countries though the criminals are directly given life time sentence they are sentenced 40 to 80 years of imprisonment. . How many times have we seen corrupted politicians getting punishment?? They just escape with bribe or just drag cases till they die. Not even single corrupted person has been given a punishment that would instill fear in other offenders. Not all offenders committing crime like rape, murder are brought to justice. When it comes to offenses committed by common man, the judiciary does nothing. Most of the time people escape with bribe. In fact I feel the idea that punishment like community service like cleaning garbage, public toilet and other social odd jobs should be brought in for offenders who throw garbage, spit, violate traffic rules and many more common but serious offenses. The judiciary must try to make the country a better place to live in. Punishment for the smallest crimes should be made severe to reduce crime. It’s a waste on improving infrastructure and technological development of the country without making people realize the basic civic sense and bringing in brutal punishment by the judiciary for criminals. God save the nation.

5 Mantras of Life

One person who has had a great influence in my life is my tutor in 12^th grade- Mr. Arul Selvan. Usually teachers are only concerned with taking classes and finishing portions. But Arul sir is not among those. He is the visionary who has dedicated years for teaching and produce brilliant students and more importantly to produce useful human being in the society. He would always give lecture to improve life. I don’t how many students who have studied under him still remember his words but I certainly I do. I’m indebted to this person who told me of these 5 priceless assets that a successful man should have. Here I’m sharing them with you:

1. Family: Perhaps the most important asset without which a man is a lonely animal. Only family teaches man what is life and relationship. Without family man cannot survive.

2. Money: Without this no man in this world can survive. That doesn’t we have to be money minded but we should earn money at least to fulfill our basic needs.

3. Health: The most important of the 5 mantras. Without health even though if we’ve other four, life would only be dried cow dung.

4. Attitude: Only a person with good attitude can earn everything in life. Good attitude is the foundation of a healthy strong relationship.

5. Social Involvement: Do something to the needy at least once in your life time. By doing this you’ll prove God that you were born for a purpose.

I don’t know whether these mantras will help you lead your life or not but these are surely my watch words.I just wished to share it with you. I owe Arul Sir for the most priceless advice given to me in my life. Thank you sir.

Chill Pill

Just when I was going to watch UEFA Champions League semifinals between Barcelona and Manchester United, my dad shouted at me to go to sleep. It was 12:00 A.M. I had made an agreement a day before that I’ll be watching the match at night and so I’ll study the whole day. Well I kept my promise but at last I was at the receivers end and was not allowed to see the match. My brain went berserk. My mom was watching the scene from behind and thought I was going to start a fight in the middle of the night. But that’s when my CHILL PILL came in handy. Well chill pill is not any medicine that I’m referring to, but just the method I use to control my anger. Anger management is certainly not a child’s game. It requires lots of practice. Well here are few tips to control your brain when it’s on bulls ride:

1. Do not focus on the actions of the person that seems to provoke anger in you.

2. Leave the place silently and look at the mirror.

3. Focus on the expressions on your face. You’ll laugh in your heart. A person looks silly when his face is full of anger. That’s why people around us laugh when we are angry.

4. Try making cartoon like expressions. If you can’t imagine the anger invoking person in cartoon style.

5. Few minutes later go and have some water. This’ll cool down your brain and whole system.

Well the above tips just might sound silly but these have saved me from ruining my reputation at many instances. I wanted to write something useful and this is what I came across from my life. So next time you are going to explode with anger on someone try a CHILL PILL. Chao.

Shame Game

Well the gentleman's game now seems to have become gentleman's shame. After the launch of IPL it was thought fans would get more dhamaakedar (explosive) cricketing action. And it seems people do get action- players engaging in fight. The Bhajji- Shree tiff on and off field has showcased that the gentleman's game is not so as it's believed to be. first of all the Punjabi Paappe got to learn chill out his mind in the field as his action of slapping Shree has shown him as a player lacking sportsmanship. Shree needs to understand the scenario more and should show some maturity instead of crying like a sissy in front of million people watching the game. The point is if Shree was offended by Bhajji's action why did he change his statement. Well it’s a bit shame for cricket as fellow cricketers take such tournaments very seriously and build up hatred especially when tons of money is at stake by the franchisees. Question is whether this act was an accidental incident or a play just to bring more viewer ship and increase TRP rating as other so called reality shows on the T.V. Whatever it may be this incident has thrown a limelight on the importance players give for money making tournaments rather than pride earning international matches. God Save Cricket

Orkut and Facebook have been arch-rivals when it comes to social networking community. Wooooooooooooooo.. Perhaps you might never hear this sound again when you’ll enter the WWE arena next time. Ric Flair bid goodbye to WWE after he lost his last match of his great career to “The HeartBreak Kid” Shawn Michaels at the Citrus Bowl where the record 73,465 spectators gathered to bid farewell to their greatest superstar of all time. Just a night before Flair’s name was included in the coveted WWE Hall Of Fame. Flair whose tears spoke more than his lips, seemed to be half dead after taking decision to end his phenomenal career at the Grand Finale. The match was fought in true spirits equally by both the superstars especially as Flair didn’t want to disappoint his fans. Perhaps it was Flair’s greatest match of all times who avoided countless pin falls before finally being pinned down. Micheals bid Flair farewell with these words “I AM SORRY” and finished the match by delivering the ‘Sweet Chin Music’ to Flair and thereby winning the match. Shawn kissed Flair’s forehead and couldn’t hide his tears and left the arena. Tears rolled down not only from Flair’s eyes but from the eyes of all 73,465 spectators at the Citrus Bowl. Truly WrestleMania 24 may not be remembered for its matches as all other WrestleManias have been, but will be engraved in stone for the history made that night- Goodbye Flair..

I’m not that good at future predictions so I can’t guess the storyline but I’m damn sure that the graphics, sound features and the environment in the game will sure make you stick to those joysticks for over 100 hours. Google's Android Phone

Well after the buzz created by Apple’s i-Phone in the mobile phone market, the next seems to be created by Google’s so called Android phone. But what actually is this android. Android is actually a linux-based mobile software platform. The Android platform is actually a free software available under Apache open-source license. Apparently it seems Google is going to use this software as the operating system in mobile phones thus leading way to the birth of Android phones. Google stated that Android phone will have a browser that can lead access to any kind of web content possible to view in a desktop computers browser and will let users use facilities like GPS, VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services which cannot be used in phones at present because of the fact that wireless carriers currently offer basic browsers that restrict users to use all the above said services. So the question arises is Google’s mobile platform any better than an existing mobile OS from Palm or Microsoft? Well in that case Google believes open software architecture will allow software developers more flexibility in creating features. Secondly, Android will break the stranglehold that wireless carriers have on bringing new and free applications to customers thereby letting the small players in the mobile industry market to build innovative mobile applications that otherwise might not have reached consumers because the companies lacked the clout to broker deals with wireless carriers. Well for all those guys who stick onto the internet but often are irritated by it’s slow speed, your prayers have been answered by a new technology in the form of WiMAX. Well if it sounds like brother of WiFi just hold on a second. You will call it it’s dad. The Convergence India exhibition in Delhi showcased the technology lying ahead. First Armageddon

This is it. Finally I got the chance for what I've been waiting for. To play in volleyball team for interdepartmental tournament .After a hard practice for past 1 week I finally got this big opportunity that my seniors thought I deserved .Well not many 1st years get this .but in my department the scenario seemed to be opposite .There were bunch of inexperienced seniors and experienced juniors who had volleyball experience at division level during their school days .And with the commitment shown by the seniors for the welfare of the team it was evident that juniors would get the chance to play and I was one among them .The whole tournament has been of surprises .Big teams lost and those believed to be eliminated at the very first round made it to the next round. However the

Semifinals was a treat to watch for the spectators .The first semifinal took place between EEE and MBA department. As EEE is our college team, it was predicted that the semis would be a piece of cake for them and they would easily win it. So did happen. EEE won semis but not as they were believed to be. MBA showed great commitment and even won the first set. However EEE went on to win the remaining two. But the way MBA battled it out won them a great applause not only from the crowd but also from the Physical Education Director (PED) himself .next my department went on to gain a comfortable win over MCA. At last the moment came that none of us even thought about at the beginning of the tournament. We were the finalist against EEE. I heard someone in the crowd saying that match seemed like ROOKIES vs. PROS. And how can I blame the spectator as he was mindset matched everyone who had come to see the match. But there mindset couldn’t suppress the confidence my team was having. And after practicing for nearly a week we were not ready to give away easily. The match kick started. I played for a while but then another player was substituted in for me as I was out of my battery. The match went on interestingly. Sometimes my team would have an advantage of 2-3 points while sometimes it would be just opposite. In the end we lost a hard fought first set 25 - 23. But my team came back with a bang. We went on to have a substantial lead with 15-7. But then came a big change. One of the seniors who had never practiced volleyball came and decided to play in and substituted one player out. Though many seniors were against this they finally allowed this idiot. This broke the coordination between the players and as a result we gave easy points to rivals. Adding to this the substituted senior made some mistakes which eventually brought us down. But other players compensated this with their game play and brought us back into the game. But this wasn’t sufficient for our mistakes and we lost by a hairline margin of two points. Anyway everyone gave a great applause for our fight including our rivals. Even though we lost the match, I would certainly remember this day in my memory book.
