How I love the scent of this when it dries down! It's like a mix of light lime. Kind of like the faint hint of lime in a Gin and Tonic!

The notes in this perfume is: Neroli, Bitter Orange, Pink Grapefruit, Pinot Noir Accord, Jasmine Tea Leaves, Lemongrass, Patchouli, Sandalwood, and Amber.

As you can see by just the list of the notes, it's a very crisp and fresh perfume!

Sadly, this perfume doesn't last very long on me! It goes for about 2-4 hours for me. But it's worth it just for the dried-down scent! Very light, refreshing sparking crisp scent! As if other perfumes who are heavier are like wine and this is like the champagne!

Go have a sniff of it after it dries down on you! Might not work for everyone as perfume is very hard to review.

Pigment post: MAC Mutiny & Circa Plum

Look what I found in my swatch folders! I remember back in the day where people went crazy for these pigments.

Ignore the watermark I did as usual.

Light swatches (indoor)

These are in the old pigment jar before MAC resized them to the smaller jars. These are smooth and with zero fall out if you use a base underneath them. Also they're not chalky as some MAC pigments can turn chalky. These also don't have major fallout because MAC glitter pigments have a tendency to do that. But I always recommend using a base when working with pigments anyway. Once you have a base applied, most pigments should stay on.

Heavy swatches (indoor)

The colours are very similar for indoor and outdoor swatches so I didn't bother going outside for them. These are both limited edition and therefore are discontinued! I'm sorry for all these old swatches. I hope I didn't create any lemmings for you readers! Haha.

I promise my next post will be NEW. Hehe, I just thought I might as well throw in some old swatches I had to start off my blog while preparing for midterms :P

Nail post: MAC Violet Fire

I dug up some old swatches I did before ... 2 years-ish to be exact.

This is MAC Violet Fire back from the Style Warriors collection in 2009.

This is 3 thin coats of Violet Fire. No base or top coat.

In my opinion, it's a nice colour but you have to do it in thin coats because it's quite watery. Only this formula though because I've tried other MAC polishes and it's not usually watery; then again MAC is a hit or miss with their polishes. I didn't take a photo of it but in certain angles it will have a slight blue/cool-tone tinge (so it's a slight duochrome).

Ignore the Yushimi @ Specktra. Haha, I'm too lazy to fix the marking on the photos.

It's a polish you can skip on in my opinion. It wasn't a complete let down for me because I love purples. But if you have something similar then you can skip out and besides...it's 2011 now so I doubt anyone would want to pay the inflation prices for MAC discontinued items!

Overdue update.

So I don't know if I'm going to restart this blog or remake using a new name.

But I have no where else to write this and Twitter limits me to 160words.

A lot has happened since my last post.

Company went down due to conflict of interests. Don't ask.
That affected the launch of my makeup brushes.

My health is horrible now because of an incident that happened in the summer of 2011.

I have been tempted to switch this blog over to a pure beauty blog and because of that, I am tempted to remake a blog under a new name to fits that purpose.

On a serious note why I want to start a beauty blog; I have so much makeup because I collect them like I collect stamps. Also because I am a makeup artist and a semi-retired model; I know tricks of the trades and just love giving advice.

I have SO many products I can review and to admit a secret, I have been reviewing products since the early 2000. It's just not here :)
I've stopped after I hit past 100 reviews because it had gotten to the point where I think there's too much drama to continue reviewing.

The bright side is that I may be coming back as a new blog here or remake a new one.
Of course, if I do remake a new blog, I will be posting the new blog's link to this blog as a new post.

Don't worry everyone, I have not forgotten about you all.

Don't get me wrong. I love listening to people and chatting but when you start being repetitive...we have a problem. I can stand around up to five repeats...once you pass that it just makes me want to hang up.

I know I talk or repeat some things at times too but even I know when to stop.

The anticipation for this studio to launch seemed like it took forever! Owned by two females! Hayley Lam & I ;)

We're mainly focused on weddings but we can do just normal photoshoots if requested!

To keep it short, I'll be doing all the makeup part and Hayley will be doing the shoot. I'll help out how to pose etc. but we're both here to make the day SPECIAL and UNFORGETTABLE :)

Now it's time to get the word out about us!

I will not give up on this business. I'm determine to make this work even though my parents bashed it. I will prove them wrong.

I look like an idiot in pretending to put on make up when I have some already on...

So I've been in contact with the same company that produces MAC brushes for awhile now. The girls out there who buy their items know how pricy their brushes can get. Example: A 150 brush will set you back by $50.50 CAD before taxes! It seems like we've agreed on the same deal. If this all succeed then I'll be launching my own makeup brush line with high quality brushes. I'm VERY tough on quality check. If it's not up to par then I won't even buy it, so why would anyone buy my brushes if they're made crappy?

MAC prices are set high for their quality and I don't blame them because while exchanging conversations with the company I realized that high quality brushes are made with care and beautiful nice material. 4 brushes from MAC can easily cost $150 before taxes.

My goal ,(just like my upcoming studio), is to provide luxury quality at an affordable pricing. An example of my pricing? Using the same example from above, a 150 brush is $50.50 while my brush that will be similar to it will cost about ~$30? I honestly don't know yet until I confirm all the details with them. Still gotta iron out some mini bumps.

Now, to think of a brand name...

Emo? Blood shed virtually!

Yes...I'm emo/not happy in this picture while holding up Starcraft2!

So today everything came crashing down on me. So what did I do when Twitter died on me because I over tweeted? I wanted some blood shed so I played Starcraft 2.

As usual, I played Zerg. Did I tell you how CUTE they are? Hell yea, I'm messed up because I think Zergs are cute. Here's a short breakdown list of how I label them;

Zerglings = Froggies

Overlords = Flying Jellyfishes

Hydralisks = Snakes

Mutalisks = Bats

Ultralisks = Elephants

etc...

Yea, It's like a huge zoo when I play Starcraft 2.

My opinion on Starcraft 2?

If you played Starcraft 1 then you HAVE to play Starcraft 2. Graphics are INSANE. Now, the game play is different. Zergs how have to use damn Overlords to build creep or other units but that's just annoying. Depending on your map, Zergling rush are useless because of stupid 'rocks' that block your opponent's entrance. Too many bigger n00bs must've complained. I don't count myself good in the game but I'm pretty n00b but not n00b enough to complain about Zergling rushes.

Platform I'm running my game on?

I bought a new iMac 27" i5 to just play Starcraft 2 on it.

2.8 GHz Intel Core i5 Quad-Core

2560-by-1440 resolution

4GB ram

1TB hard drive

8x double-layer Super Drive

ATI Radeon HD 5750 with 1GB*

I also bought a copy of Windows 7 to install on it. I now have both Mac OS and Windows 7 on the iMac. (I'm a Windows fan girl still, sorry)

Yes, I'm THAT big of a nerd. I bought a new computer just to play it. Hell yea, that's how much I love it. I have absolutely no lagg when I set the graphics to 'Ultra'. Now, if your graphics are not set to 'Ultra' then you're missing on some pretty orgasmic graphics in Starcraft 2.

Okay, enough with my nerdy talk.

Yea, that's literally how I felt when the iPhone 4 launched.

Frustrated in choices. I was happy with my iPhone 3G and 9000...then that day came. I had both the Blackberry 9700 AND iPhone 4. A lot have asked me on my opinion on them and which one I would prefer, well...here's my opinion.

Apple iPhone 4:

- Good if you're bored 90% of the time in your life

- Easy to learn (Great for the technology-challenged)

- Simplicity to it's finest when it comes to function

- Uploading music is a breeze

- Macro/Auto-focus camera with flash

- HD Video recording

- Thin (For those who care)

- Battery life is a lot better than the older generation

- Excellent for the Apple fan boys and girls

Blackberry 9700:

- Hell lot faster than the older Blackberries

- 2 day battery life

- Easily fixable when broken for the techies out there

- BRIGHT flash for the camera

- Fully customizable with themes and OS (Easily sourced too)

- Trackpad instead of the trackball (A lot less break downs)

- Great for emails (Instant)

- Works with the BEZ server which is used in a lot of corporate companies

- Awesome for the Blackberry Messenger addict

Seriously, if you're not going to use the Blackberry for work then the iPhone 4 might be a better option. Now, if you're addicted to BBM then stick to Blackberry unless you can let go of that service. Switching to the iPhone 4 I've noticed that my emails are not instant. That's terrible for me for work. Thank god I have both phones or else my life would be in chaos. I can easily switch to iPhone 4 only or just the Blackberry 9700 only, but I won't. I've learnt to incorporate both in my life because I'm just a total nerd like that.

Spontaneous Vacation

Lobster Salad Spring Roll

First of all, I'm so sorry my lovelies! I've been caught in my hectic life. I have not updated this or my YouTube channel for awhile because of all the finals I have to write :(

My parents took my sister and I to Seattle's new Four Seasons Hotel. Out of the blue. Those who followed me on Twitter might've noticed that haha. It was for the weekend only. Stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days. Went to the spa and relaxed. A mini get-away from the chaos of life. The 2 pictures you see here is a peek to their new food at the Four Seasons's resaurant named ART :) Unique food = my love.

Foie Gras Sushi

MAC has released Baby Bloom and Love That Look on their site and in stores now.

I went to check it out at my main store. My opinion?

Baby Bloom:

Everything is passable. No seriously. The Suntint balms are literally THICK gel balm in a tube.

Studio Moisture Tint? That's tinted moisterizer. I'm a NC25 and it was hard finding a shade. Ugh.
It was either the Medium = too light or the Medium Dark = too dark.

Overall:

I passed the whole collection.

Love That Look:

Did I tell you how AWESOME these shadows are? Haha.
I have to go and pick up two back ups.
Rated "R" and One-Off = ♥
Both of these colours are unique enough to catch my attention.

I was hoping that Strike A Pose would be different enough from Freshwater to have too, but to me it wasn't enough to make me want it. I have a disgusting amount of blue eyeshadows haha. Those who have seen my traincase would understand that.

Overall:

I got Fly-by-blu and Black Russian eye liners. Also Rated "R", One-Off, Fashion Groupie, Smoke & Diamonds, and Fashion.

I've been tied up lately because of my research project
I just finished my midterms (finally!)
Preparing for a photoshoot this coming Wednesday

I've gotten myself a new pet. A hamster. Yes, a hamster. I named him T-Rex. That's the box he came in when I took it back home from the pet store :) He's in a big roomy cage right now with blankets and everything.

I'm just wondering, did any of you readers wanted product reviews from MAC or other brands? I have a lot of 'stuff' haha so I usually can review most items.

Here's a quick and easy review.
The popular Maybelline Great Lash mascara.

This product is crap. Unless you get the clear one and that is a great quick brow fix. It's a great tip for those makeup artist just starting out. Clear mascara doubles up as a brow fix gel :)

The formula is flaky and does nothing good for your lashes. The only good thing I've found a use for is the wands. I would wash them and use them as disposable wands or use it for other mascaras. Did I also mention how long it takes to dry? An extremely long time.

Save yourself some money and don't get this unless you're getting it in the clear formula.

Now for some MAC!

You all might or might have not known but early on this year MAC has been stirring up some ideas for their next brand product. Hello everyone :)

I hope you're all doing well and not being sick like me.

This is a shout out for contact wearers.

<-- Visine for contacts. Yes, I'm serious. I wear daily contacts which means I throw them out every day when I'm done using them. I wear mine for 12 hours and more sometimes so this bottle of awesomeness saves my eyes. It provides moisture and feels like when I just put them on again. The place where I get mine are always sold out or only have ONE bottle left. I get them at Zellers in Canada but any drugstore should carry them, like CVS for example :) It's DIRT cheap. I got mine for less than $5 CAD. So it has to be cheap too where you're getting it haha.

How's the MAC sale going on? Need recommendations on certain products? Comment in the comment box or send me a message and I'll do reviews ;) Okay, I'm about 2 hours away from my Biology midterm so I'll keep this short. (drum roll) Chanel release a LIGHT green polish. Yea, it's to drool for. You heard me, to DROOL for. Lolz. First post of my blog. I wanted the name Yushimi, but it seems like someone took it already so I had to use my backup name. Hence, YushimiLuw is the name on the URL.

My name is Christine. Vancouver is my home city and it still is the city I'm living in this very moment. Haha. I'm currently an university student (soon to be a med student), a makeup artist, and a model.

I'll be blogging about my daily life, my makeup artist life and work, modeling, cars (just because I'm a car freak), etc.
