Trivium adalah band Heavy Metal dari Orlando, Florida, dibentuk pada tahun 1999.
Trivium menggabungkan beberapa genre heavy metal seperti Metalcore, Thrash Metal, Progressive Metal, Alternative Metal, Groove Metal, dan bahkan Death Metal.
Gaya mereka telah berkembang selama bertahun-tahun dari album awal mereka mulai Ember untuk Inferno sampai ke Shogun, ada yang jelas terpengaruh thrash dari Metallica dan beberapa pengaruh awal dari In Flames.

Theatre of Tragedy adalah band Gothic Metal dari Stavanger, Norwegia.
Band ini memanfaatkan kontras vokal - vokal bass laki-laki (dengan "Death Grunts" di beberapa bagian) dengan vokal sopran perempuan (biasanya disebut sebagai "Beauty and the Beast").

Pada tiga album pertama mereka dimulai dari album Musique, lyrics ditulis dalam "Early Modern English". Bagaimanapun, Theatre of Tragedy membuat perubahan drastis untuk gaya mereka.
Mereka mulai terinspirasi oleh genre rock industri, meninggalkan "Early Modern English" dan gaya vokal "Death Grunts".

Avenged Sevenfold adalah band Rock Amerika dari Huntington Beach, California. Dibentuk pada tahun 1999.
Menurut vokalis M. Shadows nama itu sendiri berasal dari Alkitab (King James Bible) Kejadian 4:15 ini pada dasarnya pembunuhan pertama di Bumi antara Kain dan Habel.
Agar tidak ada kebingungan, M. Shadows menjelaskan bahwa Avenged Sevenfold bukan band agama.
Singkatan The "A7X "untuk nama band mereka adalah gagasan gitaris Zacky Vengeance.

Epica adalah salah satu band Progressive Metal/Gothic Metal/Symphonic Metal dari Belanda. Didirikan oleh gitaris dan vokalis Mark Jansen pada tahun 2002 setelah dia keluar dari Band After Forever .

Mark Jansen pertama memilih nama Sahara Dust untuk band ini. Nama Epica sendiri diilhami oleh album Kamelot, "Epica".

Musik Epica adalah perpaduan antara Gothic Metal dan Power Metal dengan music yang cenderung agresif tapi juga kental dengan nuansa ‘epic, agung dan megah’.

Mereka menggabungkan Dua Titik Ekstrim, antara vokal Simone Simons yang berkarakter Mezzo-sopran dengan vocal Mark Jansen yang lebih ‘Death Grunts’.

Epica juga dikenal menggunakan paduan suara dan orkestra (terdiri dari dua laki-laki, enam wanita, sebuah string orkestra, tiga biola, dua violas, dua cello, dan double bass), Dengan hiasan tambahan, seperti resital kata yang diucapkan dan lirik dalam bahasa Latin dan bahasa Arab.
