Inviting Loved Ones Back to the Church

Using the Parable of the Prodigal son, Sr. Theresa Noble, a formerly fallen away Catholic, gently covers the necessary elements of approaching those who have left the Church. She encourages readers to meet them where they are while emphasizing the importance of the faith.

We will meet weekly to discuss a few chapter of the book and apply her ideas to our own experiences.

There are two options.

Father Jack will present "The Communal Dimension of Prayer: Supporting the Life of Faith." We will hear from a few parishioners who have participated in small faith sharing groups, and, if you are interested in being part of a small faith sharing group, there will be an opportunity to sign up or start one of your own. Thursday at 7 p.m. in Beckerle Hall.

We will have a parish Mardi Gras Party on Sunday Feb. 15th, following the 10:30 Mass.

There will be Cajun food, King Cakes, music and masks.

To reserve a spot, sign up and pay at the table after Mass this weekend or next weekend. $10 for an individual, $5 for kids, and a $25 family special.

· 1-2 helpers before 8:00am Mass (arrive by 7:30am) SET UP CREW & SERVERS & PREP CREW...these helpers can attend 8:00am Mass you'd like and will return afterwards to help serve

· PREP CREW If others would like to come help in between the 8:00am Mass and the 10:30am Mass those who served before 8:00am could leave

· CLEAN UP CREW 2-3 helpers after the 10:30am Mass

Super Bowl Party Youth Event

All Saint Mary youth are invited to join as we watch the Super Bowl, eat yummy food, and have some fun games w/ prizes. Sunday, February 1 from 5pm - 9:30pm (or until the game ends).

We will need a few parents to be present to help with crowd control, so if you and/or your child plan to attend please bring a snack to share!

Tulsa March for Life 2015

All Saint Mary youth are invited and encouraged to meet at Holy Family Cathedral TOMORROW Thursday, January 22 for Mass (celebrated by Bishop Slattery) @ 5:30pm and the Tulsa March for Life which follows.

We'd love for St. Mary Youth Ministry to be well-represented at this year's March by having lots of youth participate!!!

Blake will be at the Mass and the March and will lead the Youth Ministry group. However, this is not an official St. Mary Youth Ministry event, so parents are 100% responsible for their children during the entire event (Mass & March).

The 19th annual Oklahoma Catholic Men’s Conference is right around the corner. Get ready for a fantastic day of inspiration, fellowship and food for the soul. The theme of the conference this year is "Forged by Grace." Author George Weigel and broadcaster Al Kresta are on the impressive list of presenters. To register early at a discounted rate, go to catholicmen.net, or pick up a registration card in the community center after Sunday Mass.

We are planning on renting a van to drive down to the convention center. Cost for a ride is $15. If you are interested in riding over with other men from the Church of Saint Mary, or have any other questions, contact Brian Desmarais at the parish office.

Desserts Needed for Homeless Christmas Luncheon

Please help us feed over 600 homeless people!

The St. Mary Social Justice Ministry helps the Day Center for the Homeless with their annual Christmas dinner for their guests by providing desserts to go along with their meal.

Please bring any dessert to the St. Mary Office Annex on Tuesday, December 9th between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and we will take them the the Day Center for the Homeless.

If you have any questions, please call Hilary Elias at (918) 749-2561 or helias@churchofsaintmary.com.

For the homeless in our community, this Christmas Dinner is the only meal they will receive during the festive holiday months. Please help us spread Christ's love by helping our neighbors in need.

'rooted' A Middle School Prayer Experience is an opportunity for our 6-8th grade youth to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ by learning to listen to his voice in prayer. This is also a wonderful way for our youth to enter more fully into the richness of this Advent Season.

Hats & Gloves Needed!

Our first cold snap of the season is upon us and it's cold outside!

Imagine being out in this cold weather without shelter or anyway to stay warm. Our Social Justice Ministry is collecting hats and gloves for our neighbors in need who come to us for assistance. We are collecting for both children and adults. You can drop them off at the Office Annex during the week or in the shopping carts by the church doors when you come to Mass on the weekends.
