McDonald's Happy Meal Minions collectible toys started with the release of the Despicable Me 2 movie on summer 2013. Everyone went craze over them and the toys were such a hit that some fans started collecting all Minion happy meal toys from all over the world! And I just happen to be one of them! hahaha
There were 19 of these funny and lovable character on the Despicable Me Happy Meal toy 2013 Edition. I also happen to have 15 out of 19 of them. The Latin American and Australian purple minions are very rare and are too expensive if you buy them online. I'd be one happy collector if I get to complete my set of 2013 minions.

Moving forward, these beloved yellow henchmen are back in the Mcdonald's Happy Meal toys with the release of their very own movie entitled "Minions" of course, what else? haha

The new Minion movie comes out on July 10, 2015 here in the Philippines. McDonald's Philippines has the same set of 10 minion toys that has been released late May-early June in Malaysia ahead of the Philippines. This time around I was able to pre-order my Minion Toys as a complete set and got them last June 26. The set comes in a yellow happy meal type of box from McDonalds. See photo of my own complete set on the right side. :)

The McDonald's Happy Meal Minion toys 2015 counts to 25 in total Worldwide! And I only got 10 of them. :( Anyone would like to send me some minions from Latin America, US and Australia set? hehehe

How to set up password on start up in a macbook pro OS Maverick

So I set up a password for my admin account in my macbook pro and I want it to have a password when I open it and it starts up just to add privacy and security since I haven't really thought of doing that ever since I got my macbook pro. So I did that, set up the password and all (If you want to read about how to set up users and password on your macbook OS Maverick read here). But after I shut down my mac and open it there was no password that showed up upon log-in as what should be expected. So I tried googling to find the answer. And then I found the answer. My account/username was actually set up to automatically log-in upon start up and bypass my password. Found the solution on apple site.

If you don’t see a login window when you start your Mac

"If your Mac starts up without displaying the login window, it’s set up to bypass the login window and automatically log in a particular user."

"Important: Automatic login allows anyone to access your Mac simply by restarting it. If automatic login is enabled, make sure your Mac doesn’t automatically log in an administrator. "

Here are the steps:

1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Users & Groups, then click Login Options.

then

2. If the options are dimmed, click the lock icon to unlock it, then type an administrator name and password.

3. Choose Off from the “Automatic login” pop-up menu.

The next time you start up your Mac, the login window appears, and a user name and password are required to log in.

How to Change the Screen Resolution inside a browser page.

Two night ago I was making a post for my anime blog and suddenly I was faced with a problem of having my screen resolution becoming really smaller from the original one that I was using earlier. This happened after I was doing the drag and drop on the mouse which was actually a little defective. Let me show you how small the screen of the browser was. check out the photo below. Just click the photo to see original size.

I check on the other browser pages and they were all on their normal screen resolutions. I tried randomly clicking the mouse, and doing finger gestures on the touch pad and nothing happened. So, as always to find a solution to the problem,I just googled about it. I looked through some articles and found out that the problem could just be the size of the text being altered. Therefore, I tried doing the suggested solutions but unfortunately I could not find properties that was suggested. Eventually I found a site that had several solutions to my problem and then finally I found it and it was such an easy fix. The solution is to:

Hold control (ctrl key) and move your scroll wheel up and down.

It was also said that the screen resolution was not change it was only the size of the text. So after reading that, I tried it and it worked like a charm. Check out the photo below after I did the hold ctrl key and moving scroll wheel of the mouse UP(to increase) and DOWN(to decrease) text size.

Classic Tales - New Twist

Just this Wednesday, my boyfriend and I watched the movie Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. As the teaser on the movie poster says, the movie was definitely a Classic tale with a new twist. We all know the tale of Hansel and Gretel when we were young and that tale was actually portrayed on the beginning of the movie where they got lost on woods and found a ginger bread house and confronted a the witch who owns the house. With their encounter with the witch the twist of the movie began.

This trend of classic tales being made into a movie with a new twist which seems to be very effective and appealing to the audience has in my opinion started with the movie Red Riding Hood (2011) starring Amanda Seyfried as Red Riding Hood. But the most popular of this trend was the 2012 movie Snow White and the Huntsman just last year (2012) starring Kirsten Stewart, Charlize Theron, and Chris Hemsworth. I think the twist on that movie was very interesting and exciting at the same time. Important elements on the classic tale of snow white were present on the Snow White and the Huntsman, such as the famous poisoned apple, the 7 dwarves, prince charming, and the revival of snow white from the death of the poisoned apple. What I actually liked about it was that Snow White was no longer just a damsel in distress, she became a woman who was able to stand up against evil and fight for her kingdom.

Oh, and I actually remembered the movie Beastly starring Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer, which was actually a modern interpretation of the tale Beauty and the Beast. That was actually a fun movie, but I can't put it on the same catery as the 3 movies mentioned earlier since all 3 movies have the setting in old era/time. Beastly was set on the modern or present day although it was based on the classic Beauty and the Beast.

Classic Tales interpreted in todays modern taste with these surprising twist makes these classic tale themed movies more interesting and enjoyable to watch on cinemas. Although those twist and modern interpretation make is more appealing for movie goers to watch it, it definitely make it unfit for the children to watch it due to some sexual, violent and bloody scenes that the movie contain such as in the case of the movie Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters. I think this movie is PG 13 so younger audience might have to wait 'til they are on the right age to watch it. I suggest for kids to watch the animated movie the Rise of the Guardians which is a really heart warming movie perfect for the whole family which the little ones will surely love.

How to eject a stuck cd from a Mac SuperDrive

Just last night I'm am face with another problem with using a macbook laptop. And what might that be? Well, the problem was as the Title of this post tells you, yes it is indeed a stuck cd on the mac superdrive (cd-rom drive). As i put the cd on the superdrive i waited for it to load and appear on the desktop but after waiting for a few minutes nothing happened. The cd icon did not appear on my mac's desktop/screen. So to eject the problematic cd, I press the eject key but nothing happened. I hold pressed the eject key and still nothing happened. Then I remembered there was this command key/phrase used to eject stuck cd on mac but the problem was I just couldn't remember the exact words and process on how to do it. And so as usual I just google search it and then found the just what I need. Here are the steps that I used to eject a cd that got stuck on your mac superdrive.

1. Click the Finder icon on your mac dock station

or on the upper menu of your mac look for the search box and type "Utilities"

Click utilities to open that folder then look for the Terminal icon

Click to open terminal then type the phrase drutil eject then press enter

That's it. After you press enter the CD will eject.

Simple Photo Editing on Macbook Pro

Just recently I got a my mom's macbook pro and since my a microsoft windows user I still adjusting into the user interface of the mac ios. But I love idevices like iphones and ipod touch because I find them easy to use and very much efficient. But using macbook pro ios isn't easy for me since as I've mentioned earlier i'm accustomed in using windows OS. I am still getting to know to to operate my macbook laptop slowly as a explore it everytime I use it.

Just last night I had a hard time finding out how to edit two images into one image since I want to use it in my other blog. I wanted to cut the other image and paste it into the other one to make my own customized image. So I tried doing that by the usual method as I would do on a Windows OS but try as I might it just could be because there is no cut and paste on iPhoto [macbook's image editor]. My initial action was to google how to cut and paste on iphoto. Then what I found out is that there is no way to cut and paste an image into another image on the macbook. An external editing software is required to cut and paste and then you can edit/retouch on iphoto. Through google search I found the solution for my problem and it turns out the solution is on the Apple's Support Community forum. Here is the link.

Among the suggestions from that forum I used the Seashore software for my image editing and fortunately it did just what I wanted. Below are the images I wanted to merge into one. These two images are snapshots of a video of Kimi to Boku Season 2 episode 1.

I opened each file [image 1 and image 2] using the seashore and then cropped and cut image 2 and paste it onto the image 1. I save the merged image then opened it with iPhoto to do some retouches. Then I saved the changes made and then it is done. The result is the first image you can see above which is Image3.

How to Fix error "1013" when restoring iPhone

I was planning to jailbreak my iPhone but sadly I actually updated it to 4.3.4 iOS firmware which only has a tethered jailbreak. So, i tried downgrading it and looking at videos at youtube on how to downgrade my iphone. I tried downgrading without SHSH blob, but nothing happened. I even tried jailbreaking it to first before I tried downgrading but to no avail. I actually spent my whole day and night trying to downgrade my iphone but there were just errors after errors. I got tired of what I was doing until I decided to just get my iPhone unjailbroken. So i tried restoring it to its original unjailbroken firmware but it just wouldn't restore successfully. And everytime i try restoring it again i get the same error message all the time, that is error "1013". And what's worst is that it was stuck on Recovery mode. I couldn't sleep until I got my iphone working again. I searched youtube and tried about 3 videos before I finally found one video that actually work and solved my problem. So, how did i fixed my iphone out of recovery mode? Well, the video which helped me is below, I posted it here because maybe someone of you had the same experience and had a hard time fixing your phone and thought you've bricked it.

This really helped me restore my iphone back but unfortunately my iPhone had to be updated to the latest 4.3.5 iOS firmware.

How to set up mobile Internet on your iPad device

I just received an iPad from my mother as a gift given to her by a friend. So I tried exploring it and connecting it to the Internet. Connecting the device to wifi was easy. And since iPad comes with a sim slot I thought I of trying out mobile intenet on it just like how it is on the iPhone. But since it cannot send text to register to mobile internet promos of any telecom network I had to put the sim to my iPhone first and register with SUPERSURF50 to be able to enjoy unlimited surfing for 1 day.SUPERSURF50 is an unlimited mobile Internet surfing for Globe network. To register txt SUPERSURF50 and send to 8888. Anyways, after I successfully registered the sim for a 1 day unlisurf, I took the sim out of the iPhone and put it back to the iPad. Then after that, I waited until my sim has a signal from Globe before I started setting everything else. Below are the pics and steps on setting mobile internet on you iPad.

1. Go to settings then tap Carrier. See below. The tap Globe.

2. Then tap Mobile Data. Switch the mobile data on "ON" mode (if it isn't ON yet). See below. Then tap APN setting.

3. Then in the APN input http.globe.com.ph. See below.

4. Then that's it. All you need to do it try it and go surf the internet using the Safari browser. But make sure your wi-fi is turned off first before surfing the net to make sure mobile Internet is actually working.

Do it Yourself PSP hacking

I should have written this a long time ago but I was really lazy that I only did it just now. What I'm writing about is how I was able to hack my PSP 3000. I can personally say that even if your a newbie at hacking something like a psp or iphone or ipod touch and the like it is really possible for you to do so. It is risky but sometimes you need to take the risk to do things on your own right? If not, then you won't learn new things. I won't be posting here steps on how to hack a psp 3000 instead, I will just post the links you need and key points you must remember to be able to successfully hack your psp. My Warning, or rather my Advice if you want to try hacking your psp, first you must do research. Read about how it is done, watch videos and read articles about it. You can read about it on the net, just google it. Then, before trying it, make sure you have read the procedures many times and have grasp the step on how to do it. Also watch the video of the procedure several times before doing it yourself. If you are confident enough and you think you are ready, then start hacking. So, below are the links you need.

This is a video of how to hack you psp 3000 using 6.20 pro b4. what I used in my psp is pro b6. whichever you want to try the procedures are the same. Just Follow the instructions carefully (CAREFULLY). After all, they are very simple and so easy to follow.Very important to remember, READ READ READ, WATCH WATCH WATCH. READ carefully the description part of the video. See picture below.

Then download the things which are applicable to your psp. You will know which one it is when you have read through the description information.Then, WATCH the video several times (about 3 to 5 times) before attempting the hacking. When you've gained confidence that you have grasp the procedure very well and your are ready, then do it step by step. You can even pause and play the video while you're hacking step by step.

KEYPOINTS TO REMEMBER!!

THIS WILL WORK ON ALL PSP MODELS, FROM 01g - 05g. 07g and 09g ARE NOT SUPPORTED FOR THIS METHOD. To know you psp model or mother board, see first link above.
If your psp is above 6.20 version (i.e. 6.35 and above), you have to downgrade to 6.20.
If your psp is below 6.20 then you must upgrade to 6.20. (how to downgrade and upgrade are also on the video.)

Activate iPhone 4 GPRS/MMS setting in Smart network

When I posted Activate GPRS/MMS on iPhone 4 with Globe network, my iphone's gprs/mms was working well or else I wouldn't be posting it online. But then after a while it stopped working again. I tried looking for solutions but unfortunately found nothing. So for those still using Globe simcards, I suggest you just have to go visit Globe and ask how to activate it. Anyways, what I did to my iphone is change my sim. Instead of Globe, I'm using Smart Buddy now. I activated Gprs/mms using the same procedure but different mmsc and mms proxy.

setting your gprs/mms on iPhone 4 with Smart network
1. go to settings
2. tap general
3. tap newtwork
4. then Cellular Data Network
5. under Cellular Data you will see two sections Cellular Data and MMS. These sections will be the ones you will have to edit.

Reminders,I'm using SMART BUDDY simcard. I recommend using smart If you really want to use your iphone's mobile internet. because if you're still be using globe, it just a waste or your load. Supersurf50 by Globe will just be a waste with iPhone4 because its mobile internet connection won't be established. Smart sim is thea only way for me. And if you like, you could try it too.It's your choice to make.

Activate GPRS/MMS on iPhone 4 with Globe network[UPDATED]

I thought of sharing this because before I was able to activate my iPhone's GPRS/MMS I got a really hard time trying to find a way to make it work. I tried Globe's GPRS setting found on the sim application but it needs a unit model of your phone and it was just a waste of time since it does not accept the iPhone model unit keyword I type into it. Therefore I had no other choice but to configure or set it up manually. After several search from the web and trials, finally I got it. My iPhone's GPRS/MMS finally worked. Below are the steps on how I activated gprs/mms manually.

1. go to settings
2. tap general
3. tap newtwork
4. then Cellular Data Network
5. under Cellular Data you will see two sections Cellular Data and MMS. These sections will be the ones you will have to edit.
