Baby Responding to Sebastian's Voice

Last evening, as usual, Sebastian will be playing with his toys in the room. While he's playing with the toy helicopter, making flying noises, our baby moved in mummy's womb. Each time Sebastian starts to play, our baby will move and kick. Hahahaha ... either he's trying to protest that "koko" is too noisy or he wants to play with "koko".

Once a while, Sebastian will go over to mummy's tummy and 'sayang' his l'll brother and tell him that 'koko here' or 'Sebastian boy here'. Really can't wait for our baby to be borned. It'll definitely be a handful having 2 boys running around. Hopefully age won't catch up with me so soon and I'll still have the energy to go crazy with them. As long as I still have the energy, I'll do my best to be part of their life.

Ben10: Live on Stage - Power of the Omnitrix

Won tickets to watch Ben 10 Live on Stage: Power of the Omnitrix at KLCC plenary hall on the 28th December 8pm. Thanks to NST contest. Well, guess who is the happiest of them all. None other than my dear l'll boy. He's not even 2 yet and he's so into Ben 10. Everytime he'll ask to wear mummy's watch and hit it shouting Ben 10. I guess he really thinks that with the watch, he can turn into the alien characters as Ben 10. Hahahahahaha ....

Look at the photo of him coming down the stairs, all ready to watch his favourite hero live on stage. My l'll boy sure has grown up fast. We arrived earlier than expected and walked around Suria KLCC. I went to the children section and bought him a Ben 10 t-shirt with the XLR8 alien for him to change for his show. Looking around, I can see lots of other Ben 10 fans around; some after the show and some waiting for the 8pm slot.

Walked over to the KLCC plenary hall located at 1st floor. By now my arms are aching since I didn't bring along the stroller and have to carry him the whole time. When I finally arrived, I heave a sigh of relief and put Sebastian down. Me, Sab and Seb walked around the foyer and have a looked at the merchandise on sale. Then Seb starts running around and have his pictures taken with the alien characters and none other his hero, Ben 10.

At the start of the show, he was so excited and he shouted "Ben 10 now ... Ben 10 now !!!" so loudly. The lady next to us laughed and told her children that Ben 10 has such a young fan. Throughout the show, he's so engrossed and didn't even blink his eyes. It was really a new experience for him seeing Ben 10 and all the characters live on stage.

When the show ended, he was so funny. He told us that Ben 10 went home. After walking out, we walked around awhile and took some pictures with the Twin Towers as our background. Seb sure was tired after his whole new experience. After a bottle of milk in the car, he conked out straightaway. He must be dreaming of Ben 10 the whole time cuz' the next morning when he woke up, he told mummy that he wants to go watch Ben 10 again ... hahahahaha ...

What name should I give my dear baby boy? I've to start from the alphabet A and slowly work to Z to pick our favourite name. Maybe name him Eric Jr ... hahahaha ...

Slowly Sebastian is starting to understand and grab the meaning when we tell him that mummy is having a baby. I think it dawned on him when he witnessed it himself during Sabrina's checkup and he saw the baby on the screen. Maybe we'll ask him what name he wants for the his l'll brother ... I bet he'll say Ben10 .... hahahaha ...

Sabrina went for the second checkup on Wednesday. Our baby is now approximately 16 weeks+ old. Same as Sebastian, our l'll baby is proud to show us his jewels. Hahahaha ... Well, at least we are able to recycle lots of things especially clothes.

Really wonder how our 2nd boy will look like and is his character the same as Sebastian. But bottomline, I pray that our l'll baby will grow up healthy in mummy's womb.

First Taste of Solid Food

At 5 months +, my little boy finally has his first taste of solid food. We started him off with baby's step 1 cereals. Gave him 2 scoops mix with warm water. He totally enjoyed it. He was so excited and lunge forward when the spoon is nearing his mouth.

How fast they grow. It's like been a while when he was still a small little bundle. Now he's starting solid and learning to seat. Not forgetting testing his vocal cord daily by shouting for nothing. Hahahaha ... he must be thinking, "I can sing ... I'm the world best tenor". :P ...

Waiting to see what his next surprise will be ..... :D ...

Long time no blog

It's been a long time I post any entires. Been busy with work, life and family. Phew ..... wat a handful. No time for myself anymore... hahahaha ... but it is worth it.

Baby Seb has grown and he's starting to be curious of his surroundings. He's very observant and simply enjoys music especially Barney ... hahaha ... he can sit quietly in his "rocking" chair and watch Barney. Depending on his mood, he'll laugh and get excited.

Recently, a funny thing, he's starting to turn and whenever he wants to sleep, he'll try to turn and lie down on his tummy. Must be a sudden fad that he just picked up that fasnicates him .... hahahaha ...

The day arrived where mummy got to get back to work. Woke up 5am in the morning to get ready for work and feed baby Seb. By 7am we have to be ready and out the house we go to fetch Seb over to my parents house where my mum will help to take care of him during the day. Got to adjust our time and lifestyle.

Sleepless nights

Didn't really sleep well last night. Baby Seb woke up few times for milk. After the second feeding, before he can be burped, he puked out the milk all over. Messy job. Got to change and clean him. And also clean up his baby cot. Since his cot is not available, he took over my place in bed and poor daddy got to sleep on the floor. But one look at him smile at us in the morning, it's worth it ... :) ...

Sebastian First Hair Cut

One fine sunny Sunday morning, we decided to bring our dear little baby boy to our infamous Malaysian Indian barber shop to have his head shaved. Yeah, we shaved our baby boy bald or as we called it "botak".

Look at him, he's so happy not knowing what going to be done to him ... :P

The moment arrives and it dawned on him that he's going to lose his sexy baby hair.

Baby Sebastian Full Moon

Sebastian celebrated his full moon on the 26th Jan, 2008. We had a party for him over at my parent's house and he received lots of presents and ang-pows. As usual, he slept throughout the whole night. When there are lots of people around he will go into "sleep-mode" no matter how noisy it is. But when arrive home, his eyes will be as big as marble and will be awake for few hours. Hahahahaha .....

Finally, our baby boy has his full name... :)

He's hereby named:

SEBASTIAN FOO JIN-ER (胡晋尔)

After much anticipation, we decided on this name from some choices. Went online to search for the meaning of the words since I'm chinese illiterate. Also the pronunciation for both mandarin and cantonese. As parents we got to be able to pronounce our baby's name correctly rite?? ... ;)

Everyday I see him, his looks seems to change. The makcik (urut lady) told my wife that baby's look changes 3 times a day. Wow ... talk about transformation. Sometimes when I see him, he looks like me and sometimes he looks like my wife ... :) Especially now that I'm back to work (yeah ... back to slavery in the rat race), I only get to see him in the evening and the difference is obvious.

These few days he's getting lots of heat rash on his face. Aunty told us that it's heat inside the baby that is being released out and will clear in few days time. It started out from his neck and slowly to his face. My poor boy ... he gets irritated at times since I guess it must be itchy. Hopefully it'll clear off soon and he get back his nice smooth baby skin .... :)

Happy new year to all ... :) ...

Been busy for the past 5 days. Our baby boy is already 5 days old. So far I've not really experience the true process of being a father since my parents hired a confinement lady (aunty) to look after mummy and baby for the first month ... I guess the 2nd month, both of us will be waking up in the middle of the night. :P

But anyhow, it's worth it seeing him. His face changes everyday. Hahahaha ... as handsome and cool as daddy. Today he was so mischevious. After he pooped a major one on aunty, we tried to coax him to pee as well. But after a while of failed attempt, we decided to change his diaper. When I put his new diaper, he pooped again and peed. Wow ... deadly pee. Can really shoot ... so got to watch out. hahahahaha ....

Proud Father of a Lovely Baby Boy

At last the wait is over. Sabrina gave birth to our dear baby boy this afternoon, 27-12-07.

Sabrina felt a slight pain at night while sleeping so we decided to visit the gynae the next morning. Upong checkup, DR Goon told us that Sab is ready to give birth today. So she was admitted but then too bad. All the single bedded rooms are taken. That's why I'm able to blog my happy moments now ... :)

She went into the delivery room at 12pm where the water bag was burst and was hooked up to the CTG machine and also drip. DR told us that Sab will deliver in 7-8 hours time. So I was prepared to wait for a long time together with Sab in the delivery room. But then, at around 2.30pm, the mid-wife told me that Sab is dilated enough and she can see baby's head.

It was a fast labor that shocked the midwife and our gynae since we were all expecting baby to be borned at approximately 7pm. Well, wat can I say. Our baby is a good boy who doesn't want his mummy to suffer for so long hours. I thank the LORD that the delivery went smoothly without any complications and sort of painless for Sab. Materniy ward staff of Pantai Cheras was also very professional and friendly.

Baby Development Update: 04

Currently on leave now awaiting for the arrival of our baby. From the last visit, doc told us that the cervix is already dilated by 2 cm and performed a CTG test to determine the contraction time. But then, we were sent home since the test result shows that the contractions are irregular. So, here we are waiting anxiously every day and night for the sign. :) I guess our baby still wants to be in the comfort of his mummy's womb.

I joked with Sabrina that maybe he wants to have his Christmas lunch and dinner before being borned cuz after that all he gets is milk ... hahahahahahaha ....

Baby Development Update: 03

Sab is in her week 38 of pregnancy. Wow, imagine that. Our baby is going to be 38 weeks old. The timebomb is ticking away and anytime, will activate and explode. Phew..... Hopefully I won't panic at that point of time .... hahahahaha.

Our baby is very active. Keeps on moving and kicking his mummy. Quite often we can see his elbow and knee protruding out and we'll tickle him causing him to move again. :) ... Only hope that he won't be as active when he's born; especially at night ... :P else I'll have panda eyes every day.

Last night I took out the infant car seat to practice fastening it to the back-seat. The infant car seat sure is big. It takes up quite a bit of room. I think I need a bigger car to ferry all the baby stuff next time. Hahahaaha .... stroller, baby bag, diaper bag, toys .... phew .... it will be like camping each time we go out ...

Baby Development Update: 02

Our baby is really active. Moving, turning and kicking hard. At times, Sabrina's tummy gets out-of-shape when he moves to one-side. We are able to see waves on the tummy as he turns to find a nice spot. We'll start playing around with him by rubbing him and he'll move. He must be thinking "who are these people who keeps on disturbing my sleep. Grrrrrrr ...... " hahahaha ... the most funny thing is he gets hiccups often.

Really can't wait for him to arrive.

Baby Development Update: 01

I accompanied my wife to the gynae last Saturday for her checkup. Our baby is growing healthily and bigger... :) From the scan, we can see that his head is facing down which is a good sign and also the amniotic water is sufficient. The fortnightly visits are now turning into weekly visits as the due date draws nearer and nearer. And soon, our little baby will be in our arms... :)

Sabrina got a shock when the nurse told her that our baby may arrive before Christmas if her cervix is dilated enough. And usually for the first child, the due date tends to be early. So now, I always whisper to our baby that we'll see him in few weeks time... :)

I've already packed the mother and baby bag to be brought to the hospital. Luckily the hospital is only 10 minutes drive away from my home (without the jam). So if anyone sees me driving like a F1 driver heading towards the hospital in Cheras; that'll be me. So get out of my way ... hahahaha ...

At last the week is over ... it's 4.35 pm now. Half hour more to go and I'm out of the building. This year end is stressful. Lots of production problems and enhancements to be done to our system. Damn ... tht's the life of an IT slave.

Clock is ticking ...

Months turns into weeks ...

Here I am waiting anxiously and yet with a burst of excitement and happiness waiting for the arrival of our dear baby boy.

Sabrina is now in her 34th Week of her pregnancy.... :) Baby is growing bigger and healthy. He must think he's Jet Li. Kicking, punching and somersault inside the womb ... :P ... that's my boy.

OOooooo .... both of us can't wait for the day to arrive.
