Welcome to the Alliance of Women Directors’ new blog. As we continue working towards our goals of lifting more women and their filmic visions into the professional marketplace and supporting each others work in the process, we are adding this resource to the AWD webpage to help further that end. Any topic that explores film directing in all its aspects will be fair game.

AWD's mission is to educate, inspire and promote professional women directors. To that end, this blog will showcase -

- interviews with professional filmmakers in all departments

- case studies of singular films, TV series and web content

- challenges and successes as female directors

- tips on navigating the industry, and

- projects currently in production from members.
