There are not much left. H1b quota usually used up within a very short period of time if not a week or so. Now is mid December still have some quota left. Some lawyer estimate that the quota should use up within a week. If you are still in the process of filing the H1B visa, please do not wait. Talk to your boss and let them know what's happening.

First, you can call USCIS Service Center at 1-800-375-5283. Ask for "service request" so you can get response within a week or even better, ask for interim card and get a response.Second, you can schedule infopass appointment at local USCIS office. There are four process center process green card application, California, Texas, Nebraska and Vermont. Often time when I came cross some news published by law firm, they indicate Nebraska center has longer processing time and have more RFE(Require for Evidence). Not sure the reason why.
