Hey Everyone!!

Fatquartershop has some amazing quiltalong lined up and I am so happy I got the opportunity to be a part of the Jolly Bar Jazz quilt along. The pattern is available free here. I used Moda American Jane jollybar Bread n Butter and Kona Cotton Natural (SKU# K001-1242)

I used a cotton batting along minky fabric for backing as I think they make quilt soft and cuddly for kids. The quilt measures approx 45 X60".

My version of 3hr gingham quilt

Hi Everyone,

I have been quiet for some while as my machine had been having issues so I am using my old machine...not anywhere close to my machine.

Anyways, when I saw the 3 hour ginghamquilt my fatquartershop, I decided to give it a try. So here are some pics as I was short on 2 fabrics I did 5" instead of 5" so its a bit small but works for me as I made it for my pets :). Promised my son next will be for him.

The fabric is not gingham print so it shows how same pattern with different print makes it look different..all in all I am happy and it's a super super quick to make. Ok not the best pics but works just to share.

This is completely done and just needs to be finished with backing and binding.

I am still deciding on which one to use for backing and binding.

if you haven't seen it go and have a look. As much as I would love to participate wont be able to manage 2 quilt alongs , home and teaching all at once. New year and new quilt-along great way to start the year, isn"t it ?. At-least for me, I wanted to start on one so I can work and finish some quilts by year end rather then trying to finish gifts all at the last minute.

Fatquartershop has a great quilt-along starting today called Layer Cake Pop. I love the fabric and design of this quilt . The quilt kit is available at fatquartershop and if you wish to use your fabric from stash no issue the pattern is free and it works up quick at-least I finished cutting some blocks. I will be posting the pics by weekend however in the mean time go ahead and check out some great projects of blocks and finished quilts here.

Hey all,

I just wanted to share the project planner eye candy I received after my class wanted to see how it looks and its uses and everyone was drooling..😉. The project planner is every quilter Infact I would say any artist must have as it helps you to organize your projects in a very detailed manner. I am one of those who believe in planning as I teach too...I need to know what fabrics/colors will go well. I do not use paid patterns for classes so I design simple ones myself so this planner is very beneficial for such planning.

I have attached some pictures of the planner and the add-ones available such as cute stickers, the cute bookmarks, assortment of colored pens so it helps in sketching with specific colors in mind and cute set of wash tapes..I just love them. Also, they make great gifts for holidays, I think so.

Also, while you are at FatquarterShop checking out this cool planner and add-ons you may want to check out the jolly jabber book. This book is all about quick projects using jollybars..now something I would like quick projects with less cutting and more time sewing to finish it quick.

Sew Sampler Box review!

Lately, I was asked by few if I had a subscription for a Sew Sampler Box by FatquarterShop and I hadn't. Holiday Wishes Event- week 4

Thank you for stopping by at my blog today for Holiday Wishes Event by Fatquarter Shop.

We are in the last week of Holiday Wishes...wow it's end of July ..less then 5 months for Christmas. I am sure you saw some fabulous projects done by fellow bloggers in last 3 weeks.

This book has so many beautiful projects that it was hard to choose a favorite block.

I decided the snowflake block from Let it snow quilt.. the reason being I love winter and snow.

Here is my block from the "let it snow" quilt. I used basic grunge red and cozy christmas fabric from Lori Holt.

The block I worked from is also displayed on the back cover of the book. I am going to create few more blocks and make a mini version with a snowman in centre.

FQS - Hope Blooms Quilt

Thank you for stopping by again for the Fatquartershop Top 10 video event.

As, I had mentioned yesterday I will be posting the Hope Blooms quit my or rather our version. I taught a beginner to make this quilt. We took 2 days 1st day we went by the video tutorial and pattern and had all our pieces ready to sew next day and then we stitched and assembled the next day. We made quilt using the scraps as it was her 1st time and she was worried she may not be able to do a good job however I think she did a fab job. We just need to do binding etc....overall I am happy with the result and her effort to learn.

Sorr, not a great picture as it was so dull day here today however tomorrow morning I will try to snap some day time picture and post it on Instagram and Fb page.

Here is my finished quit. I made this quilt in less then 2 hrs..I mean seriously. One of the best and easy quilt pattern any beginner quilter can attempt and if you have a video showing you how-to then solves any problem you may encounter.

Hey there,

I am here today to share my 8 1/2" block from new calendar cozy cottage by Lori Holt's.
I cant say this enough but this calender is a must have to hang in your quilt room with those beautiful pictures in it.

I have used all scraps from my bag as I am reshuffling stuff at home and have moved and packed stuff so till I set up everything I had to make do this scraps of fabric from previous quilt I made. Anyways, I am working on a quilt blocks to put my scraps to some use so this is one more block I can add and I love it. I need to make another block with some beautiful fabric I have in mind once my room is re-organized.

I loved this calender with all the beautiful pictures and 3 projects to work on...it's lovely. Unfortunately usps messed up by leaving my calender outside the porch in rain so most of pages messed up.. :(

Woo-hoo!! It's #farmgirlfridays today and I am excited to share my block with you .

I have chosen "Haystack Block" from this book. First I need to tell you something about the book. Now I am sure all who are are part of #sew-along already know it however I must tell you this is an awesome book and the best part is precise instruction and explanation plus pictures to guide you while sewing the block. I love this book..I think one of the best books I have come across in quilting.

So here I present my "Haystack block" from the book. I love the way it has turned out. I am using all the scraps I have in my stash to work on all the blocks from this book.

Every once in a while I invest my money in some beautiful yarn that I use to make gifts or for donation to special charity auction...I really save money to invest in these yarns and hence I think they need a little extra special treatment..having said that doesn't mean I don't love yarns that I buy on sale for $2-3..I do...however the extra money makes these yarn a little more special.
