blue skirt(s)

2012-05-04T13:12:00.000+01:00

A blue skirt is always charming and perfect for summer. You can combine the blue skirt with a striped shirt or just with something simple: anything you would like to. The color suits a lot of people and you can combine it with many many colors. The striped shirt gives the outfit a sailing look, which is indeed perfect for summer! Wear it at the beach, when shopping or just on a lazy sunny day. I wanted to have braids in my hear with these looks, just to give it more like a twist. I hope to see a lot more women/girls wearing blue skirts in spring/summer times!

viva Madrid

2012-04-25T17:41:00.000+01:00

Madrid is very much under-appreciated by many people. Barcelona is still the number one tourist city in Spain. However, I hope that this view will change soon, since I fell in love with this gorgeous city. But the rivalry between the two cities is enormous, you can feel this passion in every citizen. This could be seen with the football-match (soccer game), between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. Madrid won, which made the city explode. People shouted, yelled and partied the whole night long. This passion for football is inside the Spanish people. I have visited Barcelona (and other places in Spain) many times, but I had never been to Madrid, which in the end was a pity. The relaxed atmosphere, the gentil & stylish people and the beautiful sculptures and buildings that the city counts, were stunning! I started loving its people, which were so stylish and wore the most exclusive and trendy fashion. I came across the most beautiful shops and cute restaurants that Madrid has. I really recommend people to visit Madrid and if you are doubting between Barca and Madrid.. Madrid is the place to be, especially for fashionista's!

Golden look

2012-04-16T21:14:00.002+01:00

A famous saying is: 'A mask of gold hides all deformities'. This is true; if you wear gold, it will get all the attention. Today was my golden day! The jacket fits perfectly with the dress. The Netherlands is not really a place which is known for its good weather.. :( So I had to wear a hat & it's quite cute. I also had to wear a legging: the black one was perfectly. This jacket is one of my favorite ones, it's also cool with some colorful pants or blouse. Enjoy your day/evening! <3

White & Pink combination

2012-04-13T14:21:00.002+01:00

When I saw these white pants one week ago, I was totally in love with them. Especially the embroidered flowers in it, make it special. But... how to combine these pants? White would be pretty of course, but white pants and a white shirt is also a bit dull. So I decided to go the opposite direction, and go for pink! The shirt is made of linen, which makes the shirt charming. The bag and the shoes fit perfectly; lovely combination!

A bad hair day; everyone has at least one day per year where your hair is just not the way you want it to be. You can do whatever you want, but it will just not look good at all. And today was my unlucky day. So I decided just not to photograph my hair ;). Today I was wearing: shorts, a vest and a scarf.

orange-red jeans and gloves

2012-04-08T17:59:00.003+01:00

Happy easter everyone!! I'm off this weekend and had a great day. I cycled 21 km (around 12,5 miles) and saw some beautiful new places and small cities in The Netherlands. I wanted to wear my new colorful (orange-red) jeans with easter. I combined the jeans with my Abercrombie and Fitch blouse. Besides the blouse, I wore a sleeveless top over the blouse. In my opinion, this gives the blouse a bit more charm. I painted my nails the same color as my jeans and because of the cold, I wore gloves and my black boots. Enjoy the weekend!

Goosecraft Jacket and Hermes Belt

2012-04-07T22:25:00.002+01:00

One week ago, I discovered the beautiful jackets of Goosecraft. The brand is already very popular in the Southern parts of the USA and is becoming more and more popular in Europe and Asia. You can already buy the jackets in all different kinds of colors, in some countries in Asia and Europe. I liked this jacket so much, that I bought the brown color. The Ivanka Trump shoes (yes, the daughter of..), are one of my favorite pair of shoes at the moment. They fit with almost all outfits and they are so stylish. And the Hermès belt is one of the most classic ones world wide, so always pretty!

Plastic bracelets

2012-04-03T20:51:00.000+01:00

I found these plastic bracelets somewhere in my toilet wall cabinet. I haven't touched them since my childhood. I was around 10 years old when I wore them almost everyday. Today I found out that I have them in a lot of colors. I combined some of the colors and took photo's of the combinations. I think this could get a new hype again, since you can wear them with so many different clothes.

Yellow Fever

2012-04-02T23:48:00.003+01:00

Today was my yellow fever style. I bought new nail polish and I wanted to try it on immediatly. I combined it with my yellow/grey shoes and my Essentiel jacket. This jacket seems very hard to combine with other clothing, but in fact, it is very easy to combine. It could be worn with a lot of clothes. The Essentiel jacket is made of sheep wool and I bought it in Antwerp. When I saw the jacket, I was in love.. The shoes are from the primark, so very cheap, but I like them.

Hair Braids

2012-04-01T22:30:00.004+01:00

I love braided hair and at the moment, I see a lot of girls and women with hair braids. There are lots of them: French hair braids, Braided headbands, Easy fish-tales, side braids etc. I came across some beautiful pictures of hair braids, of which some could be even called; pieces of art. Designers from all over the world use special braided hair styles in their fashion shows. I still have to practice a bit, but I will take some pictures of my braided hair soon!

baggy look

2012-03-31T00:51:00.001+01:00

Today was my baggy day. It was very cloudy, so I felt like my baggy pants. I like my shabbies Amsterdam shoes with these pants. These shoes are also very nice with a colorful jeans, but if you are wearing them with these pants, it makes the whole look a bit shabby. This is exactly why I chose to wear a hat. I don't wear this hat very often, but when I wear it, I very much like it. The watch is of the brand fossil. It is an unisex watch, which makes it tough and perfect for this look. I actually saw two men wearing the same watch today, quite funny.

Orange dress

2012-03-26T23:26:00.002+01:00

I finally recovered from my wisdom teeth extraction operation. After having had a lot of pain, I finally felt better today. So today, it was time for a nice dress. This dress is very popular in lots of the spring/summer 2012 collections. I like the color, since it is a real eye catcher. The light blue clutch and shoes make the look a bit more special. It is an ideal combination for a spring afternoon high tea session!

Caroline Biss jacket

2012-03-22T16:31:00.007+00:00

I'm totally in love with my Caroline Biss jacket. The jacket is filled with shoulder pads, which gives the jacket a bit of a funky style. The earrings with the plumage, together with the DKNY bag, make the look flourish!

Let Vegetarianism grow on you

2012-03-21T17:57:00.004+00:00

Hot in the fashion world is: clothing made of food. It could be any food, that has been used to make al these clothes. last summer, we already saw Lady Gaga in a dress made of meat. This time the emphasis is more on different kinds of fruit or uncooked food. Even the big brands as Louis Vuitton, Moncler and Alexander McQueen believe in this vegetarianism on the body.

As could be seen, the food fashion is not only for women. Men have been frequently seen with food on their body on the catwalk as well.

Recycled Fashion

2012-03-21T17:35:00.003+00:00

Look what I found on the internet :) These dresses are all made of recycled materials. Most people think that fashion made of recycled materials, is boring or not fashionable enough. I want to show you that recycled fashion could be fashionable indeed. If you look at these dresses, you wouldn't say that these dresses are made of used plastic or old papers. Ecological clothes are trendy! And since we are running out of our raw materials in the near future, we have to change to a more sustainable way of living. Remember: Going green is trendy! Be proud to go green!

Officially Spring!

2012-03-20T16:31:00.003+00:00

Finally it's Spring! Couldn't wait any longer. So time for bare legs. Today I chose a very simple black dress from the ZARA. I combined this black dress with a Dior clutch and French Minelli shoes, which I bought in Nice (France). Together with my Pearl- earrings and bracelet, it made the look complete.

On my toenails, I'm wearing my favorite (nail polish) brand: CHANEL.

Almost Spring!

2012-03-20T00:15:00.000+00:00

Today was a very nice one, so I decided to walk along the river. Since my Fred de la Bretoniere heels were already locked up in my closet for almost a year, I wanted to wear them definitely again today. I like them, since they are made of exceptional good quality and they walk as a pair of sneakers.
If you look outside the window and you see the wonderful sun shining on your bright face, you are thinking of spring!

Spring, this is what I was thinking of this morning. And when I'm thinking of spring, I see all different kinds of colorful flowers around me that should smell delightful. This is exactly why I like all these fierce colors that could be found in all stores right now.

In my eyes, you don't have to combine these fierce colors with 'crazy' cloths. I showed that you can combine a fierce color as green, perfectly with a nice light green pants. This combination could be a bit more businesslike or commonly.

The earrings are one of my favorite ones, very colorful but still decent.
