Just duck into the browser's settings (and this should be fairly standard on third-party browsers as well). In the stock Android browser you'll see options to clear the cache (that's images and other content that's been saved to your phone), history (where you've been), form data (what you search for and entered), passwords and location access (where you might have physically been). You might also have options for saving any or all of this info in the first place.

Google's Android Logo Derived From Atari Game

HOW WAS THE ANDROID LOGO DERIVED ?

It would appear that the logo was based upon a character in the 1990 game "Gauntlet: The Third Encounter". The game was never really a huge hit, replaced a year after release (according to Wikipedia) by "Gauntlet III: The Final Quest". Regardless, the character in the original game shows many similarities to the Android logo, not the least of which being the name itself.

Everyone is eager to know how the logo was originated.. so here it is ..

The shape of the Android logo is slightly modified, making it slightly less round, and a black strip was added to separate the head from the body, but the similarities are undeniable. It's not known if Google had some sort of licensing deal, or even if their lawyers determined that the lift was legal due to sufficient modification of the original image. Even more unlikely is the possibility of the whole incident being a strange coincidence. However, if foul play was a factor, Google's going to have a tough time - the little green robot is everywhere that Android is, from news sites to the phones themselves.

It’s hard to say that there is no resemblance between them, considering so many similarities they have, from the antenna, the eye-shaped dots, the size and shape as a whole, even lines that cut off the body of this robot. Even the characters in this game is also called Android.

How to Access/Open Desktop Websites in Android

Here is the Trick that lets you open / Access Any Desktop Website on your Honeycomb 3.0

Follow the Following Instructions Carefully :

ACTIVATE HIDDEN SETTINGS IN BROWSER :

The Android browser is full featured, but there are some hidden settings though There are a number of ways to do that, including this hidden method that works like some 'desktop' browsers.

In the address bar of the Android browser, type "about:debug" as shown in the image. Hit return and a new Debug Menu is activated in the main browser settings for changing a number of preferences and adding 2 more options in the end.

Once the hidden debug menu as been activated as detailed in the above photo, it provides access to a number of settings that can be changed for a variety of reasons. This includes a couple of changes to the way pages render that can affect load times.

Experiment with the settings to decide if you want to change any of them.

TURN THE DEFAULT BROWSER INTO DESKTOP BROWSER :

The Android browser identifies itself to websites as an Android browser, which sometimes results in getting a mobile version of the site instead of the full web page as might be expected.This can be changed on some tablets in the settings if a UA setting is available. Just change it to Desktop to stop getting mobile versions of web pages on that big tablet screen. you can even change it to iPhone and iPad (depends on your tablets option)

NOTE : To get back to the normal mode just type in the address bar "about:debug" just like you activated it.

SPEED UP THE BROWSER :

If you notice a lag when entering text in dialog boxes in the browser, a setting can be changed that helps eliminate the lag.

Once the hidden debug menu has been activated as detailed in a previous Photo, simple deselect the Enable OpenGL Rendering option as displayed. While this doesn't help all web sites render faster, it works for some of them so try it on an as needed basis.

5-LAB FOR ADVANCED CONTROLS :

Once activated in the Labs, the entire screen is dedicated to displaying web pages. To access the wheel, simply swipe in from either the left or right edge of the screen. 6-EASY APP UNINSTALL :

Virtual buttons in the System Bar let users navigate instantly to Back, Home, and Recent Apps. In the Settings app, colorful charts show the total data usage on each network type (mobile or Wi-Fi), as well as amount of data used by each running application. Based on their data plans, users can optionally set warning levels or hard limits on data usage or disable mobile data altogether. Users can also manage the background data used by individual applications as needed.

DESIGNED FOR ACCESSIBILITY :

Most important is a new explore-by-touch mode that lets users navigate without having to see the screen. and the V8 Crankshaft compilation engine for JavaScript. In benchmarks run on a Nexus S device, the Android 4.0 browser showed an improvement of nearly 220% over the Android 2.3 browser in the V8 Benchmark Suite and more than 35% in the SunSpider 9.1 JavaScript Benchmark. When run on a Galaxy Nexus device, the Android 4.0 browser showed improvement of nearly 550% in the V8 benchmark and nearly 70% in the SunSpider benchmark.

IMPROVED E-MAIL :

In Android 4.0, email is easier to send, read, and manage. For composing email, improved auto-completion of recipients helps with finding and adding frequent contacts more quickly. For easier input of frequent text, users can now create quick responses and store them in the app, then enter them from a convenient menu when composing. When replying to a message, users can now toggle the message to Reply All and Forward without changing screens.

For easier browsing across accounts and labels, the app adds an integrated menu of accounts and recent labels. To help users locate and organize IMAP and Exchange email, the Email app now supports nested mail subfolders, each with synchronization rules. Users can also search across folders on the server, for faster results.

For enterprises, the Email app supports EAS v14. It supports EAS certificate authentication, provides ABQ strings for device type and mode, and allows automatic sync to be disabled while roaming. Administrators can also limit attachment size or disable attachments.

For keeping track of incoming email more easily, a resizable Email widget lets users flick through recent email right from the home screen, then jump into the Email app to compose or reply.

Android and iOS are popular among mobile tech enthusiast. Each of it’s developer has recently released the last version of the OS. Google come out with Android 4.0 or code named as Ice Cream Sandwich, while Apple is recently issued an iOS 5 update for all of it’s products. Today, we decided to make a brief comparison between these two platform just to give you a picture about what if you decided to switch between these two OS. What are the pros and the cons. Is there any special benefit that you won’t get from other OS. Now, let’s start the brief explanation.

Whats New in ICS 4.0 ?

Ice Cream Sandwich has a new People app which is just an improved version of Contacts. Improvements include larger profile photos and integration of your contacts’ social networking status updates from services such as Google, Twitter and Facebook. The Gmail app was also revised to make it faster. What I liked about it is that you can view past 30 days’ worth of your email without the need for an internet connection. Other updates include Calendar, Maps, and Music.

An interesting addition to the ICS is a sharing feature named Android beam. Basically, it allows you to share apps, contact, videos and music just by tapping two phones together. This feature will work with any Android ICS device with NFC (Near-Field Communication) chips. Another connectivity addition is Wi-Fi direct, which is essentially the same as Bluetooth only that you will be using Wi-Fi instead.

User interface

Android gets a revamp, iOS gets a polish

Ice Cream Sandwich will come with a revamped interface, which aims to blend the best of existing Android Honeycomb and Gingerbread platforms.

Google has created a new typeface, which it claims is optimised for high-resolution screens. The “Roboto” font might have a comical name, but it looks swish, is easy to read and provides a refreshed look to the Android platform.

Gone are the context-sensitive buttons that have been sitting under the touch screen on previous Android smartphones. These have been replaced by virtual buttons in the System Bar similar to the Honeycomb platform. The onscreen buttons come in the form of Back, Home and Recent Apps.

Multitasking

Ice Cream Sandwich shows the biggest improvements

ICS has just upped the stakes when it comes to smartphone multitasking, edging it ever closer to desktop experience. Depressing the Recent Apps button will bring up a list of thumbnails of apps used, and tapping one of these will take users directly to that app.

Either Android and iOS are packed with decent multitasking ability, you can easily switch between apps and interfaces. iPhone users is only have to double tap the home button to launch a row of application. Each of those app can be opened or closed if you hold on it. On the other side, Android 4.0 also has similar feature in “Recent App” function. This option can be activated by pressing the rectangular shape that located in the top right corner of the home screen.

Notifications

Android was kind enough to let Apple borrow its notification system for the iOS 5. Incoming notifications are displayed at the top of the device screen and you can swipe it down for a full-screen look.

A few enhancements could be noticed on ICS notifications including pulling it down to full even when you are at the lock screen. Recent Apps list was also added which shows you thumbnails of all the apps running on your Android device.

Camera

Both iOS and ICS have improved their camera apps including allowing you to access your camera from the lock screen. The iOS 5 added grid lines to help you line up your shot as well as the needed pinch to zoom function.

The Android ICS has a new panoramic mode that allows you to stitch multiple snapshots together to create a larger scene. The new mode includes a slider at the bottom to help you in aligning the series of photos.

Once you’re done taking photos, both ICS and iOS 5 have pictures improvement tools that allows you to crop and rotate, remove red-eye, and auto-enhance. ICS will also let you set levels and add Instagram-style filters.

Settings

Both Android and iOS offer essential settings menu that allow you to determine how you’d like to use some essential options like WiFi or GPS. In Android 4.0, you’ll get some developers option that is not available in the previous version of the OS. Meanwhile, iOS allow you to set different GPS profile for each app.

Messaging and Email

Android has made some significant improvements in this area. ICS comes with improved error correction and word suggestions. A spell checker underlines mis-spelt words and tapping on these will bring up suggestions.

In terms of email, users can create quick responses and store them in the app, then enter them from a menu when composing. When replying to a message, it is also possible to Reply All and Forward without having to change screen.

Enterprise users will be pleased to hear that the Email app supports Exchange ActiveSync v14. EAS certificate authentication is included and administrators will also be able to limit attachment size or disable them altogether.

A resizable email widget also lets users flick through recent emails right from the home screen, then jump into the email app to reply.

Meanwhile, Apple has introduced a new messaging service that aims to compete with BBM and Google Talk. iMessage allows users to send instant messages between iOS 5 devices via Wi-Fi or 3G. Users are able to send texts, photos, videos, contacts and locations. The app is synced with iCloud, so users can start a conversation on one Apple device and continue it on another, which will be useful for users who have multiple iOS devices.

Basic improvements have been made to email – with users able to format text, flag messages and search the body of text messages. Users can also set up an @me.com email, which is then synced with iCloud.

Verdict

Both operating systems have a vast number of features that make them appealing, but it feels like Android just has the edge when it comes to areas such as notifications, multitasking and web browsing.

Face Unlock and Android Beam are also interesting features, and Google will be hoping that these apps generate interest in the platform.

Apple does, however, have a head start when it comes to voice recognition. Siri has certainly captured the imagination of the public and shows Apple’s ability to take existing technology to the next level.

There is little to separate the platforms in terms of user interface, but Ice Cream Sandwich is a complete overhaul so we expect some bugs when it comes out.

I have been both operating systems and both are quite stable.Though

it may look like apps aren’t closed properly in Android, they are actually don’t consume any resources ..but in iPhone we can close the running apps by Double Tapping the Home Screen button.though in Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 Many Android phones Come with Task manager which kills all Running background Apps.
In Android, If The phone is rooted,then there are many Custom Roms which increase stability .

Conclusion – iOS is best in Stablity but High End Android Devices are more Stable.

iOS Lacks freedom to customize your phone Apple has nicely put a sandbox. everything so there are limited actions that you can do on the phone. This means

In Android, everything feels integrated. For example, after taking a photo with the Camera, I have an option to share. If I have a Twitter or a Facebook installed, the Share menu will contain sharing the photo to Twitter and Facebook. Or when I have a URL to open, Android can identify the installed browsers on my phone and I can select which browser I want to open the URL with (similar to opening a file in Windows). In Android contacts, you can also send a Whatsapp message if you have Whatsapp installed as if it has now become part of the Address Book.

In iOS, it feels like every app can only do their thing and they cannot collaborate to one another somehow. iOS 5 will put Twitter integration to the phone but that’s about it for now.

On the iTunes app store, a developer can set an application to be free for a day (by changing the price of the app). In Android market however, a developer can change a paid app to be free but this is only a one way process! They cannot change a free app to a paid So either they have to create a separate “Lite” app or have to set the lowest price as $0.99.

You Can download Paid apps and Games for free on Android by some tricks, but on iOS you need to Jailbreak your iphone to install paid apps for free

Just setup the auto sync for your Gallery and all your pictures will be in safe hands forever and you won't loose your memories in any case.

To Setup your device to automatically sync with Picasa

1. Go to Settings->Accounts and Sync

2. Select the Google Account with which you want to sync your photos in Picasa

3. Click on "Sync Picasa Web Albums" to sync the Photos once. Or check the checkbox against it to sync it automatically.

We would recommend you to sync it manually whenever it is needed. Especially when you are on wi-fi. Setting up automatic sync may consume lot of data in your data plan and you may be charged heavily. It may also consume lot of your battery.

many people have problems with their android devices,so we thought we could share an app with you .

1. Power Control Widget will do half of your work. Click here Download Power Control Widget.

2. Turn off your wi-fi, bluetooth, GPS when not required.

3. Keep brightness of the screen to low when you are indoor. Again, Power control Widget will help you with that.

4. Turn Off the 3G data usage on your device if you are not using it frequently.

5. If you have too much of trouble with battery, I would suggest but would not recommend to turn off your Auto Sync with Photos and Mails. It will defeat the purpose of having Android to some extent.

6. Keep a watch on your battery usage. It gives you the details about your battery usage. To check the battery usage on your Android Device

- Go to Settings->About (Phone/Device)

- Click on Battery Use.

It gives the battery usage since you last unplugged it.

For Android 1.6+ If your battery isn't lasting as long as you think it should (does it really ever?), there could be a rogue process or application sucking down more juice than it should. And keeping an eye on what's hitting the battery is pretty simple.

Just go to Settings>about phone>Battery use and you'll get an easy-to-read chart showing what's been going on since your phone was last plugged in. Chances are the display (as in the phone's screen) will be near the top of the list, so turning down the brightness might be one of the first things you try.you can even close the running applications by going to Settings>applications>Running Applications -- then close the running apps
