I've recently seen a movie, that completely moved me and honestly I watch a lot of movies, so many that I actually started to be very picky and serious about them!
But this movie happened exactly after my Valentine's day with my boyfriend and it made me happy, a weird happy that I can't really describe !
And sometimes I just need to be weirdly happy, though being happy is completely "absurd" and "ridiculous" if you ask me.
Like, when you eat chocolate or burgers or when you drink champagne, kiss someone or put on your favorite dress and perfect shoes... Or when you play with glitter and listen to stories and have fun! Does it make any sense? Any sense at all? I know one who does and trust me is the best antidote of all!
Love can be happy as long as is not selfish, but kind!

After searching for the ideal warm coat, Topshop saved my life by introducing this fabulous faux fur to me!
Not only is super warm, but also the ideal companion to survive in such cold days. I've been looking everywhere, but unless it was a real fur I couldn't find anything similar, so checking the Topshop e-shop was the best idea ever. Unless it will get super warm these next days, you will see my "friend" again:)

Dear readers,

Guess you are all excited to see fabulous looks from New York fashion week. I sure am really curious to see the collections and wonderful street style from the streets of NY city.
The Coveteur of this month is quite short, but I will show you some other cool stuff really soon.
For the moment I just focused on fashion magazines, which are surprisingly good this month:) And of course I couldn't hide my obsession for neon colors!
I already started to prepare some of my fashion week looks, the only problem is this terrible cold. Some really warm coats will hopefully be enough♥

Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture S/S 2012

The last Haute Couture show, but the most spectacular one I have attended yet, was at Jean Paul Gaultier! Very emotional moments, a unique tribute to Amy Winehouse and the spectacular sounds of a memorable "rehab"!
Karlie Kloss walked like she was living her last runway, totally fierce if you ask me♥

I found some of the pieces absolutely exquisite: colorful, arty and symbolic for what Jean Paul Gaultier means by excellence!
The fabulous eccentric wigs, the Amy eyeliner make up, the incredibly sexy suits, the geometrical wedge shoes, the lace details, the reinvention of a polo t-shirt, the corsets, the sequins, the tuxedo vs. the baseball jacket, the gorgeous statement jewelry, the pajamas inspired coats, the embellished bras, the python details, the flower hairstyling and so on...

Did the gold skirt helped me forget about the sick cold? Uhmm, who am I kidding? Of course it was way too cold, thank God I had my favorite coat on, so that the faux fur details and velvet kept me warm and safe:)

Honestly I've been drinking way too many hot drinks this week and I need to stop consoling myself with all those delicious cakes from the best bakery ever, which is "sadly" situated just at few steps from where I am living!

Seriously what there is left to do when is so cold that not even wearing two jumpers and a fluffy fur coat will do the trick?

I am literary hibernating like a bear and I will be making some soup tonight, while watching "How I met your mother":))

I've recently been invited to discover the latest jewelry treasures signed by the prestigious Maison Dior and to take a look at their new book.
Dior Joaillerie will be launched on February 29th and if you are a fan of Dior and curious about their legendary jewelry collections, this is the piece you have to have on your library shelves.
Some of the texts are written by the creative director Victoire de Castellane herself and they give a lot of useful information about the process of creating jewelry pieces.
A dreamy world of mesmerizing stones of all colors, rainbow diamonds that shine in the brightest colors and timeless unforgeable pieces.

Julien Fournié Haute Couture S/S 2012

The Julien Fournié show was unexpected, in a good way! I was familiar with some of his collections, but he definitely did an amazing job with his last Haute Couture show! It was a "storm" of innovative fabrics and shapes!

I particularly loved his "mermaid meets technology" dresses and of course the finale one, when the bride showed up all wet in this long plastic dress with flowers in her hair! I thought that was a really cool idea considering the whole concept!

A lot of pastel colors, sheer fabrics, geometric shapes, interesting hi-tech/ return to nature meanings:)

Stéphane Rolland Haute Couture S/S 2012

One of the most beautiful collections I've seen lately! Structured silhouettes, glamorous details and probably the place that gathered around the most gorgeous goddesses of all.
Not to mention the finale dress, worn by the the British/Iranian supermodel Yasmin Le Bon, who was incredibly charming and daring in the same time to agree to embellish her body in 50 fabulous kilograms of fabric. After all it was a heavy divine dress♥
To conclude, although photos are speaking for themselves, the 10th Stephane Rolland Haute Couture show was spectacular!
One more thing, I would love to afford one of those lime green dresses with those perfect stilettos!
Not forbidden to dream, right?

I always liked green, probably my favorite color and since it is a big trend for this season I couldn't be happier!
There is something about this color that is completely fascinating, even when I worked on this moodboard it somehow managed to relax me and make me smile.
One more thing, the walls of my living room are painted in this exact color, emerald green:)

The easiest way to convince yourself that you have to move on to something else than two lazy days in bed is to wear some pink and vintage, both in the coldest day of the year!
So, after drinking two liters of Kusmi tea, eating delicious cakes and reading a full pile of fashion magazines I decided to move my lazy "you know what" and take a walk in my lovely neighborhood!
All good, less for the outfit I choose to wear, which was obviously way to summery and pinkish for such a cold January afternoon.
But, somehow it warm me up and made me crave even more for hot summer days.
Well, the fact is I've been quite exhausted and needed urgently to hibernate for few days, as a matter of fact while I am writing right now, I still need some long hours of sleep!
My health has been turning her back on me these last days, so I need to recover fast!

Qasimi Menswear Fall/Winter 2012

Last Menswear show I attended to was Qasimi! Beautiful collection, I enjoyed seeing all those floating skirts and those vivid red/coral shades. Also the sheer tartan shirts with big furry coats were quite a delight to the eyes. Some wearable statement pieces as well as some less wearable ones, just to please the eye! Overall a good way to show that men also have the right to look amazing!

Back at the Rynshu show, all the guests got a book and a very cute mascot as you can see in the photo above!

Rynshu is celebrating their 20th anniversary, so they will launch a movie based on the "Black Legend" roman. Can't wait to read it in order to have a more constructive idea about their brand concept and the ideas behind.

About my outfit, well as you can see there is a lot blue going on and to be honest I don't really mind! I am very into the whole idea of blue jeans at the moment:)

Rynshu Menswear Fall/Winter 2012

The Rynshu show was pretty amazing, from the perfect location, the little gifts they offer their guests (which I will show you later) and of course the garments that were impressive.

Punk, cool and versatile it was a very good collection and I am definitely very curious for what will the designer propose for its future collections!

I particularly like the shinny pieces and the embellished pieces that screamed for show off!

Songzio Menswear Fall/Winter 2012

Songzio fascinated me this season, especially because of their absolutely stunning coats and elegant silhouettes! Even the velvet babies flats were divine, I mean who would have thought to put that kind of shoes on something so elegant? A very melancholic show, considering the tones of purple and grey and another thing the music! One way or another, I felt really attached to this collection and my final words would be: well done, can't wait to see another collection of this brand!

BILLTORNADE Menswear Fall/Winter 2012

The BILLTORNADE show started with a sort of electric blue almost purple mood!
I liked the smart casualty of this collection, very wearable indeed, including a lot of versatile pieces that every man could easily match!
I also liked the shoes, very nice leather and style. I also have to mention that I've seen some pretty cool suits that could do the trick for both day and night!
This collection was young, but very cool for men who are always on the run, but who still want to look their best, feel comfortable in a urban chic way!

Walter Van Beirendonck Menswear Fall/Winter 2012

Saturday I had an invitation at one show only, but what a show! Walter Van Beirendonck's latest collection, "Lust never sleeps" was a parody of voodoo masks and warriors. There are a lot of meanings behind the collection and maybe I am not the most suitable person to write about it, since I just started looking at his past collections and work so far and there is quite a controversy behind.
All I can say is that I absolutely loved this collection, visually speaking was a complete delight, of course the profoundly disturbing meanings are part of the whole contrasting image. There wouldn't be enough beauty without a little bit of controversial meaning to spice it up a little.
The vivid colors were screaming for comic strip again, only this time one that I would like to fantasize my eyes with every single day!

John Galliano Menswear F/W 2012

John Galliano, or better say Bill Gaytten! 30's reinvented looks for cool gangsters dressed in shinny leather trenchs, belted coats, fur details, sequins, velvet, fedoras and pinstriped suits! The perfect ambiance to almost step out in a comic book for heroically gangsters.
I personally loved the khaki touch of color as well as the magnificent cobalt blue velvet which appeared only once, but still with a huge impact!

Julius Menswear F/W 2012

I think I always had something for the men clothing and even though I am quite feminine, I feel a strange pleasure while looking at men clothes:) Don't get me wrong, but I like the cuts, the rough shapes, everything that's androgynous and mysterious.

The designer behind the Japanese brand, Julius, Tatsuro Horikawa had a strong impact on me with his latest collection! A weird, but very mysterious vibe of fog and some ghostly men coming one after another dressed in dark colors, while a DJ was mixing this "resonance" music! Big love for the coats, they looked incredible!

Jean Paul Gaultier Men Fall 2012

Men fashion week started in all its glory with a first Jean Paul Gaultier show!

Leave your hat on man...almost every model was wearing something on their heads, which gave them a quite 40's nostalgic gentleman's allure.

A lot of layering going on, dandy chic fur collar coats, tattooed prints, elegant turtlenecks, brick arty prints, sporty hooded jackets, stripes, leather sleeves, symbolic for the brand, kulats and very long skirts, some electric orange, yellow and green.

In the end the music of Charlie Winston resonated the room in hobo style and everyone, including Jean Paul Gaultier himself projected their hats in the crowd.

"Nothing's gonna stop him"!
