Has anyone else gotten sucked into Pinterest? I see so many DIY décor ideas for my home and crafts that my kids would love I could get lost for hours. We’ve asked our friend Tori Vest, self-professed Pinterest-lover, to help us out. She’s a super savvy crafting girl, we think she did a fabulous job on this DIY project!

This is a fun craft that I found on craftster.org that I thought would be perfect for Valentines Day! This craft has proven to be a
bit time consuming, but it’s so worth it!

All you need is:

• A deck of cards, (don’t feel like you need to go out and buy a brand new set of cards. In fact, I found that old and bent up cards look even better than the new ones)
• glue
• paper
• pen
• scissors.

The idea of this craft is to come up with 52 things you love about your spouse/significant other.

They can be anything from…

    “you love me unconditionally” to…

        “you don’t mind having pot roast every Wednesday night”.

Seriously. Anything you love about your spouse/significant other, just write it on a piece of paper, cut it out, and then glue it to a card! Then stack them up, tie them with raffia (or ribbon… really anything that you have on hand is fine), and then give them to your special someone.

This is not only a fun craft to do, but it’s also a good reminder of how blessed

we are by special people in our lives!

Autism is a topic that many people don’t fully understand.  While I myself do not have an autistic child, I have a few autistic children that are close to my heart (through friends at church and other groups) – and I can tell you that raising awareness and educating people about autism can bring hope to those dealing with it every day.

For the rest of us, being aware and educated can result in us reaching out, understanding, and being more supportive of the community of families touched by autism.   I wager that we have people in our own Time2Save community who have an autistic child – given the statistc that 1 in 110 children have an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) – with our Facebook Community alone at 22, 640, it’s highly likely!

If you haven’t checked out AutistmUnited, I encourage you to do so.  They are striving to bring together the families struggling with this disorder – as well as celebrating the beuatiful, beloved children who are the face of Autism.
