Heat Wave in Virginia

2012-07-07T03:08:00.002-04:00

Hi folks,
Like a lot of the country, we are hot hot hot!!!!
Please stay hydrated as much as possible and don't forget the pets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't how it is for anyone else but ice is not in abundant supply so if there is a cooling center you can get to
Don't hesitate!!!!!!!!!!!
Most important: check on others,.their life might depend on it and it is better to share some time with others
if you can.. Be safe

And Thank you to all those that are working around the clock to help get power restored and downed trees out of the way..

NOAA Space weather link http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/

SOLARHAM.COM link is posted in the last post

Keep in mind that your phones, Ipods, tvs or other useful electronics, (I put this lightly may not work or act like they have they have no juice to go.. This is from the magnetic part of the storm..

I myself am going to play cards if this happens or brush up on some little items I have been putting off.

In no way am I not taking this seriously but as with other storms I have ample supplies but am not going to go overboard on the jitters...Keep in mind that this kind of storm is not something we are used to and will try to learn as much from this as possible, as should all of you!

If my computer goes down (Hope it doesn't) I will try to let you know what it is like in my state...

Leave a comment on how you are and what is happening in your area...let's get through this together!!!!!!!!!!!

Lenten Prayer

2012-02-22T01:42:00.002-05:00

On Ash Wednesday, we begin Lent. The sacramental ashes, made from burned palms from the prior year's Palm Sunday, are blessed and remind us that "You are dust and unto dust you shall return". Ashes are a symbol of penance made sacramental by the blessing of the Church, and they help us develop a spirit of humility and sacrifice.

May all of us look into ourselves and find the beauty that is unique to each of us and work to make someone else's life filled with hope and giving.. I pray that those who are in need can rest their burdens and hope will fill them to a brighter tomorrow..
Amen

The FDA's Amish Sting

The FDA's Amish Sting
CLICK ABOVE TO GO TO LINK

It is an outrage that the FDA has gone into the business of going into Amish communities.. These people pay taxes and ask for no one's help -Honest hardworking and kind... Their farms are immaculate and could teach the FDA a thing or two- How many acid baths does pasteurized milk get??? How many people have stomach issues when drinking FDA standard milk,... Don't believe me? Look up milk pasteurization or ask any dairy what happens if they drink the milk from their cows if the guidelines aren't followed.... If they get caught they are looking at severe consequences--Wake up People!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN .. SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW AND LET THEM KNOW WE ARE THE people!!!!!!!!!!!
