Will the Law work for you then? The answer is Absolutely! -- as long as you are vibrating in the right place mentally while you are doing it.

You see, I know this for a fact because I have been both studying the Law of Attraction for 20 years as well as enjoyed gambling for approximately the same amount of time; and I can tell you without a doubt that as my studying and learning has progressed, so has my winnings and jackpots!

While this article will mostly be focused on winning at Video Poker games in casinos (because it is personally my favorite to play and I know the most about it) I am sure you will find a lot of tips here that can help you win at other games as well.

Here are a few simple tips to help you get into vibrational alignment with winning as well.

1. Don’t gamble with money you cannot afford to lose.

Now, this may sound like typical “moral” advice that anyone would tell you, but from a Law of Attraction standpoint it is especially important. The fact of the matter is, if you are playing with rent or bill money then you are playing with scared or guilt money! Playing with scared money will put you in a negative vibrational place right from the start and will make it much more difficult to draw more money to you.

If money is a little tight right now - start a JACKPOT JAR in your home. (Be sure to write Jackpot Jar on it by the way. This way every time you look at it you are giving yourself a positive affirmation. Eventually you will come to believe that that is exactly what it is. ) Put some money in it every week. It doesn’t matter if it is $2, $5 or $10. Just put a little aside until you have accumulated the amount you would like to bring to the casino with you. Maybe you can cash in the penny or change jar you have sitting in the corner of your bedroom that is doing nothing.

The point is to go on your trip with “guilt-free” or “fear free” money. You will automatically be in a better vibrational place knowing that it really doesn’t matter if you win or lose it, as long as you have fun!

2. Visualize Winning Before You Go

My father was one of the luckiest Video Poker players I have ever met. When he hit, it was usually for some pretty big amounts. I remember a $13,000 jackpot, a few $8,000 jackpots and too many $4,000 and $1,000 jackpots to count.

Now the funny thing is my father didn’t technically believe in the Law of Attraction per se, but a favorite hobby of his was to daydream (or visualize) about his next trip to Atlantic City and how he was going to win. He would say things like “First I am going to go to the quarter machine and hit $1,000 there, then I am going to take that money and go play the dollar machine and hit $4,000 there and then I am going to sit for an hour or two winning smaller amounts until I hit the big one.” (Is it any wonder I am a fan of Video Poker when I see someone win at it so easily?)

Now again, he didn’t do these visualizations as a “technique” to help him win, he just did it because it was fun for him think about. Regardless of the reason why he was doing it - I can tell you it absolutely worked!

It got to the point where if he won less than 3 jackpots in a weekend, it was considered a “slow” weekend.
Eventually he got so good at winning - the thought of losing didn’t even enter his mind. And Law of Attraction being what it is (what you think and believe is what you get) he hardly ever did lose.

So start visualizing winning before you even go. Start small if a “huge jackpot” seems too unbelievable to you. Say O.K. first, I’ll win $100 here, then win $300 there. Imagine the perfect hands that will be dealt to you. Feel the excitement you would feel as if you had really won. Envision yourself counting a huge wad of bills on your trip home and how good it feels. Do this as often as possible before your trip so you are already on a great vibrational level before you even arrive at the casino.

3. Practice at Home

If you are reading this, chances are you have access to the internet. The internet has tons of free sites where you can practice “winning.”

Find your favorite game free online and practice how winning feels. (Don’t pay attention to any losing hands in your free play) just focus on how “easy” it is to win. Feel as if you are playing with real money. Feel the excitement, feel your confidence grow as you get one winning hand after another.

Now that you are fully prepared for your trip, here are more tips for when you get there:

4. Watch Your Words

While negative thoughts can keep you from winning, those thoughts spoken aloud can be ten times more powerful. Be careful not to fall into typical “casino talk” that is so common for players. For instance:

How much are you down?
How much money do you have left?
Nobody seems to be hitting today (or the opposite).
Everybody seems to be hitting today except me.
I’m never lucky in this place.
I can’t get any play.
I can’t seem to do anything
I hate this place
This place Sucks!

Remember, Universe is following your lead. When you utter these kinds of thoughts and feelings, universe responds as always by bringing more of it to you.

Try more positive statements such as:

My winning machine is calling to me right now, I just have to listen.
My jackpot is waiting for me here somewhere and I am going to find it.
The right machine is going to jump right out at me.
I love coming here, I always have such a good time!

5. Truly Enjoy The Game While You Are Playing

Stop focusing on the credits that are going in and out or the amount of chips left on the table and bring your focus back to the enjoyment of the game itself.

There have been many times, especially in Video Poker where I have gone into “auto-mode”. I have been playing the game for so many years, that not much thought is needed to automatically hold certain cards that are dealt in a hand. Unfortunately this leaves my attention open to focus on the amount of credits in the machine instead, and if the amount is going down, my vibration goes with it.

I have since learned to refocus on the fun of the game itself. I now slow down my auto response. I sometimes pretend to be a novice to the game. I get myself deliberately excited over something as little as a pair of 2’s that are dealt to me, wondering how cool it would be to draw another one --possibly even two more of them! Yeah! I no longer wait for only the “big” hands to get me excited. I purposely enjoy the game. The more I enjoy, the more I am vibrating positively. The more I am vibrating positively, the more good hands I bring to myself that give me something to be genuinely happy about.

So slow it down. Remember why you are there. To have fun. If you are focused on having fun, the money will come naturally.

6. Switch Up Your Game

Did you ever wonder why “beginners luck” occurs so often? I firmly believe it is because a person who doesn’t know how a game is played, can’t have any negative thoughts or resistance associated with it.

An experienced video poker player may know that 9 out of 10 times that 5th card for the Royal Flush will not come up, but a novice has no idea. So where an experienced player might not believe it is going to happen because it is usually difficult, a novice has no such mental resistance.

If you feel you are not having any luck at your usual game of choice, go play a game you have no clue about. I can’t tell you how many times I have won money and didn’t even know what I hit or did to get it. What fun! Then I take the winnings from that and go back to my usual game with a whole new winning vibration.

7. Go on a Good Luck Charm Treasure Hunt

So, do good luck charms really work? We are talking about Law of Attraction here, so obviously they will work if you believe they will.

Does it have to be a certain charm? Not at all. My mother and I have been going to Atlantic City together for years. One of our favorite things to do when things are going slow is go on a Good Luck Charm Treasure hunt.

When someone wins a machine jackpot, the casinos place little white cards in the coin slot that says “Congratulations! You are a winner!, as the person is getting paid. Quite often people leave these lying around and I love to find them and use them as my good luck charm because they already have winning associated with them. If however, after 4 or 5 hands they haven’t brought any luck, we look for other things.

Sometimes it can just be a swizzle stick lying around. I will pick it up and hold it out as if it is the Holy Grail and claim “This is it! This is the one!” and gently place it on my machine. We’ve had more fun coming up with the strangest of charms to use and experiment with.

One time we drew a little Kilroy figure on a piece of paper. (You know the guy with the big nose and hands looking over the wall?). We put him on the top of our machine and had all sorts of fun with him. We would rub his little bald head before hitting the play button. My mom would turn him over and make him face the wall if he didn’t give us the second hand we wanted. We ended up having such a good time and so many laughs, that we ended up doing very well that day.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it was “Kilroy” who made us win, but we were having so much fun playing with him, our mood and vibration so light and happy, that Universe had no choice but to respond in kind and matched our vibration with lots of winning hands and money. Remember it is all about the vibration you are sending out. Abundant good feelings brings more abundance in other ways.

8. If You Can’t Change Your Negative Vibe - Walk Away For Awhile

Sometimes no matter what you do, you can’t shake a losing attitude. If you find this happening to you it is time for a little mental distraction. You know the saying “No sense in throwing away good money after bad”

If you are operating from a negative place, it will only bring more negative (i.e. more losing). So it is time to walk away for awhile and change your mood in other ways. If you are lucky enough to have a hotel room go there for awhile. Rent a $10.00 comedy on the television (believe me you would lose a lot more than that if you kept playing negatively for 2 hours on the casino floor) and lighten your mood.

Maybe go window shopping in the Casino mall, listen to the live band playing in the lounge, go for a walk on the boardwalk or the strip. Go get yourself a great snack or meal you would normally not eat at home. Up your vibration, feel better and then go back and play. Again, it is all about vibration.

9. Put Your Emotion Into Your Winning Hands - Not Your Losing Ones

Let’s say you have 4 cards to a winning hand dealt to you and you do not pull the last card that you need. What is your immediate first response? Do you feel hopeful that at last the cards are starting to line up for you and a winning hand is on its way soon or do you feel disappointment or anger that you “missed” it and find yourself fuming for the next 20 minutes.

Again, your vibrational reaction makes all the difference. If you focus only on the hands you didn’t win guess what you will get? More non-winning hands. If you put your emotion into the excitement of the winning hands, no matter how small, guess what you will get? More winning hands.

Learn to change your focus and put more of your happy emotion into the winning hands only. This leads us to the last and most important tip to winning more with the Law of Attraction.

10. Gratefulness

Personally I have found that nothing helps me win more than constant gratefulness while I am playing. If I win even as little as 5 coins I will say “Thank you Universe and more of that please!“ Like I mentioned above, I purposely get myself more excited about the wins and have learned to feel little or no emotion at the losses. I also make a concentrated effort to appreciate every thing around me. I am grateful for the air conditioned casino in the summertime. The fun sounds and lights I am surrounded by. The free drinks. The shouts of people winning at the craps table across the casino ( I love hearing the excited sounds of others winning! It boosts my spirits and makes me want to win even more, so I can share in the excitement.) I enjoy the company of the people I go down to the casino with, the food in all the restaurants, the clean hotel room.

Remember the reason you went was to have fun. Make that your priority and Universe will respond in kind and make sure it is fun for you.

Happy Creating!

Law of Attraction Relationships - Have You Made Room For It?

It was a Friday night, almost a year ago, when my best friend and I were sitting on the living room floor in her apartment sharing a pizza and a couple of cold beers. As was customary, the conversation ended up where it did so many times at our little “get togethers”. Where was “he” and when was “he” going to show up in her life? The man of her dreams, her future husband.

She had been single for almost two years and we’re not talking a little dry spell here, we’re talking draught! She hadn’t even been asked out on a single date in all that time

When I first started suggesting exercises to her that she could use to attract the man she wanted she had laughed me off. (She always thought me a little strange, but I love her to death.) Finally after about 8 months of absolutely no prospects she was willing to try anything!

We started with the basics. I told her to write down all the things that she was wanting in a new boyfriend. I had her mentally picture being with this wonderful person and laughing with him, confiding in him, trusting him and having fun with him, even though she didn’t have anyone particular in mind yet.

But surprisingly (especially to me) nothing had come of it yet. It was something that had really been bugging me because I could not figure out why it wasn’t working. She was an attractive girl, intelligent, had a good job, and was a lot of fun to be with. She had been doing the practices on a daily basis (so she says) and still nothing. I just couldn’t figure it out -- until that “fateful” Friday evening.

You see the reason we were having our little indoor picnic on her living room floor was because there wasn’t anyplace else in her apartment to sit. Everything was covered with shopping bags, clothes, magazines, bills, you name it, it was all over the place. (As great as my friend is, neatness is definitely not one of her strong points.)

So when we got to that usual point in the conversation where she asked yet again “Why can’t I just meet him already?! I looked at the chaos around us and jokingly replied “Even if you did, where would you put him?” We both laughed at that for a minute, but I suddenly realized that maybe there was something to that after all.

As much as she always said she was prepared for him to show up – was she really? Where would she put him? Did she even have room for him? Not just in her apartment – but how about her life?

So then I asked her seriously. “Let’s say he did appear tomorrow, would you be ready for him? What if he wanted to stay here?”

Her response pretty much told me everything. “Are you kidding? Look around you! I wouldn’t let anybody see this place looking like this except you!”

So then I asked “So what would you have to do to be comfortable with him here?”

And the list began. “Well first I would have to obviously clean this place up. I wouldn’t want him to think I am a total slob or worse some high maintenance shopaholic. I would have to paint the walls, buy new sheets for the bed unless he’s a fan of Hello Kitty. Let’s see… new underwear, new nightgown, new robe, I would definitely lose ten pounds because I couldn’t walk around naked looking like this…”

The list went on and on. I could barely keep up with her as I grabbed a pen and paper to get it all down. We even decided she would have to make room for him in one of her closets, at least leave him one empty clean drawer in both the bedroom and the bathroom for his things. By the time we were done my hand was cramped from writing so much.

I had suddenly realized that while all of this time she had been saying she was ready for someone to come into her life, the truth was subconsciously she had this incredible list of all the reasons why she wasn’t ready or prepared for him to show up. So we decided that the obvious solution was to get her physically as well as mentally prepared for this person to become a reality.

I was glad this conversation took place on a Friday night, because we worked like demons that entire weekend. We found ourselves giggling as we made her place “mate-ready.” She even bought “him” a new toothbrush to keep in the bathroom. She actually went as far as considering ordering the sports channel on cable for him – but I talked her out of that one. First, because we didn’t even know if he would be a big sports fan, but more importantly, if he was, we didn’t want to give him a reason to sit around and watch it all day long.

By the time Sunday night rolled around we were both exhausted but feeling a lot better. Her place never looked better, (I finally got to eat at the table for the first time) and she suddenly did feel that if the man of her dreams showed up tomorrow she would be absolutely prepared for him.

For me it was an eye opening experience because I realized how rarely we pay attention to the little things. We don’t notice that we might be saying one thing, but in reality are acting in a completely different manner.

So the question to you is this: Do you have any of these little unconscious things preventing you from receiving what you want? Have you made plans or room for what you desire in your life?

If you want a new house, have you started throwing away the stuff in the old place preparing for the move? If it’s a new wardrobe, have you cleaned out your closet to make room for your new items? If it’s a relationship, have you starting acting the way you would want your new love to see you? If it’s money, have you sat down and decided how you were going to smartly invest the millions coming your way? What charities you will donate to? Have you made an itinerary on your computer of the trips you plan on taking?

Whatever it is that you are wanting, have you taken the physical actions that you would be taking if you already had it?

The Law of Attraction works when you get on the same vibrational level as the thing that you are wanting. So while you should absolutely think great positive thoughts as often as possible, definitely say affirmations to get it into your subconscious, positively be grateful for all you currently have…you should also take some physical action to show Universe that you are so sure it is on its way to you, that you are already physically preparing for it.

Oh, and by the way, in case you wanted to know what happened with my girlfriend. She met “him” about a month and a half later. She probably would have met him sooner but that’s how long it took for her to lose those pesky 10 pounds. (Our Friday night beer and pizza nights probably didn’t help.) They are now happily engaged and he has moved in. Why? Because now he has some room to!

So do not only tell Universe that you are ready for what you are wanting, show it and act as if it is already here! Now that’s what getting in alignment is all about.

Happy Creating!

Ho'Oponopono Healing Technique

What is Ho’Oponopono?

So I am cruising the net early this morning looking for a new “a-ha moment” as I so often do every day (isn‘t the internet great?!) when I come across this article written by Joe Vitale in 2006.

It surprises me that I haven’t come across it before because Joe is a favorite of mine and I thought I was pretty up-to-date on most of what he has written about.

To miss this article from 2 years ago surprised me, but then again “When the student is ready, the teacher appears” so I guess for whatever the reason, Universe saved this for me until now.

The article is about Ho’oponopono. Ho'oponopono is a ancient Hawaiian healing process. It’s literal translation is “making right.” It is based on the principles of total responsibility. In other words, taking responsibility for every person's actions who appears in your life.

I have written other articles myself about how every person and situation that appears in our life is for a reason. If we create our entire reality around us, then we create the people who are in it as well as the back drops where our experiences take place. But I never thought about it to the level of what Ho’oponopono entails.

Joe tells the story of how he heard about a therapist in Hawaii who had cured a complete ward of criminally insane patients--without ever seeing any of them.

The psychologist would study an inmate's chart and then look within himself to see how he created that person's illness. As he improved himself, the patient improved.

Curious for more information Joe called him and they talked for more than an hour as the doctor explained to him how many mental patients had been cured by using this method.

So naturally Joe’s next question was “What was the doctor doing exactly when he was looking at each patients file?

The doctor replied that he kept saying “I‘m sorry and I love you over and over again.”

“That’s it?” Joe asked

“That’s it.” the doctor replied.

The doctor’s reasoning was "If you want to improve your life, you have to heal your life. If you want to cure anyone, even a mentally ill criminal you do it by healing you.”

The philosophy behind all of this is that loving yourself is the greatest way to improve yourself, and as you improve yourself, you improve your world.

Joe then tells a story about how he used this new information for himself. He had gotten an email from someone that had upset him. Instead of responding angrily or fighting against it he used the doctor’s model of saying “I’m sorry and I love you” over and over again.

He says he didn’t say it to anyone in particular but “ was simply evoking the spirit of love to heal within me what was creating the outer circumstance.”

Sure enough, within an hour he received an email from that same person who apologized for the previous email.

Joe said he hadn‘t taken any kind of outward action. He didn‘t email the guy or respond in any way. But by saying I love you, “I somehow healed within me what was creating him“.

While this may seem a little farfetched at first read, it really isn’t all that surprising from whatever point of view you look at it.

If we indeed all share the same energy (which we do) it is not at all improbable that we have the ability to affect others. And if we are all one (which we are) it is not too “out there” to realize that all healing must take place inside ourselves. As we heal the “injured” part of us that brought around the negative circumstance, it stands to reason the negative circumstances around us has to change as a natural outcome.

If you would like to read Joe Vitale’s original article where most of this information came from you can find it here.

As for me, I am going to do further research on the subject. I just know there is a Manifestation Exericise in here somewhere!

Until tomorrow,
Happy Creating!

Fun Manifesting Experiment # 1 - Playing With Time

I have not had to use an alarm clock in over ten years. It is something that I have gotten quite used to over time, but it struck me this morning as I decided to give myself an extra hours sleep, how I just naturally take that for granted.

I normally wake up at about 4:30 in the morning quite naturally. While some people might shudder at that, I have come to love it. To me, there is nothing more peaceful than enjoying the silence of the early morning before the rest of the world (or at least my neighborhood) comes alive. Besides I am definitely a “morning person” and find I get more done in the first morning hours than most people do by their afternoon.

I was more tired than usual due to work I did around the house this weekend, so when 4:30 rolled around I decided I wanted an extra hour of sleep. I simply told my higher self to re-wake me at 5:30 and went back under the covers.

Sure enough, at 5:28 I woke up feeling more refreshed than before and said “Thank you“ to Universe as naturally as I would have said it to any person that woke me up at a time I requested.

As I was making my coffee however, I started laughing to myself how strange that would probably seem to other people who have never played with Universe in this way.

What comes to me so naturally now would probably be considered a minor miracle by others. I think back now and remember the little thrill chills I used to feel when Universe started answering my requests so easily, before I learned I could trust it so completely.

My husband has even gotten use to this little “wake up call” I request of Universe. No matter where we are or how late we have gone to bed the night before, I simply ask him what time he wants to wake up and he responds as naturally as if I was about to set the alarm clock by our bed.

So if you want to have a little fun try this experiment. Set your alarm clock as you normally do for the next two weeks, but ask Universe before you go to sleep to wake you 5 or ten minutes earlier.

Simply put your request in and say “O.K. Universe (or Higher Self if you prefer), tomorrow I would like you to wake me up at 5:20 in the morning. Thank you.”

Act as if you were asking a reliable friend or spouse of even giving your request to a wake up service. Believe without a doubt or worry that your wake up call will come through and watch what happens.

If it doesn’t work the first day or two, keep asking and believing. The trick is to not talk yourself out of it.

Don’t say things to yourself like “It will never work, because I am such a heavy sleeper” or “if an alarm clock could barely wake me how is Universe going to do it?” Say it and feel it as if it is a foregone conclusion.

You will be as amazed as I originally was. Then you will probably end up taking it for granted like I do now, which is a good thing.

Proving to yourself over and over that Universe will do whatever you request, just inspires you to ask and believe more -- which is one of the most important things you need to do to make the Law of Attraction work for you.

So, give it a try over the next few days. If you don’t want to wait until tonight or tomorrow morning to do it you can try this experiment today. Try to guess the time without looking at a watch or a clock (another trick I have mastered - I am usually correct within a 2 to 3 minute window.) Simply ask Universe “What time is it?” and wait for the answer to pop into your head. Then go check a watch or a clock. Keep practicing. Eventually you will have the number pop into your head automatically.

Another trick you can try is to ask what time you will arrive somewhere. If you are on your way someplace, ask Universe what time you will arrive there. Be sure to empty your own thoughts before asking. Don’t attempt to analyze the mileage or traffic or any of the things your brain will naturally want to do. Just simply ask the question and see what number pops into your head.

With a little practice, this too becomes very easy. I’ve become such a natural at this, that just for fun when someone asks what time I will be somewhere I will say something like “I will be there at 7:53 pm.” They laugh as if it is a joke -- my being so specific. Most of the time they don’t even think to check what actual time I arrive, but I always do and enjoy my private little joke with Universe when I am again within a 2 to 3 minute window.

So have fun with this. Start proving to yourself that there is indeed more going on in the background and you have far more intuitive powers than you have every given yourself credit for.

Till tomorrow,
Happy Creating!

Relaxation Technique # 1

Morning all! Sorry for the lack of posts the last few days.

Spring Fever has hit and I’ve got the Spring Cleaning Bug. These are the first beautiful spring days in New York and I have been taking total advantage of them.

I could tell how much I have gotten accomplished by the aches and pains I have been experiencing at night and in the morning so I have been using an old technique I learned years ago to help relax my muscles, (which gave me the inspiration to write today‘s post).

Ironically this a technique I learned in 8th grade gym class (many years before my “spiritual study quest“) but it always worked so well for me that I find I am still using it after all these years.

This is an especially good technique to use before bedtime because it is so relaxing it will often put you to sleep. So it is not recommended for the middle of the day if energy is what you are looking for.

If you have problems falling asleep at night however due to stress or restlessness this is the perfect exercise for you.

It is an exercise where you tense and relax all of your muscles until you feel them disappear.

Start by lying flat on your back in bed, hands at your sides. (Your head on a pillow of coarse is fine if you are shooting to fall asleep).

Close your eyes and take a few deep breathes in through your nose until you feel your abdomen rise (not just air in your chest) then release the breathes gently out through your mouth.

Start by tensing both of your feet as tight as you possibly can as you steadily count to the number 8 - when you reach 8 slowly start releasing the muscles in your feet as you steadily count back down to 1. When you reach 1 imagine that your feet have totally disappeared and now the only body parts you can feel is from your head to your calves. Imagine your feet have disappeared into oblivion.

So it is going to be tense, tense, tense, to number 8, release, release, release back to number 1 then “disappear“.

Take another 2 or 3 deep breathes. Now tense up both your calves and count up to 8 and back down until they disappear. Now all you will feel of your body is from the top of your head to your knees. The rest has disappeared into oblivion. A few more deep breathes.

Continue to do this with your knees, thighs, butt, stomach, chest, arms, hands, shoulders, neck, head and even face.

By the time you are done with every body part, you will get the most awesome feeling of having “no body” - that you are just breath. Now just keep deep breathing and focus on “being”. As if you are simply “presence” itself. If you find your mind starting to wander anywhere just focus on the color black as you continue to breathe.

This usually has me asleep within 3 minutes time. I’ve told a few others about this exercise and they have confirmed that it works just as well for them.

So if you are looking for a quick easy way to relax and sleep at night or even if you are attempting to nap during the day, give this a try.

It works wonders.

Happy Creating!

You Can Never Get It Wrong and You Can Never Get It Done

“You can never get it wrong and you can never get it done.” - Abraham-Hicks

This is another great quote of Abraham-Hicks that really clicked for me the first time I heard it and it still does today.

It is as simple as that. No matter what choices you make in your life, you can never get it wrong and no matter how many tasks you have accomplished you can never get it all done.

Once you really get the true beauty of this quote you will be able to relax and maybe for the first time in your life just simply “be”.

You see, every decision that you make is the “right” one due to the time and the circumstances that you make it as well as the person you are in that moment. The only mistake that we make is when we attempt to look back and say to ourselves well if only I had done such and such things would be so different.

And yes they probably would be different, but it still doesn’t mean it was the choice you should have made at that moment.

As you have probably realized by now, everything “happens” for a reason. Every road we choose leads us to a new experience which births a new desire and that is exactly as it should be.

The problem begins if we find ourselves in circumstances that we are less than thrilled at and we make the mistake of looking back and saying “it is only due to this mistake that I am here now” as opposed to saying to ourselves “O.K. - This is where I am. Where do I want to go from here?“

For example, if you had a choice between two jobs. And you chose one that you eventually end up disliking. Do you make the mistake of saying “I knew I should have taken the other one!“ Well, my question to you is how do you know? There is obviously a “reason” you took this one at the time that you made the decision, even if at the moment you were unaware of what it was.

Instead of spending your time having regrets, figure out now what that reason is. Maybe you end up making a life long friend out of a co-worker you wouldn‘t have met otherwise, maybe you will be making a connection with someone you will end up doing business with in the future, maybe you simply just needed to “kill some time here” as the perfect job is being set up for you and the day you decide to quit this one - the new one will be ready.

If you start realizing that you can’t get it wrong, and start realizing there is no rule book that you are supposed to follow, you start to understand that where you are right now is exactly where you are supposed to be and the pressure is off. Which leads us to part 2 of the quote.

You never get it done.

It is very simple. You don’t. The day you do not have a goal you would like to accomplish or a manifestation that you wish to create, is the day you are ready to leave this planet. But even then it is not done. Because even when you are in the non-physical you will be getting busy planning your next lifetime.

We are creative beings. We can only know all that we are capable of by every new creation we create. And as we accomplish one creation we just naturally birth a desire for a better and greater one. And that is what existence is all about and it goes on eternally.

We learn, we discover, we create which teaches us more to learn and discover and create.

So if that is the case…where is your finish line? There simply isn’t one. But what happens if you spend your whole life looking for one? What happens when you keep telling yourself when I accomplish this….then I will be happy. When you are in high school then you will be happy, when you graduate then you will be happy, when you are in college, then when you graduate, when you get your first job, then when you get your promotion, when you get married, then buy a house, then have kids, then have the kids old enough to be out of the house, when you retire…

If you keep waiting for all of these things to be accomplished in order for you to be happy…then you are completely missing it! Missing Life! Missing the joy of the process of creating! Missing some of the best moments of your life that I can promise you will look back some day on and wish you had appreciated more.

So start now! Appreciate now! Get excited when a new idea pops into your head. Love the process - the inspiration that comes as you go along creating. Don’t wait to be happy - be happy now! Remember…

You can never get it wrong and you never get it done.

Happy Creating!

Just For Fun Manifestation

Hello All! Another great day to give this life thing another shot - isn’t it?

Sorry I use that line so often but it is truly the first thing I think of when I wake up every morning so it just seems natural to type it here.

I created an interesting manifestation one day last week that keeps popping into my head so I guess I am meant to write about it here, small as it is.

Then again I have learned to see the small manifestations as important as the larger ones; because regardless of the size, it is constant proof to me that Universe is always listening and delivering what I request. Always and in All Ways.

So anyway, last Thursday morning I got in the car with my son to drive him to school. I have been as happy as a clam ever since I got my satellite radio installed in the truck because I love the 70’s and 80’s channels filled with all my old favorite songs commercial free.

One of my favorite old songs is a corny one that came out in 1979 called Makin’ It. It was from an old T.V. show and had been on the charts a couple of weeks back then. It‘s just an upbeat tune I have always loved.

As soon as we were buckled in I turned to my son and said “You know what song I am in the mood for? Makin It. Then I looked up at the ceiling and said “Hear that Universe? I want to hear the song Makin’ It” and I caught my son doing the old eye roll as I hit the button for the 70s station.

The rolling of his eyes wasn’t because I was talking out loud to Universe. He’s quite used to that and I am happy to report is starting to do it himself. It was more due to the fact that on the rare occasion that the song does come on, I usually full blast it and sing it at the top of my lungs.

But to my slight disappointment and my son’s huge relief we didn’t hear it on our short ride that morning.

The fun occurred in the afternoon however when I went to pick him up. As soon as we got in the car together and I turned on the radio - there was the song!

But that wasn’t the fun part!

The fun part is when I realized the song was not on the 70’s station as it should have been, but was on the least likely station I would ever expect to find it. It was on the Opie and Anthony channel.

For those of you who don’t know, the Opie and Anthony show is an edgy talk radio show syndicated all over the country. I happened to have left the station on while running my errands during the day.

Unbeknownst to me, the singer of Makin’ It, David Naughton, had been arrested the previous day for spousal battery, and Opie and Anthony were discussing it on the show along with playing the song in the background.

Now believe me when I say, for no other reason would this station be playing this song. This is the kind of song they live to abuse. Even my son’s mouth hung open as he realized what station was playing it. “This is on Opie and Anthony?” I just laughed as I said “Universe works in mysterious ways!“ and listened to the rest of the broadcast which played clips of the song in the background at least another 3 times.

So I guess the lesson here is, do not assume to know the best way Universe will bring you what you are asking for and do not limit the ways it can bring it. If I had left the 70’s station on searching for the song, there was a good chance I would have never heard it. Instead Universe delivered it in under 7 hours from a most unlikely source.

So if you would like to have a little fun today, pick something unusual you would like to see manifest to prove to yourself that Universe is indeed always working in the background.

Make it a pink elephant, a blue feather or a purple car. Then keep your eyes open and watch in amazement as a delivery truck with a giant pink elephant logo on it pulls in front of you on the highway.

You will not ever doubt Universe again.

Happy Creating!

5 Tibetan Energy Rejuvenation Rites - Freebie!

I came across another great freebie a couple of weeks ago and would love to share it with you.

I am always cruising the internet in search of the next thing I am supposed to learn in my awesome spiritual journey. I usually start by stating “O.K. Universe, let’s see what I am supposed to be learning today…” and head out into the vast internet to discover. (I know that I don’t have to say that because Universe has a great way to showing me anyway, but I always somehow feel I am off on a mini- adventure when I do.)

I often go to my favorite Law of Attraction sites to see what new information has been added, sometimes I find new sites, sometimes I click on ads that catch my eye, or click on something from this site… that brings me to that site, etc..

I usually know it when I spot it. I feel the “tingle” I always feel and an increased desire to find out more immediately about whatever the subject is. Once that happens I can get involved for hours soaking up as much input as my brain will allow.

So I came across this 5 Tibetan Energy Rejuvenation Rites idea by clicking on an ad that stated this was “The World's Oldest & Most Effective System Of Looking And Staying Young.”

I felt the tingle and decided to do a little further research by Googling 5 Tibetan Rites and happily found a bunch of information on the subject (all free), which I am happy to share with you.

The following is an excerpt I found from one of the ads which tells the story:

It was the year 1930 in Southern California.

A young gentleman named Peter Kelder was taking a leisurely stroll, when a sudden shower broke out. He ran for cover to a nearby Travelers Club.

There, randomly, he sat at the table of a retired British army officer, known as Colonel Bradford. The Colonel was a wrinkled, stooping man in his late sixties, drained of physical energy, unable to walk without the help of a strong cane. Yet despite their differences, the pair soon became friends – and regularly met to discuss the Colonel’s many varied travels.

Of all of his topics, Colonel Bradford preferred to talk about India.
In particular, one story attracted him more than any other...

In almost every Indian district he’d visited, he’d been told about an ancient monastery deep in the heart of Tibet, where Lamas had discovered “The Fountain of Youth.”

Peter Kelder later wrote of this place: “Old men had visited and mysteriously regained health and strength, vigor and virility shortly after entering a certain monastery; but where this particular place was none seemed exactly to know.”

Colonel Bradford decided to leave – and find that monastery for himself.

The Colonel occasionally wrote to Kelder with updates of his progress. He eventually reported that he had found the monastery. But then the scent ran dry, and Kelder heard nothing more.

Until four years later, when Colonel Bradford stepped into his office...
... COMPLETELY TRANSFORMED.

His hair was a rich brown once again. His complexion was smooth and fresh. He no longer walked with a stoop. He was energetic, and strong, and virile, and HAPPY.

Asked how old he looked, most people guessed 38.

HE WAS 72!

The secret, he said, was all down to FIVE RITUALS he uncovered inside that lost Tibetan monastery, deep in the Himalayan Mountains...

Well, needless to say after reading this story I was hooked!! I am always a little skeptical about purchasing some products online so I decided to do a little further research on my own and found this awesome site that not only offers the exercises for free but even has moving video to demonstrate how to perform them.

I have been using it now for about 2 weeks and sure enough I do feel better! I can’t guarantee it will make anyone feel 30 years younger than they are, but I do find I have more energy and breathe deeper throughout the day than I used to.

They recommend that you do it 2 or 3 times a day and 21 repetitions of each. I do it once or twice a day and am up to 11 repetitions of each. (Take it slow in the beginning if you are not used to this kind of exercise.) I enjoy the first exercise because it makes me feel like a little kid again.

I hope to eventually build up to the 21 reps - 3 times a day. It’s quick, it’s easy…and hey…you know how Law of Attraction works…if you believe it will make incredible changes in how you look and feel…then it will!

Here is the site that I have found. I have never communicated with anyone from this site, but I am hoping they will not mind too much having free traffic driven there.

Till Tomorrow,

Happy Creating!

My Grateful List - April 2008

I decided this morning as I emptied my awesome dishwasher that it is time again for me to do my grateful list.

If you have studied the Law of Attraction for any length of time you have probably realized that gratefulness and thankfulness are two of the strongest emotions you can use to get into a higher vibrational level for what you are wanting to create in the future.

I started using it on a regular basis anytime I found myself wanting to create something new. Doing the list always raised my vibration and put me in a much better place to attract what I was wanting.

Quite by accident however, I found out that not only does it help bring me what I want easier and faster, it simply made me feel good during and after I did it.

If this is the first time you are hearing of the Grateful List there is an article that explains it in more detail here.

So while there isn’t anything material I am particularly wanting at this moment, I am in the mood for a spiritual boost; so here I go.

1. I am grateful to be alive and give this life thing another shot today. Who knows what surprises are in store for me today?

2. I am SO grateful for my mother’s feeling better. She was in the hospital with pneumonia but is healing perfectly and will be going home today.

3. I am very grateful for my husband, who understands me and works hard so we can live in this awesome place.

4. I am so grateful for my gorgeous, healthy son, who makes me laugh at the same time he is driving me crazy.

5. I am so grateful for my health. I can walk today, talk today, see today, hear today and am completely pain free. What an awesome vehicle I have to help me accomplish whatever I choose to do today.

6. I am grateful for the weather today. It is the first 70 degree day in New York this Spring -- Perfect day to wash down the backyard furniture.

7. I am grateful for my dishwasher. After years of living without one I love how it saves me an hour a day in washing and drying. I love how efficiently it works and the soothing sound of it doing all the work while I sit here peacefully typing this list.

8. I am just as grateful for my washer and dryer in the house. No more quarters! No more lugging my laundry out of the house. I can do my laundry anytime I want - how cool is that?

9. I am grateful for my coffee maker. What an awesome way to start the morning with the smell and taste of that addictive brew and I don‘t even have to leave my house to get it.

10. I am grateful for my wonderful shower with plenty of clean, hot water.

11. I am grateful for water itself. I consider it “liquid health” when I drink it. It makes my body run more efficiently and tastes awesome when it is cold and I am lucky enough to be able to simply turn a tap to get it.

12. I am grateful for the bed I just got out of that gave me a great nights sleep last night on fresh sheets I just put on it yesterday.

13. I am grateful for all the neighbors and friends who have been calling regarding my mother. It’s awesome to know that people care.

14. I am grateful for this computer and the internet. There are so many things I use it for everyday. What did I ever do without it?

15. I am grateful that my son has school today. As much as I enjoy him, I also enjoy the time alone I have to wash the backyard furniture listening to music I like!!!

16. I am grateful for my awesome running truck. I love how comfortable and reliable it is and realize how difficult life could be if I didn’t have it.

17. I am grateful for the electricity in my house today. I can use this computer, run my dishwasher, and my son can watch television before school all at the same time.

18. I am even grateful for occasional blackouts - because they help me to appreciate my electricity when I have it.

19. I am grateful for my cable television and my great working T.V. Over 300 channels! Wow! What did I do in the old days when there was only 7 channels and no remote control?

20. I am grateful for cell phones! I can talk to anyone I need to anytime I need to because they all have cell phones too! How cool is that?

Well, I have reached my spiritual high for today - and also my time limit to get the little one ready for school! Life is just so cool nowadays. There are so many things we have that our relatives and ancestors didn’t have that make life so much easier. I could probably write another 50 things right now effortlessly, but seeing as I am short on time, I will just think about them mentally as I go through the day.

If you would like to experience your own “spiritual high” today I can’t think of a faster way to do it than by doing your own grateful list. It is quick, easy, and costs nothing but a few minutes of your time. But the difference it can make in your mood is incredible.

Until tomorrow….Happy Creating!

Manifestation Exercise # 12: How To Attract And Create A Happier Love Relationship

Ahhh…Relationships. They can provide the highest of highs or the lowest of lows. They can be so addicting…contain so much emotion…and sometimes cause you so many problems you want to scream!

Everyone knows how it is at the beginning of a relationship. The incredible surge of energy you send each others way!

When a relationship first begins you are each giving 100% of your energy to the other person. 100% of your energy surges with those first kisses, 100% of energy surges when you hear their voice on the answering machine, the butterflies start flying in your stomach as they are on their way to see you! The other person is all you think about and vice versa. It is one of the most incredible highs in the world and it feels like nothing can bring you down! Until one day something does.

You see, the problems begin when you get addicted to that initial energy. Because it feels so great in the beginning you want that feeling to go on forever. When it doesn‘t however, you start to feel as if someone let the air out of your balloon.

If you were able to look at the situation clearly (i.e., without emotion) you would be able to see that nobody can maintain that kind of energy flow forever.

Yes, while at the beginning of the relationship the relationship itself is getting 100% of each of your attention and energies, eventually “real life” has got to come back into the picture. Eventually problems at work are going to need both of your attentions as well. So will money matters, family matters, car repair matters, etc.

And this is where many of the problems begin.

Another pitfall that occurs due to this initial energy surge is you start to believe that your partner now somehow holds your future happiness in their hands. Seeing as they were the ones responsible for making you feel so good in the beginning, you now subconsciously or unconsciously believe it is their responsibility to continue to make you feel good in the future; and if for some reason you do not feel good, than it must somehow be their fault.

The following exercise is designed for anyone who is currently in a relationship that might be having problems or for anyone who might be looking to enter a new relationship. It is an exercise to help you regain your personal power and shows you how to make yourself feel better regardless of what is happening in your relationship.

Grab a piece of paper or open up a word document and write down an answer to the following questions. It is probably better to copy the questions and keep them in a word document so you can easily refer back to them during any weaker relationship moments.
Questions:

1. Do I put the responsibility of my happiness or unhappiness in my partners hands?

2. When something goes wrong in my life or I am unhappy, do I go out of my way to blame the person I am with and somehow make it their fault?

3. Why have I given this person so much control over my happiness?

4. Do I see our relationship as two emotionally healthy people deciding to share our lives together or do I see this person as part of my own identity?

5. Do I try to make this person do anything they don’t want to do?

6. Do they try to make me do anything I don’t want to do?

7. Why do we do that?

8. Didn’t I have a life before they were in it?

9. Have I stopped doing anything I used to enjoy doing since I have been with this person?

10. Why have I allowed myself to do that?

11. Isn’t it possible that this person really does love me - but just doesn’t have the time or ability to see to 100% of all my needs all the time?

12. Do I really think it should be their responsibility to think about me and only me all of the time?

13. If I do…why do I think that?

14. Didn’t I come down to this planet to create the best life for my “self” that I can create?

15. Didn’t they come down to do the same?

16. Where did we get the idea that it is either of our responsibilities to make the other person happy?

17. Is it even possible to make someone else happy if deep down they are not?

18. Is there anything I can do to make myself feel better regardless of what they do or do not do?

19. If this person was not in my life right now, would I be doing anything different to make myself happy (other than dating other people of coarse)?

20. What about this relationship is keeping me from doing that now?

The point of this exercise is to remember that you are indeed your OWN person.

Only you have the ability to make yourself happy or unhappy. Only you have the ability to control how and what you think.

You came down to this Earth to create your own life experience. If you choose to include someone to enjoy that experience with you - great. But if suddenly the life you are trying to create is dependent on what the other person says or does, than you have some tweaking to do.

It is simply a bad habit you have let yourself fall into if you let your happiness depend on another and it is simply time to reclaim your own happiness creating abilities.

So how do you do this?

The first thing to do is remember that believe it or not you DID used to have a life of your own before this person was in it. Now I don’t mean that in a negative way as if you should get rid of the person, but I mean it as a simple fact.

Yes there were actually times in your life that you laughed before they were there. There were times you felt good about yourself, felt confident, felt competent, felt happy.
Yes, once upon a time you did attend parties, celebrate holidays, have friends, worked at jobs and even ate meals before this person was in your life so you obviously do not need this person to survive or to make you happy.

The second thing to remember is that you have chosen this person to be in your life and they have done the same. It is not an obligation on either or your parts. Forget any ridiculous outside pressure that makes you feel you need to do or be a certain way in a relationship or that once in a relationship you are “too far in” to get out of it.

You came here to create the life you desire and other people have the same responsibility to create theirs. Not only are neither of you responsible for each others happiness, it is impossible to deliver it even if you wanted to. As you may have discovered, no matter what you can do for someone or what they do for you “it just never seems to be enough.” This is simply because you can’t find happiness outside of yourself. Only you can bring yourself complete fulfillment.

The last thing to remember is that if you have made the mistake of losing yourself in past relationships, your current one or are even thinking about entering a new one, you need to remember to keep your own identity. Remember what you want in life, what you enjoy doing, what your interests are.

If you find that you are losing yourself in the relationship, start reclaiming yourself by making a conscious effort to do things you enjoy doing -- and yes -- you can do them on your own if your partner is not interested. Go alone or call a friend. Actually doing things apart from each other is healthy. It helps you to maintain your own independence and identity and gives you interesting things to talk about.

Not to mention if the worst does happen and the relationship does end, you still have a life to go back to.

Relationships can be awesome. When you are with someone you can laugh and share with, someone you can respect and have fun with and yes someone you can depend on at times to help you get through some of the rougher spots in life.

As long as you don’t lose yourself along the way or forget who is really responsible for your happiness you can be together for many happy years to come.

Happy Creating!

It Isn't Good - It Isn't Bad - It Just "Is"

Hi Everyone!

Every once in awhile I come across this great message that always makes me just stop and remember. It usually seems to “appear” in a book or on a website if I am in the middle of a emotion I am trying to soothe myself out of . The message is so simple and clear and I know my life would be infinitely more peaceful if I would just remember it more consistently. The message?

“It isn’t good - it isn’t bad --it just IS!”

Anytime we suffer from what we term a “negative” emotion or situation it is simply considered negative due to some past association with it. I’ve use this example before in some of my posts and articles:

If it is raining out -- is it a good or a bad thing?

To a farmer dealing with a drought it is an awesome thing but to a bride on her wedding day -- not so much.

But the rain itself is not good or bad. It simply IS.

Sometimes Universe (or your higher self, if you prefer) has something greater or bigger in store for us that we might not be able to see in the situation right in front of us.

For example: Maybe the rain on a bride’s wedding day slowed down traffic so an accident that would have involved a family member on dry pavement didn’t happen after all. Talk about which scenario the bride would have preferred more!

The point is, by keeping this message in mind it will help take the emotion out of your current situation. It gives you a chance to take a breath and realize that the world or the Universe is not out to get you; it is simply an event that is happening. How you choose to deal with it or think about it next is up to you.

Can you find something positive in it? Find an underlying reason why it might be happening in your best interest? Is there something you can do to turn whatever is happening into a memorable event?

If you are on a first date and there is a blizzard, instead of worrying about the date being ruined can you turn it into the world’s best snowball fight? If you want to take someone out but do not have the money for an expensive dinner, can you create the world’s most romantic picnic on the beach?

So much of our personal pain occurs when we mistakenly believe something should be one way and it turns out another.

It is not the situation itself that is the problem; just our preconceived notion of what we believe it should be like that is the problem.

By remembering that something “Isn’t good or bad, it just simply IS” we can retrain ourselves to stay in the moment. We can act calmly, think clearly and take the next best step without all of our negative emotion screwing it up and making the situation worse.

So keep this message in mind the next time things don’t go the way you think they “should” go. Tell yourself it just simply “Is” and move on calmly from there. You might be surprised how much easier you get through it.

Happy Creating!

Abraham-Hicks Snippets #1

Hello Everyone! Another great day to give this “life” thing another shot - isn’t it?

Please forgive me for not posting daily lately. I’ve been revamping my website and my newsletter at the same time - so I have fallen a little behind. It will probably take until the end of April to be finished - but after that I should be back to daily posts and anyone who has signed up for the free newsletter should be receiving it around May 1st.

I have just come from the Abraham-Hicks message boards. It is one of my favorite places to visit on the net. It is filled with such inspiration and ideas. Every day people write with questions they have about the Law of Attraction and others respond with some awesome answers. I am not ashamed to say that I use the site quite often for my own inspiration on things to write about or ponder.

Connee Chandler is an awesome “Aber” who really gets it. She has been following Abraham for years and her posts are so unbelievably inspiring! She attends quite a few of their conferences and cruises and then writes an awesome list of highlights that are quick little bits of inspiration.

I figure because they so inspire me they might inspire you as well, so every once in awhile I write a post about them. I have never met or spoken with Connee personally, so this is pure idol worship on my part.

The following snippets came from the most recent Abraham cruise she attended in the Caribbean. As people ask Abraham questions, Connee writes down the most relevant parts of the answers that Abraham gives. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do:

1. Train yourself to see the world through the eyes of connected being. Few do it, but when they do, you call them a master. Only a fraction of the population is living life to the fullest.

2. Your potential is huge! You feel elation in alignment and discouragement in non-alignment.

3. When you have the good fortune of coming into harmony with a connected being, wonderful things can happen to you. If you took all the collective wealth of the world, and divided it fairly among everyone, in 10 years it would be all back where it is now. Everything is about Law of Attraction and which aspects are dominant in your vibration.

4. You've come too far to go back. You can hardly stand not to get the rest of you moving in that direction. As you give more attention to how you feel, you will find a renewed zest for life. You have to consider the Nonphysical vantage point in order to understand how Law of Attraction really works, who you really are and why you have come forth. Ask "What does my Inner Being think about this situation?"

5. Law of Attraction always is responding BOTH to Source Energy thoughts and your thoughts to either cause the feeling of coming together, which is positive emotion, or pulling apart, which is negative emotion.

6. This variety in the levels of connection allows Law of Attraction to bring together people of like vibration. Jerry notices it in businesses - he can feel the reflection of the vision of the core person in a business, because the vibrational lineage flows out through everything and everyone.

7. You have got your foot out of acting from motivation by others, but you don't yet have both feet in acting from inspiration.

8. Begin to expect good things. You will experience synching up with wellbeing and respect; your relationships become fun and harmonious.

9. You can do it relative to friend relationships, and mates but also to world politics. One individual tuned precisely to wellbeing can change the world with a new vision.

10. When someone gets really sick, the eternal, biggest part of them that is
well in vibrational escrow is now weller than ever. There is something positive beyond them - you just need to discover what it is.

You see, your higher self sees beyond time and current circumstances. It knows your “true intentions“, even if you are unaware of them consciously, and it will do everything in its power to match you vibrationally to that thing you are “truly” wanting.

For instance, if your higher intention is safety and security and something comes up that will jeopardize that safety and security (even if you are unaware that it will jeopardize it at the time) it is not at all surprising that obstacles will suddenly appear to prevent you from making a mistake.

Quite often we can misinterpret this obstacles as negative things happening to us or it is just us “not getting what we want when we want it” but there is a little more to it than that.

The following story is an example:

My husband and I were living in a house we bought in Staten Island when we first got married. At the time we bought it, we were both working full time in Manhattan, and while we were making just enough to afford it, there was no extra money.

After a couple of years we decided we wanted to have a baby, but realized that there was no way we could continue to pay for the house if I quit working to stay home to take care of the baby (which I really wanted to do) nor could we afford a full time sitter under the circumstances.

So we decided the only logical solution was to sell our house in New York and have a house built in Southern New Jersey about an hour and a half away. The houses there were much cheaper and we could afford to live there on one salary. We were leaving friends and family behind, but we couldn’t see any other choice.

This was when we ended up making one of the most ridiculous mistakes we could have ever made (or so we thought). Instead of taking the money from the sale of our Staten Island home and putting it into an escrow account to be used for the down payment on the new house we were having built, we made the mistake of giving the money directly to the builder. This builder then proceeded to skip town with it; leaving us with no house, no money to buy another one and no way to find him. By the time this all occurred I was already six months pregnant. Now to say I was despondent was putting it mildly!

We had no choice but to get ourselves an apartment in Staten Island and pray that we would hit some kind of lottery, because with only my husband working it would take years to save up enough money for another down payment. On top of that, the housing boom hit which put $200,000 homes into the half million dollar category! Talk about watching your dream get further and further away from you!

Now you see, I truly do believe that everything happens for a reason, but at the time, I truly couldn’t figure this one out. We were both good and honest people; we had worked hard and had saved every penny we could and now it was all gone in one fell swoop.

Even though I had already starting learning about the law of attraction, this was a really tough one for me to overcome. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t seem to get past the resentment I felt towards the whole situation. Which of coarse kept me in the situation even longer.

Eventually I started getting back into studying, meditating and looking forward instead of back. It was no easy climb, I assure you. But I started my own online business and put all my energy into focusing on bringing more money in as opposed to staying focused on what we had lost.

Now this is when things got interesting. During the time this was all happening, my mother met a really great guy she was getting serious with. He had his own house in Pennsylvania and she eventually found herself spending more time there then she was in her own house in Staten Island. She didn’t want to sell her house because she still wanted a place to be able to come back to when she visited us or my brother.

So she made us a deal. If my husband and I would take over all the expenses of the house (the mortgage was paid off years ago, so it was just taxes, insurance and the utilities), we could live there as long as we wanted. We only needed to leave the guest room open for her anytime she wanted to visit. Talk about a no-brainer!

The part that strikes me funny though (and what inspired this article, by the way) is that I just came across my old law of attraction journals and read what I had written years ago right before I had sold my own Staten Island home.

It is the list of intentions I wrote to Universe about what I was choosing to create for my future. This is what it said:

I choose to live in a beautiful house I can easily afford
I choose it to be in a great neighborhood
I choose to be surrounded by good friends and neighbors
I choose it to be located in a great school zone

There were some other minor things, but that was the gist of it. What amazes me looking at it now is realizing that I never stated that I had to own the house, or that I was going to have the perfect house built, or even stated that it was going to be a beautiful house in New Jersey; though I know at the time that I wrote the list that that was the direction we were headed because we were already in the process.

All I know is, I am glad that Universe took me at my word and I am very happy that in this case I wasn‘t more specific, because I couldn’t have foreseen how much better this situation would work out for me.

You see, in the time that it took for all these things to occur, the property taxes in the area of New Jersey that I was going to move to has since tripled! If I was living there now it would be costing me more than I was originally paying for my first Staten Island house that I couldn’t afford. It would have been a constant financial struggle, even if I had found another full time job out of the house.

Not to mention how easily the other things on my list fell into place. I am living in a great neighborhood, I am already surrounded by good friends and neighbors because I have known them most of my life growing up here and my son is in the same excellent school zone I was in!

The point is, quite often we don’t realize when we are right in the thick of what we perceive to be a negative situation, that there is something for our greater good beyond it.

We get so focused on cursing the darkness in the tunnel that we forget to look for the light at the end of it.

So here is the exercise for you. It comes in two parts with a bonus at the end if you really want to get into it..

Part One

Think back and write down all the times when what you thought was a negative situation turned into a positive one.

For instance:

When you had to cancel vacation plans due to work or lack of money and found out later they had a hurricane that week.
When you missed your flight due to bad weather and then found out the plane you were supposed to be on got stuck on the tarmac for 7 hours and you were at least in a comfortable airport with a bar and a bathroom!
When you didn’t get a job you thought you wanted and ended up being available for a better one.
When the person you wanted to call you never did, and you ended up meeting the “one” because you were single.
When you missed making the perfect investment, only to find out the company tanked and you would have lost a ton of money.

You get the idea. These things happen all the time. Writing them down helps reaffirm to you that Universe (or your higher self, if you prefer) does in fact have your best interests at heart. If you have a hard time coming up with anything, think about every good thing in your life right now and backtrack. Believe me, you will start to see many ways these things couldn’t have come to you if you had indeed gotten what you originally asked for.

Part Two

Start looking for the light at the end of your tunnel by asking What If? What If The Reason I Haven’t Gotten What I Want Yet Is Because….? Start stretching your mind with ideas of what your higher self might have in store for you that you just haven’t realized yet.

For example:

What if (I didn’t get this position) because a better one is waiting for me.
What if (the reason the deal on buying the house fell through) was because the roof is about to collapse this winter and it would have cost me a fortune I wouldn’t have.
What if (the reason he/she hasn’t called me for another date) was because they are total psychos and my higher self knows better than for me to get involved with them.
What if (the reason the car broke down today when I had somewhere really important to be) was because I would have been involved in a major accident if I had been on the highway today.
What if (the reason I can’t afford the ski trip right now) is because I would have broken my leg on the slopes.
What if (the reason I am stuck on the absolutely slowest line in the store) is because if I left earlier I would run into someone I really don’t want to see right now.

Really stretch your imagination. The fun part of this exercise is that it can help soothe you through disappointment. But the most important part happens later when you prove yourself to be right and you indeed confirm that your higher self has your best interests at heart. That’s when you begin to trust that everything is happening in exactly the right order.

Now for the Bonus Part if you really want to get into it.

Step Three

Try to find your true “hidden intention” as opposed to what you think that you want.

For instance, with my Jersey house. I originally thought my intention was to have this beautifully built house in New Jersey. But in truth my “hidden intention” was just to live in a beautiful house I could afford. This was obvious by how I wrote my intention on my list. After struggling financially in our first house, security was really all I was looking for and just hadn’t realized it. It wasn’t until after I received it that I noticed the blessing it really was.

Maybe in your case, your “hidden intention” was to find someone who really cared about you and was interested in the same things you are. You might have originally thought you were going to find this with a person of the opposite sex but instead you found it in the new best friend you made six months ago and you just haven‘t realized it yet.

So start enjoying and appreciating that friend that Universe sent you in answer to your request and watch how that higher vibration will automatically attract the opposite sex person you are also wanting. Heck! It might even be through that friend.

We are happily such complicated creatures. So much lies below the surface we aren‘t even aware of. But the daily discovery of these things is what makes life so fun and interesting.

Just the fact that you are reading these types of articles means you are already on your way to discovery.

So start looking for the positives that await you in your future. If something you are going through appears negative at the moment, it simply means you haven’t yet discovered the place your higher self is leading you to.

Don’t get discouraged, don’t give up and don’t curse the darkness. Start taking the first steps now to finding the light at the end of your tunnel.

Happy Creating!

Law of Attraction Manifestation Exercise #10 - Eliminating The Feeling of Guilt

As most of us know, the feeling of Guilt is probably one of the hardest emotions to deal with. It is a kind of a punch-in-the-gut feeling you would do just about anything to rid yourself of. It can sometimes make you cringe, want to run away, or do anything humanly possible you can do to make it better.

So is there any benefit to the emotion at all? Actually it depends. Is it a “healthy guilt” or an “unhealthy guilt.”

Now some people might ask what on earth is a “healthy guilt”? A “healthy guilt” can be simply a sign post from your higher self or Universe, if you prefer, that there are some things you might like to do differently in the future than you have been doing.

For instance, if you haven’t given your children the attention they deserve lately because you have been so busy and you feel that little guilt nudge, it is simply a sign that you need to change the situation a little.

If you haven’t been eating properly or taking as good care of yourself as you should be, you can use the nudge to start to change things.

So what then is an “unhealthy guilt”? An unhealthy guilt is normally a feeling you get from outsiders who tell you that you are doing “it” wrong or that you are somehow not living up to “their” standards.

Unfortunately, it is this guilt that can do the most damage to your self-esteem and well-being and the one that needs to be dealt with quickly if you want to start feeling better.

The following story is an example:

A girlfriend of mine goes to her family’s house every Christmas Eve and then has Christmas Day at her house. Her 8 year old son is currently the only child in the family at the moment and her entire family looks forward to his delight and excitement during the holidays.

But, because he is the only child, quite often she finds that everyone else wants to give him the presents he wants most on his list, leaving her to the task of trying to divide what favorite things he will open on Christmas Eve and what he will receive on Christmas Day.

Last year the big gift was going to be the Wii system. His grandmother had managed to get her hands on it (which most people know was almost an impossibility last year) and the rest of the family were thrilled to buy some of the games that went with it.

My friends son had already been told not to expect the game because of its limited availability, so everyone couldn’t wait to see the excitement on his face when he opened it.

Sure enough on Christmas Eve he opens the Wii system and is super excited! He is jumping around eagerly as his father takes the ½ hour it takes to set the whole system up. However, once the game is set up, the adults practically pounce on it, because they too, can’t wait to try it out after hearing so much about it.

So while my friends son got to try it out first the first few minutes - he had a bunch of adults who kept asking him for the controller so they could give it a shot. They playfully argued with each other “No! You have to twist your arm this way to hit it” or “No, you have to step closer to the T.V., ” etc. as they all tried to figure it out.

After about 10 minutes my girlfriend noticed her son had left the room and she went to look for him. She found him sitting quietly in another room by himself playing his regular Nintendo DS game. He wasn’t angry or upset, but just seemed to accept the situation and was keeping himself entertained. She, however, did feel bad because not only was he not able to play his new game, but judging from the laughter inside, she knew he also wasn’t getting his hands back on the game anytime soon. So she went into her pocketbook and pulled out one of the new DS games she was saving to give him Christmas morning. She figured he was being such a good sport and she knew how excited he was going to be about this game as well because he had been asking for it for so long.

Sure enough he was thrilled and couldn’t wait for her to open it. Everything was great until her mother walked in the room and flipped out. “I cannot believe how much you spoil him!“ she fumed. “Here he just got this new game inside that any kid would be thrilled to have and you feel you just have to give him more.“

“But Mom” my girlfriend replied “no one is letting him play it”

“That’s too bad” she said. “He can wait a few minutes while others try it. But no, he comes running to you and you give him whatever he wants.”

“Mom, he didn‘t come running to me, I had to go find him. And he wasn’t complaining at all, which was one of the reasons I gave it to him.”

“Well, that is just ridiculous!” her mother huffed. “I would have never spoiled you or your brother or sister like that. You never received a single gift before Christmas morning when you were kids and we made sure you appreciated every single thing you got. And now here he is, getting such a great gift on Christmas Eve, but that’s not enough, you have to give him more.“

Now my girlfriends’ poor son, who had been sitting there quietly and hadn’t done anything wrong to begin with, voluntarily handed the new game back to his mother. “It’s O.K., Mom. I can wait to play this tomorrow,” which melted my friend’s heart even more - but also made her even angrier with her own mother.

She gave her son the DS game back and told him to go inside and play it. Meanwhile the guilt trip her mother had just given dampened both her and hers sons enjoyment of the rest of the evening.

You see, it is these kinds of guilt trips you need to watch for. When someone tries to make you feel guilty for doing something that goes against their own personal belief system, but that you might feel differently about.

Now I know my girlfriends mother truly had only good intentions when she said what she said. I know it was only her concern for her grandson’s well-being that made her upset with her daughter. And spoiling children was something she had always been dead set against. But the truth was, no matter how long the two of them could have argued their own point of view, neither was going to be able to make the other understand.

When I got concerned however, was when I saw the guilt my girlfriend was started to put herself through when she started doubting her own decision. She started wondering if maybe she was spoiling her son too much. Maybe the Wii should have been enough on Christmas Eve. Not to mention the guilt her son was feeling because he felt it was somehow his fault that his grandmother was upset -- even though he hadn‘t done anything wrong.

This is the kind of guilt which does not serve your higher good. Guilt that is inflicted by others because it is their way of trying to get you to act the way they want you to act or act the way, they themselves, would act.

And this is fine as long as you recognize it for what it is and do not let yourself carry it around with you.

Understand it is perfectly O.K. to have a difference of opinion but do not condemn yourself for the difference. Do not label yourself “a bad parent” because someone thinks you should do something differently.

So now for the Exercise that you can use. It is quick, simple, and can be surprisingly insightful.

The easiest way to find out if the guilt you are experiencing is “healthy guilt” or “unhealthy guilt” you simply need to ask yourself these two simple questions:

“Does this feeling make me truly want to act in a different way?”
“And will acting in a different way make me feel better?”

For instance, say you feel guilty about neglecting your best friend lately. Ask yourself the above questions. Does this feeling make me truly want to act in a different way? You might find yourself answering “Yes, I do want to call her more and spend more time with her. Will acting a different way make me feel better? You might say “Yes, seeing her more often and reconnecting will make me feel better.“ Than you can realize that this is a “healthy guilt” that is merely a sign post for you to follow and do things better in the future.

However, if you already talk to your friend 5 days a week and she is trying to make you feel bad for not being there all 7 days, you might find yourself answering “No, I think we talk more than enough and it will only make me feel resentful if I have to call her more often.“

These two simple questions can work wonders. I had my girlfriend ask herself these questions regarding the “Christmas incident”.

If she could do the situation over again would she want to act in a different way and would it make her feel better if she had? And her answer was a clear no. She would still want to give her son the gift and it would not have made her feel better if she hadn’t. So it was clearly an “unhealthy guilt” based on someone else’s expectations.

So start using this little exercise as of today. Anytime the feeling of guilt rears its ugly head, ask yourself the questions above and get clearer on any move you should or shouldn’t make. If you feel that you want to do something differently than start doing something differently as of NOW. Do not waste your time or emotion feeling bad that you didn’t do it yesterday. Simply start now. Thank your higher self for the sign post and do what will make you feel better going forward.

And if you find that the guilt is unwarranted then recognize this and throw it away immediately because it obviously serves no purpose to you.

You will be amazed how easy it is to get rid of a guilty feeling when you deal with it head on instead of burying it inside you somewhere.

By asking yourself these questions you will either decide you want to do something about it - or you are happy doing things exactly the way that you are. Either way, the matter is settled and you can move on.

Happy Creating!

Law of Attraction: Does Your Learning Process Seem Like Feast or Famine?

I have gone through many different stages of development in the last 20 years that I have been studying and learning the Law of Attraction.

One of the stages that used to drive me crazy the most, but I now find myself looking forward to, is what I like to call the “Feast or Famine” stage.

When I first starting studying the subject I would find myself becoming obsessed with learning more. I would go into every book store or library I could find and take out 3 or 4 books at a time. I would even read them at the same time. Chapter 1 of this book, Chapter 3 of this book, etc. It was such a rush! So many A-ha moments filled with excitement and expectation. Sometimes this phase would last for months at a time; then suddenly - BAM! - I would wake up one morning and have no interest in it at all. I would try and force myself to read more material but the words would just swim in front of my eyes, I couldn’t absorb any more of the material and felt absolutely no interest in it.

I used to hate those stages because I felt as if someone had let the air of my balloon. I missed that spiritual rush; but no matter how much I tried I just couldn’t get back into it and would find myself turning to something very simple like a romance novel or a gossip magazine.

At first, this used to upset me greatly. I would believe I had simply lost interest in the subject
(like I had done with so many other different things in my life) and was afraid I would never get it back again. And that bothered me, because I knew there was still so much to learn and benefit from.

Then all of a sudden - out of the blue - the learning obsession would be back. It felt as if it have never left, and again I found myself consuming as much information as I possibly could in as little time as possible. The rush was back and it felt great!

This spiritual growth “feast or famine” thing must have happened to me at least 10 times over the last 20 years, but luckily I learned after the first few times that it served a major purpose.

I realized that after those periods where I had absorbed so much information in such a short period of time, my subconscious needed time to digest it all and that was behind the purpose of the “down periods”. I discovered this to be true because when the “urge” would hit me again I would understand material at a much deeper level than I had previously.

Even if I read the same exact books over again, I would find a different meaning in them completely. Paragraphs I had initially highlighted the first time did not hit the A-ha cord they initially had, but the paragraphs that I hadn’t highlighted now touched me to the core of my being and brought the excitement again. I found myself considering the original highlighted parts as being boring because "I already understood that part", but found the un-highlighted parts felt like totally new enlightening ideas.

Now I find myself excited when those down periods occur because I know that when the tide turns again, I will be on a higher plateau of learning and creating.

So, if you find yourself feeling restless at your inability to concentrate, absorb more information, or to create “miracles” anymore, give yourself a break. Redirect your attention to something a lot lighter while giving your unconscious self time to absorb the information you just learned.

You will be amazed at the deeper level of understanding you will have when you are ready to approach it again. The old ideas that made you once ask yourself “can this possibly be true?” now change to “ I know that part is absolutely true” now tell me what comes next!

Enjoy this delicious learning process and be easy with yourself. Remember “Everything happens for a reason.”

Happy Creating!

Stop Putting Off Feeling Good Until Later and Feel Better Now!

I have learned a lot about the Law of Attraction over the years, and one of the most important lessons I learned was one of the hardest for me to put into practice. But once I did learn -- it was a whole new world.

It is the lesson of simply feeling good now regardless of the circumstances. Not waiting until this was done first, or that was accomplished before I would allow myself to feel better.

There is a favorite quote of mine from Abraham-Hicks that simply says “You can never get it wrong and you can never get it done.” At first the last part may seem a little disheartening because unconsciously many of us believe that there is an invisible finish line somewhere, but if you think about it truly you will realize that one doesn’t exist.

Think back if you will and see if this sounds familiar to you.

1. As soon as I am done with high school and become an adult, then I will be happy.
2. As soon as I graduate college and start my new career than I will be happy.
3. As soon as I get that promotion, then I will be happy.
4. As soon as I meet the person of my dreams and get married, then I will be happy.
4. As soon as I own my own home, then I will be happy.
5. As soon as I have 2.5 children, then I will be happy.
6. As soon as my children are old enough to feed and clothe themselves, then I will be happy.
7. As soon as my children are old enough to move out of the house, then I will be happy.
8. As soon as I retire, then I will be happy.

According to the list above we will not allow ourselves to be happy until age 75! Not to mention that the list above is not even half of it. How about all those times you told yourself, as soon as I get that bonus check, lose those 10 extra pounds, get the construction finished on the house, etc.?

The fact of the matter is, we do not ever get it done, and nor are we supposed to. We are creative beings. We are here to create always -- in all ways! If it was “all done” we would have no reason to be here anymore.

So if the above statement is true, there is no sense in putting off happiness until… because there will never be an until. We will always be desiring more.

Now some people might consider this a conundrum. Such as a which is it? Should I just be happy with what I have or should I always strive to create more?

The answer to that is both! Be as happy as you can right now with what you have as well as look with excitement at the more you can create! It is simply a myth that says a happy, content person is an unmotivated one. In fact, if you look around you - you will find the opposite is true.

It is the happy, confident, satisfied people who can make a success of everything they touch. They are the ones with all of the friends and connections! They are the ones that have everything just fall into place almost effortlessly. They are the ones who don’t mind taking a new risk because they are the ones not basing their self worth on the failure or success of that risk. They are the ones who say cheerfully “Oh well, that didn’t work out, I’ll just give something else a shot!”

And this attitude of coarse brings us back to how the Law of Attraction really works. When you are on a positive vibrational level more good things come to you.

So stop waiting to be happy! Write down all the positives in your life right now. Spend your time appreciating every little thing. Start realizing that just because you are happy does not mean that you will not want to accomplish anything more. Realize it is just the opposite. Knowing that you don’t “need” more to be happy takes the pressure off. Knowing that you can be happy regardless of the circumstances makes any “goals” much less intimidating.

So enjoy high school now and appreciate all the new experiences; enjoy college and the fun of learning something new; enjoy your singledom and appreciate the freedom of being able to do whatever you want to do whenever you want, enjoy taking care of the very young ones and appreciate that all they need in this world to be happy is you, enjoy the ones who are growing older now and saying and doing the funniest things, enjoy the current job - do it to the best of your ability and enjoy the company of your coworkers as you work up the corporate ladder. You get the idea. Find all of the positives in every position you find yourself in while striving to create even better experiences.

One day when you look back, you will feel so much satisfaction knowing that you enjoyed every single minute of your journey, that there is not a spare minute for regrets.

Happy Creating!

Law of Attraction Manifestation Exercise #9 - List of 100 Things

O.K. So in learning how to use the Law of Attraction you have realized the basics. Think positively - not negatively. Positive brings good results -- negative brings bad. I'm pretty sure we all have that part clear.

So the next question is...How do I think positively when many things in my life are negative right now?

The answer is purposeful mental distraction.

I have written some articles previously about using Mental Distraction but hadn't put them in exercise forms so I will do so now.

It is almost impossible to go from a very negative vibration to a very positive one. It is simply too big a jump. As you have probably also discovered for yourself, it is much harder and it takes a lot longer to accomplish any task you might need to when you are in a negative state as opposed to a strong positive one.

Therefore, it is reasonable to say that it is in your best interest to put yourself in a more positive place mentally before trying to tackle any important task. For the good of you and for the good of the task.

While there are many different ways to accomplish this mental transition, I am going to offer a quick and easy one that you can do in as little as 15 minutes.

You can either grab a pencil or paper or go right to your computer and open a word processing sheet.

The exercise is to write down 100 things that you enjoy doing. That's right enjoy doing. Not a list of what you would like to accomplish in the future (that is another exercise), but simply write down things you have enjoyed in the past and currently.

For instance:

1. Going to your favorite restaurant and enjoying your favorite meal.

2. Having a night to yourself to read a great book

3. A large snowstorm that gives you no choice but to cuddle on the couch and watch television all day.

4. A walk on the beach at sunset.

5. Bowling a great game with your teammates cheering you on

6. Winning even the smallest amount of money in a casino

7. Having a great laugh with your friends

8. Cheering on your favorite sports team when they make an unbelievable play

9. Singing and dancing around the room when no one is watching to your favorite song

10. Spending a solid hour on YouTube watching people do things you would never attempt doing
11. Getting into a warm bed on a cold night.

12. The first night with newly laundered sheets on the bed

13. Enjoying relaxing in a spotlessly clean house

14. The first taste of that hot cup of coffee in the morning

15. The refreshing taste of that tropical drink on the beach, or that cold beer after a hard days physical work

Anyway, you get the gist of it. The point is to write down things that cause you to say "Ummm, yes I do love that."

You will be surprised how much calmer and appreciative you will feel after you have mentally relived this feeling 100 times over in a 15 minute period.

The next steps are to:

1. Save the list so you can go back to it anytime you need a mental boost or when you remember something that you would like to add

2. Pick one or two that you will do in the next few days as a reward to yourself for the tasks you will accomplish today.

If you can't think of 100 things at this moment, even better. Because that means you can spend all your mental time coming up with more. Instead of thinking about upcoming bills on your ride home tonight, come up with more things you love to do. Instead of thinking about being angry at the kids for leaving their jacket in the middle of the floor, come up with more things you love to do.

The most important part of this exercise is not the actual list mind you, but the exercise of consciously redirecting your thoughts to positive things as opposed to negative. Retraining your brain, if you will.

So go now and write your list. Change your negative thoughts and thereby your negative vibrations right now. You might be surprised at the difference in the way that you feel from such a simple process.

Happy Creating!

Law of Attraction - Sometimes When Life Gets Too Crazy It is Time To "Just Float"

It's funny how sometimes a line from a movie can stick with you practically forever.

Like "Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli" from The Godfather. My guy friends have sometimes found the strangest circumstances to pull that line out and while I admit it is usually pretty funny, I would never admit it to them. I usually just give them the old eye roll.

One of my favorite lines from a movie and one that I personally use all the time is "Just Float."

I heard it one of my all time favorite holiday movies Home For The Holidays. A great Thanksgiving movie that makes you feel better knowing that you are not the only one who has to deal with the crazy relatives during the holiday season.

The main character is played by Holly Hunter who is having a really bad week.

She loses her job, stupidly kissed her boss, finds out her teenage daughter is planning on having sex for the first time while she will be away, catches a horrible cold and to top it all off has to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with her off-the-wall parents. It is not one of her better weeks.

Just as she is about to completely lose it, her teenage daughter gives her some advice when dropping her at the airport.

She reminds her mother of when they went on a tropical vacation together and went snorkeling. She tells her mother to remember how calm and peaceful it was when they were just gently floating among the beautiful tropical fish without a care in the world. She told her mother to remember that feeling when the world seems to be going crazy around her. "Just Float, Remember to Just Float."

I have used that line myself ever since. When I've just gotten off the phone with a customer service agent who refuses to hear what I am saying or my young son who is also very good at blocking me out, I say to myself "Just Float" When I am fighting with some mechanical device that refuses to cooperate or can't make head or tails of instructions that are supposed to be "so easy a child could do it" I tell myself to "Just Float".

I truly believe that we aren't meant to paddle furiously all of the time. Sometimes it is our job to "Just Float". To remain calm; to rise to the surface. To quietly observe; to gain back our perspective. To remain unaffected as life's waves move gently beneath us, until we catch our breath; until an easier way is presented to us.

So the next time you find yourself paddling upstream to the point where you want to scream take a deep breath, exhale and "Just Float."

Happy Creating!

Why You Never Too Old To Start Learning The Law of Attraction

Oprah had a pretty inspiring show on yesterday. I don’t usually watch Oprah because I am usually running around doing something else in the afternoons, but this show was about how to further use The Secret, so out of curiosity I tuned in.

While nothing was said that was too earth shattering or different, there was a very inspiring piece about Louise Hay.

Louise Hay is a best selling author as well as the extremely successful publisher of Hay House books. If you have purchased any best selling Law of Attraction books over the last 10 years or so, you might be very familiar with the name.

Louise didn’t discover the Law of Attraction until she was almost 50 years old. Now at 81 she has accomplished more in 30 years than most people do in their entire lifetimes (not to mention she looks awesome)!

This is a woman who has an extremely difficult upbringing. Her childhood was unstable and impoverished, and her teen years were marked by abuse.

She went through a divorce after 14 years of marriage and when later in life she was diagnosed with cancer, she put her philosophies into practice and instead of using surgery or drugs developed an intensive program of affirmations, visualization, nutritional cleansing and psychotherapy. Within six months she was cancer free.

In 1984 she published her book titled You Can Heal Your Life based on her own experiences and included the information she talked about in her work shops. It explains how our beliefs and ideas about ourselves are often the cause of our emotional problems and physical maladies and how, by using certain tools, we can change our thinking and our lives for the better.

It reached the New York Times bestseller list and stayed there for 13 consecutive weeks.

To date, over 35,000,000 copies of the book have been sold. But she didn’t stop there. She then became the head of Hay House , a prosperous corporation that sold more than ten million books and tapes since its inception. It includes authors such as Wayne Dyer, Doreen Virtue, among others. This was a venture she started in her living room.

She then proceeded to start the Hay Foundation and The Louise L. Hay Charitable Fund, two non-profit organizations established by Louise that support many diverse organizations, including those dealing with AIDS, battered women, and other challenged individuals in our society.

Now at 81 years old, she had just come out with her first movie release titled, You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie.

So let’s do a quick rundown shall we?

Unstable and poor childhood
Abused as a teenager
Divorced after 14 years of marriage
Diagnosed with Cancer (this occurred later in life however)

Learns about the Law of Attraction at age 50

Starts training in a ministerial program
Becomes a popular speaker at the church and starts counseling clients
Lectures at workshops on loving ourselves and healing our lives
Cures herself of cancer through alternative means
Publishes her own New York Times Bestseller and sells over 35,000,000 copies
Forms “The Hayride” , a famous support group for people with AIDS
Starts her own publishing house with some of the greatest Law of Attraction writers today
Starts two non-profit organizations in her name
Contributes tons of articles to newspapers and magazine articles
Appears on television around the world
Has a monthly column titled “Dear Louise” that appears in more than 50 publications around the world
At 81 years old, releases her first-ever film on her life and work You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie

So, if you ever had a single doubt about all the different ways the Law of Attraction could work for you, or had a moments hesitation about how old you are when you are beginning to learn it, look to this awesomely inspiring woman.

It is never too late. Think about it. Isn’t even just one day lived in complete peace worth it? Now just imagine doing it for the rest of your lifetime.

Happy Creating!

How Two Great Lines From A Holiday Movie Can Help Put Your Life Into Perspective

There is a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday movie out titled Home for the Holidays. Directed by Penny Marshall and starring Holly Hunter and at least 8 other great movie stars, I consider it a classic and am surprised it is not played as often around Thanksgiving as the movie A Christmas Story is played at Christmas time.

The story is about a woman going home on the Thanksgiving holiday and having to deal with her crazy family as well as all the chaos going on in her life.

Two scenes from the movie really stick with me; not only during the holidays, but truly all year long. I find myself using them time and time again during stressful times.

The first is a scene when Holly Hunter’s character asks the guy she is interested in how he does it. How he keeps so calm when life is so filled with chaos? He answers by singing a line from a Diana Krall song; “ I pick myself up, dust myself off..and start all over again.” She is so impressed with that thought that she sings it to herself as well. I find myself often singing that line to myself when I find myself hitting one of life’s “brick walls”.

The second scene I think about often is when Holly’s teenage daughter gives her own advice to her mother before she leaves for her stressful trip.

She reminds her mother of when they went on a tropical vacation together and went snorkeling. She tells her mother to remember how calm and peaceful it was when they were just gently floating among the beautiful tropical fish without a care in the world. She told her mother to remember that feeling when the rest of her world starts driving her nuts. “Just Float.”

I love “Just Float”. I use it all the time. When I’ve just gotten off the phone with a customer service agent who refuses to hear what I am saying or my young son who is also very good at blocking me out, I say to myself “Just Float” When I am fighting with some mechanical device that refuses to cooperate or can’t make head or tails of instructions that are supposed to be “so easy a child could do it” I tell myself to “Just Float“.

I truly believe that sometimes we aren’t meant to paddle all of the time. Sometimes it is our job to “Just Float”. To remain calm; to rise to the surface. To quietly observe; to gain back our perspective. To remain unaffected as life’s waves move gently beneath us, until we catch our breath; until an easier way is presented to us.

So the next time you find yourself paddling upstream to the point where you want to scream take a deep breath, exhale and “Just Float.”

Till Tomorrow and Happy Creating!

What is Your Financial Set Point?

Creating money isn’t difficult. There are literally millions of ways on this Earth to create money, and probably millions more that haven’t even been discovered yet. So why does it seem so many have a problem creating more of it in their lives?

If you have been trying in vain to create more money in your life, but can’t seem to get past a certain point, it is time to figure out exactly what your Financial Set Point is.

A Financial Set Point is a subconscious number (or ceiling) you have set in your mind as the amount of money you deserve or are entitled to and usually can’t get past.

For example, say a person makes about $50,000 a year. He or she has been making this amount for awhile and consider themselves pretty comfortable with it. Without even realizing it, they have made this their financial set point. Then one day they decide they want more than that. But by being unaware of that unconscious ceiling, no matter what they do, they can’t seem to break through that limited amount. So, now they get a new job for $75,000 a year, but suddenly within a few months that job folds, or the roof on their house goes and it costs them exactly $25,000, or they unexpectedly need to buy a new car or one of a million things happen that will somehow cost them that extra amount of money.

Without even realizing it, they are sabotaging themselves to keep ending up back at that $50,000. You will even hear them comment that no matter what they do they can’t ever seem to get anywhere. This is because they have unconsciously set this financial ceiling and the law of attraction being what it is, will ensure that they keep living it out time and time again.

The Law of Attraction is the Universal law that states you will receive what you think about and are focused on. If you are so used to having a certain amount of money and never consciously decide to change that amount in your mind, the Universe will bend over backwards to make sure that your “old” set point keeps being reached.

Think of the many stories you have heard about people who unexpectedly came across a lot of money due to an inheritance, a surprisingly successful endeavor or even the winning of a lottery. Then, in time, you find out that due to bad investments, unexpected expenses, the hiring of unscrupulous people, whatever the case may be -- they ended up back where they started financially. This is no “accident”. Even though they might have had the physical money for awhile, mentally they still considered themselves worth the same “locked in” amount. You can look at the opposite side of this example as well. Take Donald Trump for instance. Here is a man who must have a financial set-point of at least a billion dollars. Because regardless of the rough times he went through, times he was even hundreds of millions of dollars in debt, he managed it turn it all around and brought himself back up to his own financial set point of being a billionaire! In his mind, anything less is unacceptable.

So the question to ask yourself is this; what is your financial set-point? Do you seem to keep ending up with the same amount in your bank account year after year? When you have experienced an unexpected increase in money, has something always happened to bring you back to that mark? Do you constantly focus on your money going out and calculating what you have left as opposed to focusing on more money coming in and your account constantly growing? What is the most you have ever had in your bank account and how long did it last?

Within just a few minutes of analyzing your financial past, it is usually pretty easy to figure out what your own financial set-point is.

So now that you know what your set point is, what do you do?

Well the first thing to do is to decide to consciously change it. Decide what you want your new set point to be and commit yourself to knowing that it has to happen. Imagine it, feel it, write it down. State to the Universe here and now that this is the amount you are now worth! State that “obviously $50,000 doesn’t do it for me anymore – so my new set point is $200,000!” Tape it up somewhere where you can see it every day. Say to yourself everyday “O.K. how am I going to make this $200,000? What if I tried this? What if I tried that? You go to a store and see a scratch- off ticket with $200,000 as the grand prize. That’s the exact number you have been thinking of and it jumps right out at you – so play the dollar to win it.

You have to remember that Universe will happily bring you whatever you want simply because you stated that you wanted it and kept your focus on receiving it. Universe really doesn’t care how much you want or even why. It will just as easily bring you a million dollars as it will bring you a penny. Money is only energy as is everything else and Universe has no preferences as to the amount that you ask for.

So do you want $200,000 or even $20,000,000? Whatever amount you choose is perfect! Now make this your new financial set point and refuse to accept anything less. Mentally act as if this is your new net worth and anything less is not an option. Then keep your eyes open for any and all possible ways Universe is finding to bring it to you. Jump into opportunities that a $50,000 a year set point person wouldn’t attempt, but a $200,000 set point person would do with excitement.

The Law of Attraction is a universal law. It has to do its job – now you just simply do yours and decide exactly what it is you want and allow it to come to you.

Happy Creating!

If You Want To Remain Positive, Watch What You Watch

O.K. I am about to start this article with a shocking statement. I don't ever watch the news or read the newspaper. Whew! -- There I said it!

I used to -- every day. I would watch at least one full hour of news on television and read at least one full newspaper. I didn't want to miss out on a single current important news story.

Then again, those were also the days I walked around worried about everything in the world I could do nothing about. The days I would go into work cranky, or snap at my husband after work. The days I wondered why I found it so hard to remain positive and upbeat like all of the Law of Attraction books I had been reading back then were telling me to be.

That was before I realized how much of an effect that negative people and news could have on my entire mental outlook.

It is not just enough for us to only focus on the negative thoughts that go through our minds if we want to learn how to effectively use the Law of Attraction. It is just as important that we are conscious of the people who surround us, and the information we take in on a conscious and subconscious basis.

Now I know this may be hard for a lot of people to digest. I've even had people say something to the effect of "People like you are the reason why the country is the way it is today. Not being properly informed of what is going on in the world is being totally irresponsible."

While on the outside I accept the criticism with a smile and an "everyone is entitled to their own opinion" look, on the inside I am actually incredulous and laughing.

First of all, what is printed in the media is not even close to what is really going on in the world today! By the time a story has passed through the filter of what our government will allow it to print, the political party slant given to it depending on the news organization that is putting it out, the frequent errors of journalists regarding the facts, and the dramatization of the headlines and lead-ins created by the publishers in order to outsell their competitors, the real story does not even resemble what the "unbiased" truth is.

Maybe once upon a time, but not anymore.

Secondly, if I am the one who is going to control and create a peaceful life for myself and my family, I am aware that one of the first things that needs to go is the fear factor.

Fear is a great motivator used by others to get what they want. And there are certain groups that wield it well. Like the IRS, our current government administration, the drug companies, the television news shows and all print media; they dedicate all of their resources into feeding into our fears in order to get us to do or buy what they want.

Ever catch one of those lead ins for the nightly news? Something like "Is the dinner you are eating right now killing your family?! Tune in tonight at 11:00 to find out!" Heck by 11 o'clock my family could already be dead.

Then there are the drug company commercials that start with "did you know 1 out of every 3 people will suffer from this in their lifetime? Or 1 out of 2 men are diagnosed with this? According to them, what are the chances that you are not someday going to have to end up on one of those lists?

And of coarse there are the depression commercials. I get depressed just listening to them. The low drawling sympathetic voice asking if you are tired, feeling overwhelmed, having trouble concentrating...you might be suffering from depression. Well if I wasn't before, I certainly am now after hearing your commercial.

When I first started really understanding how the Law of Attraction worked, these news stories and ads got me angry. The power of suggestion is strong, and it angered me that they could possibly be making many people ill just subjected them to these subconscious fears on a daily basis; all in order to draw ratings and customers.

Until I realized the simple solution was to just not watch anymore. I decided to experiment and give it a break for a few weeks. I would pop in dvd's like The Secret or What The Bleep while I was getting ready in the morning for background noise instead of the news. I would listen to inspirational tapes instead of news reports on the radio and I would go to inspirational websites every morning while having coffee, instead of reading the newspaper.

I can't tell you the miraculous difference it made! Where I used to walk out of the house depressed and fearful at the 8 horrible news stories I just heard, I now found myself walking out feeling great and optimistic after hearing a dvd tell me for an entire half hour that I can be or create anything I want to!

The one fear I had when I first gave up the news, was that I might actually miss out on a news report that was important and could effect me personally. Such as a food or toy recall, traffic accident causing backups, etc. But I found to my delight that Law of Attraction being what it is, if there was something I needed to be made aware of, Universe found a way for me to hear about it. Be it from a co-worker or the man at the deli. A friend or family member. Sometimes even an email. Universe always made sure (and still does of coarse) that I somehow found out about anything that might concern me directly.

What little thrill bumps that always gives me in itself!

What started out as an experiment has now become my new way of life. And I can honestly say I don't miss a single minute of it. Instead of being glued to the set when the news comes on nowadays, I find myself jumping for the remote to change it immediately. I don't want to be afraid anymore. I want to create a peaceful and positive life.

So why don't you give it a try? Even for as little as 2 weeks and watch the difference it can make in your life. See how much calmer, confident and better you feel when you constantly feed yourself positive messages instead of negative ones. I'm willing to bet you won't want to go back either!

Happy Creating!

Using the Law of Attraction Through The Virtual Reality Process

"Everything is about thought. Everything is about vibration. Everything is about the way you feel. Practice scenarios that feel good--and never mind reality. Reality is only a brief moment in time that you keep repeating." Abraham Hicks.

If you really want to know how to attract what you desire in life, you will find there is no easier way to do so than to take the quote above to heart.

Practicing Scenarios also known as the Virtual Reality Process is an exercise where you actively imagine what you want to have in your life as opposed to being focused on any lack you might be experiencing right now.

If there is something in your current experience that you are dissatisfied with, it is only due to past negative thoughts that you have had about the subject that brought it about.

Now you can spend days, weeks, even months thinking about where you got those limiting beliefs from, but the truth is, it doesn’t matter. All that matters is what you think about from here on in. The past is over, it means nothing…let’s start from here. This moment of NOW is where all of your power is.

So NOW it is time to focus on what you do want to have. Close your eyes and imagine what it is you are wanting in your life. Actively see, but more importantly feel what it is like to have these things.

For instance, say you are having a problem with money. You’re currently worried about it quite often. You get a knot in your stomach when you open the bills or the credit card statements. You cringe anytime you have to buy something unexpectedly and so on. As long as your focus is constantly on lack of money it is not hard to see what tomorrows experience with money is going to be.

So now let’s go into your Virtual Reality. Decide to imagine that you have ten million dollars right now sitting in your bank account. (Hey it’s your virtual reality – it can be as much as you want!) How does that feel? Do you feel relief, satisfaction, gratefulness, even giddiness? So now what you do with it first? Pay off all the bills? How would that feel? Wouldn’t you write out those checks with glee? Maybe even with the attitude of “HA! Never have to hear from you again!” to your creditors? What are you going to buy? A new car, new house, a new big screen television? How does that feel? How does it feel to be able to buy anything you want? Imagine going into the car showroom, taking a tour of your new house with your very grateful real estate agent who is going to make a great commission from you, imagine looking at the best televisions in the store. How does it feel? Really get into it. The sights, the sounds, most importantly how you feel physically and mentally. (Feeling plays a huge part in the transition.)

Now there have been times when people have explained to me that sometimes after this process they feel a little letdown. For instance, “you know that sounds great and all, but then when “reality” hits me again and I really can’t pay the bills I feel even worse!”

And while of coarse I can understand where they are coming from at first, I explain to them that there is something much bigger going on here. You see the more you focus on this new reality, the faster it really will be on your way to you.

You see, you get what you think about. It is called the Law of Attraction because that is exactly what it is – a universal law! The more often you do this virtual reality and keep your thoughts on the things you do want to experience as well as feel the feelings that go with it, the quicker universe actually brings it to you because it is now working on this higher vibration. So if you have a fear about doing virtual reality exercises because you are going to feel bad when “reality” hits, you must keep reminding yourself that every time you do do these exercises you new reality is being set in motion faster.

So pay the bills you can pay today (even if it brings on a slightly negative feeling) and then as soon as you are done, immediately go into your $10,000,000 virtual reality. When you are driving your car imagine you have ten million dollars and could drive to almost any store you want to buy anything you desire. When you are washing dishes, running errands, going to and from work, keep imagining how it feels to be a millionaire. Say to yourself “Even though I could afford to hire someone to do these things, I do them myself because it feels good to me. Or I like keeping myself “real” even though I am this rich.” Whatever makes you feel better, because quite frankly, whatever makes you feel better is where the vibrational action is!

Happy Creating!

Manifestation Exercise #8 - Tapping Into Your Higher Self

This exercise is designed to remind you of who you really are. A different kind of meditation technique if you will, to help you get more used to connecting with your Higher Self on a daily basis and to get in touch with the loving, peaceful being that you really are, as opposed to the false identity your ego is trying to convince you that you are. .

It only takes about 5 minutes but the effects can be everlasting.

The first thing you need to do is close your eyes. Now imagine the higher loving part of you takes one giant step backwards out of your body and rises about two feet above you. (as if you were standing at the bottom of a staircase facing forward and there was a person directly on the step above you)

Now envision this absolutely non judgmental being smiles down at the top of your head and puts their hands on your shoulders.

This higher loving self has been with you since the beginning of all time. It absolutely loves you unconditionally. It is never angry with you. It is never critical. It understands every decision you have every made and the reason why you made it.

It laughs at your antics; the funny things you do. It smiles in loving encouragement as you stumble your way through things, having no doubt you will find the solution as soon as you look in the right direction.

This higher being is All That Is. While you may sometimes forget your connection, it never does. It knows every life you have ever lived and every one that you will in the future. It sees the overall picture. While your ego self might not know why you were supposed to meet a particular person today or be in a certain place at a certain time, this higher self knows exactly why. Knows exactly the sequence of events that are going to stem from it that will bring you what you are wanting.

There is nothing for you to ever have to say or do to earn its love and guidance. It is there unconditionally and always. It sees you for the perfection that you are and can be called on at anytime to help remind you of it. It has a greater love for you than any human on this planet is capable of. It is a love bigger than any parent, child, spouse or partner can give you all combined. You are never alone in this world and will never lack the feeling of being loved when you are reminded that this self is always with you.

Now imagine that this higher being gives your shoulders a gentle loving squeeze before stepping back down and back into your body. A reminder that it is always with you. Within You. It is never floating in the skies above out of reach - never outside of you - but within you always.

Now that it is back inside your body release any other thoughts that might be running through your head and focus on its love. Imagine now that the same being that was behind you a moment ago is now in the back of your head. You can actually feel a tingle when you think about it. It is still smiling, still loving. Always peaceful and calm. You might start to feel the tingle run down the back of your neck or your back as you acknowledge this awesome beings presence. This is you - your true self.

Try this exercise a few times a day the first days that you use it. Eventually you will not need to imagine your higher self stepping in and out. Eventually you will feel the tingle and knowingness in the back of your head always quite naturally.

Eliminate your thoughts and just focus on this loving, all-knowing being back there smiling and encouraging. Silently listen to anything it might tell you. Know it will happily answer all of your questions if you take your ego thoughts away and give it silent space to come in.

Remember that it always sees the bigger picture. It is never worried about silly little things like bills, or work or troubled relationships. It is so big and so knowing that those little things are nothing but a tiny little speck in comparison to how big you really are and this part of you knows it with certainty. It is always peaceful and when you focus on it you can feel the peace and hear the words "That is what you are worried about, you silly thing? We are so much bigger than that."

After awhile you will find that you can call on this feeling at will. The minute any tensions might arise you will learn to immediately go to the back of your head and feel the deep peaceful feeling inside and you too will remember the bigger picture.

Happy Creating!
