it was a very chill day that day. I didn't take much photographs but we went to our first shopping mall on that trip to Fisketorvet Copenhagen mall. We mostly did a little shopping for our families and friends back at home. Took a long train ride, slept a little and then chilled by the pier you see in the pictures.

Also, my first time trying out Kombucha. It actually tasted quite pleasant but I couldn't make myself drinking it when I am able to see little particles in the bottle. Knowing that I am drinking little particles of fermented 'healthy bacteria'. sry, i just cant...

hello new apartment. We took this apartment just cause it's a lot closer to the airport when we get back. Our favourite area was the living room.

not as cosy as our first apartment but this was good enough.

Day 8 | 29th August 2017

Finally our first mini adventure to the wild! Well, not really that wild la. Decided to hike up Mønsklint (pronounced as moons - klint. Learnt it from the sassy ticketing guy. haa), to check out some view.

Sorry guys, I'm forgetting a lot of details on where we took everything. But basically we took the train from the train station and then took another bus that goes there.

Day 9 | 30th August 2017

It was a hard morning for me as I stayed up late the past two nights to work on my assignments. And still woke up early to finish it up. I was tired. But I finished it anyway. Note to self: Always finish up assignments first before going on holiday. I stayed in the apartment in the morning till about noon while she went out to buy some stuff as it was also our final night in Copenhagen.

Of course we had to visit our favourite thai place on our very last night.

Day 10 | 31st August 2017

Copenhagen - Singapore

And then just like that our trip was over. The chillest and most rejuvenating trip ever. I've never felt so well rested on a holiday like this one before (besides the few sleepless nights because of my assignments). Also, I did also notice that there weren't many asian tourists which was odd but nice.

Transiting in Dubai airport and finally having time to eat. We tried shake and shack. I love itt! The patty was soo good, plus it's grain fed. It tastes fresh. (and also quite pricey but worth it)

Long overdued trip to copenhagen

Day 0 | 21st August 2017

Singapore - Dubai - Copenhagen

I know, I know. I'm the worst blogger ever. But lucky for me, I am probably the only active reader on my own blog. haaa

Anyway, here's the long awaited (or perhaps nobody's even waiting) update on my trip to Copenhagen.

If you don't like pictures or reading, do check out my Copenhagen video I uploaded on Youtube.

We always had our annual trips and in 2017, we decided to have a really chill trip. We were kinda lazy to plan an elaborate itinerary, so we decided on Copenhagen. Which was also where she went on exchange during her uni days. Thus, making it more familiar.

Honestly, I didn't do any research at all. The only hard thing I did was booking for my flight. She did the rest.

We took Emirates and this time round, we took the flight together. Usually for our other trips, we're always meeting straight at the destination. But yay! No solo flightss

Had a 2 hour-ish layover in Dubai in which the bus from the plane to the main terminal took so long, by the time we reached the terminal, our gate was already opened. Times like these when I'm thankful for our direct aerobridge connectors to the plane in our airport.

Day 1 | 22st August 2017

Denmark, Copenhagen

We finally arrived Copenhagen the next day. We were stuck at the airport for quite awhile cause someone didn't get her luggage. lol. It was probably forgotten in Dubai perhaps.

Anywho, we took the train to our AirBnb apartment as it was quite near to our place. Cause this was last year, I kinda forgot the details of the place. Though I have a memory of use having to carry our luggages up the staircase to go across another train. or was it for the second apartment...

Presenting to you our wonderful apartment:

After the long flight, we cleaned ourselves up, had some rest and made our way to fill our tummies. Of course, we had thai food. But daymm, it was soo good.

The first day, we didn't do anything much. Basically just explored our area and of course, got some groceries.

Day 2 | 23rd August 2017

The next day I woke up feeling so rejuvenated as ever. I woke up so early without even an alarm clock. Maybe also partly cause we slept early too. We were probably still a little jet lagged from our flight.

It was such a lovely morning, with the cool breeze from outside.

We then walked around the town area called the Nyhavn Harbour. And of course we ate Thai again. Though this time we were visiting a restaurant that my cousin frequently visited when she was on exchange.

Day 3 | 24rd August 2017

I woke up early as always the next day. Had my breakfast and started working on my assignments. Yes, you heard that right. Assignments. I was technically still on school term, though I had some assignment deadlines to meet.

1. Charlottenlund

We then went to a beach area in Charlottenlund. It was chill. We sat there for awhile. Took some photos and then decided to walk to a pizza place.

1. Pizzeria Costa Smeralda

An impromptu plan to eat pizza, before it started pouring. There weren't any seats there besides the one bench right outside the store. Lucky us.

can't remember what she took, but it was good too. and yes, we had a box each. don't judge k, we were hungry.

after the pizza, we went over to a nearby Ikea. and then decided to walk back to our apartment and cut through this park. it was a nice but also terrible idea. Good cause the view was nice. terrible cause at some point, there were soo much flies, i just couldn't deal. it was to a point where i was paranoid that i might breathe in some of the flies. but really, it was alot.....

Day 4 | 25th August 2017

Good morning!!

Featuring our bedhead faces. The night before we decided to get some shots to try in the morning.

Day 5 | 26th August 2017

I always love apartments with a washing machine. We always wash most of our clothes before we get back home in Singapore, so that it would make unpacking such a breeze.

1. Design Museum Denmark

We decided to check out a museum. And a wonderful thing about it is that it's free admission for those under 26. It pays to be young. The museum mainly showed about architectural stuff, chairs, fashion..etc.

2. Amalienborg Palace

From the museum, we then walked over to the palace where all the prince and princesses live at.

3. The Little Mermaid

As you can tell from the picture, it's a very highly visited attraction site. There was a story behind it I read online but I forgot. oh well, you guys can just google ya.

We then took a free city boat ride to head our way back to our apartment.

Hi friendsss & families!

oh how I've really missed this space. Maybe partly the reason why I haven't been sane lately.

But omg, first post of the year. How rude of me. Okay I promise for more updates and also my 2017 timeline. Still not too late righttt, (even though already mid year liao le).

Now that I'm back, also mainly because exams are over, I thought I'd finally share and update about my life before it gets too much and then I get overwhelmed and I end up not doing anything but then feels bad for future me should I want to look back but there's no back to look at.

While I get cranking with my updates, here's a video of my trip to Khao Yai, Thailand last year. I will probably have a lot of updates from last year, way too much actually.

Hi guys! It's been awhile. Thought I would just pop by and say hi.

In case ya'll didn't know (which I highly doubt so), I recently went to Copenhagen. It was a really chill and much needed trip. Chill vibes everyday. I did a short reel of that trip. And of course, the full video will be up soon. Once I'm done with my exams, I'll start updating the blog and my videos again.

Life's been good so far. Really good in fact. Minus the part where I'm getting broke everyday. I should start eating salad everyday. Wait, scratch that, no. Salads are expensive in singapore. Grass lah, can.

Okay, time for me to get back to work. I have a revision class tonight and some e-lectures to finish up watching.

BANDUNG DAY 3 & 4!

Day 3 | 28th April 2017

West Java, Bandung, Indonesia

On Day 3, we decided to visit the West side of Bandung. But first, we had a stop over for a pretty good'ol lunch before arriving to our first destination.

1. Lunch at Saung Andir

My fav drink to get in Indonesia is definitely the Avocado juice. Or they call it Jus Alpukat

2. Kawah Putih (White Crater)

Visited the white crater lake which makes up Mount Patuha. Did a little wiki research and apparently the crater is 2430m above sea level. hmm interests....which explained why it was kinda chilly when we were there. It was a little unfortunate that it was raining on that day (which explains our colourful umbrellas which we had to rent) but nevertheless them umbrellas makes for a good prop in pictures.

The colour of the water reminded me of the blue lagoon spa in Iceland. ahh i miss that place. But the water in bandung was not for swimming. Tho I did touch the water & it was not as hot as I expected.

oh & we were given masks (which we had to purchase also lol) due to the high sulphuric content in the air, though personally I felt like the smell was rather faint.

but yes, I was legitly cold. Thank you 12.90 uniqlo fleece sweater for keeping me warm.

There was also another point of view of the kawah putih from a slightly higher point

& off to our next destination!

3. Patenggang Lake, Ciwidey-Rancabali

This location was still quite nice and mildly chilly. We then decided to take a boat ride to another mini island called Situ Patengan? I don't know man, maybe it's the same island but yes we took the boat across about a 10-15 min ride.

There were kayaks too! but imagine if we capsized...nope not good

& we arrived at the other 'island' that i mentioned about. The island was strange and empty. So many tourist shops but noone....I think we were the only tourists.

Went to a store and met little Dali. It seems like I was more excited than him to take a photo

and nearby the lake area there's this bridge leading up to this huge treehouse which has a restaurant in it

while I'm not sure what the concept is but it does look kinda nice

4. Cimanggu Hot Springs, Ciwidey

In the evening, we decided to take a dip in a hot spring. Once again recommend by our guide, Pak Kurniawan whom was once again more excited to visit the place more than us lol.

The hot spring is actually a pool but wow the water was really really hot. It must have been very hot since the area itself is quite chilly. Though a word of caution if you were to visit this place, wear water shoes in the water as the floors are..um...mossy...and green...

Out of all the hotsprings we went to, while all the water was hot all the same, I still preferred the very first one we went to in terms of ambience and cleanliness.

after that we had a late dinner at a bakso store and went back to our hotel

Day 4 | 29th April 2017

Bandung, Indonesia

Day 4 was our chill day where we went to the malls for abit of shopping, mostly for souvenirs and other stuff. I apparently didn't take any photos for the last two days, so I took some screen grabs from videos that I took which was of course of food.

Another place our local guide recommended us. I thought the food was just meh.

Bandung to Singapore

Our last day of Bandung, cause we had an early flight so yup theres nothing much done on that day. Though I love walking to the plane. Very feeling feeling. I know theres a term for the roads...just can't remember what.

BANDUNG DAY 2!

Day 2 | 27th April 2017

Lembang, Bandung, Indonesia

Hiii, I'm back with day 2 of Bandung! On the second day, we decided to go to the farmhouse, which is like a mini zoo. Welll, it was nice partly cause of the cooling weather bandung has. Singapore needs to be as cool as bandung.

also, I would like to mention that all my photos were taken by my new Canon G7X. hehe, in case future me is curious.

oh and bandung is very famous for their satay Kelinci. Kelinci is rabbit. Yes rabbit.

Mum and the brother tried to fool me and said they bought mutton. But of course they bought the rabbit satay. & no, I couldn't fathom the idea of eating one so I didn't eat it. May god cleanse their sinful souls for eating those bunnies.

In the farmhouse, they also had an area where there were locks just like in Korea.

and then suddenly they had like a french/victorian looking kinda shops. yes, I was very confused with the theming once again.

2. Floating Market, Lembang

We then went to this floating market where I would say it is kinda inspired by the bangkok floating market? While the stores were on the little boats, there were floating on a fixed location. So we didn't have to take a boat to buy food.

I thoroughly enjoyed the greenery there were in the area

also, another confusion. Why got Japan and korean theming?? There were people dressed in Hanboks with korean music

we also met a ton of hungry goldfishes. very satisfying to feed them. I loved dropping one fish food at a time.

3. Dusun Bambu, Lembang

What the location basically means is that, it's an area of bamboo. Though because my malay is not very good, you should just take what I explained with a grain of salt. Or maybe a tablespoon....

But yes, I really loved the coolness of the location as it is slightly higher up than our previous locations.

BANDUNG!! Day 1

Day 1 | 26th April 2017

Bandung, Indonesia

Hi guys, I've been very busy lately and now that I'm finally done with exams and work, I finally have time to do the things I love. (which also includes doing nothing)

So yes, I recently went to Bandung! It was my first time there and also my very first trip out of singapore in 2017. Yea, I started my travels a little late this year. Nevertheless it was a nice and short getaway.

1. Flight with Airasia

For someone whom travels quite abit, I'm surprised that I never took airasia before. For a short journey about 2 hours, not too shabby.

Hello Bandung!

2. Arriving Bandung

If there's one thing about Indonesia I love, it has got to be the amount of drivers available to drive you around. Though I did not like the immigration process which consisted of hundreds of us squeezing in the small area with no queue control. Oh well, that can't be helped.

Anyway, the dad picked out a random guy as our driver for that day (which actually turned out to be our driver for the entire trip, lol), he drove us to have lunch and went to our hotel.

Oh and did you know that Bandung is really famous for it's crazy traffic jams. and they weren't kidding. Even though our hotel was just nearby, it took us slightly longer due to the traffic and the one way road.

he took us to eat Nasi Padang at a local restaurant in which I don't know the name of the store. But the food was great! I love anything with the green chilli, or so they call it 'Cabe hijau'. I was also intrigued by how their Nasi Padang was laid out. Basically they lay out every dish and then you pay for what you eat. Kinda like in a Sushi restaurant.

3. Hilton Hotel

Since the hotel was having quite a good deal on Expedia, we decided to try it out. I honestly have never tried Expedia before, though it's cause my mum was the one who made the booking. I guess it's safe to say that we had no issues with our booking. And the hotel was pretty niceee

4. Sari Ater Hot Springs

I lovee hot springs. While I didn't have extremely high expectations for this hot springs, I was pleasantly surprised by how hot it actually was. It would say quite comparable to the Reykadalur geothermal stream I had in Iceland. So yes it was very hot and very nice.

If I remember correctly, this place is 24 hours lol. So to avoid crowd visit this place at night. There will also be some masseurs hanging around the area to give you a massage if you need one.

My mum decided to do a feet massage for an hour. I think it was $10?

Though one thing I noticed about the water was that it made our eyes sting a little

Our driver then brought us to eat Sundanese food. Once again I have no idea where this place is lol. But yes, it was good.

Singapore Canoe Federation

Hiii, finally I have decided to update about my life. Actually there's too many things to update but I'll keep posting one at a time. At least before I get busy with my exams.

I recently I signed myself up for a two day one star kayaking course along with two other of my cousins. Out of the few organisations that had this certification, we settled with SCF, in which I do not regret and one that I would recommend to everyone else. Equipment wise is a lot better and training is quite thorough even though it is just for one star.

With this certification, we will be able to kayak all over Singapore in a single closed deck kayak and with more access to certain areas. Whereas with no cert, it's a really really small area where you can kayak.

With that being said, on day 1 we already had to do a life-saving drill where in groups of three, there will be a victim, a main rescuer and an assistant rescuer. And yes, the victim has to capsize in which I was very very anxious about. Our teams were picked out by random and i got paired with this whiny lady. wah, i cannot this kind of people.

On day 2, the whiny lady and another person (ahem, guess who) didn't come. I was teamed up with another team which of course there had to at least be one annoying person right? I was with a rather decent guy and an annoying uncle. The uncle was very demanding which was very ironic since he couldn't do any of the tasks he told me to do right. Though by the end of the day I felt smug when he told me ' wah, you can do it better than me.' Of course la uncle, I may be small but I am stronger than you. Also, a funny memory; when I was the main rescuer for this uncle, I didn't think of asking his name (in which I found unnecessary since he wasn't respecting me), I called him 'Victim' instead which I had so much joy ordering the victim to help me save him.

Needless to say, it was quite a good experience taking up the course in which I would still highly recommend.

Mount Fuji & Disneyland!!!

Day 9-10 | 19-20th July 2016

Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station, Japan

Finally the main highlight of my Japan trip: Climbing Mount Fuji

I had this idea before I came to Japan but it wasn't a steady yes. So going to Mount Fuji itself on that day was surreal. It was our first time climbing a real moutain. Well technically we did climb a real mountain back in Iceland but it was a baby mountain which took us 2 hours to hike up. This was an entirely different climb.

As July was the climbing season, there were quite a lot of people there as well. Our plan was to climb halfway and then descend back down. But the descend never came when we realized there was no route down except for a station that was closer to the summit. Besides going down the same way would've been impossible. At some parts of the trail were slightly steep rocks where we had to channel our inner rock climber (not that I had any in me).

Once we arrived at the 8th Station, seeing as there was a hut there we decided to check if there were any vacancies. There were vacancies so we decided to just rest there and watch the sunrise from there.

As with many others, we started out from the 5th station.

being all excited reminiscing Iceland and having no clue what was ahead of us. hahh

Once again she's in the wrong shoes. But her shoes somehow survived it all

me being weak and resting in the middle of the rocks. It was wise of me to bring panadol. I ate all 4 pills due to the altitude change.

After about 5-6 hours later.....we arrived at the 8th station! Where we decided to settle down and rest for the night.

We tried to sleep but we couldn't. We slept in a hut alongside with probably 30 other hikers in the same room side by side in sleeping bags. Most of them woke up about 2am to hike up the summit to watch the sunrise. I only managed to catch some sleep after all the snorers left.

About 4am, we decided to get up. Have some breakfast and watch the sunrise. But daym, it was freezing!! It was my first time watching the sunrise on a mountain actually. So that was pretty nice and worth it

fun fact: if you notice, we were actually wearing slippers from the hut. Too lazy to wear our shoes lol.

and since all the hikers were gone.....Yup thats where we slept.

after hours of procrastinating and trying to get warm, we finally got back to hiking after like about 12 hours in the hut lol.

finally spotting the light to our darkness! The second last shrine!! Many people liked to leave a coin in between the crevices of the shrine for good luck. We didn't leave any coin.

I couldn't take it anymore. I felt like my sugar levels were depleting (abit drama lah me), so I bought red bull.

It tasted like victory. hahah and also look behind me. Vending machines on the summit of mount fuji?? Wonder how they even brought it up there.

If you came earlier to watch the sunrise, it would be from here. So nice.

Me being me, I stay behind and waited by the rocks. If you zoom in, you'll see me.

I forgot the term it was called.

It was indeed a milestone for both of us.

and then time to descend. The descending route was actually really painful for my toes. This is when the hiking stick would come in handy. When I reached the bottom, I got blisters on my toes. Though it took us alot shorter about 2-3 hours to get back to 5th station.

and finally back down!

It was truly an accomplishment for us. I would definitely do it again. And maybe I'll be more prepared for the next one. Also note to self to bring a charger. I didn't think that there'd be charging points on a mountain. (Technically in the huts)

Day 10 | 20th July 2016

Tokyo Disneyland, Japan

Yes, you did not see wrong on the dates. Because we already pre-booked the tickets for Disneyland, we couldn't change the dates either since we were going home the next day. Right after we descended Mount Fuji, we took the train back to our airbnb (and slept like a pig also). Actually we were lucky that there was a bus straight to Shinjuku from the 5th Station which was less cumbersome for our exhausted bodies. So from there, it was easier to go to our airbnb.

As soon as we reached back, we were so happy to shower. & wow, the amount of sand and dirt covering our shoes were ridiculous. Actually there was alot of rocks and stones in my shoes. Also a little tip from me to you on descending, it would be wise to have a hiking stick when you descend. Because i didn't have any, I had a lot of pressure on my front toes and knees. By the time I reached to the bottom, I was walking funny.

Well anyway, now for Disneyland.

I've always wanted to visit Disneyland. & I finally did. Wish we had more time though. Because of the time constraint, I picked out some of the better rides with the 3 hours we had in the park. Cause also we bought the night tickets and we came late lol. Nevertheless, it was pretty incredible.

I think my favourite ride that we rode was the Pirates of The Caribbean ride. It was probably about a 10 min boat ride with some pretty dope an realistic scenes of fighting in the ocean. So so so cool! I was so impressed, I momentarily forgot that we're in a theme park and not the ocean.

I also loved how short the waiting times for all the rides were. The longest we waited was only 5 minutes, the rest we got in straight away.

The baesan was never interested in Disney but got dragged in by me. hehe. But even she was impressed by the quality of the rides.

Disneyland, we will meet again. The next time, I'll be there for a full day.

& that concludes the end of our trip.
Technically we did go to alot of places but for some reason we didn't take much photos this time round. I didn't get much footage as well, since my camera had some focus issue.

Helloooo! I am back with another yearly timeline. Man how time flies. Before it becomes 2018, I'd better update this now.

I think 2016 had been quite a year, mostly with plenty of new beginnings and self reflections about what I would like to do for the rest of my life. I met a lot of new people from school, work and elsewhere. lol. But I gotta say it's been really interesting listening to stories of people from different walks of life. No matter how short the fleeting companionships I've stumbled upon, I appreciate each and every story I get. And of course I met some of those with such ugly personalities of which I naturally just stay away from.

Well with that being said, I'll share some of the highlights of my year.

January

1. Countdown in Bintan

Some of the highlights of my January were spending the first few moments of the year in Bintan. It was a really chill and much needed short getaway. & we had two countdowns, though we slept through the Sg countdown lol.

2. I left SPH

aww, memories. It was fun while it lasted. Yeah I know, how is this a highlight for the month when I'm leaving a job. It was for me cause it was like a celebration of having had the opportunity to work with some of the best colleagues.

3. Signed up a gym membership with Celebrity Fitness.

It's been a year with them. For some reason, I still love my previous gym more. It wasn't fancy but it fit my schedule and myself. Celebrity fitness has been great but I still miss my kickboxing class.

4. Started University

I thought about it long and hard. & I've decided to get back into school solely for my personal interest. Because of that, I chose to try to be somewhat independent by paying for my own school fees and being responsible for the choice that I have made. I'm in my second year of school. The first year had been okay. Didn't study anything too crazy besides the boring subjects. This semester will be exciting though. I am learning graphics design and 3d modelling!

February

1. Port Dickson

In February I went to Port Dickson for a short getaway. It was a really simple trip where I spent my time swimming, eating and sleeping.

I went to the Art Science Museum! I never go to such artsy stuff but cause got one for one, it triggered my inner aunty mode. It was nice. I like it.

April

1. I didn't eat meat (chicken/beef) for about a month

It was a really interesting and life changing experience as I decided to become a pescetarian. I think maybe cause I felt really moody during that period of time and suddenly decided to do some research on what I ate. And I obtained a theory (may not be scientifically proven) that the meat that we eat had been injected with hormones and when we eat the meat, we ingest the hormones as well thus causing some hormonal imbalance.

It was supposed to be a little experiment for over a week but because I felt pretty good with no meat, I extended it till as long as I could. It may have been a placebo effect (or not) but my mood was drastically lifted during the experimental period. I felt less anxious in general and more happier. Though the one thing that was the hardest part was the social situations I was faced with. While some people accommodated to my new lifestyle, many tried to feed me meat. When these people tried to sway me from my lifestyle, I suddenly understood how it was like being in a vegan/vegetarians' shoes and could not help but labelling these people as the 'devils'.

Devil not in the literal way obviously. One time I went out with a group of friends, told them I stopped eating meat but they ordered a shared meal consisting mainly chicken anyway. & yes, I had to break my experiment for a day because of this. Needless to say, this short little experiment taught me a little more than I bargained for. I am not a pescetarian anymore but I would do this again in a heartbeat & I definitely recommend everyone to try this! Though try at your own risk as it may lead you to disappointment (towards the people around you).

As I was taking a photography module in school, one of our assignments was to take photographs consisting of some design elements. I did a lot of research to look for places with unique designs and patterns. Because of that, I was able to explore and appreciate Singapore's architectures a little more.

May

1. I cut my hair to the shortest that I've ever had

Okay maybe you can't really tell from this image cause my hair prolly already grew a little more. I had my very first concave bob. I had hair strands as short as 5cm in which I found really strange yet surprising.

2. Went for a job interview

As you guys already know, I got the job. The airport job I am currently holding lol.

June

1. My birthday month

Gotta send out a shout out to my friend Derrick whom is always baking birthday cakes for me and countless others. Thanks Derrick!

2. Reunited with the ultimate crew

Meet my poly hommiezz. Yes it's been a while since they last appeared anywhere on my social media feeds and thus, has to be reintroduced as well. It was a good catch up.

July

1. Hari Raya

I normally don't really fancy hari raya (i know i sound like a hater, but i promise i'm not. i just dislike social situations), but 2016's hari raya was slightly different. We finally had a gathering with the full family from my mum's side. It was almost like the old times.

2. Tried rock climbing (like the 2nd time in my life)

The first time I tried rock climbing was in a secondary school camp. I was terrible and weak. I could not even pass the expected line back then. So I promised never to do rock climbing again. Until 2016 when I suddenly got curious about it again to test out how my strength has grown. nope, still as bad as before. But at least I made it to the top. & fyi this was in USS, and omg guyzz its so hard lah for a rock climbing route in a theme park. All the holding thingys were so far apart and very hard for people my height.

While I posted cooler looking photos online.....the picture below is actually the true reality of how I was handling the climb, clinging on to my dear life. I came down sweating buckets with shaking hands. I had never worked my hands and fingers so much in my entire life.

3. Played the park

Yes I know I work there. But I never ever have time or company to play the park as much as I'd like to. I can literally count the number of times I actually played the park with my hands.

4. Went to Japan & climbed Mt Fuji!

Going to Japan was one. But climbing mount fuji??!! It was indeed a milestone for me and it has sparked the inner hiker in me for more future climbs. While rock climbing may not be for me, maybe climbing mountains would be something.

5. Went to my first Uni camp

Forgot to add, and also possibly my last lol. I only went cause one of my colleagues also joined. Back then when I was in Poly, I used to attend so many camps. But daym, I still really hate ice breaking games. This was actually for a cca in school, so I wanted to see how things were like.

I actually really like my group. We were really chill. and I mean really really chill. To the point where we came last in a scavenger hunt cause we were having a long lunch and slowly made our way to our destinations.

but it was fun while it lasted. hahaha. Rekindled with the little camper in me again. But ermagerd the showers and sleeping conditions were kinda bad lol. Tho on the 2nd night when we all finally had our baths, I've been told that I fell asleep with my phone in my hand despite the not so hygenic bed. I was that tired.

also got bitten by so many sand flies. currently still bearing the scars to remember.

August

1. Baesan's Graduation

This girl's grad day. It was really interesting to be in a sea of smart graduates. Meanwhile I also took a pic with the grad robe, just to practice for my future graduation lah.

2. Volunteering

2016 was also filled with volunteering works. I've always wanted to help and give back to the society and to those whom needs it but I never had a chance cause I was probably too anxious to do it alone. But now I think I'm quite okay with being alone.

This was when we helped with Dorcas Home Care to distribute food for the elderly around singapore. It was a good experience.

We also volunteered for Ground Up Initiative where we helped out with some handiwork. I love that place and the community. I felt so much love from the people and what they're standing up for.

We met some incredible people there including a full time farmer. As the place it's own is located near a stream and the foresty area, I was really happy exploring.

September

1. My new job

Remember the interview I went for a couple months back? I got the job and finally started in September. I was supposed to start in June but because of my Japan trip, it got differed to a later date.

I have decided that it will be my final HHN team preview. Been going for this event every year ever since I started working there. I will explain again with a future post.

October

1. Work

It was not much of a social month for me. I spent most of my days working, going to the gym and studying for my exams. It's safe to say that I rejected all social events to focus on school lol.

I received a lot of random visits from parents, friends and etc

2. Yearly Shrekies gathering

Every year we have a chalet gathering. Our group's always expanding with new people every year. and funny thing is that, most of them don't work at shrek anymore lol. It's just me and one other person whom is still working there.

3. YOLO Run

Went for the second run ever with my fellow yogi. It was actually quite fun and very fulfilling. We even had a mass yoga session after the run.

November

1. My dearest cousin got married

Still can't believe my dear cousin is a married woman now. daym, I guess we are getting older.

2. Volunteered for the Purple Parade

I've heard of this parade probably only last year and I've finally decided to volunteer for this great cause.

December

1. I got a new phone!

Yes, after using an iphone for a little more than 2 years and tons of researching, I finally decided to get a huawei phone. I've tried sony, sony ericsson, samsung, iphone. I'm one whom gets bored easily and this phone looks and seems promising for someone like me.

It's been a month with new phone and I actually really love it. It's different, it's bold, it's beautiful. Though I must say, the settings interface is very very similar to OS.

Besides that, I have no other highlights for the month. I had a very chill countdown in bed. So that's that.

As with every year, I like setting up resolutions I can never keep and compare my failures.

My 2016 Resolutions:

Get back into my Yoga grind and be stronger. The Mak Cik in SPH fed me too well, I gained 5 kg throughout my 5 months there. T.T
Cause I still have not found my true Happiness, soo let's try to find Happiness this year.
Decluttering my things
Minimalistic living - To live with as few items as possible.
Relax more

Verdict:

1. Welllll, the yoga I've been going to hasn't been too hard for me. Though I would say I lost the weight I gained from SPH. (& may have gained it back again lol)

2. what true happiness? idk hahah.

3. Yes, that I've been getting rid of things I didn't need.

4. And back to point no.3, I read Marie Kondo's book and tried to be minimalistic. But then realised it takes a little more work then I expected.

5. The irony is that I didn't get to go on trips in 2016 as much as I'd like to. I think the only place I went to was to Japan.

For this year, I've already had some things planned up. Now all that's left is to work towards them. As for the job, I'm thinking of finding a job that is related to my diploma. JAPAN DAY 5 - DAY 6

Day 5 | 14th July 2016

Hakone, Japan

On day 5, we decided to head on down to Hakone to take a cruise along Lake Ashi presumably to have a glimpse of Mount Fuji. hah, nope we didn't see it. There were too many mountains for us to figure it out anyway. But it was a really nice cruise ride.

1. Motohakone Pier
To arrive this pier itself, we had to take a one hour bus journey from Odawara Bus station. I honestly can't remember what bus we took, but you can always check with the staff there. The Motohakone Pier is like the main port for the cruises. So we had to purchase tickets for our cruise to Togendi Pier.

The area the cruise will be covering is along Lake Ashi. Chances of seeing Mount Fuji from the cruise depends on the weather. We were not that lucky with the weather though but I thought it was a really nice windy cruise.

2. Togendi Pier

Another pier where we could stopover and walk around. I actually wanted to go check out the national park, but due to time constraints, we had to cut our trip short. Nevertheless, it was quite nice. I'd still recommend to check it out.

Day 6 | 15th July 2016

Tokyo, Japan

Kyoto → Tokyo → Matsudo

On day 6, it was mostly us moving to another apartment from Kyoto to Tokyo. I did not take much photos on that day besides the room and my food, heh whats new. Anywho, after we settled down for awhile, we explored the area and went to some places.

Matsudo was where our apartment was. I will link the apartment we went to below. I highly recommend the place. The room was really beyond our expectations. It was excellent! There was everything we needed. The owner of the building/apartment also picked us up from the station and walked with us to the apartment which was really nice of her. Though we found out also that the house isn't actually her house. She's working under Airbnb or something like that and technically only tourists would use the apartments.

Some of the places we went were:

Matsudo → Ueno → Akihabara → Ginza → Asakusa → Roppongi

Travelling by train back to our apartment was a little cumbersome where we had to change a few lines and walked abit.

Ueno is a shopping paradise where they sell branded goods for cheaper price. I'm not too sure if they're real or not though.

Akihabara is where the anime stores are and also for electronics. They also strangely enough had a lot of 'Maid cafes'. It's those pretty ladies in aprons serving you in a cafe which god knows what they're truly serving lol.

Ginza is another huge shopping paradise. It's not street shopping but tons of malls to shop from and they also have the flagship Uniqlo with 7 levels.

Asakusa is a food street area selling yes, food. I tried their local food, I'd tell you what it is but I don't know what its called. I think it's rice balls dipped in soy sauce. Would've been nicer if it was less salty lol. Also tried their melon bread. It was okay. Along the food street area itself, there will be the Asakusa temple. Needless to say it was really crowded with tourists.

Our final stop was Roppongi. From the station itself, we saw the Eiffel tower. We walked around the city and then got tired and then went back to our airbnb.

Day 7 and Day 8 was pretty much the same for us, we walked around cities and also went to Shibuya for some shopping. So I shall not update about those two days.

Hi guyss, I'm back! I hope. I've been swamped with school and work lately. Now I'm less busy though mostly busy doing nothing and wasting my days on dramas. I love doing nothing though. I appreciate nothingness.

So, I should at least complete updating about Japan before the year ends.

Day 3 | 12th July 2016

Osaka, Japan

ould It was not much of a touristy day. We mostly walked around the popular shopping areas. I apparently didn't take much nicer photos on that day. #iphoneonly Which would explain the quality and the portrait orientation that also bugs me a little but oh well. I also uploaded my snapchats for that day for my future laughs. haa

Day 4 | 13th July 2016

Kyoto, Japan

Kyoto Station → Kinosaki Onsen Station

We decided to head down to the beach for a swim. It was unfortunate that it was a rather rainy day. Nevertheless, we still got to swim for a little while. Though if you would like to visit, I wouldn't exactly recommend it. For a 2 hour journey to and fro from Kyoto plus about a 20 minute walk to the beach, not exactly worth it in my opinion. Perhaps it was the weather and also there weren't many people there. Probably just us and maybe 2 other more people. It was that empty.

The Purple Parade

You may or may not have heard of this parade, (though I only heard about it last year..oops) I finally found time to help out for the parade as a volunteer. This is the fourth year of them celebrating abilities and supporting inclusion for those with special needs. & yes, my very first time helping out in a relatively large scale event.

As most of the booths were taken up with many volunteers, we then distributed flyers for the carnival events and maps.

We also met a fellow volunteer whom is only 15 years old. So brave of her to put herself out there at such a young age. When I was 15, I was too busy studying in school. A note of advice to younger students in school, study smart & make time for things out of academics.

Even though we weren't much of a big help in the parade, all in all it truly was great to be part of the community in support for this great cause.

Day 0 | 9th - 10th July 2016

Singapore - Vietnam - Japan

hi guysss! Yeah, from my last post of course it took me slightly longer than planned to update my Japan trip. But well here it is!

I had my flight by the cheaper route, so I took Vietnam airlines to Hanoi which took approximately 4 hours & had a 5 hour layover there in which I spent by eating some pho & drank vietnamese coffee.

Day 1 | 10th July 2016

Kyoto, Japan

I may have flown quite alot but I still get nervous when I fly alone and arriving to an airport I've never been before

& das me arriving in Narita Airport~~

It was 7.30am when I arrived. After that, I exchanged for my JR pass (I'll list it at the end of the post on prices and where I purchased mine), we booked for our train via Narita express to Kyoto & our breakfast.

The best part about Japan transports is that you are allowed to eat in them. The shinkansen trains were the best though. Oh & do ensure you give yourself ample time before you book your next train cause the trains will leave on the dot even. We had to run to our first train, with our luggages. That was quite a morning workout.

This was apparently the only picture that I took of the hotel we stayed in. We stayed in APA Hotel. As usual, I'll list more details about the hotel at the end of the post.

Since our hotel was about 10mins walking distance to Kyoto station, we walked there for our lunch as we were starving

I tried soba for the very first time & this was pretty much my staple throughout my japan trip. Cheap & filling. Can't exactly remember how much was this but it was not expensive. For my meal alone definitely less than $20.

Day 2 | 11th July 2016

Kyoto, Japan

1. Arashiyama Bamboo Grove

One of the highlights of kyoto would be highly visited bamboo groves. Though man, I gotta say the summer heat in Kyoto is almost hotter than in Singapore. I was sweating day & night.

2. Fushimi Inari Taisha, Mt Inari

After the sweltering walks around the bamboo grove, we then went to the Fushimi Inari shrine. The Shrine also happens to be along a mini mountain of 233metres high called Mount Inari. Not a hard hike up but may be challenging to some as it is basically steps up & down the mountain. I was still huffing & puffing along the way up though.

& tadaaaa, the shrine walkwayy! Quite incredible huh.

They have a summit, but till now i'm not sure where the summit really was. We thought we missed the summit but we're not sure.

Around evening time. It would be wise to visit this shrine before night as there's no lights at night. Not to mention how scary it would be at night as well.

& that's the end of Day 2 in Japan! After the trip outside, we went back to kyoto station. Walked around the mall, bought some onigiris to eat in the hotel. One of my favourite things to do once i got back to the hotel after a long day was to shower, don myself in a kimono provided by the hotel and eat my onigiris on the bed. ah the life. My life now is basically waking up to alarms at 3am for work, ah hais.

5th - 30th September 2016 | Changi Airport

It's a Tuesday & it's 2am. But I would like to update about my month. (& meanwhile my wet hair is still air drying from my shower..)

September had been a brilliant month for me. I have met 6 other fabulous bunch in my batch and we're called Tango 9. I entered the class on the first day, not expecting to be close to anyone but I thought wrong. I know it sounds cheesy and all but we're the perfect fit together. hahahaha, it's true really. With different backgrounds, nationalities, age group and language, they're the most dynamic group I have ever met.

Below are some of my favourite moments during our one month training at work :')

We had a combined class with staff from other jobs like the shop and dine, ishop..etc. They were a really cool and fun bunch!

Such a great bunch! The aunties and uncles are volunteers from RSVP. They shared some incredible stories to us during introduction. Such wonderful people.

As you all already know, I got a job in Changi Airport. I don't wish to list my job position to avoid being searched online though you may ask me elsewhere. My main role is to basically provide services over the information counter or rover around with an ipad to help lost passengers. Why I joined this? Here's my bimbotic answer: I like the uniform. Yes, once upon a time as I was strolling around in changi airport, I pointed out to my mum that I wanted to work 'in that uniform'. & here I am.

For this job, regardless of part-time or full time, we all had to undergo a one month training following office hours in business formal wear everyday. I felt like the whole office hours and grooming part were the hardest for me. I generally don't really like working office hours as it drains me a lot more. After we learned about our grooming standards on the 2nd day, we had to stick to it for the rest of the month. This meant hair and makeup. It was not hard to do the grooming though it was kinda daunting to be doing all the blending and contouring so early in the morning.

On top of the grooming we had to ace, we had our daily classroom classes and the overload of information on a daily basis. There is so much to know and learn really. With school and my other job, I honestly had little to no time to study for work. Though I did somehow managed to score pretty well for the final test without studying considering how I'm usually the kind that always fails when I don't study. Quite proud of myself for that.

I also had very little social life last month. Had to reject so many plans from people cause I was too busy (& tired). From office hours work to night classes to working at uss to uni project meetings. Therefore I'm quite happy that the training month is over and I can finally work in shifts and only 3 times a week. I am less busy now (though still quite busy) with more time to myself and for school. I am able to hit the gym more and sleep more. Perhaps when it nears the end of this month, I'll be more busy studying for my upcoming exams for next month.

All in all, I would say that September had been a really great month for me and meeting so many new people.

The training in a nutshell: fun/stressful/headpain/happy/leceh/expensive/notimeforanythingelse/butthankful

I think I'll end my experience on the training here. Work itself had been pretty good as well. I think I've been blessed to work with nice colleagues and got deployed at the lucky counters. So it hasn't been too hard yet. Though still so much to learn.

& also, on a highly separate note, I will be updating about my Japan Trip really soon. It'll probably be up within a few days to next week. So keep a look out for that. Hopefully, I'll be able to be consistent on my posts.

Hello my friends & family! Guess I can't keep my word about updating this page as much as I wanted to. Even though it's already closing to the end of the year (where did the time go??!) , I still would like to update about what's up in my life. Actually more for future me to read this and laugh at myself lol.

So many things and events have happened from the last time which apparently was 6 months ago. Daymm, that was long. I apologize for the long hiatus.

To keep things short and simple, I'll list the big events in point forms:

I went to JAPAN!
I climbed up to the summit of Mt Fuji (My very first mountain ever)
I am now employed :)
I did well in school last semester
Made a lot of new friends during the last 6 months :)

I guess I never mentioned it here but yes, I went to Japan with the baesan. It was quite a trip and of course I will start updating about my trip as soon as I get less lazy to do so.

My job, ah yes. I was supposed to start earlier in June. But due to my Japan trip, I had to kinda defer my start date to September. I just started my training a week ago & it's been fun. Met a lot of great and incredible people. I am also blessed with a great bunch as my batch mates. Couldn't have asked for a better team.

2nd April | Changi Airport

So we finally decided to meet up after like soo long. Probably a year or so?

Went to one of my favourite places & I almost can't remember why I stopped visiting airport for such a long time.

There were quite a number of things to see in airport. Always so busy with the PR on travelling stuff. There was this American fair and some 7 wonders of the world sculptures. We pretty much were like the tourists basically.

Watched the northern lights together.

We also got to try that thingy which I don't know what it's called. It's pretty cool, but I got a headache after like a minute. #auntyissues

ArtScience Museum: Future World

Soo, I thought I'd lay off the travelling updates for awhile & share about what I've been up to lately.

It has become a thing where me & homegirl hangs out every Saturday. Like it's not even a question. So last Saturday we met at the usual station & was like 'Where should we go today?' Then I remembered there was like a 1 for 1 ticket promo for the exhibition at the ArtScience Museum.

& that's the story of how we decided to head to a museum on a Saturday lolol.

26th March | ArtScience Museum

Cause somebody was hungry so we decided to drop by Pita Pan for some quick lunch. Fun fact, we've always been huge fans of Pita Pan right from the start and back when they still had groupons. & also when their food and presentation were great. It's been a year since we last had Pita Pan. While their shakshuka & hummus are still on point, there's some tiny things the place lacks in comparison to when they started.

This meal costed us about $35. Quite pricey. Eventhough no more groupons, but food is still bomb diggity.

Our $7 tickets! Original price is $14. So it was quite a steal. oh & the queue was insane. We waited for 1 hour but it was not too bad since we were quite busy texting lol.

We also did not exactly take much photos besides some of our favourite spots. I don't know what the names of those segments are called but I'll just write it out in layman terms as awkward as it may sound. My favourite was the giant lighted balls, the waterfall & the sparkly fairy lights.

I mean, who needs to go all the way to the Skogafoss waterfall in Iceland.

Them fairy lightsss! It was soo amazing & impressive. I also thought it was really trippy. & if you were an ex engineer like me, you're thoughts would go out to the engineers whom designed the binary codes. It's insane.

Only thing was that the hallway was really narrow. So less than 10 people can be in it.

Overall, I really did like it. I'm normally one of those who gets bored of exhibitions. Even though we got the last hour to explore before it closed. But it was good in a way as well cause after the last stop, we U-turned back into the other sections where there were lesser people & got everything to ourselves.

Oh & since I'm here, I'd like to update that I am still unemployed. hahahaha my life.

Somebody hire me pls?

Although I'm kinda happy being jobless but...I'm going broke each day.

In the meantime, I've been busy doing yoga & working on my school assignments. Speaking of school, I forgot how draining it is to work on essays. Like my brain is not used to this much activity after being dormant for quite awhile.

Okay, responsibilities are calling out to me.

Overdued Redang 2015 trip!

Well hello there, first of all, I'd like to apologize for this super long overdue update. This was a year ago & I only realized I did not update about it here recently which is not acceptable cause this trip was one of my favourites. & I also would like to apologize for all the square photographs. Guess I was on roll with squared photographs.

Last April was the period when I was working in a finance company in the MND building. ahh, memories. & I was working so damn hard to save up for Iceland.

Day 1 - 4 | 1st - 5th April '15

Redang, Terengganu, Malaysia

I'm really bad at remembering stuff, sooo I just checked my calendar to see what the occasion was. Apparently it was the easter & good friday weekend which is ironic that I chose to update now. Cause this week is easter & good friday week as well. Oh coincidences.

My family and I were supposed to go to Tioman or Krabi this weekend, but everything was fully booked. So guess we'll be stuck in Singapore this time round.

I believe we stayed in Laguna Redang Resort. It was pretty nice I think. Though I can't exactly remember how the rooms looked like....

I'm pretty sure there was a balcony. If there's a balcony with a nice view, I'm all good!

As we had two complimentary snorkelling sessions, I went for both of course.

The only downside was that we had to rent the snorkelling items which would kinda equate to us paying for the sessions lol.

I loved it soo much though!

For this one, we got to the middle of the sea to snorkel some pretty stuff.

I went with my mum cause the dad & brother were boring. Zzzz

I loved how everything seemed so zen.

I had to make her smile, cause she never knows how to smile less awkwardly.

It was really really nice to be snorkelling in the deep sea. There was so much beauty to see underneath. Funny story, after swimming for awhile I felt kinda sea sick. I mean who gets sea sick while swimming in the sea?? oh, me.

I literally stopped swimming & stayed afloat in one spot & was bracing myself to puke in the sea. But nah, good thing I didn't puke my guts out.

& I did it! for a few seconds before I plopped back onto the sand. But it was quite an accomplishment for me cause it was also one of my new year resolutions.

All in all, I truly enjoyed the trip so much. I loved how I felt really free under the sun, sand and salty seas. It was so exhilarating to not care about how I looked like and to just soak up my surroundings.

I now look forward to vacations to such beach areas.

Port Dickson February!

Day 1 - 4 | 5th Feb - 8th Feb '16

Port Dickson, Malaysia

Dear all, I believe I mentioned previously that recently during the Chinese New Year break, I went on a little trip to Port Dickson. We stayed in Grand Lexis Port Dickson and I believe we got the Garden Pool Villa. My favourite part about this resort was that we had our own private pool!! Like say whattt?! I never had a personal pool before, so this was quite an experience.

Our room was pretty nice and has a 'woody' interior. I did not take a photo when the bed was nicely made...but imagine the bed without the mess lol.

As you can imagine, I spent most of my days soaking myself in chlorine and vitamin D.

These were the more expensive resorts/villas. Cause it was above water. Ours were just above land. I actually preferred our villas better cause our pool was open. All these private pools were enclosed.

We also went to town. There weren't much things to do besides eating. They had a Starbucks, Mcdonalds and Kenny Rogers near to the sea. Their main activity there was making bubbles lol. & we basically just busked in the bubbles they made lol.

So that's all for the trip. Granted I did not take my photos during the trip besides a ton of pool selfies. Oops, I could basically just marry the pool.

All in all it was a chill holiday.

2015 Timeline

Dear everyone, as mentioned on my previous post, I decided to continue with my yearly Timeline tradition.

So here goes nothing.

2015 Timeline

January

I began my first moments of 2015 with my good poly classmates. It was quite an epic night which you can read in my previous timeline. Nevertheless, it was nice spending my new year with them.

2015 was mainly the year where I stopped updating my blog so frequently. I still am pretty bad at it now but I hope I'll get back at it this year. Because of my lack of updates, I can't exactly reference a lot of my memories to posts (cause they don't exist lol). Thus, I had to whip out my trusty iphone calendar to check out what happened to me last year.

January was the time when I was still adjusting to my 'after quitting school' phase. So I didn't know what I was doing but more like just going with the flow of everything and ending some contracts I had such as my gym membership as well as my hostel. It seems like I didn't do anything much. Because 2014 stressed me out like crazy, I broke out so much. I believe I did mention about my horrible breakouts along the way when I updated. In January, I was mostly mending my scars. I did have some literal scars. Thankfully most of my scars have cleared now.

But I would definitely say my highlight for that month was being able to hang out with my roommates. I had a sleepover in Camelia's NTU Hall with Jing Wen and we watched movies like how we used to. Just like the old times :')

My roommates whom stayed up with me to talk to me on my last night. aww :') Jennifer was rather new though but she's just too adorable.

& the final day arrived. It was a great 6 months. Even though things didn't work out as planned but I left with some meaningful friendships along the way.

February

Basically nothing much happened that month. I had my last Kickboxing class by my favourite instructor. I've been to a lot of cardio classes but till now, his classes were still the best!

I miss that gym which has now closed down. I loved the classes, they fit me perfectly. The timings were all great and I loved the flexible system. Granted, it may not have had the most state of the art facilities, but I liked it.

Oh that month was also the month, me and Syahirah decided that I'll be going to Iceland! So I had to save up my money and I got a job interview as a Finance Officer in a government based company. I worked there for like 2.5 months before I left for my trip.

March

March was a really interesting month for me as I got my first office job ever. I got my own desk and wore formal everyday (eventhough I didn't really had to cause I was just a temp staff). I leant a lot of new things and a bunch of new friends with my colleagues. I was also working my ass off everyday. Well not really that hard but in a sense where I was volunteering to OT at least a few times a week in the office and also working on one weekend at my other job in USS.

So I was really busy and really tired with at least 50 hours of work every week but I did it somehow! I think it was partly cause of my diet and my exercise routine. As I was saving money, I mostly brought salad from home and drank lots of green tea and coffee. & I also made it a point to workout and de-stress with some yoga on the weekends. I would go for some Bikram or gentle yoga classes before heading to work on the weekends.

& since I did not update at all about my social life during that period, I'll share some pictures I took during that month.

And then I dragged my mum as well. hahaha

April

My highlights for April was going for a trip to Redang, Malaysia! I loved that place. So beautiful and I enjoyed every moment swimming and being under the sun. I apparently did not update that as well. It seems like I forgot to update a lot of trips. *writing down a bunch of trip updates to do*

I truly enjoyed myself and was basically channeling my inner yogi throughout that trip.

May

It was the month where I left Vital (The finance company I worked with). It was a great 2.5 months & my team treated me too well.

I never mentioned this before but I did my very first eyebrow embroidery. It may sound really petty but I did it mainly for my Iceland trip cause I forsee a lot of no makeup days & I was right lol. These were some pictures I took in the office a few days after the embroidery.

I did it in a rather unprofessional place but I don't regret it. Now, 1 year later, my embroidery have faded a lot. But I like it this way now cause it looks more natural now. The images below I did not fill in my brows at all. In fact it was too dark that I had clean a little off with some concealer and a little powder over it. & I started having bangs to cover it lol.

awww memories. I can't believe it was just last year. I kinda miss working with them. They're quite chill.

June

It was the month where I turned 22. I also went to Pulau Ubin after yearsss. Like 10? So it was really nice seeing how the place hardly really changed much. And since I left Vital, I had no job & I needed income for my upcoming Iceland trip. Thus, I was working on most days.

July

Oh this was hands down the BEST month out of 2015!

Iceland was quite an epic adventure. I have yet to edit the entire Iceland video but...I'll get to it as soon as I'm updating with all my long overdued posts!

August

I was having the post Iceland withdrawal symptoms and basically still recovering from everything like Jetlag and my skin was breaking out so bad. So I was taking care of my skin for the most part.

For that month, I went for our annual chalet with my Shrekiess! & got to meet the entire family for an open house my aunt had.

September

This month, I had a lot of interesting things going on.

We went on a Yatch!! & kinda drove it a little. It was a really cool experience & we got a pretty cool instructor as well with whom we still kept in contact with till now. (If you consider following one another on instagram....)

After our yatching session, we met up with my roommates! And Syahirah's first time meeting them. It was quite an epid dance session lolol. 2 hours was prolly too long.

Work was alright, but that was the month that we got this Squad photo lol.

& I got my job in SPH!

October

It was the month when my Snapchat was born. hahaha. Thanks to the influence of the other staff in SPH. & also to tons of selfies in the office and avoiding responsibilities.

I went for my 4th Halloween Horror Nights in USS. & speaking of work, it was my 3 year anniversary of working there. daymm, am I considered an old timer now? This year will be my 4th year.

oh & Fara was born.

& must have car selfiessss. I probably have wayyy too much selfies of myself during that month.

Basically how Siti thinks of me when I snapchat. She be like 'Stop embarrassing yourself'.

November

I had my very first Deepavali in the office! It was quite interesting to see how festive the office people are when it comes to celebrations.

& I also went to Langkawi in which I did talk about here.

December

A couple of highlights for that month. I cut my hair prettyyy shortt! & I think it's the shortest I've ever had. It looked weird for awhile cause I didn't know how to style it. So I compensated it with slightly more makeup than usual but then again I was going through the Kylie lip phase as well. So yeah that's that.

I also got pretty tight with the rest of them Temp Staff kidzz. & Siti left us that month as well.

I had my very first Christmas celebration in the office. It was so nice to see everyone in red. I received a lot of goodies, even though I gave none lol oops.

I celebrated my final moments of 2015 and my first few moments with my parents in Bintan.

Yazz I'm gonna do it again this time round. Sooo last year's resolution was as follows, let's see what I've accomplished.

My 2015 Resolution:

Headstand without the help of the walls (I'm almost there nowww)
Travel alone or with my best friend
Find Happiness
Find a goal or meaning in my life

Did it happen?

ummm well, I did do a headstand without the walls on the beach in which I have proof & you can see under my April section when I went to Redang. HAH AMEK KAU.
I DIDDD & I WENT TO ICELAND! Well I may have cheated a little cause when I was typing those resolutions, we kinda were already planning it...so yeahh. hahaha
Happiness. Hmm that's kinda hard to say right now. I have had my ups and downs and I did have some certain degree of happiness but it's not the happiness that I meant when I typed that. I was happy but not as much as I wanted to be. I feel like this sort of happiness has to be some sort of accomplishment of something that I worked really hard in. I am still not sure what kind of happiness exactly but I feel like there's something more for me out there.
I think I may have found it. I enrolled in school again. & this time, I'm doing it for myself and I'm funding myself financially in which I chose to. & for once it feels right. My plans for the future may vary but for now, I like the idea that I'm learning and harnessing skills that I've been toying for quite awhile. I have a better perspective in life. It's not about how fast I end school, we often forget, it's actually about the journey and how it has moulded you to be you now.

Well that escalated quickly from quirky to deep lol. Excuse me and my moments.

Now, it's time for my 2016 resolutions! It's never too late right?

My 2016 Resolutions:

Get back into my Yoga grind and be stronger. The Mak Cik in SPH fed me too well, I gained 5 kg throughout my 5 months there. T.T
Cause I still have not found my true Happiness, soo let's try to find Happiness this year.
Decluttering my things
Minimalistic living - To live with as few items as possible.
Relax more

Sooo those are my resolutions for this year.

I feel like I needed to focus and work on myself more. & relax more. I've been having difficulties relaxing lately. Especially when I sleep. I know cause I always wake up with stiff jaw joints. Every morning, the first thing I think of is, "Does it hurt?". It usually does & I'll be like "damn". That's something I've been trying to work on and I've been tackling it by going for yoga classes more often. It is a work in progress and I'm sure I'll get through it.

All in all, I would say that 2015 was quite an eventful year. I actually made a lot of new friends. From my temp jobs and also the new crews that joined uss. All the experiences and opportunities that I've gain, I am so thankful for. I started out weak, but I came out stronger.

May this year be an even better year than the last!

Well hello everyone! I thought I'd share about how I spent my 2016 countdown in Bintan. Granted this was definitely not my first time going to Bintan, but it was my first time after yearsss. & I believe the last time I came here, I had braces on which was like when I was in Secondary 3. That was like 8 years ago, damn I'm old.

So this time round, I decided to document some photographs but didn't bring my DSLR just cause I mainly wanted to just chill.

Day 1 - 4 | 31st Dec '15 - 3rd Jan '16

Bintan, Indonesia

We woke up nice and early and headed to the ferry terminal. Normally back in those days, we used to always head to Batam and travel via the Harbourfront Terminal. But this time round, we took the ferry from the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.

I like that place. It always gave me an 'Out of Singapore' kinda vibe.

So the ride was about an hour which I am so thankful of cause I occasionally get sea sickness.

When we arrived we already had a shuttle bus waiting for us to our resort.

We stayed at Bintan Lagoon Resort. I apparently didn't take any photos of the room but I would say it is rather average and had a mini platform area and a balcony full of insects. I'l try to get some pictures from the dad if he took some.

I normally enjoy balconies but I did not particularly like this one. The view was into a forest and there were too much insects.

I can't exactly remember which is which day, sooo I'm just gonna put all the images out dateless lol.

The beach was nice, but it didn't have much hermit crabs or seashells even. I'm one whom actually enjoys finding hermit crabs in the beach.

& then that is the pool. It's pretty nice from the top which is near the breakfast area.

& of course, I had to swim. I really loved the really deep pool area.

I may be beginning to age or grow a little wiser but now I look forward to swimming and chilling by pools.

We also had a mini tour where we got to eat food above water in which they call it 'Kelong' and also got a chance to see fireflies!

I can't remember how the food tasted like but I think it was pretty good, if my memory serves me right...

The fireflies were really nice and cool to see. It was my first time watching fireflies. Yeah it was pretty but I still couldn't make myself touch or carry one cause I knew they looked like ants. So nope.

& then we had a Singapore countdown on the TV. We planned to head down to the lobby for the Bintan Countdown but we ended up falling asleep and only got woken up by fireworks outside lol.

But can I just say how amazing the fireworks wereee! We had such a clear and very close view from our balcony. It was almost too close. lol.

I also enjoyed knitting on the white sheets.

That's all for the trip.

All in all, it was a relaxing trip. The resort was alright just that local taxis were not able to enter into the resort as they'd have to pay extra. So whenever we wanted to go to town, we had to take the resort cars which were usually more expensive.

Well anyway I was thinking of doing a 2015 timeline. I know it's realllyy late but..better late then never rightt.

Perhaps I'll do that for my next post.
