Louisville continues to roll, with a likely bid for the ACC Championship, where they will face the Florida State Seminoles. The SEC is historically labeled as one of the most prominent conferences in college football. The East and West divisions of the SEC have proven to be more even and fairly matched than the East and West divisions of the B1G. With super-conferences aligning, it appears that the B1G and the SEC will monopolize the CFB landscape, and in doing so will eliminate the need for East and West divisions at all. This could be the final season where we have two divisions in a conference. The world of college football is changing day by day, and we must do our part to keep up. It's fair to say that the majority of teams making up the BIG 12 will be contenders come March: Kansas, Kansas State, Texas, TCU, and Iowa State have made impacts in their own right to be in the conversation amongst the best. The CBB fanbase can prepare for the BIG 12/SEC challenge this weekend where many top performers will go head to head for some CBB action. Among these games features HOF coaches Bill Self and John Calipari, as the Jayhawks will take on the Wildcats on 1/28. The BCS has taken a back seat since the CFP has been introduced, but the truth is, BCS bowls outside of the CFP still exist, only now they're considered part of the New Years Six. Starting with the Orange Bowl, the Vols best the Clemson Tigers, 31-14. Up next in the Sugar Bowl, Bryce Young and Alabama smoked Kansas State, 45-20. For the Cotton Bowl, Tulane beats USC in a nail-biter, and in the Rose Bowl Penn State beats Utah, 35-21. The Fiesta Bowl ends in heartbreak for the Michigan Wolverines after the TCU Horned frogs win the Fiesta Bowl, 51-45. And finally in the Peach Bowl, UGA wins 42-41 against OSU after Noah Ruggles misses the winning FG as time expires. The final dance will feature TCU and UGA. Tune in.

Newcomer Connor Matlock joins the GCP as the crew discusses the bowl games we've seen so far. We're balls deep into bowl season, and we couldn't be happier. In light of these bowl games, the transfer portal is more active than ever. Several transfers have been confirmed, while many players have entered the portal without a confirmed destination. The panel makes the interesting comparison between the transfer portal (CFB) to free agency (NFL). Juwan Howard makes headlines again after he was caught on camera attempting to fight a referee while shooing his own players away after they attempted to control him. Tom Izzo also gets a tech during the Spartans' latest contest against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. The important aspect to note here is that Coach Izzo was sporting an elf sweater. After all this, we must keep our eyes open for the looming CFP games on the 31st. Michigan beats OSU for the second consecutive year. The last time this happened was 22 years ago, before Musa was even born. Wow, time flies - but damn it feels good. The entire panel has something to cheer about after this Michigan win. The Wolverines have cemented their spot in the CFP at No. 2, given they beat Purdue in the B1G Championship. The GIN Pros. power rankings have been declared, and we'll have one more chance to give our projections following Championship week after this weekend's slate of championship games. The CFP has grown and evolved, and we've seen plenty of movement in-and-out of the top four spots. CBB is here, as the Phil Knight Invitational and the Phil Knight Legacy took place over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Controversy was plentiful in the UNC v. Alabama contest for third place in the PKI after a goaltending call was overturned in 4OT. The Commish claims the reviewing process is starting to ruin College Basketball, and it's changing the game as we know it. All this and much more, in this episode of The GCP. Quinn Ewers and the Texas Longhorns lose at home to the now 10-0 TCU Horned Frogs, earning the Texas QB a SOG (tears) with one of the lowest QBR's we've ever seen. The new GIN CFP rankings have been released, and things are beginning to solidify as the weeks are winding down in the CFB regular season. CBB is among us, and some big games have given us an early look into how this season may play out. Gonzaga gets smoked at Texas, and MSU defeats Kentucky in double-OT at the State Farm Champions Classic. Onward and upward is the only option. Tune in.

These lower-tiered bowls precede the tier-1 bowl games that will take place at the end of December and in early January. Both Kenny Pickett and Kenneth Walker III have opted out of playing in this year's Peach Bowl to declare for the NFL Draft. The Peach Bowl will host Pitt and Michigan State, two teams who make a good match when they're both at full power. These absences from key players has brought forth some controversy.
