Dear Visitors and Friends,
Thanks you all for your support on me and my Blog in various ways for the past months. I am both impressed and encouraged and have decided to move this Blog to its permanent address http://hellokittygifts.com/. By Hello Kitty Eva Air? Or some other simpler method.

Moreover, according to the results of a survey in my blog ended 31st Dec 2008, some visitors like the pink color of Hello Kitty while others would like to see more colors of Hello Kitty, such as purple, green and black. Consequently, I make a bold move to change the color of my Blog so that it is not just pink.

Together with this change in color, I attempt to incorporate a new design of the whole Blog so that the photos would look sharper and more colorful. If you have another look of the older posts, you would understand what I mean. Hope that you like this new change as well.

I will try my best endeavor to improve further on my Blog after this transition so I would appreciate if you would come often to enjoy my daily updates.

SuZhou is famous as a water city so there are a lot of bridges crossing over canals in the whole city.

Some of these bridges can climb up quite high. The steps in the photograph leads to the top of a bridge. See that people like to take photos of it because it it a characteristics of the SuZhou cityscape.

During my stay in SuZhou, I visit HanShan Temple (meaning Cold Mountain Temple). It is said that in the Tang Dynasty, a famous monk Han Shan came to take charge of the temple, and hence the temple got its name since then.

One other interesting mascot I found in the expo was this Sheep Mascot. It helped to promote healthy drinks.

The most attractive one was of course a booth which had Hello Kitty on it. It was a booth for selling Hello Kitty cup noodles and I bought a package of it.

The package includes:- a Hello Kitty themed bag with 8 cup noodles of 5 different flavors, namely,

Dan Dan (spicy) flavor;
Seafood flavor;
Creamy chicken flavor;
Japanese curry flavor;
Japanese soya sauce flavor.

Isn't it cute? Me~~ow!!

During the New Year, I went to the Hong Kong Brands & Products Expo 2008 organized by The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong. The event was from 13 Dec 2008 to 4 Jan 2009 (a total of 23 days). This year was the 43rd year to organize this event. Being the most successful one, this event attracted 2,160,000 visit counts. The average expenditure per person is HK$500 (US$64). The total sales volume was HK$270 million (US$34 million). See how crowded it can be!!

The goods offered in the booths were those products manufactured in Hong Kong. There was a wide range of products, including food, household goods, medicine, apparels, etc.

These two dragons were the mascots of this expo. They were named as 'Prosperity' and 'Stability', which are the wishes and blessings for Hong Kong in 2009. How lovely !! Me~~ow!!

This is the orange orchid field in full blossom. How lovely! They are a type of butterfly orchids. Do they look like a group of butterflies flying around me?

Pink is my favorite color and these orchids have the nickname of Red Diamond because of their reddish heart.

These orchids have colors almost the opposite of those in the previous photograph. Isn't it amazing or just a coincidence?

After watching the beautiful flower sculptures in the Temple area, I move on to the Orchid Nursery Field. This field is of white orchids.

When I look closer at one of the orchid flowers, I notice that the white flower has a charming reddish heart! How lovely! Me~~ow!!

This is another Orchid Nursery Field but the orchids here are reddish in color. In the next post, I will show you how the field looks like when the orchids are at full blossom!

Here, we have a closer view of the pagoda which is raised to a higher level by a few steps so that people can have a better view of the surrounding scenery when they relax inside the pagoda. On both sides of the pagoda are two red mural panels with Chinese calligraphy.

This wall mural is about the Three Star Gods of China - Longevity (long life), Prosperity and Fortune. In traditonal Chinese homes, ceramic statues of these Three Star Gods would be placed in the living room to bring good luck to the family.

This is another mural of an ancient Chinese god carved on a black marble. Please also note the dragon carving at the top of the panel.

This is the main temple of this tourist spot. It is a two storey building approached by a grand staircase. Please also note two large pillars at its front which are decorated with cloud images. This symbolizes that the temple is amidst the clouds, This is a close-up of the architectural features of the temple. The decorations are very colorful and elaborate. There is also a small pagoda which is connected to the main temple through walkways guarded by carefully-detailed baulastrade. From another angle, the roof of the pagoda looks like that it is pointing to the sky.

Besides flower sculptures, there are also stone sculptures. This one is a turtle with a snake on its back and it looks like it's crawling on the grass, looking for some treasures`in the cluster of rocks. Sculptures can also be put on walls to form a wall mural. This one is about nine dragons flying in the air with different postures.I also see a wall mural of ceramics. This is a legendary story of eight gods crossing the East Sea. Instead of using a boat, they are actually riding on a dragon. How cool.......! ;P

Besides a cow made of flowers, I also find a dragon of flowers when I climb on another flowering shrub. The body of the dragon flower sculpture is made of yellow chrysanthemum - yellow being the royal color in Chinese traditions.

In Chinese traditions, whenever there is a dragon, there is always a phoenix for completeness. These two legendary creatures together represent the balance of male and female power. See how alive does the phoenix look !Luckily, I also come across a row of tao-monk marching in parade praying aloud. I think they are doing their prayers before lunch. See also that I look like having a beautiful purple flower on my head - do I look like my avator image? :)

When I go through the gateway, I see a temple at the end of an avenue of flower cones. The flower cones are all made of chrysanthemum.

By coming closer to the temple, I notice that there a a very large flower pot in the front yard. This flower pot is again made of flowers. You can imagine the size of this flower pot by comparing it to the temple at its background.

There is also a flower sculpture next to the temple. This time, flowers are used to make the body of a water cow. An old man sitting, representing longevity, sits on the cow. In front of the cow is a small kid who is a young farmer. This is a beautiful flower sculpture and a lot of people like to take photos with it.

In Taipei. other than the Hello Kitty Hospital, there is also a Hello Kitty Lounge at the Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 3. In this lounge, the chairs are decorated with Hello Kitty logo.

Well, as a Kitty, I like to climb trees and this one is a very old one. Look at all those roots!

High above on the old tree, I manage to find a red Azalea, which is a beautiful flowering shrub grown on pots. At this moment, I feel somewhat like a monkey, jumping from tree to tree! :P

Besides a red Azalea, there is also a purple one. Purple is my second favorite color, other than pink. Do you also know that Hello Kitty has many colors. The purple color ones are from Hokkaido, Japan.

From the flowering shrubs, I notice there is a road surrounded by an avenue of flowers. Where does this road lead to ??

Besides watching orchids on the trip, I also find beautiful chrysanthemum. See how I hide myself inside this hedge of yellow chrysanthemum.

Besides yellow ones, I also find another pink one. Wow, pink is my favourite color! :)

Some yellow chrysanthemum are so large that they are almost the size of my head!!

I also find a pink chrysanthemum umbrella and it looks like a small hill of pink chrysanthemum to me!

Spring is the season of flowers and love. Although it is now 2009, the Chinese lunar year will start on 26th Jan 2009. The next Chinese lunar year is the "Year of the Cow" and according to the Chinese horoscope, it is a good year for getting married.
