Pininfarina, the legendary Italian car design company, launched today a new electric car, called B0 [pronounced B Zero], at the Paris Auto Show.
This car is not a prototype. It is a mass production model - the first Pininfarina branded car ever - with the first units coming off the production line at the end of 2009, after which production will be ramped up gradually based on the availability of the batteries.
Built in Turin by Pininfarina-Bolloré, a joint venture formed by the two family-owned groups, the B0 electric car is a fully-electric vehicle without any carbon dioxide production, having been designed from the ground up with that aim in mind.
Dedicated to the memory of Andrea Pininfarina who was a firm believer in the project, the elegant four-seater, four-door hatchback can be recharged in a matter of hours from a standard domestic main socket and has a range of 250 km (153 miles).

We’re okay with that, because while the GLK might not keep up with a Jeep Wrangler on the soft stuff, it will be far more pleasant to live with during the work week. Heated leather seats, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, and a superb stereo will make the office commute and jaunts to the mall and supermarket more than bearable. The fully adjustable seats keep your backside happy on long drives, and the COMAND infotainment system is easy to learn and provides quick access to stereo, phone, and navigation. While the COMAND control knob operates much like BMW’s iDrive, the system is more user-friendly. Unfortunately, Mercedes has placed the knob at an odd angle behind the gear select lever, requiring an uncomfortable reach. Moving it just an inch farther forward, away from the edge of the armrest, would help immensely.

There’s no official details out yet, but apparently the car was set to make its debut at Dubai Motor Show but missed it. And anyway, you don’t need any details, these pictures say it all! Gemballa has made an insane body kit for the Enzo, which is kinda like the one they did for Porsche Carrera GT, only this one is much crazier. It comes with deeply modified front and rear bumpers, new bonnet, new fenders, new skirts, and a whole new rear apron. I also get a new exhaust system with a pair of twin vertical tailpipes just like Carrera GT’s and it also features a huge rear wing. An air intake on the roof, which again resembles the one on Carrera Mirage GT, completes this breathtaking package, not to forget those new and massive wheels.

And while the interior of the Standard Enzo offers no luxury at all, Gemballa takes care of that too so Mr.Galadari has two-tone red/black leather upholstery, more comfi seats and a new screen on the top of the dashboard which appears to be connected to a kick-ass multimedia system!

It’s all very cool, but it’s a matter of taste. You may find it too showy and idiotic! Hell, we do!

New 2010 Nissan 370-Z

Approach the new Nissan 370-Z for the first time, what immediately captures your thoughts is the aggressive styling. The sportscar / racecar stance makes you picture yourself sailing through the esses on a track even as it sits in your driveway. You can feel the g-forces pushing into your ribcage through the very well crafted sport seats, and you haven’t even opened the door yet.

As I initially walked around this car, the fit and finish struck me as remarkable for a car offering this much for such an affordable price. The base price is just over $29,000 and you can get a fully-optioned Z-car for just under $37,500. Unbelievable amount of car for the money.

Entering the driver’s cockpit, you realize you are surrounded by a well thought-out set of driver accouterments finished in very high-end materials. The seats grab you like long lost Aunt Edna. The pedals are well placed for the serious driver. The steering wheel feels just right, and you can see all the instruments at a glance as you are jetting through the neighborhood with the shifter in your right hand just waiting to grab another SynchroRev Matched gears from the 6 speed manual transmission. Whoa baby! As you can probably tell, yes I like this car.

Power? Righteous! The 3.7 liter V6 puts out 332-bhp at 7,000-rpm and 270-lbs-ft of torque at 5,200rpm. Once you get the Z-car moving and the RPM’s upward of 5,000-revs, you realize just how much automobile you have at your control.

Personally – I have been fine with the way that the Acura RDX has been performing, however – unlike me, a lot of people truly want this car to be remade. Finally, the 2010 Acura RDX is actually going to be getting quite the makeover and this beautiful car is going to look and feel different. While the 2010 Acura RDX is actually not a hugely popular car, it is still popular with enough folks that they thought to make a brand new car.

Now, the powertain of this particular compact has carried over intact and it will still come with a turbocharged 240 HP 2.3-liter four with a very good 260 lb-ft of torque however, the new six-speed automatic is likely going to be fitted in the 2010 version. This car is definitely going to break a lot of rules and the speed on it is totally going to rock.

Not to mention the bodywork that has been done on the 2010 Acura RDX – it looks beautiful! I think that people should just leave it alone now … seriously, it looks great!

Volkswagen has officials unveiled its Scirocco hatchback, which goes on sale in Europe.
“In the Scirocco we will be bringing the kind of sports car into the showroom that people dream of. Yet it is a dream that an exceptionally large number of car drivers will be able to afford — despite all of the high-end technologies we have implemented,” CEO Dr. Martin Winterkorn said.
With a length of 168 inches, the Scirocco is on par with the Golf. However, it is built significantly lower to the ground and is nearly as wide as the larger Passat sedan.
There is seating for four adults, including the driver. Once they are all aboard, the Scirocco provides 292 liters of cargo capacity; when the two seatbacks of the individual rear seats are folded down, capacity increases to 755 liters.
There are three TSI gasoline engines offered and one TDI diesel. The gas engines deliver 120, 158, or 145 horsepower. The diesel motor develops 140 horsepower. The standard transmission is a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
A panoramic glass roof is available, which extends from the A-pillars to the B-pillars. The glass reflects 99 percent of UV radiation, 97 percent of infrared radiation (heat) and 80 percent of visible light

Range Rover has unveils the new 2010 Range Rover Sport that comes with an improved interior quality, a revised exterior design, and new engines.

Range Rover Sport (2010) comes with optional of three new engines: a 5.0 liter V8 petrol version, 3.0 liter twin turbo diesel, and also a supercharged version of the 5.0 liter engine. However, the 3.6 liter TDV8 engine also available for the 2010 Range Rover Sport.

The design is a tremendous leap for McLaren and their typical and uninspired German rooted styling. The new styling is more of a mix of Japanese and Italian. Those two styles mix together quite well, unless you are talking about food. I don’t think sushi raviolis will ever win anyone over like the P11 does.

U.S Auto magazine Car and Driver has published a rendering of the 2010 Ferrari F500. The Ferrari F500 will be an updated F430 with a larger and more powerful engine. A V8 5000cc engine brings out 550hp gets filtered through a 7-Speed dual clutch gearbox for continuous power supply.

The 2010 Ferrari F500 will fight for the crown of the best supercar against the likes of the Mclaren P11, Lamborghini LP560-4 and the Porsche 911 GT2.

Scuderia and convertible variants will don a higher price tag when they are introduced subsequently, but the base Ferrari F500 that will be shown of at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show will start at $200,000.
