These are so awesome! I just had to share them with you. They are Brown Bag Cookie Art Stamping cookie tiles. I just couldn't pass these up! All four have different little gingerbread themes and have a nice shape to them.

I love neat kitchen items see the other molds I found while thrifting that are available now!

I can just never pass up unusual baking molds, these each have a lid that goes over the top of them and has a recipe in several different languages. They were just so nice and shiny inside as if who ever owned them before did not use them much if any at all. These are Pudding Molds that you cook in a water bath and unmold after cooling. How neat!

Great for storing some smaller kitchen items when not in use

I am always looking for neat older and modern kitchen items I haven't cooked in quite awile so that is probaby why!

3 feet Tall Victorian Art Doll Bunny Rabbit!

I got this darling bunny rabbit on Christmas Eve last year at one of my favorite shops this equisite bunny was sitting in the glass case all decked out in her velevet sequined lace dress, she just looked a bit claustrophobic peering out of the enclosed display so I asked the sales lady if I could see her and she pulled her out of the case and white fluffs of stuff was scattering all about the counter and me. My first thought was she had an injury and her stuffing was falling out so upon my inspection I saw her wonderful painted features and needlesculptured hands and feet, her pretty painted eyes and embroidered nose and whiskers. To my suprise all the fluff was just the imitation snow that was displayed in the bottom of the case for the Christmas display. So she came home with me and is now looking for a new home.

I found a bunch of sweet animal miniatures in one of my favorite thrift shops and just could not pass them up.

Some items are just too precious to just leave sitting on a shelf so I have let them escape from the second hand shop and they will wander through the forest for a bit and hopefully find a new home.

These miniature ducks are handpainted and so sweet very colorful feathers

Old World Santa Doll Creations....... A Crafting Journey of doll making

I make OOAK Santa dolls. Thanks to my sis she got me started on this by sending me one of her completed Santa's in the early 1990s. I just loved him and I purchased some items to send to her that I had gotten a great bargain on for her santa construction. I held on to these items for a while and she had told me she quit making them and don't have the time. So I just kept the items and decided later that I would try making them myself as she told me that she and her friends would get together and make them. So I decided to give it a go. I have for many years now going to Estate Sales, yard sales and thrift stores collecting special vintage items such as fabrics, linens, baskets, brooches, pins, and other little goodies that catch my eye to incorporate into one of my Father Christmas dolls. Now I have so many items in the attic and santa projects in my head I doubt I will get to all of them all made but I sure will give it a good try!! My last creation was Seashore Santa above The heads and hands are made of Porcelain, Santa's beard, mustache and hair are all attached and to me this is the hardest part of making my dolls and the most time consuming for me I don't know why this is. It may just be it is quite a messy process but after I have completed the hair it seems that my santa has a new personality and is starting to become one of my one of a kind creation. And then I have to clean up the mess! I will add a few more pictures of my santa creations that I have sold and in the future the ones that are completed for 2010.

Snow Angels in my mind

The snow is falling again and how pretty it is! I believe this is the third snow of the month and so very unusual for this area. I grew up with snow during the winter time and seeing it again brings back fond memories of laying on the ground in the snow making snow angels as a child all bundled up in mittens and boots, the silly hat with a pom pom ball on top and a puffy winter coat all that stuff your mom made you put on before going out in the cold. Thanks to mom for that as I think back then I would have just run out in the snow with my footed pj's if I could have, just to build a snowman or catch snowflakes on my tongue. Im not sure if everyone knows what a snow angel is but you lay on your back in the snow and move your arms back and forth above your head while laying on your back in the snow and you get up to admire the snow angel you have made! How fun! Oh the memories, maybe I will just run out and make a snow angel in the undisturbed canvas of snow, wouldn't that just be a hoot! Seeing it again several times and how pretty it makes the landscape when you look outside in the morning the white fluffy powdery flakes floating through the sky in different sizes and shapes just giving a pure sense of calmness to your mind and soul!

Yard sale tips

There are quite a few things you can do to make your yard sale a success

Get prepared for your sale is key
Organize your items several days or even weeks prior to your sale
Price your items so you are not overwhelmed by questions
Make sure and place an add in your local newspaper so many people can find you
Obtain a yard sale permit if your locality requires it
Make your ad stand out and be sure to submit both the area you live in and your address
Make Several signs and post them in a way to guide buyers to your location easily
Have friends or family to help with the set up as Early Morning set up can be stressful

The Yard Sale Dilemma

Do I have some kind of addiction? Could it be a shopping or collecting addiction? Probably not a collecting addiction as I have quite a bit of different items. Could it be a shopping addiction? Well maybe, but what I like to think is it's just a way to pass the time, a hobby ,something to keep me busy and do something that I enjoy. Just the fun of finding that vintage item that brings back memories of something in my life, or maybe just a certain time frame or bygone era. Who doesn't love the nostalgia of finding an item that sat on a shelf or hung on a wall and you remember admiring as a child or to run across something that a special friend or family member decorated their home with years ago
. Here's a bit of info on how it all started for me and my memories: My love for yard sales started as a youngster I have memories of my Mom and Grandma getting together and setting up the grand sales in the the large front yard under the weeping willow tree and the items crept out beyond the shaded treeline at my Grandparents house. There sure was alot of commotion and running around with the with several tables being set up and boxes of neatly arranged items that needed to be set out. Some of the treasures that were put out onto the tables were houseware items such as dishes, knick knacks, glassware, books and more. There may have been some furniture and tools and of course lots of clothing. Some of the tables were made of old wooden apple boxes and ply board with vintage tablecloth or sheet draped out nicely over the top of the makeshift tables. That was a great temporary useful solution to display the goods that were for sale. The strung clothesline tied to the tree was always present with an array of colorful and bright vintage and handmade clothing. I really remember the bright items that were scattered throughout the line. Always a multitude of spectacular colors and prints, for some reason the florals stand out in my mind on both the clothing and other linen or fabric type items. Besides the clothing there were also draperies, blankets and tablecloths that were hung and folded nicely placed on hangers. A big yard sale sign was posted out front that was free standing and quite large and handmade to bring in all the yard salers, collectors, Antique dealers, bargain hunters, and the occasional browser just looking. OK so this is the start and the very beginning of some of my fond memories of yard sales and how it all started for me. This is only the very beginning
