Discover How To Create Your Own Super Computer Internet TV System ...

noreply@blogger.com (Manager's Review) — Fri, 28 Jan 2011 07:11:00 -0800

There are a couple of things people tend to question when mentioning how you can watch live sports online for free using a Windows, XP or Vista computer. One: They want to know is it safe, legal, and risk-free. And Two: Want to know why would anyone want to watch a ballgame on a small computer screen when there is a big screen TV sitting at home.
Research has shown a steady increase in the number of video watchers, more so males than females, from age 18 to 30 years old. They watch more Internet videos on their PCs than any other age group. With that said--Internet video, and now Internet television, are beginning to draw a wider audience, particularly older adults up to age 60 years old and higher.

These consumers (both males and females) see the value and benefit to using the Internet as a free media library to watch their favorite entertainment, such as sports, TV shows/episodes, adult entertainment, news, radio, music videos, etc.

Generally speaking, most newbies simply don't know how or where to find their favorite sporting events--local, national and international, including other types of free media. Although some free media can be found easily, it can be difficult to find a favorite sport, movie, video, music video, radio station, TV show/episode, news, etc.

For instance, if searching for a particular sporting event, your search results will probably include 100s if not 1000s of different websites to visit. The effort spent going through just a few of these sites can be very time consuming, and it is not always a given to finding exactly what you are looking for. In addition, factor in the risk of attracting unfriendly intruders such a virus or spyware that can harm your PC.

These are some of the pitfalls when combing the Internet manually in search of free media, and why it's extremely important to have security protection software installed on your computer.

When adding free Internet media to your existing TV entertainment, you have the ability to watch sports online on your PC from any location at home, work, college, on a trip, or when traveling afar. With an Internet broadband connection and a desktop, preferably laptop which is better, you create a mobile TV system.

The goal is: Getting access to free NFL football, NBA basketball, NHL hockey, European sports, soccer, baseball and all other Worldwide sporting events--delivered safely and legally on your PC. Meaning, without decoding or descrambling signals and channels. The Internet is still unregulated, now that the Federal Court has denied the FCC the power to regulate it.

That's why you see all those Internet TV or PC Satellite TV software services/products, both free and paid, populating the Net. Many of these vendors have been in business for years now. And you probably asked yourself how is it possible that many of them haven't undergone legal ramifications relating to Copyright infringement.

It just so happens that third party Internet media sites that provide channel links to media websites and software vendors who develop their own software have smartly utilized Government loopholes. Software (3rd party Satellite TV player) can ping media from one Country while making it free and legal to watch in another Country.

But enough explaining how this works, because this loophole can get confusing. Perhaps if or when Internet TV becomes regulated, every Country and Government will put an end to this kind of activity--and then too, maybe not.

For now, consumers have the advantage when utilizing the loophole that allows creating your own super sports Internet TV computer system legally. Subsequently, allowing you to watch any Worldwide sporting event and other free media with a stroke of a key.

Here Are Some of the Benefits to Watching Live Sports Online:

* Next best thing to Satellite/Cable TV without paying monthly/recurring subscription fees

* Great compliment to paid TV when adding 1000s of additional sport channels from US, Canada, UK, Australia and 78+ other Countries

* Never miss a favorite sporting event again due to a blackout or when there's no paid TV service in the area or when traveling

* No installing equipment/hardware or worrying about poor weather conditions

* Create a SUPER sports computer Internet TV system on the fly then connect it to any TV set--use a cheap video/audio cable connector and perhaps converter box

* Create an extra television that cuts out arguing over the remote or sharing with others

Of course, there are additional perks to this that meets the eye. The point is having the ability to watch live sports online including other free media from a computer.

The greatest benefit of all is having a sports mobile TV when using a laptop to watch anything you want wherever you go. This seems to fit many lifestyles today including budgets.

Televisions Are Boring Without Satellite TV Entertainment

noreply@blogger.com (Manager's Review) — Thu, 20 Jan 2011 10:04:00 -0800

Although televisions have the ability to keep you entertained for hours on end, a set without the right media can be downright boring. You might as well read the newspaper or even just stare at the wall when there's nothing good to watch. How often have you come home from work and tried finding something entertaining on TV only to fail miserably in your search? It's not your fault. Over-the-air programming just can't cut it, but satellite TV can. Sign up today if you're ready to breathe new life into your television set.

http://www.efreecabletvonline.com/

For a couple of reasons, over-the-air programming is just not going to be able to satisfy you in the long run. First and foremost, there just isn't enough variety featured in the channel line-up. Have a look and you're going to discover that only a dozen or so channels are the ones that you're actually interested in. The rest are either confusing foreign language channels, tiring shopping channels, or redundant weather channels. Don't those weather channels know you can get access to the forecasts online at any time of the day instead? Needless to say, those kind of offerings can get boring fast.

Another reason why your local channels aren't going to cut it is the fact that many of them may not even be displayed in high definition. You probably have a state-of-the-art set in your room because you were impressed with the clarity it exhibited when you bought it at the store. Unfortunately, if you rely on local programming you're going to wonder if your TV is broken. Most of those channels don't broadcast in the highest resolutions available and if they do they probably only do it sometimes. They might also cheat by up sampling a lower quality broadcast in the hopes that you won't notice the difference. If you want to take full advantage of your TV, you really need to look to satellite TV service instead.

Finally, there is the issue of signal strength to contend with. Unless you have a large antenna mounted outside of your home, your over-the-air service is going to disappoint you. A channel may come in clearly sometimes and other times it may be noisy. Some channels might not even come in at all if you don't put your antenna in the right place. Ultimately, it can be a real pain having to deal with antennas. Even if you're satisfied with the over-the-air programs you're used to, you could benefit from signing up for satellite TV. Local channels are usually featured on even the most basic of plans and your signal is going to be much better if you tune in that way.

If you're satisfied with over-the-air programming, perhaps you should reconsider your situation. If you bought an expensive TV, don't you think it deserves better? You wouldn't be doing it justice with local channels alone. You also wouldn't be doing yourself justice either. In order to unleash the full power of your TV and allow it to be an effective entertainment solution, you really do need to make sure you're subscribed to satellite TV service.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Satellite Television

noreply@blogger.com (Manager's Review) — Tue, 18 Jan 2011 12:33:00 -0800

You may remember a time when television was simple, you had an antenna on the roof and that was it. As little as thirty years ago, the television channels available could be counted on one hand. In the 1980s commercial television increased the number of channels, but the quality was still the same.

With cable TV, a lot of channels were added, and consumers had as many as 30 programs to choose from at a time. All of these new channels were on an analog signal and had to be received with either cable or antenna. http://www.efreecabletvonline.com/

The televisions were still pretty small, and the low quality still looked fine. With the new modern flat panel TVs this is no longer true. If you have tried to watch television using an analog signal on a large flat panel TV, you know how bad it is. The picture is grainy, and very low quality.

5 Main Ways to Receive a Television Signal

The same poor quality analog signal is still available on both cable and satellite. Analog technology is old technology and is very limited with the sound and picture quality. There is no room for surround sound or HDTV with an analog signal. The new technology is digital. Digital Video Broadcasting or DVB is superior to analog in every way. There are three types of transmission: antenna (DVB-T), cable (DVB-C), or satellite (DVB-S). Satellite or DVB-S is the highest quality in picture and sound that is available for your television.

DVB-S Advantages

To get the highest quality and largest variety of channels, satellite service offers the best in technology. The video and audio quality is much better on a digital satellite system. When compared with DVB-T and DVB-C, there is quite an improvement in the quality because of digital satellite's higher bit rate. There are less connection charges with satellite, and that is a definite plus for consumers. The purchase of satellite equipment pays for itself very quickly. Satellite users can receive radio stations in addition to the large variety of television channels.

Disadvantages of Digital Satellite

Satellite reception only works when the dish on your house is directly aimed at the satellite, so it needs to be installed facing the right direction. A professional installer knows to look out for trees and buildings to allow you to get the best signal. If you are in a location where it's difficult to get a direct line of sight to a satellite then you may have difficulty getting satellite television service.

Here's How To Watch Live TV On The Internet The Easy Way!

noreply@blogger.com (Manager's Review) — Sat, 15 Jan 2011 08:33:00 -0800

We've gotten a number of questions from people asking how they can watch television online. Watching television online is growing very popular so we wrote an article about how to watch live television online. http://www.efreecabletvonline.com/

Watching TV on the net isn't new, but lately it has increased greatly in popularity due to advances in video quality and the amount of channels. There was a time when the video and sound quality was extremely low and there weren't many channels to choose from.

The technology is to the point where you can locate thousands of channels and watch them all in high definition quality. I must admit that I'm not accustomed to watching TV on my computer, but when I was looking into online TV for this article I was highly impressed with what I found.

Let's look at how it's possible to watch television on the net.

As you probably have guessed, you need to install a specialized internet TV software program on your PC. There's a number available to choose from, so here's a couple of things you need to look for and pay attention to.

A good selection of channels is important in a quality online television program. Obviously it's important to get the big TV networks (NBC, FOX, ESPN, HBO etc) but you should also look for a wide variety of specialty channels as well. The best internet TV software programs will literally let you watchover 3,000 TV channels.

It's also nice to be able to schedule recordings of channels so that your computer records the shows you aren't at home to watch. This isn't a widely available feature, but you can find it so shop around. The program should also have the option to hook up your computer to your Television set if you want to watch it on the big screen.

Lastly, buy a software program where you need only pay an initial one-time fee and where you won't be charged any fees each month. When compared to regular cable or satellite TV bill it's a great deal to only have to pay the once. Avoid any software program that charges you a monthly fee as you can get a better deal.

All in all, I was impressed with what I saw. The better programs cost approximately $50 for loads of channels which makes it unbelievably affordable. It's also tremendous if you have a laptop since you are able to watch TV even if you're travelling. If you love TV you're a TV fan, it's worth considering!

Do-It-Yourself Videoconferencing

noreply@blogger.com (Manager's Review) — Fri, 14 Jan 2011 13:17:00 -0800

Do-It-Yourself Videoconferencing - What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Videoconferencing technology has made its way to the small screen, and you may be tempted to set up a videoconference amongst partners or even clients using low-cost Web-based services. Advertisements tell you that "all you need is a laptop and a webcam" but is that really true? Is videoconferencing really that easy? And if it is, should your firm start hosting do-it-yourself videoconferences?

http://www.edigitalvideo.org/

Services touting low-cost videoconferencing are plentiful. Some of the ones you may have heard about include Skype, Google Talk, Go To Meeting, and WebEx. Each of these services requires special software and a compatible computer, making this one of the first obstacles to a successful videoconference. Not only must you install software on your own system, so must all attendees. After installing the software, you will need to test your video and audio equipment to ensure that it works. If you do not have an integrated webcam and microphone, you will need to invest in the hardware and install that as well. For audio, you could also set up a phone bridge via a telephone conference calling provider, adding yet potential hassle to the videoconference.

Okay, all computers are set up and working - what could possibly go wrong? Plenty! You may discover that your videoconference is limited to fewer participants than expected; the video or sound quality could be poor; or computer noises (such as incoming email chimes and computer keystrokes) could interfere with the conference. Because all attendees must rely on an Internet connection, connectivity is a major concern. If Internet access is unreliable, a do-it-yourself videoconference could be disastrous!

Another concern with using do-it-yourself videoconferencing tools is the lack of control over the environment. For example, if you hired a litigation support company to set up and facilitate the videoconference in your conference room or went to a videoconferencing facility, you and your partners would be more likely to project a professional appearance throughout the session. On the other hand, if all partners signed in individually via their laptops, you have less control over the environment - and thus the image projected. While you may participate from the boardroom, another may participate from her home office and another from the local coffee house. This may be fine for informal chats, but off-putting when clients are involved.

Finally, some participants may opt to share a videoconferencing connection rather than setting up their own individual computers. While two users sitting in front of a laptop may work, this doesn't work for larger groups.

In short, if you're planning a do-it-yourself videoconference using inexpensive online tools, make sure that all participants:

• Download and install the necessary software

• Have software that supports the number of participants you intend on including

• Have working webcams and microphones

• Test their setups

• Have reliable Internet access

• Test their access and use the videoconferencing software

• Know how to join the videoconference

• Access to a quiet, professional environment

• Turn off any computer alerts that chime, chirp, or make noise

If you'd rather ensure a smooth, professional videoconference, dispense with the do-it-yourself tools and team up with a videoconferencing specialist. All you and your participants will need to do is show up and participate.

Can you Download Streaming Video?

noreply@blogger.com (Manager's Review) — Sun, 28 Nov 2010 09:41:00 -0800

Can you Download Streaming Video?

The sad truth is that there is no way to download streaming video options. Many people are disappointed when they learn this, especially since there are so many places that will offer streaming videos to individuals. Sometimes, there are websites that will require a fee from members in order for them to view the videos that the site has to offer, but they will offer streaming videos on the website. Many people may think that they can download streaming video clips, but this is a misconception. Streaming video is not a medium. Rather, the medium is the video, but the method of how the video is offered to the general public is streaming. Streaming is something that is constantly being offered or played for anyone to view. Television stations that are on twenty four hours a day are streaming. Just because you turn your television on during the day does not mean you are recording, or downloading, the video. That is how streaming video works, and why the ability to download streaming video does not work.

http://www.edigitalvideo.org/

However, there is an alternative solution to the problem people may be having when they want to download streaming video. There is software that they can purchase of download which would allow them to save the video or videos that they are seeing, which can save them money in the long run, especially if the individual is paying for a website that only offer streaming videos and they understand that they cannot ever actually download streaming video clips.

Many different websites will offer streaming videos, and others will offer videos of another types that you can actually download. However, these are not streaming videos and they will take longer to start up. This is because the information has to load before it can play, when the video is a download. However, when the video is a streaming video it starts right away and is connected immediately to the origin point. If a person is setting up their own website with videos on it, it will be very important that they know that they cannot offer to their customers that they would be able to download streaming video clips off of the website. This cannot be done and customers will be less likely to go to the site if that claim is made, since it is not possible and this will likely drive experienced website users away. However, streaming videos have their own benefits and are very quick and effective.

http://www.downloadflashmovie.com/

These benefits can be played up since they are very advantageous to a lot of people that are looking for effective and efficient videos from websites. Offering videos is often very nice for people that are looking for different mediums besides the written work on the internet through which they can learn information. The exchange of information is sometimes done faster through video, and the result can be that there is more of a connection between the individual and the topic in the story that they are learning about in the video, versus if it was written out. Sometimes images are just more powerful than words.

Digital Video Surveillance And Security

noreply@blogger.com (Manager's Review) — Sun, 14 Nov 2010 14:03:00 -0800

Digital Video Surveillance And Security

http://www.edigitalvideo.org/

"Digital Video Surveillance And Security" by Anthony C. Caputo is a comprehensive manual on IP-based electronic security systems. The author provides information on selecting the right hardware and software, areas of coverage, and the best camera positions to maximize effectiveness of newer technologies. Through clear descriptions and detailed illustrations, Caputo describes how to integrate the various components of a security system to meet various needs and budgets. This book in no way can be confused with a security pamphlet, for it is indeed a textbook on Digital Video Surveillance and Security.

The book starts with an introduction to Digital Video Security by providing a short intro, discussions on closed circuit television, Digital Video Security, general security, and a couple case studies. I liked that Caputo starts out with the goals of visual surveillance. These are deterrence, efficiency, capable guardian, and detection.

Part one of the book focuses on choosing the right equipment. Chapters include Digital Video Overview, Digital Video Hardware, Understanding Networks and Networked Video, and Wireless Networked Video. Each of these chapters has plenty of detail with diagrams, charts, and photographs to assist with learning. Each chapter has a summary or "chapter lessons" at the end, which is a bullet point list of the important concepts covered in the chapter.

Part two is about approaching the project. Chapters include Site Survey, Choosing the Right Software, DVS Archiving and Storage, Project Implementation, and Security Integration and Access Management. I especially liked some of the topics in the site survey chapter. It discussed license plate recognition, human recognition, and something very obvious, but something some may forget, you need power to have a camera. No power equals no camera.

The book contains an Appendix that contains a site survey readiness checklist and survey form. This eight page form covers the planning Caputo covers in the text. There is also a good index.

This is not a book for the person who wishes to install a simple security system in their home. Unless of course you want an elaborate system and are interested in the topic. This book is designed to assist the security professional who needs to install an IP-based security system. The book is detailed and at times complicated, but no so much that you can't follow or understand. Look at it as a textbook, and realize that it is a subject that needs to be studied in order to master. The knowledge and guidance from this text will enable the reader to not only better understand this new technology, but become competent in the planning and installation of these new video surveillance systems. Highly recommended for the security professional who wants or needs to understand and work with video surveillance and security systems.

How to Find a Simple Thin Digital Camera

noreply@blogger.com (Manager's Review) — Sun, 14 Nov 2010 04:38:00 -0800

Thin-digital-Camera

If you are looking for a simple thin digital camera then the best place to look is most likely on the web. There are many reviews that tell you about cameras and how they work and what type of features they have.
The only thing is that with this type of camera, your pictures may not be of great quality. The simpler it is the less expensive it is. Therefore, the less expensive it is the less quality your photos will be.
There are certain qualities you need to look for in a simple digital camera.
1) Focus - You need to be certain that you are not having difficulties getting your shot in focus. How impatient will someone on the opposite end of the camera will be if they are standing there waiting for you to get the camera in focus.
2) LCD Screen- Your screen should have the necessary features to display what type of picture you wish to take. You should not have a hard time trying to figure if you are going to take a portrait, landscape, do you want lighting, is it a still, etc. Don't you hate when you can't figure the features out on the screen?
3) Quality- Make sure the reviews or site in which you are purchasing gives you previews of what your photos may look like. It is necessary to know the quality of your photos before spending your hard earned money.
I know price is also a feature you find important when searching for a simple digital camera but I don't see the need in going into detail on this. Obviously you are going to search for the best price.

If you are still looking, then check out this review of a great camera. It is simple, easy to use, gives great quality and not too expensive.
