Listening to our ANGEL inside!!!

Today I feel like getting a bit spiritual.....so here comes another side of me!

In our daily life, every one of us observes IT! Some or the other thoughts are going on in our mind all the time - they guide us, remind us, and at times even stop us.

Some call it an inner voice; others call it a subconscious mind or even second mind.....I choose to call it my spirit or my ANGEL!

Just think back a little carefully - you will realize that some things that we are not even aware about and have never heard of, suddenly pop into our consciousness right when we need them. This is our angel trying to speak to us. It is always with us, but as we grow older and more 'wise', the voice starts to fade.

Yet, the angel refuses to go away. It always wants to protect us and be with us. When we avoid a mishap by a fraction of a second, it’s not a miracle, but our angel helping us as usual.....

Don't believe it? Well, just think - don't infant babies tend to smile all of a sudden. Looking at their beaming smile, it feels like the sun has suddenly come out of the clouds! This is because the baby is listening to its inner voice - its angel - and even talking with it.

So you too want to start listening to your spirit or angel, don't you? It really is simple. You have to observe carefully and the voice will start booming inside you. And if it’s not clear at first, just ask your angel to repeat - 'Please repeat it' and then see the difference! You may feel funny at first, as if nobody is there so whom am I talking to and listening to. But give yourself time and you will soon get used to it.

What’s more, we can even see our angel if we want to. It’s all around us everywhere - in the forest, rivers, trees, flowers, birds, animals and even human beings - in fact in the whole universe. It just means that we are related to everything that is surrounding us.

We can relate this angel to God. In fact, our angel is a form of God's energy that forms our basic potential.

All we have to do is invoke our angel, respect it and ask it to be with us!

So listening to our angel is the basic key to being happy and making others happy always and forever.....

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. - Alas, What Went Wrong???

F.R.I.E.N.D. – Ahh this very word brings lovely memories and a beautiful smile to our face! But can we put an exact meaning to it? It seems to be a very small word but very meaningful.

In fact, I think every person not only has a different view point but it also keeps changing with time. Meaning of friends is flexible and this makes it all the more interesting!

To me it’s FRI till END…..

As friends, should we judge them by their characteristics or accept them as it is? Their very nature attracted us to them in starting and developing a deep friendship. Or it could be that we actually create our own imaginary picture of a person that we don’t disclose to them. But after a while, being in constant contact, their true self is revealed which is contradictory to our imagination. And so, unfortunately, we lose interest! So the question is – should we accept our friends with their qualities as well as drawbacks or stick to our imaginary pictures of perfection?

It’s the fun of friendship that we all are very different and yet we can share everything without fearing a loss. Most importantly, it is expected from friends that if anything is going wrong or behaviour of anyone is troubling you, it should be pointed out and not e put aside or left over. What is the exact problem, what is wrong, should be discussed clearly. Speak about your feelings, fight it out also if you feel something wrong, but don’t let your friendship die down.

Sometimes, one small incident can change the whole scenario and mind set. Friends, who used to be very close and very time you felt an urge you could share even minor things, suddenly are deserted. Everything is going superb - sharing lots of ideas, thoughts and most importantly laughter, like a car running at full speed and suddenly…all four tyres are flat. No body to help you, to comfort you. Even the culprit (in the eyes of other), poor chap, doesn’t have any idea about what went wrong, where or even how. The poor heart cries that the situation is abnormal, but cannot figure out the reason.

Why did we drift apart? It is like this - converting water into wine to enliven a party is considered SIN by so called hypocrites of society, who will do everything to hurt others but will say…DRINKING IS SIN, LOVING OTHERS WITH FULL HEART IS SIN; you should behave in certain limits. OMG….God is Listening.

So, being in friendship is like riding in a ship all together. Take good care of your friends, maro, pito lekin never ever leave them alone, my dears!

Lets try another expansion of this acronym. How about........ Uma Minnal Payal?????

Yes, its not just one single woman, we are actually 3 friends whom fate has brought together by chance. Something just clicked and now we just cannot get enough of each other and our talks. So now we 'Three Musketeers' are looking for a platform to share our interesting thoughts, emotions and experiences. And believe me some of the things that we talk will set you off into gales of laughter for sure!

So who are UMP? We 3 women are well settled in our lives and careers - independent women of today running our own companies and yet being good home makers and even fun-loving social animals!! :)

Lets meet Uma - a strong-willed, confident and determined woman who has single-handedly built a successful overseas consultancy for recruitment in just 6 years - that too, right from scratch. What drives her is her motto - Flow like a River, Grow like a Tree! As unique as her personality for sure! :P

Now M stands for the pillar of our group - Minnal. With a popular event management company behind her, she adores children and even conducts occasional summer and winter camps that are always popular with both mothers and the kiddos! She is one fun loving and lively lady who believes that LIFE means Living In Full Enjoyment!

Coming to the end, P is for Payal - an eminent content writer since 6 years, she has even written for the esteemed 'The Hindu' newspaper. Writing has always been her passion which bloomed in her brilliant academic results and continues to do so. She is soft in our group but can read between the lines and is expert at twisting the simplest words to weird and funny meanings!

Hope we have not bored you till now? But now that you know us, get set and brace yourself for a totally roller coaster ride of hooting laughter combined with shrewd insights as well. Why UMP??

Why UMP?? - A funny and weird name for a blog I agree!

But UMP is what I always feel every time I think of starting a blog.

Can I do it? Answer - UMP

Will I be able to write? Answer - UMP

Will I even know what to write about? Answer – UMP

The doubts are endless and always end in an UMP!

So now that I have taken the plunge finally….I have decided to christen my blog after my feelings, and that is UMP!!!!

And I dedicate UMP to all you friends out there....this is gonna be about US….what we feel, what we want, what we like and don't like etc. etc.

And that doesn't mean its just about women and our cooking or gossiping or saas-bahu politics or hubby tiffs or even bringing up those irritating yet adorable kiddos! Even all this will be a part...... after all I do love to gossip like everyone else and what to share my truants too!!
But UMP is more about the real woman of substance hidden under all those caps that we wear. Yes we are interested in business, in technology, in politics, in the state of the economy as well as the spicy, raunchy, naughty stuff that we are not ‘supposed’ to like! :p
So does it mean that UMP is just for women? NO WAY!!!! Its about all of us - men, boys, girls and of course women....as you will see in the following posts.

So let’s start this roller coaster journey together today! Your opinions and suggestions are more than welcome as they will keep me going….So hop on guys!
