British actress Kate Winslet has slammed super-skinny celebs for spawning a "whole new generation of anorexics".

In an interview to Good Housekeeping magazine, the 'Titanic' star slammed women with size-zero waistlines, for she said that they were the reason why an increasing number of women were developing eating disorders, just so they could get that perfect figure.

"It seems to me that (Hollywood) is breeding a whole new generation of anorexics. I look at people and I want to say 'Look, it's alright you can eat something'" the Daily Mail quoted her, as telling the mag.

Winslet also admitted that she's aware of the fact that some women see her as her role model because she's proud of her 'normal shape', and insisted that she was not going to give up on food because she wants to be skinny.

"I think I have become something of a role model because I came out and said: 'Hey, I've got a normal shape'...It's important for me to stand by the fact that I eat real food and am not on a diet everyday," she said.

Winslet, who admits that she 'notices' when she's eating or drunk a bit too much, insisted that she didn't intentionally avoid foods as most weight-obsessed celebs.

"I just don't worry about my weight anymore. I notice it, if I've enjoyed a Christmas vacation and I have had too many glasses of champagne or too many canapes. But I don't avoid anything and I am not a fanatic," the five-time Oscar nominee insisted.

As Gwen Stefani plans an extensive spring tour to promote her newly released second solo album, she says a reunion with her bandmates in No Doubt will have to wait for the foreseeable future.

"I see it on the horizon, but I'm not focussing on it. Life is going by way too quick," she told Billboard.com. "I can't really put a timetable on it, but I think it would be really great. Nothing can compare to the energy of the four of us onstage."

Bassist Tony Kanal told Billboard.com in March that he'd begun working on music for the band's next record, but it is unknown how far along that process is.

No Doubt has been silent since a 2003 singles collection, which featured its hit cover of Talk Talk's "It's My Life." The group's last studio album was 2001's "Rock Steady," which debuted at No. 9 on The Billboard 200.

Since then, Stefani has exploded as a solo star, thanks to 2004's "Love.Angel.Music.Baby." The brand new CD "The Sweet Escape," released last week, has already spawned a top 10 Hot 100 hit in "Wind It Up."

Asked if she's already working on concepts for her spring tour, Stefani said, "To be honest, no. I only finished doing vocals on this record a month ago at the most. I'm in the middle of promoting it now, so in January we'll start to think about the tour."

"It's really exciting to have all these songs to choose from," she continued. "On the last tour, I only had one album, so it was like, "OK! I guess these are the songs that I'm doing." Now, I will get to choose the best and most delicious tracks. But it's a bit overwhelming to think up all the concepts for the staging."

Scarlett Johansson claims nobody ogled her when she stripped off for the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

The ‘Lost In Translation’ star - who was photographed naked with British actress Keira Knightley - insists no one took a second look when the pair’s underwear was removed.

Scarlett told Esquire magazine: “We were going to be wearing thongs but the stylist snipped them off. Here we are, Keira and I, and we’re totally naked, and some guy is on his BlackBerry. Everyone was busy working. But I guess it’s better than if they were all looking at me. It was surprisingly comfortable.”

Meanwhile, Scarlett has vowed to strip for a movie - one day.

The ‘Black Dahlia’ actress, famed for her curves, insists she is ready to bare-all for the right part.

She said: “I’m still making up my mind about when I’ll do a nude scene. I’m not opposed to doing nudity, it would just have to be the right project, maybe some sensational European art film.”

Tom Cruise, Mel Gibson and Angelina Jolie are the actors most likely to turn Americans off watching a film, according to a new poll in trade magazine Editor and Publisher.

In the survey, one in three people said they would avoid anything the newlywed Cruise starred in, and only 12 per cent of participants would choose to watch his films.
Mel Gibson and Girl, Interrupted actress Angelina Jolie also proved unpopular among movie-goers, with only 15 and 18 per cent of the votes respectively.

Tom Hanks topped the poll as America's favourite Hollywood star, and was closely followed by Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts and Will Smith.

Donald Trump announced at a news conference today that the Miss USA organization is going to let Tara Conner keep her crown, despite “behavioral and personal issues” which included going to bars even though she’s underage.

Trump said he believed she made bad mistakes but deserves a second chance, and would undergo therapy for her problems.

“I want to apologize to my family,” Tara Conner said while brushing away tears. “I swear I will not let you down.”

Saying that Tara “got caught up in the whirlwind that is New York,” The Donald announced he concluded that she deserved a chance to redeem herself.

“I’ve always been a believer in second chances,” he said. “Tara is a good person, Tara has tried hard, Tara is going to be given a second chance … she’s a good person. If she wasn’t a good person, I wouldn’t have done this, believe me.”

He added that “many of the allegations about Tara were false,” but would not comment on drug testing or get into further specifics.

The Miss Universe Organization is owned by Trump and NBC.

Sharon Stone and Christian Slater are dating and plan to spend Christmas together, it has been claimed.

Rumours have been rife the pair have been romancing one another since meeting on the set of new movie 'Bobby'.

They have even attended several showbiz events together - including the recent Dolce and Gabbana party at Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont Hotel at which they arrived arm-in-arm - but refused to admit they were an item.

Now a source close to 48-year-old Stone has insisted they are dating, and claims the 'Basic Instinct' actress is going to invite Slater, 37, to her house for Christmas.

The source is quoted as saying: "They're both really happy - but they don't have long-term expectations. It's a fun fling for the holidays and Sharon is a good influence. She rarely drinks and has three kids. It's a good match for now."

Slater's divorce from ex-wife Ryan Haddon was finalised in November.

The Oscar-winning actress, who has confirmed she has finished working on her self-titled debut album ‘Halle’, wants to be admired for more than her acting talents.

She told Ebony magazine: “I’ve always loved to sing and this album will show people that I can do more than act.”

The album was originally due to be released on January 9, but her hectic filming schedule has pushed the date back to February 6.

The ‘Monster’s Ball’ actress has reportedly recorded tracks with Timbaland and Jamie Foxx – who begged Halle for a date this summer.

He said: “Halle is so beautiful. She is the only actress I’ve ever met who looks even better in the flesh than on screen. She is close to amazing and I don’t care if she knows what I think. My approach is always to be direct.”

Halle, 40, who is dating Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, recently revealed she likes to dress up as her ‘X-Men’ character Storm to “spice up” her sex life.

She said: “Yeah, I wear the rubber suit sometimes. You have to keep your life spiced up. Storm never has sex in the movies - but Storm has a lot of sex at my house.”

Jessica Simpson almost became an agoraphobic following her divorce from Nick Lachey.

The Dukes of Hazzard actress hid away at home after the split and her family feared she would become a recluse because she suffered panic attacks when they forced her to go out.

A source told Britain's More magazine: "Earlier this year, she started staying home more and more.

"Her problems developed for a while and got worse after her divorce from Nick.

"She barely left the house unless she was working. It got so bad she suffered panic attacks. It felt as if the world was closing in on her. Her blood pressure rose, she got dizzy and she actually felt as if she was suffocating."

But thanks to her family and friends Jessica, 25, got her confidence back and she has been stepping out with confidence to attend parties and show off her curvy figure.

Britney Spears finally appears to be acting like a new mum.

The pop star, who recently made headlines for a rash of less-than-motherly hard partying, fell asleep in a Las Vegas nightclub shortly after leading the New Year's Eve countdown, her manager said.

"By about one o'clock, she was just done, so we took her out," Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, said today.

"She was not drunk. She was just tired and falling asleep."

Rudolph denied reports circulating on gossip web sites that Spears, 25, collapsed shortly after midnight and was carried out by bodyguards.

The star was hired to host the festivities at Ceasars Palace's Pure nightclub.

Rudolph said Spears walked out of the club and did not seek medical attention.

"There is nothing out of the ordinary here," he said.

Spears was travelling with her two sons, three-month-old Jayden James and one-year-old Sean Preston.

She filed for divorce in November from her husband of two years, Kevin Federline.

In a statement on her web site posted earlier this month, Spears noted that in recent nights out - one in which she flashed her apparent lack of underwear to the paparazzi - she may have taken her "new found freedom a little too far".

Jackie Chan said on his Web site Tuesday that he has a new film company in China.

"I just started a company in China and I will be producing 10 films," Chan said on his official Web site.

The action star, who is currently filming "Rush Hour 3" said he plans to use vacation time to scout talent and ideas for the 10 projects.

"I need to meet the new directors. I need to read the screenplays and listen to ideas for more screenplays. I need to look at director reels to hire more directors for this big project," he said.

Chan also said he is scheduled to make a commercial with retired boxer George Foreman in China, but didn't give details.

Chan has continued to make Chinese-language movies alongside his Hollywood films. He recently released the action comedy "Rob-B-Hood," about a group of kidnappers who have a change of heart after stealing a baby and don't turn him over to their employers.

"I'm honored. I think it's going to be great," Lopez told The Associated Press from Los Angeles prior to the announcement by Country Music Television Inc.'s officials in Nashville, Tenn. The pageant will air Jan. 29 from the Aladdin Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

Having proved he can dance on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," the 33-year-old actor ("Saved by the Bell") said he didn't plan to sing the pageant's "There She Is, Miss America" theme made famous by longtime Miss America host Bert Parks.

"I really don't sing," Lopez said. "I like to sing, but I don't sing well."

Lopez replaces James Denton, a star from ABC's "Desperate Housewives," who hosted last year's 85th annual pageant in Las Vegas.

A recorded version of Parks singing the anthem played as Miss Oklahoma Jennifer Berry was crowned at last year's pageant, held for the first time outside Atlantic City, N.J.

Sarah Brock, CMT executive producer and vice president, said show producers were excited about Lopez's popularity, previous pageant hosting experience and "undeniable charm." Terms of his one-year deal weren't made public.

Lopez recalled hosting other pageants including a Miss Teen USA pageant in 2003 in Palm Springs, Calif. He attributed recent scandals involving beauty queens in other pageants to mistakes by a select few contestants.

He also downplayed reports that he was linked romantically with his "Dancing With the Stars" partner, professional dancer Karina Smirnoff. The couple placed second in the ABC program to former Dallas Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith and partner Cheryl Burke.

Adult film star Jenna Jameson is in talks to bring her autobiography to the big screen and the porn queen has her sights on Scarlett Johansson for the lead role.

Jameson’s 2004 autobiography, How to Make Love like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale, detailed her storied and wildly successful career in the adult film industry, from her beginnings in 1993, through the ending of her second marriage in 2006.

“I'm in talks to make my book into a movie. It looks like we're going to be selling it to a big movie company and go into production next year,” the affable professional pelvis told FHM magazine. “We're looking, hopefully, at Scarlett Johansson. She's my choice. I think she's beautiful.”

Johansson has neither confirmed nor denied any involvement in the project. In related news, we will definitely deny the shame wood we experience when imagining Jameson’s possible “audition” techniques.

'Monster' star Charlize Theron has been named the actress with the best legs in Hollywood in a poll conducted by a US magazine.

According to In Touch magazine, the credit for conferring this honour to the actress goes to her ballerina background that helped shape her long legs.

Theron beat Gisele Bundchen and Jennifer Anniston to claim the top spot in the competition, reports Contactmusic.

Not all is well in beauty-queen land.

Former Miss USA Susie Castillo is blasting reigning queen Tara Conner for tarnishing the image of the pageant.

Conner went into rehab after reports of heavy drinking and use of other controlled substances — and pageant head Donald Trump said the Kentucky native should get a “second chance.” But Castillo isn’t so forgiving.

“Whether you like it or not, you’re a role model. It’s not the job of Miss USA to be in rehab,” Castillo, a host of MTV’s “TRL,” tells the Feb/March issue of Complex magazine. “Other girls worked hard to give [the title] a positive name, and it’s going to be tarnished for a very long time now.”

Castillo also had harsh words that seemed aimed at Britney Spears, although she didn’t mention the “Toxic” singer by name.

“My mom always taught me to behave a certain way,” she told the mag. “So I’m not going to get out of a car and have no panties on. Why would you want to show the world your vagina? Hello?”

Pamela Anderson doesn't mind stripping for the camera, but she just can't see a nude picture of herself afterwards.

The busty blonde was recently left embarrassed after a fan asked her to sign a naked picture while she was with her sons.

The former "Baywatch" actress - who has two sons, Dylan and Brandon, with her ex-husband Tommy Lee - was approached by the brazen fan as she left a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game.

Pam Bam said, "Someone was trying to shove this naked picture at me and the boys go, 'Mom, they were trying to get you to sign naked pictures.' They were disgusted."

The 39-year-old is not the only "Baywatch" beauty who has refused to sign nude pictures of herself recently. Carmen Electra - who has posed naked for Playboy magazine - was happily autographing pictures for fans as she left Hollywood restaurant Mr. Chow earlier this month but stopped signing when presented with a naked photograph.

Carmen said, "I feel weird signing nude!"

The model-and-actress got in her car and left the rest of the fans' pictures unsigned.

London's Daily Mirror quotes Stefani as saying, "I used to live in the same area as Britney for a while. I just want to scoop her up and give her a kiss. I hope she's all right. She's just had a new baby and stuff. I hope she can just enjoy it because it's an incredible thing."

Like Kelly Clarkson and Britney's ex, Justin Timberlake, Gwen said that she liked Britney's new bald look. She said, "She looks good with her hair shaved off."

Britney Spears is "doing great" in rehab according to ex-patient and Hollywood star, Daniel Baldwin.

The actor told US Weekly mag that he offered Britters his support when he bumped into her as he was leaving the centre, following his own treatment for drug addiction.

The actor said, "She seemed a little fearful", but added, "she knows she needs some help."

He also gave the shaven-headed popstar his phone number so she could keep in touch - and offered these words of wisdom: "Don’t drink, don’t use." Well duh!

Just staying put in the centre would be an achievement for Britney after being in, out, in, and out of Promises rehab clinic last week.

Amy, 25, only managed to play a repetitive tune using two notes on her $5,000 guitar and eventually became so frustrated she smashed up the instrument and began screeching that Satan was giving her drugs.

An eyewitness said: "She lost it."

This latest incident has prompted fears for Amy's mental health again.

Earlier this month, it was reported she had threatened to kill herself with a knife because she was missing her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who is currently serving a 27-month sentence for grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.

Last month, the "Rehab" singer made a shambolic appearance at London's Berkeley Square Ball - an annual charity event in aid of The Prince's Trust.

Amy was supposed to sing backing vocals for her 12-year-old goddaughter Dionne - who was performing at the event in a bid to launch her music career - but only managed to mumble a few words.

Later, she reportedly hit out at a fan who asked for an autograph.

She was heard sobbing: "This isn't a life - it's a mess. Life can't go on. I can't do this any more."

Meanwhile, Mark Ronson has revealed the name of the track he and Amy are covering for a tribute album to legendary producer Quincy Jones.

The pair are lending their talents to "You Don't Own Me," which was originally a hit for 60s singer Leslie Gore.

His comments have outraged children's organizations, with The Autism Society of America responding "For Mr. Leary to suggest that families or doctors conspire to falsely diagnose autism is ridiculous."

Madonna and Guy, whose nearly eight-year marriage came to an end Wednesday, are set to divorce by Christmas.

Heartbroken director Guy has now admitted to friends how much the pair's love deteriorated in recent months.

According to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, the "RocknRolla" filmmaker told friends: "I'm afraid the laughs in our life together were long gone. She's obsessed with her own public image, obsessed with being seen as some kind of global soothsayer. It's silly, she's a pop star."

"I just wanted a regular husband and wife thing. But it was always a great song and dance just to do ordinary stuff."

"There was a time when she used to have a sense of humor about herself. In the last few years she just got angry. In the end, we had no proper family life at all. We were two different people, living two different lives."

Madonna, 50, has hit back claiming Guy, 40, was selfish and put his own interests ahead of his family.

According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, the "4 Minutes" singer has accused her spouse of refusing to spend his own money, ignored her pleas to spend more time in New York and shunned her faith in the Kabbalah religion.

She also says he wouldn't support her emotionally over plans to adopt a second child and increasingly quarreled about her career eclipsing his own.

Guy is "incandescent with rage" over the allegations, branding his wife's faith a "weird religion."

A source said: "Guy's initial support and interest in Kabbalah turned to annoyance and hatred. Guy doesn't believe Kabbalah is a religion on a par with Christianity. He thinks a lot of it is hokum - which has infuriated Madonna."

Proceedings in the divorce case are said to have already been set in motion with Madonna hiring top lawyer Fiona Shackleton - who previously represented both Prince Charles and Beatles musician Paul McCartney in their divorce battles - and has reportedly already issued Guy with legal papers.

It is believed the estranged pair are determined to settle the divorce without the need to go to court.

Sources say Guy reluctantly signed a pre-nuptial agreement before the marriage, guaranteeing him only a lump sum payout instead of a share of Madonna's estimated $450 million fortune, while other sources say he has said wants "not one penny" of her money.

The couple, who were first reported to have marriage troubles in June, raise three children together - Lourdes, 12, Madonna's child by dancer Carlos Leon, Rocco, eight, and adopted David Banda, two.

It is not clear who will get custody of the children.
