Aerides suavissima described from specimen taken from Malacca. In general appearance it is similar to Aerides odorata. This orchid in fragrance more balsemic and delicious, The sepals and petals are white and lilac tip, the lip is pale nankin or pale lemon colour, with lilac streak a long the centre of middle lobe.

Habit of Dipodium pictum. Inflorescences longer, with about 18 flowers. Sepals and petals 13-14 mm long, dull medium yellow with crimson blotches on both surfaces. Sepals concave, boat-shaped, 6 mm wide when flattened. Petals slightly concave. Lip 12 mm long, 3-lobes from the base, side lobes nearly white, narrow, lying close to column and little longer than it, with rounded ends, mid lobe 9 mm long, hardly 4 mm wide, tip acute, edges somewhat reflexed, upper surface alomost cover with white hairs between side lobes at the base.

Originally dicribed from plant cultivated at Bogor (Buitenzorg) java; Only know in Malaya a collection from Sungkap forest reserve, near Sungai Patani, Kedah.

Our specimen below collected from Kampung Kupang Kedah, by Keladu Senja. This is very special collcetion, because there is no photo Dipodium parviflora before origin from Peninsular Malaysia for public, this is endemic one.

,Orchid Chiloschista sweelimii is a orchid endemic from Northern Perak, Peninsular Malaysia. It is describe first time by Prof. Richard Erick Holttum (20.7.1895-18.9.1990) at Journal Orchid Review No. 74 page 147 at year 1966. The publication can be read at LINK.

~Chiloschista sweelimii adalah satu species orkid tempatan berbentuk seperti akar dan tidak berdaun yang hanya boleh dijumpai di alam semulajadi bahagian utara negeri Perak, Peninsular Malaya. Orkid dari genera Chiloschista ini diterbitkan pertama kali oleh Prof. Richard Erick Holttum (20.7.1895-18.9.1990) di Jurnal Orchid Review nombor 74 laman 147 tahun 1966. Terbitan boleh di dirujuk melalui LINK dan berjaya menjadi new orkid species tempatan asli dari Malaya.~
