After very long sabbaticals from the Blogdom I am back again, though not totatlly rejuvenated. While browsing some of my favorite blogs, I came across a beautiful poem by Helen Steiner Rice, so searched for her and found this site http://www.poemsonly.com/ . And this poem by Helen Steiner Rice caught my eyes which aptly describes my current mindset. Thank You Helen for writing such a lovely poem. So wanted to share it with you all out there.

People need people and friends need friends
And we all need love for a full life depends
Not on vast riches or great acclaim,
Not on success or on wordly fame,
But just in knowning that someone cares
And holds us close in their thoughts and prayers-
For only the knowledge that we're understood
Makes everyday living feel woderfully good,
And we rob ourselves of life's greatest need
When we"lock up our hearts" and fail to heed
The oustretched hand reaching to find
A kindered spirit whose heart and mind
Are lonely and longing somehow to share
Our joys and sarrows and to make us aware
That life's completness and richness depends
On the things we share with our loved ones
and friends.

"All of us have come with the same seed. Though every seed has come with the same possibility, between a seed and a tree, there is a journey to be made.

If you want the seed to become a tree, you have to nurture it, protect it; there are weeds that you have to take care of. The same weeds have been bothering us since ages; still we haven't figured out how to handle them.

Anger, hatred, jealousy, fear, doubt-the same silly weeds have lasted too long because weeds do not need nurturing, they need no protection nor cultivation. They just grow.

If you want a sacred seed to sprout and prosper, you have to clear the weed, cultivate the land, add manure and provide for water and sunlight. If you are afraid of the harshness of the sunlight and avoid it, you will also avoid its life-nourshing warmth. So do not waste your time by constantly going through the same nonsense that we have gone through for a million years".

Brightest Full Moon of 2010

I was as a child and now in my mid fifties am still fascinated by the moon and stars and the heavenily bodies of the night sky. Today, I got up around 4:30am in the morning and went to the balcony to feel the cold chilly breeze and LO! what I see as soon as I open the door to the balcony, the full moon was peeping at me with big smile and at that moment I missed my camera which is in need of some repair. Not giving up I clicked with my mobile and the result is here for you to see:-

Lunar spectacle tonight

According to Space.com the largest, brightest and first full moon of this year will be rising tonight, 20th January 2010. It will be seen in its full glory at around 8pm tonight. As an added attraction, Mars will be visible just towards the left of the moon as the reddish star-like object. To Read More......

I love nature and like to capture the beautiful moments in my memory and share with everyone out there in this universe; no matter how poorly I am equipped (just a mobile phone) no matter how ignorant I am about photography still I try to capture certain beautiful moments when I am happy like a child so that I can turn back the moments whenever I want:) may be say next year or next decade or perhaps much later and I am sure they will remain as fresh as they are today as they won't get worn out as they are safely preserved here!!

The other day I told you that winter has set in here and it is getting colder and colder. I don't even venture out in the balcony:) especially late night and early morning as it would be too cold with cool breeze blowing. Recently, my son graduated and we couldn't attend his graduation ceremony as it meant going all the way to UK, which was out of question. We were happy to see the streaming coverage of the ceremony on his University's website and later he sent his snaps.

How time flies, only the other day he was a naughty brat now he is a grown up adult ready to leave the nest. These thoughts and cold had made me some what depressed and was sitting out in the cold balcony, reflecting my journey through all theses years and suddenly a whiff of hot comforting smell brought me back to the present and lo! my hubby dear sensing my mood had prepared a hot bowl of comfort NOODLES:)
