Fairy Tale High @ Wal-Mart

2013-09-14T15:52:00.000-07:00

Earlier this morning at Wal-Mart I found a new set of dolls called Fairy Tale High. These dolls are priced at $18.When I saw them i was all like "ooooh these are kind neat and where is a ethnic doll!" But sadly there are none yet!

From a glance they have similar bodies to Winx Club dolls. They are articulated at the knee, wrist, and elbow.

Here are all the dolls offered in the line

Alice from Wonderland, Belle from Beauty & the Beast, and Sleeping Beauty.

Cinderella

TinkerBell and Rapunzel

Snow White and the Little Mermaid

Back Box Art

I also found their website here!

I'm not sure if I will be getting one but if I do Alice be my top pick!

More Fashion Madness

2013-08-29T08:37:00.001-07:00

So I decided to go back to Wal-Mart and get more pics of the kenya dolls for you guys. I mostly took pics of the guys and Kenya's friend Denise, I still haven't seen Kenya's sister Keyshia yet, but im sure she will show up soon.

Here are the guys

Dwayne: Cool and casual

TJ: Get fit

TJ: Weekend Hang

Dwayne : Everyday

TJ: Night Out

TJ: Everyday

Denise: Movin on

I also noticed that they stocked these versions of Kenya. Now these are the basic versions of her and they retail at $9.97. Their are quite a few different themes to the basic ones like the 2 you see above Sunny Days and Summer fun (I like the summer outfit). Im still not sure why these are $9.97 and the others are $14.97 cause your not paying for anything extra from what I see.

(More pics of the $14.97 dolls)

They also had Mini Kenya in stock.

Now to get off Kenya for awhlle now, are these Fashionistas new? Im not sure if they are or aren't. I might have just not paid them any attention. For some reason I thought that Life In the Dreamhouse dolls would take over and their wouldn't be any more Fashionistas. Isn't that how it usually works?

Fashion Madness @ Wal Mart

2013-08-26T23:20:00.001-07:00

While on one of my late night runs to Wally world, to check the toy clearance aisle, Guess who I ran across? Ms. Kenya and the Fashion Madness Crew. They finally added the guys from the line, TJ and Dwayne.

(The retail price for them is 14.97)

As some of you know I'm not really a fan of Ms. Kenya from this post. So I'm really hoping the guys would turn it around for me. Just by looking at them I'm still iffy about them only because the guys heads are so huge.

Maybe if their heads were a little smaller and they were articulated at the at the elbow like a flavas Tre, then maybe i could see myself keeping one for more than just clothes. Speaking of clothes their clothes look pretty cool, just from looking at them I seriously doubt that the pants would fit a ken doll but, IDK that's just from looking at them. Their were about 4 different versions of Kenya and about 3 different versions of Tj and 2 of Dwayne. I didn't really take a whole lot of pics only a few just to show what walmart has sprung on me. BTW my Wal- Mart has really surprised me about 3/4 of the toys are now on clearance and I have seen new arrivals from Life in the Dreamhouse(Barbie and Ken only) and S.I.S mentoring packs, Bratz heroes, and even the Sparkle Girlz got a piece of the spotlight.

At the end of the night I only left with one of the Ken fashionistas Muff Blogged about and a few craft items. Thats all I really needed right?

Who's new and What's What!!

2013-05-08T03:56:00.001-07:00

Hey guys! How are you all? I'm doing great myself! I know its been awhile since i posted here on blogger i just so busy with school and work. Now that he semester is over and I'm on a break for awhile, I will try to stay posting on here and my try to dust off my YouTube and Facebook accounts. Now that I have the time I will show off my new guys and gals that I have purchased in the past few months. Some are new, some old and some have been modified.

So my first set here is kind of a teen scene.

(Ariel, Howleen,Sharpay,Skipper, Belle)

I purchased the Ariel, Skipper, and Belle heads from Ms.Leo. The are all on a Liv Bodies that I got from eBay. Sharpay Is from eBay as well, she has taken over a 1st wave fashionista body.Dance Class Howleen(my first Monster high chick) is sporting a Liv Alexis body herself, I couldn't keep her the original body mainly because I didn't want to buy fashion packs just for her. I know its being a little cheap, but oh well she doesn't seem to mind at all!!!

I purchased these guys awhile back also. I bought the AA GI Joe and the 2 power team guys from eBay also. I found the Hip Hop version of Flavas Tre on The DollPage. He is one of the better versions I have seen that Mattel had produced next to the awards show version.

I also picked up 3 of new SIS dolls from Wal-Mart. Grace is the last one I need but sadly they haven't restocked them yet! I'm really liking the facial features and hair quality of them. Great job Mattel!(for once)

I finally got this chick on a body Ive had her for about 2 years now I just never photographed her because she wasn't articulated. She is now sporting the new SIS Kara body and if must say mama's looking good!

Hey Look Brandy is back!!! Yes after a 6 month hiatus(due to my laziness) she has been fully re rooted using just plain black yarn for micro braid/dread lock look. At first I was using Katsilk hair, but after seeing a few pics on Flickr using yarn to do dreadlocks I switched up and gave this a try. Re-rooting with yarn is fairly easy and also easy to style. If anyone is interested I am willing to show you how to do it.

OK, Now this right here is about the greatest thing I found! A close skin tone match for for the barbie basic AA ken. Its a tad off but its very close, but with clothes on you can barely tell. This is an XT1 X Series Tan colour action figure body. I purchased this body from store-rooms.com for about $24.99 with free shipping from China. The XT1 body comes in three skin tones pale, tan, and black.

This body originally belonged to my Andromeda Tyr Anansi figure. But he was so nice to share with Ken I decided to purchase another body for him off Ebay this time. Action figure bodies come with extra hands, feet, and 2 types of neck joints. As far as clothing goes he can fit JB clothes pretty well and maybe a few ken shirts here and there.

As for my YouTube account I am working on a new patio set up for summer time. It needs a little more tweaking to it. Because this grass scrapbook paper isn't working for me. I think I might do the chairs as a tutorial also. Something tells me I got alot of work ahead of me so SEE YA!

Dear Mattel,

2013-02-21T17:45:00.001-08:00

I decide to take little initiative to do this on their wall. If you feel the same way I do please pass this along. Write on their wall or like my comment please lets get the ball rolling on this!!The revolution has BEGUN!!!!

Project Overload

2013-02-02T18:26:00.000-08:00

Well Hello Everyone!!!! First post of the year. I hope you all are having a great year so far I know I am. Well, I recently have been experimenting with my dolls thanks to Muff who has brought out the inner Frankenstein in me to modify my guys and gals. So lets get started shall we.

Ms. Trichelle was the first girl to catch a makeover. I re-did her eyeshadow using a BIC permanent marker in Fandingo pink. I re-inked her lips using a Faber Castell pen in pink carmine 127. I also shaved her head and gave her this great wig I purchased from Tablaoch productions here is the link to her etsy store.

Also to match the attitude ms thing is giving I renamed her Nicki. More photos of Nicki are on my flickr.

Now Ken was another story. He got the full treatment. He was the first real repaint, flocking and re rooting I have ever done. I used the ken that I had from the Toys R us exclusive kid picks. I repainted him using acrylic paints and sealed the paint using mod podge. I re rooted him using black orchid saran hair.....I think I can't really remember since I did this a while ago. I flocked the sides of his hair using black flocking material I purchased from restoredoll.com. The look I was going for was Dynamite Girls Hot Stuff Cruz look.(not my flickr page) I think I kinda got the look I was going for, but it looks like he has a little more makeup on him.

The last to receive treatment was My extra Flavas Tre. His hair which was originally blond( which i definitely hated with a passion) has been re flocked with the black flocking and i changed his eye color to blue using another BIC permanent marker. He looks 100% better w/o the blond.

My current project is re rooting Ms. Brandy with the left over hair from ken project.

Idk if you have noticed the quality of my photos but I built a light box and I must say I love the look of the photos. You can check out a few photos I have taken using the light box on my Flickr.

I also recently splurged on a Dynamite girls Electro Pop Dayle.

Well that is all for now I will see you guys later. Tell me what you guys think of modifications!

See you soon?

Movin on Kenya!

2012-12-10T19:22:00.000-08:00

I Finally got my hands on the New Kenya Doll and let's just say I'm not really impressed. And here's why....

Kenya has the body of a 1st wave fashionista . I feel really cheated because i could have gotten this body for waaaayyyy cheaper off eBay.

Her bust is wider and does not poke out as much as a fashionista. She has a thick neck, huge head and a really generic face paint. She has really great hair quality it's really thick and voluminous.

The parts of her that bend are different shades of color. Her shins and feet are like 2 shades darker than her thigh. Not cute at all.

MAJOR DRAWBACK:

Is her clothes. Its 2012 going on 2013 why does Kenya looked like just stepped out of the 90's. I mean this outfit would be cute if it were 1995 maybe. Its not just this outfit above its all of the outfits that each doll comes with. I'm just not understanding why she doesn't dress like Shanica Knowles aka Kenya in the music video. I felt as if they could a better job all around with her. I also tried to head swap her and she almost broke. I seriously almost had a WTF moment with her because her neck cracked and the joints were about tear apart.

SO WHAT DO I LIKE ABOUT KENYA:

I love the fact that she comes in different skin colors, I think she would be good choices for Chandra dolls or others with a darker complexion for a head swap if possible. I also love the message she sends to girls everywhere that you can proud of yourself.

Overall I think that they could have done better Especially at the price the charge for this chick. I do think Kenya has potential if they change a few things and tweak her design a little more then I would definitely be more interested.

(Kenya redressed)

More than dolls around here!

2012-12-10T18:25:00.000-08:00

2012-10-23T22:15:00.001-07:00

So earlier today I decided to go see my sister at her job, but she wasn't there so decided to look around the store. If you don't remember the store Dirt Cheap you can check out my last blog here. So I walked straight to the toy aisle and guess what I saw..... Justin Beiber Dolls!!!!!!. Oh YEAh! Now I'm not a fan of the Biebs but his doll outfits are seriously awesome and guess what all toys were 50% off the sticker price. Each one had a different price, couldn't figure out why nor could the sale associate but any who it was a great deal so I didn't care!!

(click the pic to see them larger)
These are the 4 Biebers that they had on the shelves I got one of each take a look below to see how much I paid for each one.

Can you believe I didn't pay no more than 10 bucks for each one!!!

Here are the outfits and great accessories out of the box!

AHS update

I am deciding to take my time with AHS I don't want to overwhelm myself with all these projects I have going on but I will continue the stories soon as I get the chance.

SEE YOU SOON!!!

Local Finds

2012-10-08T17:24:00.000-07:00

So last Thursday I went out to to handle a few things and decided to stop by my sisters job. She works at a store called Dirt Cheap. Now Dirt cheap is one of those place where when one store cant sell something or have an abundance of something they send it to this store. Now Dirt Cheap is looks just like it sounds its a mess but only because the customers make it that way after the products are set out. I have found some really good things there in this store so I decide to show what I saw when I visited the other day. Some of these items came from Target. All of the prices were 60% off the green sticker price.

They had the Victorius Dolls I didn't get the price of these because I really wasnt interested in this toy, but that is a nice dress she is wearing.

They had the some LPS Blythe outfits I remember this from Muff's blog but I only have one Kelly sized kid so I decided to leave this there.

I also saw this little house there I dont know what it is but but it had nice little items that look perfect but I left that there too.

So what did I get?

These awesome Tech Deck stairs!!!! I will use these for the front of AHS. I am already loving these stairs and on the hunt for more of these. The sticker price for this was $19.99 with 60% off it was $8.56! Score!! I'm pretty sure they were from Target, but if they aren't who cares I got a great price for them in my opinion.

Next to Dirt Cheap is Dollar Tree I saw these little stacking games with chairs and cups. The chairs look like they could fit kelly sized dolls and the cups might be a little too big but you could use them like huge margarita glasses.

The last place I went to was Wal-Mart to their to toy clearance aisle. Well when I got there I must have missed everything because a JB doll and a Stardoll fashion pack was the only thing I saw. I already have the stardoll set but that JB doll would be a nice edition he has nice clothing and a great boombox. But even in the discount aisle he is still to much he was $20 and I had to leave him there.

So happy I found those stairs now its time to build the front of AHS!

See you soon!!

Another look at AHS

The Day Before Pt.1 (photostory)

2012-09-23T18:42:00.000-07:00

Payton, Skai, and Kimora are sitting in Payton's room discussing their upcoming junior year.

Kimora:"Oh I am so excited for school tomorrow we're finally Juniors!!"

Skai:"Yea! Maybe we can get a little recognition. Because being a sophomore is like being the middle child no one cares about you."

Payton:"OK!"

Payton:"But that's all over the mighty class of 2014 is ready to rock and roll!! This our time to make some big decisions!"

Kimora:"Soooo I see someone is pumped. Does this mean you're going to ask out Daven "

Payton: "Maybe!!!"

Skai:"Translation NO!! LOL!

Skai: "I mean you to have been playing this circle game for the past 2 years you better snatch him up before lil miss moneybags tries to snatch him up!!!"

Payton: "Who are you talking about?!! I know not Chandra!!"

Kimora: "Yep! That's exactly who she's talking about!"

Payton:"PLEASE!!! Daven only likes real girls, not a girl with so much weave in her head she can build a horse from scratch!!! "

Kimora& Skai: "LOL"

Kimora: "WOW! I see someone had a little meow mix this morning!"

Skai: "I Know Right! A lil feisty today!"

Payton: "Well I'm not worried about her and her lil crew of followers"

Skai: "Oh yea, I forgot about those two, wonder what they did this summer?"

Payton: "They do what they do best, wait at home for their owner to return like the puppies they are!"

Skai & Kimora: "LOL!!!!"

Ebay purchases and Something special!!!

2012-09-10T15:31:00.002-07:00

EBay Purchases

Before I get to my something special I would like to show you a few things I got from eBay.

I purchased a few items from the seller *Name your doll* this seller to me has reasonable prices and a large selection of Barbie and Ken clothes if you wish to purchase here is the link

http://stores.ebay.com/nameyourdollplus

I also purchased a Taylor swift outfit, I like it but it has few downfalls like the pants have glitter all over them, not really a fan of the glitter! Also the trim on the top isn't sewn straight across. You can kinda see it if you look really hard at the packaging part of the picture. But for about $6 bucks what can you expect. If you wish to purchase anyway here is the link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/150882900300?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

My last purchase I was so excited about because I have been really wanting a That's so Raven barbie for awhile now and I lucked up and found one for about $15 bucks on eBay can you say "SCORE"! She had few little blemishes in her face but I quickly removed the with GermX and a Q-tip. Also when I body swapped her I found out that the back of her hair was detached from head, I put a little super glue on there and "VIOLA!!!" fixed. She is currently on a Liv Alexis body but sooner or later I will find her a new body since the joints on this one are a little weak.

Welcome to AHS

So here is my something special I decided to put together a few photos and make a teaser for my high school stories. I originally had in mind to do the 1st photostory but with school and work in the way I just decided to go with this and I hope you guys like it!!!

**I was just a coincidence that some of the lyrics match up with the pics I had no intention of doing that LOL***

Enjoy and see you Soon!!!

Brother and sisters!

2012-08-28T20:15:00.001-07:00

Payton, Marcus, And Rayvn Chandler

Meet the 3 main characters of my High school stories. For some reason in my mind these three fit perfectly as siblings as soon as I put them together I just liked them instantly. Payton and Marcus are fraternal twins and Rayvn is there adopted little sister. I thought these three would produce the best stories and give some variety of what some teens go through during their high school years.

Payton is the girl next door sweet, lovable, smart, and real joy to be around!!!!

Marcus is your basic bad boy. Only being 16 he's been in more trouble than he count. But I know I certain person who will help him get on the right track!!

Rayvn in the younger adopted sister of Payton and Marcus. She is an extremely talented artist who loves to express her feelings through through her paitings.

We'll find out more about these guys as the stories begin. Remember school starts September 6th!

Randomness!!!!

2012-08-01T16:27:00.003-07:00

When I saw the chairs on HeyItsMuff's blog I instantly fell in love with them, but since there is no AC Moore near the state of Mississippi, I decided to make my own! And I must say they look pretty darn neat!!

So this top picture is my 1st draft of the chairs. It came out a little wobbly and all kinds of crooked so back to the design board it went.

So this is the 2nd draft It came out alot better. In instead of making the seat of the chair all flat I decided to match the bottom with the back of the seat with the slack design.(if that makes sense) Its a little crooked too but much more polished looking. Since this design came out so good, I made a double of this one.

I also created a bench for 2 of my guys or gals to sit on. Its the same design as the the 2nd draft of the chair just longer.

Here a few of the my people showing of the new chairs!

Oh yeah Grace is a new member of the family!!

Here is dio that I created for my future photo stories if I ever get around to doing them!

I did this photo just for fun. Its a recreation of Beyonce's countdown video!

And last is picture of my crew that will be in photo stories based on high school life

P.s(Don't you love Chandra's facial expression)

Adventures in easy cutting with new friends

2012-06-30T22:22:00.000-07:00

So thanks to HeyItsMuff she introduced me to the greatest tool ever the Easy Cutter. This is the greatest thing ever, it is alot easier trying to cut craft sticks with scissors and darn near breaking your fingers. My easy cutter was absolutely FREE after I traded in my textbook for $65 on amazon.com.

So my initial design was a bay window. I used wooden dowels, craft sticks, and jumbo popscicle sticks, foamboard, scrapbook paper, and white duck tape.

Ok I must admit since I made this thing and I have a Brandy doll only one song has been on my mind!

[Radio plays]

Til my day comes, here's what I'm gonna do

Be sittin up in my room

Back here thinkin bout you
I must confess, I'm a mess for you
Be sittin up in my room
Back here thinkin bout you
I must confess, I'm a mess for you

{Brandy: Sittin up in my room}

Ok I think I got that song outta my system! Im am so lying im listening to it now!!! lol

The lights in the picture are these submersible lights I found in the floral section of Walmart. I thik these will come in handy to use as party lights or stars.

New Friends

I purchased the Brandy doll from MsLeo and she is on on an Artsy body that was free from my amazon trade in!

[OutFit]

Top,Necklace,Shoes: Barbie basic

Skirt,Belt are handmade by me

I purchased DJ a.k.a FLAVAS Tre from Ebay.

His hair was initially blonde, but I had to get rid of that, so I took to him with my black paint pen and fixed that hot mess.

Shirt: LIV jake

Pants: Ken

Shoes: Justin Beiber

I also purchased an articulated Chandra doll. I already have the It Takes Too Chandra doll but I couldn't pass up the chance to have this version. I feel like I bought the last one in existence because I couldn't find one any where else.

[Outfit]

Entirely Mattel

All in All I feel like I've done a good job with all of this!!!

See you soon!!

V.I.P Tween Doll: Rocky

2012-06-23T08:24:00.002-07:00

I don't know how many of you have seen or have the tween v.i.p dolls but I decided to do a little review of the one I have which is the Shake It up Rocky version 2. Now this is my 1st review of something so bare with me! :-)

I have had my Rocky for a couple of months and she is a pretty cool chick. I love the outfit she came with and accessories. It is a little difficult to put her fingers through her shirts but with a little push they will fit.

****DOLL NUDITY****

She has a pivotal chest, pivotal knees, and her arms bend. She also has real eye lashes.

She also can share shoes with LIV and BARBIE!

(also with monster high dolls)

What she can wear!

Well I hope I did this little review right, see you guys soon, I hope to show what I have made with my easy cutter!

How to- Loft bed

Purchases, Deals, and Buys!!! Oh my!!

2012-05-23T17:37:00.000-07:00

I've made a few purchases in the past week and I decided to let you see what ALL I got.

I got these 2 kens from BrooklynStarsForever last week for both of them they were $10.

Awesome deal thanks Ebony!!!!

I Bought the Liv sets from TRU while they were on clearance last week $0.98. I have some of these already I bought them for the extra shoes and accesories.

I bought the shelf liner at TjMaxx i plan to use it for some kind of restaurant.I bought the box at dollar tree It looks like it could be a nice little table.

I also found the bottle stopper thats been blowing up on the blog scene from Tjmaxx!

Its so obvious why I bought this ken doll set here.... THE CLOTHES DUH!!!!LOL

I also decided to buy Making Waves Jake since he was on clearance for $7.50 at TRU online.

I hope my bank account is alright after these purchases, I still have plans to purchase the new JB fashion packs that I saw on Muff's blog sometime this week.

Rough Drafts!

2012-05-05T16:59:00.000-07:00

So I've been working very hard on some new projects that i think you all will like, The first project is a bathroom that I've put some very serious thought process into(especially the shower).

Down below the tub is made out of a Q-tip container, which I built a base around it using cardboard covered it with duct tape and glued a couple of beads for knobs! DONE!!

The shower was something serious!LOL Its made from a cereal box that was tall and wide enough for the doll to fit into. The sliding doors are made from plastic that I lined with duck tape, the sliders are straws that I covered with duck tape and glued to the box. I surely will try and make a vid for this one!!

Another project is this couch that I've developed, its somewhat similar to MFS's couch but I cut out the all that excess measuring and used a pop tart box.(all that measuring just got me confused! LOL!)

The last project is a house for those Lalaloopsy dolls and LPS toys. Now this really is a rough draft! As you can see its made from a old juice container box, scrapbook paper, foam board for the floors, and contact paper. it still needs a little more work on it but it will eventually work out.

Hopefully I can do a vid on these projects some time soon!

Welcome!!
