says that sunsets are hyped has never visited the Sunset Point in Kanyakumari,
which provides breathtaking and magnificent views of the setting sun amidst the
clear bright sky in the background, and the pure blue waters underneath it.
Formerly known as Cape Comorin, Kanyakumari is located at the southernmost tip
of the Indian Peninsula and is famous all across the country for having some of
the best views and sceneries. A must visit place for every visitor to
Kanyakumari, the Sunset Point is the confluence of three ocean bodies: the Bay
of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, and the Arabian Sea, which is also known as the
Triveni Sangam. This confluence makes the scenes even more special and
breathtakingly unique. What is more thrilling is the opportunity to see the
setting sun and the moon rise simultaneously on full moon nights.

no reason to wonder why the Sunset Point attracts visitors from all over the
world. The lighthouse further adds to the beauty of the views that can be
enjoyed from here, and the place offers the opportunity to click some fantastic
photos because of the beautiful interplay of the light and the ocean water.
Additionally, if you are lucky enough, you will be able to witness the tides
moving in a parallel direction to the shoreline and the ocean waters mixing and
mingling beautifully in different shades of light and dark blue, which can
easily be differentiated by the naked eye. Just off the mainland, you can also
see the colossal statue of the Tamil poet and saint Thiruvalluvar, and the
Vivekananda Memorial adjacent to it.

most popular caves are Tiger Cave, Panther Cave, Apes Cave, Bat Cave and Flying
Fox Cave. Visiting Eco Cave Garden is not recommended for old people and

Regarded and
revered as one of the fifty-one Shakti Peeths that are located all across
India, the Naina Devi Temple is a holy site that is situated on the northern
shore of Naini Lake, in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, India. This
temple is one of the most renowned places of Hindu worship all over the
country. Dedicated to Devi Sati's eyes, devotees from all parts of India flock
to this region in huge numbers all year round.

The
presiding deity of the Naina Devi Temple is Maa Naina Devi or Mata Sati.
According to Hindu mythology, the temple is built on the exact spot where
Goddess Sati's eyes fell on the Earth after Lord Shiva carried her charred body
after taking it out from the fire of the yagna that was performed by Sati's
father- Daksha. Inside the Naina Devi Temple, you will find the two eyes on the
roof, depicting Goddess Naina Devi, placed in the centre; with the statues of
Goddess Kali and Lord Ganesha surrounding it. It would be interesting to note
that the city of Nainital got its name from the temple of Naina Devi only. As
you climb the hill to reach the temple, various shops selling prasad and other
essential puja items will greet you on the way. Considered to be extremely
pristine and sacred by the devotees, the venerated Naina Devi Temple is a must
visit on your next trip to Nainital.

The Naina
Devi Temple is located at the top of the Naina hillock, near the Naini Lake.
The place is just a few metres walk away from the Nainital bus station. From
other locations within the city, you can easily hire a cab or take an auto to
reach the Naina Devi Temple.
Another way of reaching the temple is the
ropeway which transports tourists from the bottom of the hill to the
temple, for easier access. The Palkis which are used for the purpose are quite
comfortable to ride in. Most pilgrims might also prefer to reach the top of the
hill on foot while chanting Jai Mata Di. The distance is quite comfortable and
can be covered within half an hour.

Snow View
Point in Nainital stands at a dizzying altitude of 2270 meters above sea level
and is one of the most attractive tourist spots of the area. As the name
suggests, Snow View Point offers a panoramic view of the mighty Himalayas
draped in a blanket of milky-white snow. One can see a picturesque view of all
three important peaks- Nanda Devi, Trishul and Nanda Kot peaks together from
this point.

A huge pair
of binoculars has been installed at the Snow View Point that allows you to take
a closer look at the Himalayan range and its magical peaks. If you look closer,
you will find a small temple housing the images of Ram, Sita, Laxman, Hanuman
with Durga and Shiva. An aerial cable car connects you to the Snow View Point
directly from the Mall Road of Mallital and shows you a spectacular view of the
beautiful town.

The Snow
View Point stands at an elevation from the Mall Road of Mallital. The best way
to get to this point would be by the aerial cable car. Right in front of the
Naini lake, a top-rated tourist attraction in Nainital is the entry to the
cable car pickup point. The charges for a one-way ropeway ticket to the Snow
View Point are INR 80 for adults and INR 40 for children, and similarly, for a
two-way ticket, you will be charged INR 150 for adults and INR 75 for children.
The cable car has glass windows on all sides and provides a scintillating view
of the Naini lake and the entire mall road of the town. However, the approach
road to the pickup and drop-off point for the cable car is a little steep for
about 150-200 meters and hence, may not be a viable option for senior citizens.
In that case, you can hail a cab from the mall road, and it will take you
directly to Snow View Point in no time and while also briefing you about other
points in Nainital.
The nearest railhead is Kathgodam Railway Station (KGM) and is 34 km away from
Mallital's mall road. Cabs wait outside the station and are easily available
for hire at affordable rates. Many public, as well as private luxury buses, ply
in and out of Mallital quite frequently.

Ayarpatta Hill of Himachal Pradesh, Tiffin Top is a very famous tourist
attraction in Nainital, also popularly called as Dorothy's Seat. A fantastic
picnic spot in its own right, one gets a complete view of the town of Nainital
and its surrounding hills in the Kumaon region from this location. The serene
and peaceful environment of Tiffin Top makes it irresistible to the
photographers. Those who love nature's beauty must not miss out on this
vacation spot. Adventure activities such as rappelling and rock climbing are
conducted at Tiffin Top as well. The attraction got its name as Tiffin Top
after people started to have lunch on top of the hill on Dorothy's Seat. Tiffin
Top is also called Dorothy's Seat because it was constructed in the loving
memory of the English artist named Dorothy Kellett by the army officer Col J.P.
Kellett. The officer lost his wife Dorothy whilst she was aboard a ship to be
with her four children. The beautiful Tiffin Top is surrounded by trees of
Cher, Oak, and Deodar. Naini Lake and Kumaon Hills look lovely when seen from
here. On clearer days, one can also get hold of the majestic view of Nanda
Devi. Tiffin Top is situated at a distance of 4 km from Nainital. One can trek
for about 10 km passing through the Sherwood School in Ayarpatta and descend
from Bara Pathar. Another way to reach the spot is by hiring a horse from Bara
Pathar which will cost nearly INR 700 per person. It is also well connected to
the main city and can be reached via bus.

Grand Canyon is one of the most iconic sites in the region, providing several
stunning vistas as you go along. This almost 40 km long canyon is a large and
the most famous canyon in Yellowstone. It is hugely popular among visitors due
to its scenic views of the Lower and Upper falls, as well as the fascinating
pink and yellow coloured rocks. There are several viewpoints and points of
interest along the length of the canyon. The canyon's beautiful shades of
colours are an iconic part of Yellowstone. The mineral stains due to the
activities of water have given the rocks of the canyon such a pleasant tint of
colours, it is truly a sight to behold. The geology of the canyon is not
completely clear. It was created due to erosion over hundreds of thousands of
years, and the geothermal nature of the area is still prevalent, which can be
seen by the hot springs throughout the canyon.

and is also one of the six distinct physiographic sections of the Colorado
Plateau province. Even though It is not the deepest canyon in the world (Kali Gandaki
Gorge in Nepal is much
deeper), the Grand Canyon is known for its visually overwhelming size and its
intricate and colorful landscape. Geologically, it is significant because of
the thick sequence of ancient rocks that are well preserved and exposed in the
walls of the canyon. These rock layers record much of the early geologic
history of the North American continent.

Uplift
associated with mountain formation later moved these sediments thousands of
feet upward and created the Colorado Plateau. The higher elevation has also
resulted in greater precipitation in the Colorado River drainage area, but not
enough to change the Grand Canyon area from being semi-arid. The uplift of
the Colorado Plateau is uneven, and the Kaibab
Plateau that the Grand Canyon bisects is over one thousand feet
(300 m) higher at the North Rim than at the South Rim. Almost all runoff
from the North Rim (which also gets more rain and snow) flows toward the Grand
Canyon, while much of the runoff on the plateau behind the South Rim flows away
from the canyon (following the general tilt). The result is deeper and longer
tributary washes and canyons on the north side and shorter and steeper side
canyons on the south side.

Temperatures
on the North Rim are generally lower than those on the South Rim because of the
greater elevation (averaging 8,000 feet or 2,400 metres above sea level). Heavy
rains are common on both rims during the summer months. Access to the North Rim
via the primary route leading to the canyon is limited during the winter season
due to road closures.

 The Grand
Canyon area has some of the cleanest air in the United States. However,
at times the air quality can be considerably affected by events such as forest
fires Dust storms and in the Southwest.

What effect
there is on air quality and visibility in the canyon has been mainly from
sulfates, soils, and organics. The sulfates largely result from urban emissions
in southern California, borne on the prevailing westerly winds throughout
much of the year, and emissions from Arizona's copper smelter region, borne on
southerly or southeasterly winds during the monsoon. Airborne soils originate with windy
conditions and road dust. Organic particles result from vehicle emissions,
long-range transport from urban areas, and forest fires, as well as from VOCs emitted by vegetation in the surrounding forests. Nitrates, carried in from urban areas, stationary sources, and vehicle emissions; as well as Black carbons from forest fires and vehicle emissions, also contribute to a lesser extent.

A number of
actions have been taken to preserve and further improve air quality and
visibility at the canyon. In 1990, amendments to the Clean Air Act established the
Grand Canyon Visibility Transport Commission (GCVTC) to advise the US EPA on
strategies for protecting visual air quality on the Colorado
Plateau. The GCVTC released its final report in 1996 and initiated the
Western Regional Air Partnership (WRAP), a partnership of state, tribal and
federal agencies to help coordinate implementation of the Commission's
recommendations.

In 1999,
the Regional
Haze Rule established
a goal of restoring visibility in national parks and wilderness areas (Class 1
areas), such as the Grand Canyon, to natural background levels by 2064.
Subsequent revisions to the rule provide specific requirements for making
reasonable progress toward that goal.

Weather in
the Grand Canyon varies according to elevation. The forested rims are high
enough to receive winter snowfall, but along the Colorado River in the Inner
Gorge, temperatures are similar to those found in Tucson and other low
elevation desert locations in Arizona. Conditions in the Grand Canyon region
are generally dry, but substantial precipitation occurs twice
annually, during seasonal pattern shifts in winter (when Pacific storms usually
deliver widespread, moderate rain and high-elevation snow to the region from
the west) and in late summer (due to the North American Monsoon, which delivers waves
of moisture from the southeast, causing dramatic, localized thunderstorms
fueled by the heat of the day). Average annual precipitation on the South
Rim is less than 16 inches (41 cm), with 60 inches (150 cm) of snow;
the higher North Rim usually receives 27 inches (69 cm) of moisture, with
a typical snowfall of 144 inches (370 cm); and Phantom Ranch, far below
the canyon's rims along the Colorado River at 2,500 feet (762 m) gets just
8 inches (20 cm) of rain, and snow is a rarity.

Temperatures
vary wildly throughout the year, with summer highs within the Inner Gorge
commonly exceeding 100 °F (37.8 °C) and winter minimum temperatures
sometimes falling below zero degrees Fahrenheit (−17.8 °C)
along the canyon's rims. Visitors are often surprised by these
potentially extreme conditions, and this, along with the high altitude of the
canyon's rims, can lead to unpleasant side effects such as dehydration, sunburn,
and hypothermia.

Weather
conditions can greatly affect hiking and canyon exploration, and visitors
should obtain accurate forecasts because of hazards posed by exposure to
extreme temperatures, winter storms and late summer monsoons. While the park
service posts weather information at gates and visitor centers, this is a rough
approximation only, and should not be relied upon for trip planning. For
accurate weather in the canyon, hikers should consult the National Weather Service's NOAA weather
radio or the official National Weather Service website.

The National
Weather Service has had a cooperative station on the South Rim since 1903. The
record high temperature on the South Rim was 105 °F (41 °C) on June
26, 1974, and the record low temperature was −20 °F (−29 °C) on
January 1, 1919, February 1, 1985, and December 23, 1990.

A country that is worthy of praises for having a vast collection of different holy shrines, sacred destinations, and many pilgrimage places, India is where one can find the spiritual self, the inner peace, and the enlightenment. Perhaps, this is a sole reason why the country receives a lot of pilgrims every year. And although there are plenty of places that are honoured by the establishment of sacred shrines, Vrindavan and Mathura in the state of Uttar Pradesh secure themselves a significant position when it comes to spiritual destinations in India. These sacred cities in Uttar Pradesh glorify the birthplace of Lord Krishna and are dotted with various temples. Spending time in their Hindu Temples may offer a solace to your soul and an opportunity of seeking blessings. And if you want to know more about the famous temples, below I have mentioned the top 10 temples you can visit in Mathura and Vrindavan.

In the midst of the human-swarmed streets of Mathura, one of the most valued and beloved shrines, Janmabhoomi Temple resides. This shrine is known to be the holiest place in Mathura and it is an important pilgrimage for Hindus since it is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Shri Krishna. Before the temple was commissioned by the great-grandson of Lord Krishna, Raja Veer Singh Bundela (as per the locals), it used to be a stone-walled prison cell of Lord Krishna’s uncle, King Kans. Besides that, one attraction not to be missed is located at the back of the main sanctum of the temple, a small room that represents a prison where Lord Krishna was born. As you explore further inside the interiors of the holy structure you will also notice a marble statue of Lord Krishna. And the best time to visit is during the festive celebration of Janmashtami, the festivals of Chhappan Bhog and Holi are also celebrated in the temple premises.

The oldest and one of the famous temples in Mathura, Dwarkadhish is a holy structure that is dedicated to his holiness Dwarkadheesh (Lord Krishna). The temple is called so because Lord Krishna had moved to Dwarka to settle there until his last breath. In Mathura, however, Dwarkadhish Temple is located near Gatashrama and Vishram Ghat in the eastern part of the city and it houses the idol of Radha-Krishna in the main shrine. You may notice a black marble idol of Lord Dwarkadhish (a form of Lord Krishna) in the temple along with a white marble idol of his beloved Radha. One must visit here every year, especially during the festive season of Janmashtami when you are bound to witness and perhaps be a part of a whirlpool of pilgrims that throng from across the globe. The entrance of the Dwarkadheesh Temple is adorned with a Rajasthani style of architecture with an open courtyard in the center along with beautifully carved pillars and painted ceiling. And the best attraction inside the temple compound is perhaps the golden coloured swing of Lord Dwarkadheesh.

This temple is blessed with the deity of Lord Krishna and is said that the original deity was first placed by Shri Bajranabh, the great grandson of Krishna. One unique feature about this Krishna temple is that it has its own festival calendar and that all the functions are held within the premises. Besides, Kesava Deo Temple attracts a lot of Hindu pilgrims mainly for the unusual festival ritual of Lathmar Holi. Other popular festivals that are joyously celebrated here are Krishna Janmashtami and Chhappan Bhog. While exploring Kesava Deo Temple, about 250 metres away, you may also find another small shrine with a similar name, ‘it claims to have seen and felt Lord Krishna’s presence.’ At this temple, you can even see different images of Vasudeva, Devaki, and four-armed Krishna.

This is one of the famous Krishna temples in Vrindavan where Sri Krishna is known by the name of Banke Bihari because he is considered as a ‘Supreme Enjoyer.’ Banke means ‘Bent in three places,’ whereas Bihari means ‘Enjoyer’ as you can see in a statute where the idols’ hands are folded to hold a flute with a leg folded standing pose. Banke Bihari Mandir is one of the seven temples of Thakur of Vrindavan, and it is located near Shri RadhaVallabh Temple. Amid the narrow lanes where the devotees rush to seek blessings into the godly kingdom, you can witness love and devotion for Sri Krishna. Here, the main entrance of the temple is adorned with a dark yellow-brown colour with intricate traditional design and perhaps it is the main attraction in Vrindavan. Inside, you can witness a jet black statue of Lord Krishna known as Thakur Ji.

Radharamana Temple in Vrindavan marks its place to be one of the holiest temples and it deserves a visit by the pilgrims. Basically, the meaning of Radharamana is the one who gives pleasure, in this case, Lord Krishna to Radha and it is yet another name Lord Krishna is called. Radharamana Temple was built in an initiative taken by Gopala Bhatta Gosvami. It is believed that ever since 1542, this temple is being worshipped for the belief that Lord Krishna revealed his holy presence during the full moon day of Vaisakhi from a Salagram-Shila. Every year, during this auspicious event, the idol of Lord Krishna is bathed with milk and various religious items and further distribute the bathed milk to the devotees as a token of blessing, Charanamrita. Apart from the worship of Radharamana, other Salagram-Shilas are also worshipped on the same day. In addition, another attraction here you must not fail to notice is the fire in the temple kitchen. It is said to be lit for more than 460 years, ever since the establishment of the temple and it serves its purpose in cooking.

The
name Piano has been given to the bridge as it resembles a
piano. Each stone resembles a piano key. The Piano Bridge is
said to be 200 years old. The bridge is designed so to keep the water flowing
between the rocks. One side of the Piano Bridge is higher than the other one
making it a bridge with two levels. This bridge is longer than several other
bridges of its kind.

The tourists
who visit Shishue Village specially come to see Piano Bridge. The bridge is
strong although looks very old. People enjoy making photos on it while crossing
it back and forth. The pleasant surrounding makes the experience more amusing.
There are several other bridges but Piano Bridge is the most popular in Shi
Yang town.

The Piano
bridge was designed in the times when wood was scarce in China as even today in
low land areas. The bridge is a perfect example of its time in terms of its
simple architecture. The design allows proper crossing, appropriate water flow
and assistance in high tides. The bridge can also get a little bit slippery for
older people and kids.

One of the
very important and large gatherings of the pilgrims in the Hinduism & most
famous fair in India, Kumbh Mela is held at four locations. During the time of
mela, a vast number of Hindu people visit this mela to bathe in the holy water.
This is a ritual, which is followed with the belief that bathing in the holy
water will bring them the purity by clearing their sins. The Kumbh Mela at
Prayagraj is the site to behold as the fair is set up covering the three holy
rivers i.e. Ganga, Sarasvati, and Yamuna, which is known as Triveni Sangam. In
Allahabad, every 6 years, Ardh Kumbh is also organised. Kumbh is one of the
main tourist attractions of the place.

The Kumbh is
best described as the world’s utmost gigantic act of trust, in which the
participation and attendance by the passionate Hindus are given a lot of
importance. The whole Prayagraj comes to life during the fair as all the
mandirs are lit up and decorated and you will witness sadhus and pandits doing
pooja and aarthi etc.

During the
Kumbh, temporary railway stations are built around the areas of the fair in
order to facilitate the entry of the huge population coming to witness this
divine event. People can find affordable stay in Prayagraj or book a tent if
planning for staying in the mela.

distance of 7 kilometres from the city, the Sangam is the interaction point of
the three rivers i.e. the Yamuna, Sarasvati, and Yamuna, among which Sarasvati
is known as the mythical river, which hypothetically has dried up many years
ago. At the Sangam you will get to witness the stunning meet of brown coloured
Ganga River with the green coloured Yamuna River. You can indulge in some
boating here.

of the Sangam to perform various other rituals. Also, there are other
breathtaking views from the place like you can see the Allahabad Fort built by
Akbar or the bridge on the Yamuna River. Best
time to visit Prayagraj is during sunrise or sunset and in favourable weather.

is well connected with the main city with almost all means of transport but the
most comfortable way is to get a cab, which will directly drop you to the banks
of Sangam and from there one can use the boat or ferry.

ravel and
tourism in Uttar Pradesh are inspired by a lot of factors. One of the greatest
reasons for traveling to Uttar Pradesh is for a fact that cities in Uttar
Pradesh are among the most historically aesthetic in the whole wide world. You
will never know that the city you are stepping in has been alive for more than
a couple thousand years! Sounds great, right? One such historical place in
Uttar Pradesh is Mirzapur. Many of you might not know this historical fact
about Mirzapur, that it is basically known for the multiple tourist attractions
build during the British rule in India. It is completely worth your efforts to
go all the way to the Mirzapur town and have a look at the small town built
exactly according to the British architecture. This small town is almost 50 km
away from the Varanasi city from where you can either take a bus or train to
reach here.

suggests, this is a fossil park which will take you further into the history of
our nation! This fossil park holds evidence from the ancient times when the
early human had just started plantations. Not only is it enlightening but it is
also an amazing overall experience. It is most recommended to visit this park

Agra fort stands on an ancient site just by the river Yamuna. It was brick fort and Chauhan Rajputs held it. It is mentioned for the first time in 1080 AD when a Ghaznavide force captured it. Sikandar lodhi (1487-1517) was the first sultan of Delhi who shifted to Agra and lived in the fort. He governed the country from here and Agra assumed the prominence of the second capital. He died in the fort in 1517 and his son Ibrahim lodhi held it for 9 years until he was defeated and killed at Panipat in 1526. Several places, Wells and a Mosque were built in the fort during the lodhi period.

Shah Jahan was the fifth ruler of the Mughal dynasty. During his third regnal year, his favorite wife, known as Mumtaz Mahal, died due to complications arising from the birth of their fourteenth child. Deeply saddened, the emperor started planning the construction of a suitable, permanent resting place for his beloved wife almost immediately. The result of his efforts and resources was the creation of what was called the Luminous Tomb in contemporary Mughal texts and is what the world knows today as the Taj Mahal.

In general terms, Sunni Muslims favor a simple burial, under an open sky. But notable domed mausolea for Mughals (as well as for other Central Asian rulers) were built prior to Shah Jahan’s rule, so in this regard, the Taj is not unique. The Taj is, however, exceptional for its monumental scale, stunning gardens, lavish ornamentation, and its overt use of white marble.

Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in Agra, where he took the throne in 1628. First conquered by Muslim invaders in the eleventh century, the city had been transformed into a flourishing area of trade during Shah Jahan’s rule. Situated on the banks of the Yamuna River allowed for easy access to water, and Agra soon earned the reputation as a “riverfront garden city,” on account of its meticulously planned gardens, lush with flowering bushes and fruit-bearing trees in the sixteenth century.

When Mumtaz Mahal died at age 38 in 1631, the emperor is reported to have refused to engage in court festivities, postponed two of his sons’ weddings, and allegedly made frequent visits to his wife’s temporary resting place (in Burhanpur) during the time it took for the building of the Taj to be completed. Stories like these have led to the Taj Mahal being referred to as an architectural “symbol of love” in popular literature. But there are other theories: one suggests that the Taj is not a funeral monument, and that Shah Jahan might have built a similar structure even if his wife had not died. Based on the metaphoric specificity of Qur’anic and other inscriptions and the emperor’s love of thrones, another theory maintains that the Taj Mahal is a symbolic representation of a Divine Throne—the seat of God—on the Day of Judgment. A third view holds that the monument was built to represent a replica of a house of paradise. In the “paradisiacal mansion” theory, the Taj was something of a vanity project, built to glorify Mughal rule and the emperor himself.

If his accession to the throne was smooth, Shah Jahan’s departure from it was not. The emperor died not as a ruler, but as a prisoner. Relegated to Agra Fort under house arrest for eight years prior to his death in 1666, Shah Jahan could enjoy only a distant view of the Taj Mahal. But the resplendent marble mausoleum he built “with posterity in mind” endures, more than 350 years after it was constructed, and is believed to be the most recognizable sight in the world today. Laid to rest beside his beloved wife in the Taj Mahal, the man once called Padshah—King of the World—enjoys enduring fame, too, for having commissioned the world’s most extravagant and memorable mausoleum.

The Taj Mahal is one of the world’s great tourist attractions, hosting millions of visitors per year. Though it was designated as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and is currently overseen by the Archaeological Survey of India, its heavy visitor traffic is just one of the many factors that threaten the integrity of the site.

One of the biggest risk factors for the Taj Mahal is air pollution, which discolors the exterior and, some experts think, causes acid rain that deteriorates the marble. Air pollution is caused by a multitude of factors including industry, vehicle emissions, and the burning of household waste. The government of India designated an area called the Taj Trapezium Zone (named for its trapezoidal shape), a 10,400 square kilometer swath (about 4,000 square miles) of Agra encompassing the Taj Mahal as well as the Agra Fort and the historic Mughal settlement of Fatehpur Sikri. Oil refineries and coal-burning industries have been ordered to regulate their emissions or switch to natural gas within this zone, and most have complied.

There has also been a ban on auto traffic near the Taj Mahal, air quality monitors have been installed, and the Archaeological Survey of India has proposed a tourist cap and increased fees to limit visitor impact.

Another potential risk for the Taj Mahal is the drying up of the Yamuna River, which flows along the rear of the complex. The river has been partially dammed upstream from the Taj Mahal in order to augment municipal water supplies, and some argue that the changes in the soil due to the lower water table may be threatening the structural integrity of the monument. Various activists and scholars have claimed to have found cracks in the marble platform, sinking of the structure, and tipping of the minarets, though UNESCO asserts that

The physical fabric is in good condition and structural stability, nature of foundation, verticality of the minarets and other constructional aspects of Taj Mahal have been studied and continue to be monitored.

The Taj Mahal is rightly a top destination for millions of travelers. As global tourism grows and the economic pressures of industry continue to increase, the authorities who oversee the site must strive to implement legal and structural measures to ensure that this irreplaceable monument survives.
