One of the ways of getting some decent and loyal visitors to your blog is through making them subscribe to your posts. The default subscribe button in blogger is not so great looking. So, after this post, you can put any image you want for the subscribe button. Here is how to do it:

Get to DESIGN tab and select ADD A GADGET option.
Now choose HTML/JAVASCRIPT from the options.
Add this code in the content bar

Select an image and upload it to any image uploading sites such as Ripway , ImageShack and copy its location.
Now replace "Link of your image" with your image's link and "Feed Link" with

Remove subscribe to posts(atom) option from your blog

Every blog needs a good looking header at the top to attract readers. Nothing like the old fashioned heading will do any good to your blog's appearance. So here is a site from where you can design your own banners and put them at your header.

Get to COOL TEXT and you can design your own banners for your header or select from a wide gallery of logo's and graphic designs for your blog. They also give you lot of unique fonts with lovely designs.

Get to logo's section choose a design,enter your required text,change colors,sizes,shadows and all sorts of things. Once you're done press render logo button. If u want you can even edit it again or if you are happy with it you can simply download it.

Do you want to add a clock to your blog. There is a very easy method available now. You can select from many available clocks and choose your favorite from their collection.

Just go to Clocklink and get any clock you want from a wide selection of some lovely looking clocks. Copy the code from there and follow these simple steps.

1. Get to DESIGN tab and choose add a gadget option.
2. Now leave the title blank (or put something like clock,watch etc) and paste the code given in the content bar.
3. Save your changes and thats it, you have a working clock for your blog.

I am not sure whether it automatically changes time for visitors from another countries or continents. But still it is a good gadget to have for your blog.

ADD SIGNATURE TO YOUR POSTS

My signature

Isn't it fun to add a signature to all your posts? Now first of all you have to generate your signature from any of a signature generating sites such as MY LIVE SIGNATURE or NEED A SIG and create your own signature in any way you want.

1.Now save it and upload it any image hosting service such as RIPWAY or IMAGE SHACK and copy its location.
2. Sign in to blogger and get to EDIT HTML section and check on Expand widget templates and search for the line <div class='post-footer-line post-footer-line-1'>.
3. Now add this code right below it

<img src='url of your image' style='border:0px;'/>

Replace "url of your image" with your file's url and save your changes. Now you have your signature at the end of your posts.

In case of multiple blog users add this code instead of the above one

I have picked up this trick recently and this allows you to add a retweet gadget at the top of your blog post. If u want to know how it looks then you can see the left corner of all my posts which have this option. Now this is one the simplest to implement .

Here is how to do this. Go to DESIGN tab and EDIT HTML option and enable Expand widget templates. Now search for <div class='post-header-line-1/> by holding control and pressing F. Now paste the below code directly under it.

HOW TO COPYRIGHT YOUR BLOG

In this article i am going to tell you how to copyright your blog for free. Here's a free software called as Automatic up to date copyright generator which as the name indicates automatically updates your copyright information. All you need to know is fill in some simple boxes and it generates a code which you have to paste to any HTML/Javascript widget in your DESIGN tab . If you want to know how to add that code then here is the way.

Go to your design tab and select add Gadget and select HTML/Javascript in your options.Now paste your code there and save your settings. Prefer to keep it at the bottom . You have successfully copyrighted your blog. You can find a similar copyright logo at the bottom of my blog.

CREATE A FAVICON FOR BLOGGER

Favicon commonly pronounced as Fav-i-con means the symbol or a logo that one generally sees beside the address bar in any browser. A typical favicon for blogger looks like the above shown blogger favicon which is familiar to all of us. Bloggers use this generally to distinguish their site from other sites.You can easily create your favicon by following these simple steps.

Get a free favicon design from various designs at free favicon , Delta-Tango-Bravo favicons , The Favicon Gallery or any other favicon generating sites and save it in .png format.
Choose a free file uploader such as Ripway , ImageShack and create an account and upload your file there and copy your file's location.
Now log in to blogger , go to dashboard and get to EDIT HTML section find <script type='text/javascript'> tag and paste this code just before it.

Instead of link URL paste your file's URL in both the places and save your template. Now you have a brand new favicon for your site.You can see it even if you open in a new tab.I have personally identified that this works with firefox and opera browsers.

MAKE LINKS OPEN IN NEW WINDOW

We put a lot of links in our posts and if any reader clicks that link he goes to that page leaving your post. Nobody wants his readers to navigate away from his page. So use this trick to keep users in your page by opening link in new window.

You can find this in the EDIT HTML tab of your post.If u have 2 links then you will see this twice. All you need to do is add the part target="new" after the target URL so that it becomes

<a href="target URL" target="new">anchor text</a>

Now just publish your post. If you have 2 links then just do this to each one of them.You can also use "_blank" instead of "new".

MAKE IMAGES ON YOUR BLOG NON CLICKABLE

One annoying thing about blogging is anybody can simply click the images on your blog and download them easily . To prevent people from illegally downloading images from your blog you can do only one thing i.e to make them non clickable .Im going to tell you a method to make your images non clickable.

Just go the EDIT HTML section of your blog "post" and search for something which looks like this

<a href="..... ><imgsrc=".... /></a>

If you have 2 images then you'll find this twice there. Now all u have to do is delete <a href="....> and the </a> from it and keep the remaining as it is. Now if u publish your post there is no chance of clicking it.
