As I've said in earlier posts, this program has done more than anything to contribute to my success mindset and personal growth. I'm now a facilitator for the program, and I enjoy sharing these principles with people everyday.

The best thing about Thought Patterns for Success is that it's rooted in 4 main concepts. These concepts are simple, but they'll produce results in your life when you put them into practice. You see, Lou Tice is an expert at showing people how the mind actually works. Lou says, "we do not teach people what to think, we teach them how to think."

Here are the 4 main concepts that the series is based on...

Personal accountability - The future is in my own hands. I'm responsible for the results in my life. Blaming others or circumstances is not an effective way of dealing with life.

Self-Efficacy - Success doesn't rest on my abilities, instead it comes from my belief in my abilities. Learning how to believe in my ability makes things happen.

Positive Self-Talk - I move toward what I think. This is an ancient principle that all great leaders have shared. My self-talk is the single most important thing in creating a successful future.

End Result Thinking - Thinking in terms of the goal or possibility helps me achieve my potential.

There you have it. Each post in my series will be based on these 4 concepts.

If you're not familiar with Lou or the Thought Patterns for Success program, then I recommend his Personal Coaching for Results: How to Mentor and Inspire Others to Amazing Growth as a good place to start.

This information has transformed my thinking and life results. I hope you find value in it. The next post will be about "what holds us back". Until then...all the best!

I'm sitting at my desk relaxed tonight and thrilling in the accomplishment of my team at the day j.o.b. for their remarkable commitment to achieving goals and a success mindset. As the leader of my organization, I'm privileged to set the vision and then work with my company to make it happen.

This week we set a goal to achieve a level of growth never accomplished in our company. At the beginning of the week, we were at 90% of our stated goal and it looked like nothing could stop us. But, as is often the case when someone is trying to get to a place never visited before, obstacles have a way of testing desire and resolve.

By mid-week, we were knocked down to 80% of our goal. It was discouraging. We grouped and locked our focus on the goal and began to overcome the challenges put in our way. By this afternoon, momentum grew and sales flowed. Little by little success began to build again, and by 5:15pm tonight at the end of the week we hit the goal! We broke through the barrier and achieved a goal that had never been accomplished in our company. Next week, we celebrate our success! I've started tonight!

The power of the vision coupled by persistence when confronting set-backs yields amazing results. This type of success mindset is powerful. The power of our mind creates our reality.

Here's a video from his appearance at TED. You may have seen it already. That's okay. I suggest watching it again. I get something new each time I view it.

In the video, one of the things Robbins talks about is how choosing to think about something or ourselves leads to emotions and feelings. These feelings drive the actions we take leading to either positive or negative results.

It's a theme that you'll see over and over on this blog. To get successful results in our lives, we must start with our thoughts. Focus on your thinking rather than trying to change the result.

The video is very good. I'll warn you about the language. Robbins throws out some f-bombs and others.

It's an excellent guide to creating the conditions in your mind and subconscious to attain the vision you have for your financial and business success.

Five Musts if you want to create success on every level in terms of financial freedom and a massive happy and fulfilled life...

You must find something that stirs your soul.

You must become excellent at it.

You must recondition your mind to believe you can have it and achieve it.

You must understand how to make money at it.

You must take daily action.

I agree, and the more that I achieve and move forward, the more convinced I am that #3 presents the most challenge, but uncovering unproductive beliefs and reconditioning them yield tremendous results.

I’m a facilitator of one of the Success programs. These posts are based entirely on my desire to share principles that lead to success.

I’ve always been positive-minded, but I’ve also been a bit lost in my thinking when it came to wealth building and a success mindset. About 5 years ago, I was introduced to Lou Tice and his curriculum called “Thought Patterns for a Successful Career”. It was my “aha!” moment and I got so pumped up with excitement to find a structure to explain how my thoughts affect my day-to-day outcomes. It literally changed my life! I can honest say that the principles that I learned from Lou Tice are the foundation principles for the success that I enjoy each day.

In 2004, I ended a long-term relationship that was the wrong match for me (and I’m sure for her too). I moved to Kansas City with no money or furniture saying goodbye to my lifelong friends and hometown. I had a bed, my dogs, a computer, a middle-income job, and a sense that I needed to make a move and get unstuck.

Shortly after I moved, I was introduced to the material that I’ll share with you in this series of posts. Changing the way that I think daily has produced abundance in my life. I own a beautiful home (with furniture!!), my income has more than quadrupled into 6 figures, I’ve developed great relationships, and I have a desire to help others get what they want in life. I also still have my fantastic dogs.

So. I hope that you find the information in my Lou Tice and Pacific Institute series interesting and especially useful in your path of success.

It’s about modeling, mentoring, and monitoring.

I've had the opportunity to have lunch with Lou, go through his training multiple times, and be a facilitator for his Investment in Excellence curriculum.

In his daily newsletter, Lou talks about happiness...

Winner’s Circle Network with Lou Tice - 7/8/08 - “Looking for Happiness”

What makes you happy? Where do you find joy? No matter who you are, the answer to these questions is always the same, and I’ll tell you what it is

Do you know anyone who is always looking for happiness? What about people who are constantly in pursuit of joy through some activity, or people who complain that their relationships are dull, their job oppressive?

They act as if happiness and joy are to be found “out there” somewhere. They seldom come to terms with the idea that happiness is inside them. You see, we can’t look for joy as we do a lost article of clothing. We make our own happiness. We define it for ourselves and experience it in our own unique way. In fact, the happiest people in the world would probably still be happy if they were stripped of everything but life.

I see it all the time in my work. Many people whose bodies are terribly crippled or who have lived a life of deprivation and disadvantage are able to smile and joke their way through life, while those working with them who have every physical and economic advantage are often sour, complaining and depressed.

So open up the doors to your heart and let joy, laughter, and light heartedness come in. Many a relationship has been saved by a good belly laugh. A sense of humor is one of life’s greatest gifts.

Just remember, what makes you happy is not an event but a point of view. Once you have it, you’ll find joy and good fellowship wherever you look.

Lou Tice
The Pacific Institute

Click to get Lou's Winner's Circle email.
There's an interesting article in Success magazine about how boys and girls look at the motivation to become leaders. The study was done with children between 8 and 17 years of age.

Girls lean toward leadership because they want to help others (70% girls-50% boys), they want to share their knowledge with others (50% girls-45% boys), and they want to change the world (45% girls-30% boys).

Boys are more likely to want to be leaders to be their own boss (40% boys-30% girls), make more money (40% boys-20% girls), and have more power (25% boys-10% girls).

I'm interested to learn more since the graph didn't explain possible reasons due to biological reasons or sterotypes or social conditioning.

What do you think?

By the way, the re-launch of Success Magazine : What Achievers Read is great. It's important in all things resulting in success that you take action. So, no matter what you can start with, even if it's a dollar a month, you must take action and begin to manage your money.

Some people say, "Well, when I get ahead financially, I'll manage my money." That's a poor person mindset! The millionaire mind begins to manage now, because if you can manage a little, then you'll begin to manage a lot. I was SO into this way of thinking in the past. When I turned it around and began to manage money, I started to get wealthy!

Before I share the money management plan, here are some wealth principles from the chapter and that Eker teaches at his Millionaire Mind Intensives.

Until you can handle what you've got, you won't get any more!

The habit of managing your money is more important than the amount.

Either you control money, or it will control you.

So, how exactly do you manage your money? Here's a great plan from the book. Remember, it's important to start, not the amount. Start with $1 if you must; just start! Get the habit going!

Prepare 6 jars ("Jars can be literal, or bank accounts, or categories on a spreadsheet).
Place the following amounts in each of the jars every month after taxes.

Financial Freedom Account (10%)- used only for investments and buying or creating passive income streams. Money is never spent, only invested. Also, have a Financial Freedom Jar where you put you deposit money each day ($1, $10, loose change). Do something daily.

Play Account (10%)- Use this money to nurture yourself. Use it for extraspecial things in your life. The only guideline is that you must spend the money every month. Use it each month in a way that makes you feel rich!

Education Account (10%) - Set aside money for your education (school, seminars, etc.) or your child's.

Long-term Savings for Spending Account (10%)

Giving (10%)

Necessities Account (50%)

Start the plan and let the universe know that you are ready for more money.

So far, I like what I'm reading a lot. I think he nails it when he talks about the thing that keeps someone from success is the mind. Wealth follows growth, and staying stuck or afraid limits not only riches, but it also blocks someone from seeing and seizing opportunities.

Thoughts become feelings. Feelings become actions. And Actions become Results.

Control your thoughts and control your future. Many success coaches teach this concept. Few make the inner changes needed to produce bountiful results.

I love Eker's story about printing a page from the computer and noticing an typo error on the page. The person whites out the error on the printed page and hits print again. Shockingly, there's the error again! The person whites it out once again and even buys a $37 book about how to remove errors on the page. The person prints the page again and gets the typo again.

The point of the story is that focusing on the result will not change it when the solution is on the inside. Fix the thoughts and good results will follow. Focus on fixing a poor result and you're likely to get the same result next time.

Great stuff. Enjoy a little T Harv Eker until I post again!
This blog will provide tips, techniques, and secrets to build an internet marketing business with amazing profits. If you're interested in internet marketing and making money from home, you'll find great value with this blog. In addition to helpful tips, I'll also recommend various business opportunities for those of you who may be looking for a legitimate way to make a huge residual income. At the very least, I'll share what's up with choosing a lucrative business opportunity and how to avoid the scams. The most important part of this blog will be how to develop your mindset to achieve tremendous success and wealth.

A little about me...I'm an educator, success coach, and empowered entrepreneur living in Kansas City. I've built many successful, high performance teams, and I feel that team-building and empowering others toward success is what I've been called to do. I'm a 6 figure income earner, and I want to help others achieve similar and higher income results. I didn't include my income to boast. I just listed it to lend credibility to what I have to offer others. Financial freedom is extremely important to me, but equally important is personal development and creating a success mind-set. Actually, working on developing myself has had a direct relationship on my ability to attract wealth and freedom.

I'm a proud graduate of Arizona State University in Communication and Theatre. Go Devils! Although I lived in Phoenix most of my life, I'm really happy living in a city that experiences seasons. I also prefer the green landscape to a desert one. My friends are important to me, so I get back to Phoenix at least once a year.

As I develop this blog, I hope you find it useful and keep coming back. I will load it with valuable content that you can use daily to choose and grow a successful internet business.
