Plot

Note: One of the drama that shows how Japanese adore French Cuisine. I love the location of the drama, so unique and exquisite. It makes you dream of having it close to you so you can dine there whenever you want:)

One thing I miss from Japan is the Japanese Customer Service. Their customer service is one of the top notch I found from everyplace I go.

The food itself in this drama is so French:) I got to modify them in my kitchen so I can eat it. (since I don't eat porcine's product nor alcohol).

Synopsis

Okamisan can be the owner or just a manager of the restaurant/Inn/Bar/Nightclub. Okamisan is always a female figure with an outstanding rapport and wholesome experience. She is the face of the business. The whole operation of the restaurant/inn/bar/nightclub is relied on her. She takes care everything; PR, accounting, budgeting, planning, marketing, in-house out-house customer service, FB, kitchen, menu, HR, until love-affairs and the secrecy of the customer.
The drama itself is so so, but I learned many techniques of preparing Japanese meals. One thing that I keep remember is the techniques of cooking Japanese white rice with burning the rice straws as fuel for the clay stove.

Plot

Yu Aoi plays the title character in the new drama series, "Osen", which is set in a traditional restaurant-inn located in Tokyo's shitamachi (downtown) area.Osen is the okami (mistress) of Isshoan, which may sound strange for someone so young, but her mother, Chiho (Saori Yuki), has retired and left the place in her charge.
Osen is a bit of a bird brain, and she likes to drink as well, but she's a natural when it comes to cooking, and each episode focuses on several dishes whose preparation is described in detail.

It is said that in Jeoson Royal Court Cuisine, twelve dishes should be served along with rice and soup, with most dishes served in bangjja (bronze ware). Five meals are served daily, with three meals of full course meals and two lighter ones in the afternoon and after dinner.

The First Meal, mieumsang(미음상) , was served at sunrise on days when the king and queen were not taking herbal medicines. The meal consisted of rice porridge (juk, 죽) made with ingredients such as abalone (jeonbokju), white rice (huinjuk), mushrooms (beoseotjuk), pine nuts (jatjuk), and sesame (kkaejuk). The side dishes could consist of kimchi, nabak kimchi, oysters, soy sauce, and other items.

A romantic comedy produced by tvN which were aired 31 Oct 2010 to 20 December 2011 every Monday & Tuesday 23:00 pm. Sixteen episodes of the dramas centered among Yang Eun Bi who wants to become a school teacher and Cha Chi Soo, a lady killer, handsome but good for nothing boy of the biggest food conglomerate in Korea. A love rivalry between Cha Chi Soo and Choi Kang Hyuk colored the most episodes. Less than serious introduction of making Korean Ramyun (Korean Noodle) was shown in the episodes.
