The Simmons family united in beef with the Roc Nation MC.

On the heels of the release of his debut album Unexpected Arrival, Diggy Simmons released a very unexpected diss track.

"What You Say To Me," a freestyle diss aimed at Roc Nation's J. Cole, is a response to several lyrical swipes Cole has taken at Diggy and the entire Simmons clan over the last year. The beef started with a few lines in Cole's "Grew Up Fast":

"Move along c--ksucker, ain't got nothing to see/'Less you talking blockbuster, you n----s is not Russell/You more Diggy, Me, I'm more Biggie/No diss to the young boy, I'm just rapping get bored quickly!," Cole rapped.

Despite the admission that he wasn't dissing Diggy, the young rapper still took it personally, especially since Cole subliminally rapped about a sexual relationship with his eldest sister Vanessa Simmons. Starting with an under-the-radar line on "Grew Up Fast", Cole rapped, "What up Vanessa, I loved you that one semester." He went on to make it clear who the Vanessa he was talking about in a song called "Purple Rain:"

"Good girl huh, father was a preacher/sent her off to college thought I got her on a leash though," Cole rapped. "From the outside though, them girls be the squeakiest/you get 'em inside them girls be the freakiest/mischievous, downright devious/say she want cake I got all the right ingredients/running round fronting like a pure white virgin/gave a n---a dome while her father gave a sermon/Amen, let the choir sing/She be walking round campus like the quiet thing/so n----s scared to approach when they admiring/man if they know like I know she got that fire thing/pour a little OJ with some P-Tron/I'm feeling ok, but homie she's gone/when remmy Rev called she just ignore him/I had her calling on God till the weed/and then I hit the door n---a."

J. Cole and Vanessa attended St. John's University together, so that's where fans made the connection. However, Diggy and the entire Simmons clan is denying that they had any sort of relationship. Diggy put his grievances on wax:

"The other day I was listening to "Purple Rain," couldn't believe all of the things that I heard em say," Diggy spits. "Who dat, who dat, you know who it is, heard you lying on my sis, telling people that you hit/When your album drops I'ma hit you with your bricks, so I'ma bomb first on you since you wanna riff… little n---a named Cole think he live like me, jetsetter trendsetter, yeah you not like me."

In a Tweet, Rev. Run defends his son and reveals that the diss was actually a leak.

"J Cole.. Puts out 2 records Dissing family & Diggy & nobody cared.. Some1 leaks an old Diggy record & there's a problem," Rev. Run tweeted.

While Vanessa chimed in to tell her side of the story.

"Ok enuff with the fu*#ery on my TL now. Our brothers r protective ova us CUZ guys stay LYING. MORE IMPTLY that ish NEVER HAPPENED," she said.

J. Cole has yet to respond.

7 Celebrity Clothing Lines that Need to Go NOW! (Kardashian Collection & Apple Bottoms Top Our List)

2012-03-30T18:03:00.005-07:00

by PWilliams

It seems like a natural progression for celebrities to expand their empire. They develop perfumes, write books and many even create clothing lines. But we all know not all celeb clothing lines are created equal. For every successful, dapper Sean John collection, there’s a Fetish, Eve’s line that no one seems to even remember. We get it, A-listers think they naturally know fashion since they have access to the flyest threads, but that just isn’t the case. Some of our favorite personalities have created the tacky, laughable garments that left us scratching our heads and questioning their taste.

Peep 7 celeb clothing lines that need to cease and desist.

House of Deréon

There’s no denying Beyoncé is a musical force to be reckoned with and when she steps out, heads turn. But why, oh why, is House of Deréon every bit of underwhelming? We know you want to do it all Bey, but let this line rest in peace because we’re not buying it (literally!).

StyleBlazer Survey: Rihanna Spotted in London Strutting A Printastic Stella McCartney Blazer (Blazin’ or Blasé)

2012-03-30T17:58:00.000-07:00

by tlawrence

Rihanna, who’s been making rounds for her film debut in this summer’s blockbuster, Battleship, was seen leaving the Mandarin Hotel in London wearing a deep-V Stella McCartney blazer dress yesterday. She paired it with round shades and open-toe sandals. The look is a lot more polished and sophisticated than the punk princess outfits she’s been spotted in prior, but our jury is still out so we’d like to hear from you.

Check out the ensemble for yourselves.

Rihanna Heads Out To See Drake In Concert In London

2012-03-27T19:22:00.001-07:00

by Kelli

Looks like Drake will have some pretty famous fans in the audience for his concert at the O2 Arena in London tonight.

Rihanna was spotted leaving her hotel tonight on her way to the famous arena to watch her one time rumoured beau perform. Rihanna and Drake have collaborated before, I wonder if he’ll try to convince her to get up on stage with him?

Now that Riri is in London I wonder if she’ll be meeting with Simon Cowell at all about the possibility of being the new judge on The X-Factor? The timing seems to be very coincidental.

Damon Dash Responds to Curren$y's Lawsuit

2012-03-27T18:21:00.000-07:00

Dash issues statement through his lawyer denying he illegally released music from his former artist.

Once upon a time, rapper Curren$y was a staple at DD172, the all-purpose creative outpost of Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Dame Dash.

The upstart brand, with its main office located in the Tribeca area of Manhattan, was an outlet for Dash's art gallery, website design firm and music label. Back then, Curren$y and Dash were hammering out the details on a musical partnership, but that was 2010 and this is now. All proposed deals are off the table and the up-and-coming New Orleans rapper is suing the music mogul for profiting off his music despite never striking a deal.

Curren$y has since moved on to ink a deal with Warner Brothers, and, according to TMZ, he's upset that Dash continues to profit off his music, which is now legally owned by Warner. He's seeking $1.5 million in damages.

Apparently the pair still aren't seeing things the same, as Dame has released a statement through his lawyer Joshua E. Seidman, refuting the claims:

"My client's initial reaction to the lawsuit was that of surprise, particularly in light of Curren$y's numerous statements that the Muscle Car Chronicles would be released by BlueRoc," states Seidman. "On March 15, 2012, the plaintiffs appeared in Federal Court to argue for a preliminary injunction seeking to enjoin my client from the continued distribution of the Muscle Car Chronicles. The plaintiffs' application was denied in open Court by Federal Judge Andrew Carter and the album was permitted to remain available through iTunes and other retailers. While the situation remains ongoing, we are hopeful that an amicable resolution can be reached."

"My client wishes Curren$y the best in all of his future career endeavors," the statement went on to say. "However, he has expressed a deep concern with respect to the manner in which the artist's attorney and manager have conducted themselves. He sincerely hopes that Curren$y is not being misled or pressured into making unwise decisions, such as the filing of what appears to be a potentially frivolous litigation."

This isn't the first hint of legal troubles for the music and film mogul. Last year, he was accused of being a deadbeat dad, when his ex-girlfriend Linda Williams went on record to say that he wasn't paying the court-ordered $425 a week in child support payments for their 20 year-old son. Dash is also reportedly on the hook for more than $3 million in back taxes to New York and New Jersey.

Caught Creeping: Did Lil Wayne Cheat On Dhea With This Carolina Cutie?

2012-03-24T16:39:00.001-07:00

by thatsmybiz1

Lil Wayne Allegedly Slept With North Carolina Girl After Studio Session This Week

We’re using the term “cutie” real loosely here. Poor Dhea! Weezy has publicly embarrassed her again. Bossip received a tip from a source in North Carolina who says they have a friend who claims to have slept with Lil Wayne after a recording session in Raleigh this week. And homegirl even says she has evidence.

The girl, whose Twitter handle is “Cake” posted this photo of Weezy sleeping. SMH… Tunechi caught slipping.

She was also tweeting Rihanna lyrics:

So is that enough evidence for you? Or does she need more people? Is there still a chance that Wayne’s been faithful?

Deshawn Stevenson Celebrates His Birthday With Nets Teammate Kris Humphries And Ladies At Vanquish

New Jersey Nets ballers Deshawn Stevenson and Kris Humphries partied it up at Vanquish “Dubai Thursdays” in Atlanta for Deshawn’s birthday… While Deshawn, who previously dated Basketball Wives L.A. star Draya Michele seemed happy to get close with another reality tv “character” and model Cristal Steverson, “The Hump” did not seem into the chick who trailed him around the club all night.

But at least the birthday boy had fun, right?

DMX Sued By Booking Agency For $630K

Concert promoters say the rapper bailed on contractual obligations.

DMX could be on the hook for several hundred thousand dollars after being sued by a concert promoter for failing to make good on contractual obligations, TMZ reports. According to a suit filed by Heavy Rotation booking, X's myriad of legal problems in 2011 killed a massive comeback tour the two parties had planned, costing the agency $749,285.

Heavy Rotation says it had an exclusive contract with the Ruff Ryders rapper to book shows all over the world. But when he was cited for a traffic violation last year and sued twice for child support disputes, the rapper was saddled with a passport lien that prevented him from traveling.

Compounding the legal troubles, according to Heavy Rotation, was DMX's efforts to hire separate management to book shows in the U.S., even though those rights belonged to HR under their contract.

Responding to the lawsuit, X's manager says Heavy Rotation has it all wrong— the rapper did reach out to other companies, but only after he had severed ties with HR over poor business practices.

As it stands, the company is insisting on $630,000 in lost revenue.
