Meet Dawn, a perky Christian student who's active in the local chastity movement. She's like a lot of girls her age - except that she has sharp teeth in a very unusual place. (How to even say this?)

Dawn's unusual condition is the premise of an equally unusual film opening Friday, “Teeth." It's not quite a drama, not quite a comedy and not quite a horror movie.
And if you thought first-time director Mitchell Lichtenstein (son of Roy) would have had a hard time getting this update of the classic vagina dentata myth made, you'd be right.
“I'd send the scripts to some of the companies I'd worked with as an actor, and mostly what I got was dead silence," he says. “I was also working with a manager, and I gave him the script and I didn't hear from him for a long time. When I finally was able to get him on the phone, he said, ‘Never show this script to anyone else. Anyone who reads this will not want to read anything else that you have written.' After I recovered from that, it wound up being the most encouraging thing I'd heard, because to have such a visceral reaction meant I was onto something."
Even Jess Weixler, the newcomer who plays Dawn, was reluctant to get involved, because what actor wants to be the girl with teeth in such a wrong place?
“I sat her down and told her about the myth, and the way to look at her story was about the birth of a superhero," Lichtenstein says. “And it helped when she met me and found out I wasn't crazy."
The writer-director says he didn't have many doubts about making this his feature debut. “It is an outrageous concept," Lichtenstein says. “It had the biggest risk, but possibly the biggest gain, just because it would get some attention just because of the subject."
The film created a small buzz at Sundance last year and was bought by Harvey Weinstein and Lionsgate. Now it's finally making its way to theater screens - just not those owned by AMC, which deemed the movie too offensive to show.
“I never expected it to be for everyone. It's not that kind of movie, thank God," Lichtenstein says. “I love the movie. But on the other hand, I do have some sense of reality. Probably my grandmother, if she were alive, would not want to see it."

To whom it may concern:
My name is dede, I grew up in Albuquerque, NM. The house I grew up in was haunted. I believe it was haunted by three ghosts. We have had people come to visit and have seen many things or experiences goings on. although I dont live in this home anymore, we know that its been purchased several times more than 8 times since we left.
Our old neighbors say that the owners usually leave in the middle of the night. However we lived in the home 17 years and didnt move because of the goings on. In fact, I have fond memories of this home. I believe we were protected because we are devout catholics. I love investigating, and have no fear of demons. I love Most Haunted and happen to love Derek Acorah. This, by far, is the most awesome show on TV.

The Man Without A Face

Hello!
I am writing to you to tell you about an extremely weird experience.
I had with a really good friend of mine about 9 years ago. Well, at that time, we loved anything that had to do with the outdoors, like riding 4-wheelers, going for walks, and making forts. Well, it was a hot summer day, just started out like any other day. We were busy making a fort in these woods that were located in the woods behind my parents house. We were out there for probably a couple of hours or so when we decided that we should get going home because it was going to get dark out any time soon. So we packed up and got ready to leave.
Well just as we both looked up, we noticed a man, in a orange hunters suit, but the strange thing..hehad no face! It was all black where his face was supposed to be!
I know this sounds so strange but it is the solid truth.
Well, after we seen him, we both started running towards the trail to get home, and we ran and ran, until we reached my friend's house. We never stopped running the whole way back and we never spoke of what we saw until the next day.
When I seen her the following day, I asked, did that really happen? It was so un-real, and unexplained to me, that it felt like I was in a dream! But, when I asked her, I was hoping that she would say I was crazy and that never had happened, but she said just the opposite!
It did in fact happen, and both of us will never forget the Hunter Man for the rest of our lives!!!!!

Hi. I am the Webmaster of the True Ghost Stories website and recently
exchanged links with your site.

Here is my own true ghostly experience, which happened to me back in 1979:

The Shuffling Slippers

(This is an actual experience which happened to me, around 1979, whilst I
was in my late auntie's flat, all alone, one Sunday afternoon. I still get
goosebumps to this day each time I reflect on it!)

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon in early Spring. I was minding my auntie's
flat whilst she was out visiting relatives. As the Sunday afternoon movie
on TV wasn't quite to my liking, I thought I would pop into the bedroom
and relax with a good book.

As I lay there, deeply engrossed in my adventure novel, I suddenly heard
the faint sound of shuffling footsteps from somewhere inside the flat.

I listened, frowning as the sound of the footsteps grew more distinct, as
if they were shuffling, nearer and nearer, towards the closed bedroom
door. The footsteps sounded just like those that my auntie would make . .
. or any old woman with a habit of dragging her feet as she walked.

Putting my book down, I listened closely. My immediate thought was that
maybe my auntie had come back to the flat, for some reason. However, I
could not recall her knocking on the door, or even using her own key to
let herself in . . .

"Fran, is that you?" I called out.

No answer.

The footsteps shuffled to a stop. Right outside the room in which I was
lying.

I frowned puzzledly.

"Fran, are you back?" I called out again.

Still no answer. A deathly silence.

Expecting the door handle to turn any minute, I jumped up off the bed, my
novel falling to the floor with the sudden disturbance, and rushed towards
the door. My breath seemed to catch in my throat. My heart was thudding
madly. Suddenly, a weird feeling of unease was gripping my stomach.

I pulled the door open, expecting to see a figure standing there to greet me.

But there was nobody there.

The flat was completely empty, except for myself.

Then I remembered that the old lady who used to have the flat before my
aunt, a woman called Jessie, had died there a few years ago. Like my aunt,
she too used to drag her feet as she walked along.

Were the shuffling footsteps I had heard so clearly actually been hers?

Suddenly, I was in no mood for further contemplation. I hastily put my
book away, locked up the flat, and was out of it like a shot.

Right to this day, I can still hear my dad's reaction that Sunday
afternoon as I arrived back home:

"Your're back early, Al. What's wrong?"
