On December 2^nd over 150 of Atlanta 's leaders will come together for panel discussions on Lincoln 's legacy and Atlanta today. Between panels, the Transforming Community Project will facilitate small group discussions about race, the city, its history and possibilities for the future of the region. CJ will be facilitating on behalf of the Tunnel Builder Institute and the League of Young Voters Education Fund. Get more details here!

Columbus TBI This Weekend!

CJ is on his way to Columbus, Ohio for a Tunnel Builder Institute co-sponsored by the Gathering for Justice, the Columbus Gathering and Gyenayame Warriors.

If you're from Columbus, come out to the Urban Spirit Coffee Shop at 893 E. Long Street this Friday, October 16th from 6pm- 9pm. The Institute will continue on Saturday the 17th from 9am to 4pm, and on Sunday from 9am to 1pm. RSVP to Devin Shaw at dj2978 at gmail.com or just show up!

We have some exciting news friends, family, and supporters...

The League of Young Voters Training Program is partnering with CIRCLE (CENTER FOR INFORMATION & RESEARCH ON CIVIC LEARNING AND ENGAGEMENT)

CIRCLE conducts research on the civic and political engagement of Americans between the ages of 15 and 25. CIRCLE has begun to change public discourse and press coverage about young people as citizens by providing a stream of reliable data and analysis that helps Americans to understand the strengths and weaknesses of civic education.

The partnership with CIRCLE will begin on OCT 21, in Milwaukee Wisconsin at St. Marcus Lutheran School. This intensive civic engagement project will be ongoing for six weeks.. Society has invested too little in trying to engage them, let alone rigorosly experimented with different approaches.

We believe that this partnership will help empower, inspire, and mobile non college youth in poor communities of color across the country.
