All About Nick's Girls! No Spoilers

So I want to start by saying I have been one of the biggest Bachelor/ Bachelorette fans for as far back as Season 1 (Yup that totally ages me) and I love to talk so I thought it would be fun for this go around to chat about Nick's Season as I feel like he's been on the show so much we all kind of know him! This is Nick's fourth time at finding love, so you can't even say "Third Times a Charm"!

Let's just take a moment of silence for how hot he looks in this photo! Like really hot!

In this post, we are going to round out his girls, and I'll tell you who my favourites are to take his heart!

I'm not going to lie going through the constants this year I was pleasantly surprised by all the ethnic diversity I saw. WAY TO GO ABC! I think some of that had to do with the Caila Quinn scandals of the past, but I'm very happy to see it none the less. Now if they could only find some girls who weren't under a size 6 I'd be super impressed!

Ok onto the girls:

Alexis:
This girl is a hot mess, and I don't know if ABC did that on purpose or not. First off she's Aspiring to be a Dolphin Trainer, wait did you read that right, so she currently either has no occupation worth stating or she doesn't have one at all. WHAT? As for her outfit, It sure hope they pulled this and she didn't select it herself, that would make me feel better about it. The top doesn't flatter her body type at all, the pants make her legs look oddly shaped and the boots, I can't, I really can't!

Angela:
Her smile is to DIE for, in fact, after so many seasons I feel like smiles have kind of become my thing and this girl's lights pop the room! I love her outfit choice for this photo and that she took away from all her neck/chest area by putting on a cute necklace, it works! I feel like this season seems to have a dolphin theme and I feel like that totally came out of left field, and she's a model, so to be clear she's not the most original girl to ever appear on the Bachelor, but I do really like her!

Astrid:
So when I first saw her photo, my initial first thought was she looks really sweet and kind of pulls you in but her name for me is a turn-off. Just my opinion, don't kill me over it! Her fashion choices also leave me with some questions. When I look directly at the photo, I feel like I see a lot of skin, legs, tummy and chest and in this case I feel like less is more could have been applied. In her "BIO" she says her lashes are something she can't live without (I think people need to take a step back and remember that ABC gets's them to say odd or funny things to help build their character!) but I can also understand how important lashes are to a girl!

Briana:

Another Dolphin fan, I told you guys it feels like a theme this year. I feel like we are kindred spirits in the sense that I also always wanted to be Ariel from the little mermaid when I was growing up because her hair colour is rocking! I feel like they are playing her up to be the sweet, good girl, from a small town. And she looks that part well, I have a feeling she's going to show us some water works this season, just a hunch.

Brittany:

I know it's stereotypical of me to say this, but girls named Brittany who go on reality TV always make me worry they are total train wrecks. And again if ABC is helping to "cast" these girls into roles by dressing them they picked the right outfit for this girl. I was talking with some girlfriends and one of them pointed out her top isn't really a crop top, she's rolled it up! You're telling me this girl didn't own a single real crop top, and no one could go buy one? Come on! Add to that the fact that it looks like a sports top, with kinda ripped pants (I say kinda because whoever designed these pants did a bad job, you'll see what I mean later in this post) and FRINGE boots. P.S totally not bashing the fringe, I love a good fringe boot. However, you can't even see them in this photo and if you could this is not the outfit for them!

Christen:

A way better example of what a "ripped" pant should look like, BRITTANY TAKE NOTE! While I think she seems okay, I think that's the problem. No matter how much I look at her photo she appears to blend into the background, not a good thing for reality TV, I guess we will see more what she is like as the season moves forward. Also just want to add that she said out loud that she want's to break into the White House, while I love that at least she's smart and wants to know how things work, talking about breaking into the most famous building in the USA is probably not the best way to introduce yourself. And I feel like at some point the person who gave her this hair style for this photo was just mean!

THE FIRST OF MY FAVOURITES

Corinne:

Her outfit is everything, she shows the right amount of skin, class it up with some heels and simple necklace and rocks that side pose. You can tell by looking at her that she's confident but not cocky and I love it! I love this girl so much already! Also, that mega-watt smile is for sure doing to catch Nick's attention, but it also has a hidden "Bring it on Girls" quality to it. This should get interesting!

Danielle L.:

First I love her side pose and cheeky smile, she seems like she's going to be trouble, but I think it's going to be a fun kinda of trouble. She has two butterfly tattoos, and that's awesome because I have one, TWINS! Plus her outfit is not over the top but still has that pop to it, I think she's a good one!

Danielle M.:

I hate when there are two girls with that same name on a season, but I feel like they do it on purpose. So the rose ceremony is more exciting because you have to wait for him to say the first initial of their last name before you know who he's talking about. I love her movie and book choices, and my heart breaks for her over the loss of her fiancé, I just wonder if they are going to try to turn that into a "She's not completely healed" story line, I hope not!

Dominique:

Her BIO totally gave me life and if you haven't read it, you should! I love her outfit, and the color is beautiful on her! Her smile is amazing, and I'm hoping she's a front runner, but I don't think she is.

Elizabeth:

Love that she has some curves, no stick figure here, thank the lord! However, the ruffle top one rate boobs aren't flattering, and I think she could have chosen a better top. I do however love her smile, but her comments about her killing people and how she would be happy if she never had to in her Bio just put me off.

Hailey:

This one is from my hometown of Vancouver so I should love her but something about her face reminds me of the Twins from Ben's season, and I didn't like them. Don't hate me, I just didn't! I at least hope she behaves and makes Vancouver proud, unlike a previous male constant from Vancouver who was a total idiot!

Isa Marie:

She's going to be this season's dumb girl, I can tell by her bio. They asked her about what her favourite book is her response was "I need to read more books" and then they asked about her favourite authors and again the same response. I'm not even going to talk about the outfit, I'll just say this, they found the smallest piece of fabric they could to cover her top, and that's just not flattering.

Jaimi:

I love that this girl has been driven in her career and has done some big things as a Chef, GO GIRL! I also love her dress and find her super classy. The only downside that one of my friends brought up last night ion our chat was that her hair colour matches her skin tone! Anyone else sees that?

Jasmine G.:

Another double name, Noooooo! I love that she loves Olivia Pope but feel like they want that to make her more relatable, and I feel like OP has been kinda overdone in 2016. However, her three lunch choices are fantastic, and she would order PIZZA! A girl after my own heart!

Jasmine B.:

Her bio made me laugh as a fellow short girl who also tells everyone that she's 5'2 and a half! That half matters to us, trust me. I love her smile, and she seems super laid back but the shoes, why oh why would you pair chunky brown heels with that fabulous dress. So not ok!

Josephine:

If I had a lot of money and could only bet on one horse to destroy the whole show, this would be the one. I know basing this on a photo alone is so judgemental but really, look at this picture and tell me you didn't immediately jump to that thought as well? She also looks like she dancing a gig and is unemployed and put that on her BIO, put that your studying or something, be interesting!

Kristina:

I want to start by saying I think there may be some issues in this girl's past. She's a stunner for sure, but I think the fact that there are so many past issues she apparently still hasn't dealt with may be off-putting to our guy Nick. However, those of us with the worst past issues always seem to be the best catches, not speaking about anyone I know or anything! LOL

Lacey:

I have a good friend named Lacey and whenever I think of that name I think of grace, style and beauty. This girl checks two of those boxes for sure. The heart-shaped neckline and huge black boots are just so not following with the rest of the outfit! Someone get this girl a stylist, PLEASE!

Lauren:

WAIT! Another blonde bombshell named Lauren, where does ABC find all these girls! First off this one is a Law School Graduate, that's a step in the right direction. But she's also a dolphin lover, a stance that so many of these girls LOVE dolphins. I love her laid back casual style dressed up with a side of classy brown gladiator heels. This outfit is giving me life.

ANOTHER ONE OF MY TOP PICKS!

Michelle:

Another name that holds a very high standard for me because of a friend in my life with this name, who may or may not have also been on this show, but I digress! She's confident and classy and owns her own food truck. The way to a guys heart is through his mouth, maybe that's where Andi and Kaitlyn went wrong with Nick!

Olivia:

Does anyone else feel like this name is forever funnier in the Bachelor franchise, even though she turned out to be the least crazy of all? This girl played on her high school football team, anyone else thinks that's totally bad ass, I DO! And because of that I'll forgive her the name, not her fault and that fact that she looks a lot like the previously mentioned Caila, her parents are responsible for both of those things.

ANOTHER TOP PICK FOR ME!

Rachel:

Sidestepping into another Reality Show, did you know that Rachel Riley was my favorite ever constant on Big Brother, like EVER! So I love this girl off the bat! Add to that that she is an Attorney, which is a career path I always wanted to have, I love to argue and think I'd be pretty good at it. And that if she could be anyone for a day she would be the current first lady Michelle Obama, I really want this one to go far!

ANOTHER PICK AND THIS ONE FOR REALLY GOOD REASONS!

Raven:

HEAR ME WHEN I SAY THIS! The casting directors of this show are the genius, like the total genius. This girl is Andi and Kaitlyn combined. No joke look at her face, it's like they took the two other girls and smashed their faces together. I think she's going to be a front runner based on that alone! Also, can we just talk about the fact that she's pulling off Silver Sparkly heels, you go girl!

Sarah:

This girl seems like she's lost and the show hasn't started. The grade school teacher looks the part, sweet and down to earth and I love that about her. Nick needs a girl to keep her grounded, but bad boys never go for the good girls! I love the jeans, minus as my friend pointed out the top horizontal stripes that make her thighs look wider than they are, not cute!

Taylor:

Let's start with she lists Forever 21 as her favourite designer, does she know that Forever 21 doesn't design anything? They buy clothes from original designers and then sell them for way more money then they are worth in their store. True Talk! And honestly, with that, I think I've said it all!

Susannah:

Another Ariel lover? How is this possible. I will say this and it may upset some people but she has a thigh gap, and her legs are crossed over each other. Either this girl loves the gym or lives to make a woman like me feel like no matter how hard we try we will never live up to this standard. I'm trying so hard not to hate her based on that but I can't. I just can't. I do however love everything about her outfit, EVERYTHING!

MY TOP PICK!

Vanessa:

First I feel at 29 she's the right age for him, she has a job, a real amazing one at that helping Special Needs students. And she's CANADIAN! Her smile screams that you want to be near her get to know her, be her friend, love her. YES! Her smile says all of that. She also lists her personality as her three best attributes. WINNER and if Nick doesn't pick her she had better be the next Bachelorette! Also, note to BRITTANY, this is how you wear ripped JEANS!

Whitney:

Last but not least is this Pilates instructor who clearly needs to get out and enjoy the theater more! She does seem to genuinely enjoy the movie, that's a plus. And loves her black on black on black and it suits her well. She also looks tall as heck, look at those legs!

TOO FACED Palette Collection!

Hey Everyone!

So today I want to walk you through my Too Faced Eyeshadow Palette collection. I don't own them all but the ones I do I really love! All Too Faced shadows are pigmented and easy to blend, some are more powdery then others but nothing that can't be worked with. I recommend any of the ones I talk about below and if you have any others that are must haves for you let me know in the comments, I'd love to try them out!

Let's start with the Country palette which has become one of my most used. The colours in this palette work beautifully together to create so many beautiful and fun eye looks. You can do everything with this palette from a complete everyday natural look to a fun pop of colour using the blue and purple shades. I also love the names of the shadows in this Palette, the larger three shades are named after amazing female country singers most famous songs and then you have the classic country names like Dolly, Y'all and of course the Bluebird.

The details on the front of this palette are so cute, from the rope in heart shapes to the pink colouring.

Swatches Right to Left: Cowboy Take Me Away (Matte),

Famous in a Small Town (Shimmer), and

All American Girl (Metallic)

Swatches Top to Bottom: Paper Roses (Shimmer),

Next up we have the A La Mode palette, which was a summer launch and the colours inside are summer favourites of mine for sure! This palette has a stunning Pink and Copper eyeshadow shade that are two of my must have eyeshadows of all time.

As always Too Faced delivered on the packaging. I love the blend of pink and orange,

with the pop of blue. So Pretty!

As you can see right off the top the inside of this palette really pops. So many bright colours to work with and so many beautiful colours stand out!

Swatches Top to Bottom: St. Tropez (Glitter Flecks),

Riviera (Satin), and La Croisette (Metallic)

Swatches Top to Bottom: Jardin (Shimmer),

Soleil (Shimmer), and Cannes (Shimmer).

Swatches Top to Bottom: De La Mer (Matte),

Monaco (Satin), and Cote d'Azur (Metallic).

Onto the Boudoir Eyes palette, which is the perfect palette for anyone who likes sexy and smokey eyes! This palette has some gorgeous natural shades but throws in a amazing Taupe, a matte Grey and a beautiful almost Black with gold shimmer colour!

The packaging literally looks like a tufted head board and I have always wanted one of those.

This palettes packaging for me is the classiest of all the ones I own!

As you can see the Taupe colour, Lap Dance, is by far my favourite in this palette and has a nice sized dent in it. Did I also say that the names on all these colours are beyond amazing. Garter Belt, Lap Dance, Fuzzy Handcuffs........

Swatches Top to Bottom: Birthday Suit (Satin),

Satin Sheets (Metallic), and In The Buff (Matte).

Swatches Top to Bottom: Sugar Walls (Satin),

Voulez-Vous (Satin), and Fuzzy Handcuffs (which is a very hard to see peachy Matte).

Swatches Top to Bottom: French Tickler (Glitter),

Lap Dance (Metallic), and Garter Belt (Matte).

Onto the Natural Eyes palette, which is the most everyday wearable palette for the average person. I find the colours in this one to almost all be in the Brown toned family, don't get me wrong some of my most beautiful looks using this palette. I love the Gold and the Rose Gold, hands down my two favourite eyeshadows of all time.

This packaging always makes me think Romance, from the soft colours to the roses!

I love the layout of this palette, it has 4 matte shades and 5 shimmer/satin shades

and all of them work really well together.

Honey Pot (Satin) and Cashmere Bunny (Matte).

The Romantic Eye palette is the only original packaging Too Faced palette I have. It's not the tin, it's made of cardboard but it's held up over a long time. This one also has the most unique colours in it.

Like I said, interesting colour mix right? The green gold, the deep purple,

the matte grey. Separate they don't look like much, but create a look with

them and you feel different!

Kiss the Bride (Matte) and Soulmates (Glitter).

Un-Veil (Matte) and I Do (Matte).

As you can see I have almost all the Too Faced palettes and I even have a few more then this but got them after I posted this. If you would like me to do full reviews and swatches of the other ones feel free to let me know in the comments.

Too Faced palettes are some of the best quality eyeshadows you can get. They lay out great colour combinations and make it easy for the beginner in makeup but also give so many colour choices that even us makeup pros can have a lot of fun with their palettes.

Final thoughts if you don't own at least one of these, you need to!

Hey Everyone!

I recently saw Shaaanxo do a video on these and got super excited, I love a pigmented bright lip colour almost as much as I love my kids! I got 5 of the colours from this line and could not be happier with almost all of them. All of these go on really smooth and aren't patchy at all, the formula of these is done really well.

The packaging on these lipsticks is HOT PINK and it's amazing, it has a glossy finish so it doesn't show finger prints. I don't think I know of any other lipsticks that have a line in all HOT PINK packaging.

This is Zoink and I wanted this to be the perfect nude colour for me but unfortunately it made me look like I had concealer all over my lips. They swatch on my hand seemed so peachy and pretty but once it was on it totally washed me out. * SAD FACE *

Pop was one of my favourites of the ones I got, I'm really into these soft coral/oranges recently and headed into Fall I know I won't get much use out of them but I'm loving them. This one is a beautiful creamy almost matte finish, it looks amazing on my lips!

Pow is a deeper and brighter version of Pop and it's up there on my favourites list. It's a beautiful orange with just a hint of red and surprisingly doesn't make my teeth look overly yellow.

Bang is the kind of colour you wear when you want everyone to look at your lips, it's the perfect neon matte. Reminds me a lot of Candy Yum Yum but not matte, it has a slight shine to it but it's not overly glossy.

Last but defiantly not least is Slam which is a beautiful pinky red and I am in love with it. This is almost always my go to colour for life but I really love the balance of pink and red in this one.

Hey Everyone!

So I got a VoxBox to share with you, this is the second time I've tried the Impress nails because they came in a previous VoxBox.

I got two different styles and I thought both were fun and surprisingly wearable!

I have to say I love these nails! When I want my nails to look done but not have to spend hours doing them I always reach for a set of these. They really do last and they are so easy to apply!

4 or More TAG!

Hey Everyone!

So here is my 4 or more TAG!

When I was pulling the products for this video I had a really hard time, as most of you know my makeup collection is pretty large. It truly would have been a lot easier to pull things I have 4 or less of. And of course this got my thinking, how much is too much?

I do makeup for a job, it's not a hobby or just YouTube for me. I am a working makeup artist so I find that I justify the amount of stuff I own using that excuse. Truth is I haven't used some of my makeup for a really long time, coming up on a year now, so maybe it isn't about what you do but how much you use. I rarely wear makeup myself, I have super sensitive skin and no time!

I have thought and even tried to go thru and pull what I don't use as much but at the end of the day no matter how big of a dent I make I always get it filled right back up! Makeup is a never ending obsession, there will always be a new product, a new colour, or special packaging. My words of wisdom for all yo out there reading this, buy what you will use, don't buy something that you know you will never touch because the packaging is pretty. When you buy something and it doesn't work for you return it (yes you can do that!), don't just let it sit and grow, trust me before you know it the collection will over take you!

Where have I been!

I know I know!

I'm an awful Blogger and I'm truly sorry, I don't have a laptop anymore so so whatever reason when I'm sitting at my desk I do a lot of editing but I always forget to get on here and BLOG for you. So my goal is now to host at least 4 BLOG's a month and also try to link to all my YouTube videos thru here.

So the last two months have been super busy, with what you ask? Well planning for Brilliant! has started again, for anyone who doesn't know Brilliant! is a charity fashion show for St. Paul's hospital in Vancouver, I've been a part from year one and now at year 3 I am in change of all things makeup. I have over 60 makeup artists and around 100 models and it can be a very hectic time. The show isn't until September but we start planning in March!

The boys are both doing really well, Logan has his 11th Birthday coming up, I really can't believe he's almost 11, where idd the time go? Paxton is going to be 3 this year, WOW, I have a hard time even typing that. He is my baby after all and he's not a baby anymore.

Both the boys took skating lessons so far this year, Logan did amazing and Paxton had no desire to skate until we put a hockey stick in his hands, then you couldn't get him off the ice!

He's also very artistic and thinks outside the box, I guess the paper wasn't exciting enough so his body became his canvas. He was covered by the time I finally stopped him!

And he got his first haircut, this was a very sad day for MOM!

Even with an 8 year age gap there are the best of friends, these two are my life blessings, and I'm so thankful!

We took a trip to Alberta to see their dad and my parents who are now living there. It's a very long drive and both my kids were so sleepy! This is them sleeping on the drive home, so cute!

Well there's an update and some of the awesome kid-cuteness! Hope you in enjoyed it and I'll be sure to talk to you guys a lot more!

TTT (Thursday Treasure or Trash) - L'Oreal Lip Gloss

Hey Everyone!

Here is a NEW Thursday Treasure or Trash (TTT) for you! I'm really enjoying these new lip products from L'Oreal, their name is so long and confusing thats one thing I don't like. I love that for the most part I can throw any of these into my purse and go. They give a very nice hydrating, glossy, full pigmented lip colour.

Here are all the colours I own, the shade range on this line is amazing and there truly is something for everyone!

I really love the sleek gold packaging, it reminds me of YSL or something very expensive. The only downside is it shows finger tips like you wouldn't believe!

Here you have all the "arm" swatches (thanks Logan (My Son) for letting me use your arm. The family that blogs together, stays together.

As you can see most of these colours have some real pigment in them and they are all super glossy. I'm a fan!

Clinique Cheek POP Blushes!

Hey Everyone,

So I got these blushes back in February and I have been using them fairly regularly from then until now and I'm still loving them! These are a very smooth and creamy formula and then glide on and blend on like butter, plus I LOVE their packing it's beyond cute!

Their are four colours in total but I only picked up two of them. The first colour I got was 03 Berry Pop and I knew I wanted this one right away. It's a beautiful medium toned pink colour and it gives your cheeks that perfect flush.

The other colour I picked up was 02 Peach Pop and like Berry Pop this is also a very bright tone. This one is more of a peachy coral and have a beautiful sparkle to it.

Hand swatch you can see just how pretty this coral colour is!

I've been telling myself for weeks to go out and grab the other two colours and just haven't gotten around to doing it yet but I still plan to. I think these are defiantly worth the slightly higher price tag at $24.00 Canadian each.

Where have I been!

Well HELLO there!

It really has been forever but I'll be completely honest with you now that my laptop has officially gone to electronic heaven blogging isn't so easy anymore. I used to spend most of my nights in bed and blogging but now I have only 1 computer and when I'm sitting in a chair I don't feel inspired to write. However I do promise to work on this, even if that means getting a new laptop (don't twist my rubber arm!).

I'll give you a quick update of what 2014 has looked like for me so far. We moved houses again at the end of 2013, which was both a pain and a blessing. My mother and father moved into the basement of our current home and that has given us lots of family time. The best thing ever to happen for my kids!

This is Grandpa, Logan and Paxton goofing around when we went to play mini golf!

This is Grandma with all her grandsons and the puppies!

A big milestone was Paxton getting his first big boy haircut, man that was a hard one. Any other moms feel that way when they took their little boy for their first cut? It was so hard to watch his beautiful curls fall to the ground and to watch him change from a baby faced little boy into a small man!

Last little update for tonight the boys are still closer then ever, I keep waiting for the moment when they want nothing to do with each other (they are 8 years apart after all) but it doesn't seem to be coming. Paxton is Logan's shadow and wants to do everything with his big brother and Logan just seems perfectly happy to allow him to do so. Warms my heart to see how much they love each other!

This month has been full of friends, family and fun, we truly couldn't be more blessed at this moment and when I look back on the end of 2013 I find it so hard to believe the place I was at and how unhappy things were. Goes to show me everything really does happen for a reason!

Crazy About Lipstick Tag!

Hey Everyone!

So I was reading some of my fav BLOGS over the last couple of days and I ran across a TAG that I had to do. This is the crazy about Lipstick Tag and I stole it from the always witty Cheshire Cat and if you don't know who she is you should go check out her blog here:

So with that being said let's get into this!

1. How many lipsticks do you own?

Honestly I can't answer this, mainly because it would take me forever to count and I don't know if it's a fair question seeing as most of my lipsticks are for my kit and not my own personal use but to appease the masses I will insert a photo so you can have some of an idea as to how many I have.

And just so I'm being honest that isn't all of them but at least I gave you an idea right?

2. What was your first lipstick?

This one was easy for me as it is hands down still one of my FAVS. It was Ruby Woo by MAC and yes it's super drying and yes that's crappy but the colour can't be beat!

3. What is your most worn lipstick?

Most worn......well the first one that comes to mind is MAC Syrup. It's just that kind of lip colour that looks good on everyone and is really wearable.

4. What is your favourite brand of lipstick?

This question had to be broken into to two for me to be fair.

High End: Is MAC, they just have such a colour range and so many different finishes. You can find almost anything from shade to formula.

Drug Store: NYX and this is one I thought about for a long time. It has all the same reasons as MAC. Huge colour range and different formulas. They feel amazing on your lips and they last a really long time.

5. What is your favourite finish?

Within MAC it has to be the Amplified finish because I love that they aren't completely drying but they are beyond bright. They are really a WABAM lipstick. The Maybelline Colour Vivid's would be my FAV drugstore finish for the same reasons as the MAC amplified!

6. What is the last lip product you bought?

I just placed a SEPHORA order that I'm waiting to arrive with a bunch of FALL and BERRY tone lipsticks! I can't wait to show those to you guys.

7. How many lip products (everything) do you currently have in your handbag?

6 and don't look so schocked because more then half of that number is just lip balm/chap stick. I love having smooth lips so I always find myself reaching for something to hydrate my lips.

8. What lip product do you use to rock a red lip?
This is my go to RED LIP! I love it because it's bright and it lasts all day!

I use Cover Girl lip pencil in Passion and fill in my entire lip and then I put Cover Girl Hot Passion lipstick over top. Beautiful!

9. How do you store your lipstick?

Depends on which lipstick we are talking about, all my work/kit lipsticks are melted down and stored in a plastic container, which looks like this:

The rest of my collection is kept in a few drawers in my ALEX from IKEA. Some are in boxes and some are in acrylic containers, I'm not 100% happy with my lipstick, it's something I'm working on!

10. What lip products are you currently lusting after?

It has to be anything YSL, every time I look at one I want it but the price TAG always keeps me from buying them. I can just buy some many other products for the same price as one YSL.

Life as it is....

So as I am sitting in class today learning about how to get hair ready for a bald cap (something we do in TV and Film) my phone starts to ring and I look at the caller ID and see it's my sons school. At this point honestly I hesitate because I know it can't be good news, lately they seem to be calling a lot more because of bad news. I step away from the current demo and answer the phone only to be told that my son is acting out again and they don't know what to do with him. It's in this moment that once again I feel guilty for going back to school to do something for myself. Have you ever felt that way? You don't have to be a parent to feel guilt over doing something for yourself. I hate that feeling because I haven't done anything wrong but somehow I feel like if I was at home where I believe in that moment I should be, then maybe he wouldn't have acted out. I know in theory how silly that is, he is a 9 year old boy acting out is his middle name right now, but I can't help but feel like staying at home gives me super powers to make everything go right.

If I had a super power it would be the power to balance everything in perfect harmony everyday. With this super power no one would ever get up late, there would be no pop tarts for breakfast because there really just isn't time for anything else, no "hurry run the first bell's already gone", me going to school would somehow not involved me taking one second away from my kids, dinner would always be ready at 6 and both kids would be fast asleep by 8:30 every night so that the rest of the time I could spend being a good girlfriend,

As I type that out I have one son in his room yelling "I can't find my "PJ's" the other child just finished a bath and my wonderful B/F is dressing him for bed. It's 8:30 and I know no one is going to be asleep before 9pm tonight. When I think about this day and how it would be different if I had my magic super power I think of all the things I'd miss out on. Sometimes in life's chaos comes beautiful peace. I lay here about to cuddle with my two amazing boys and drink hot chocolate and truthfully I love everything about this beautiful chaos.

P.S The B/F is the one making the hot chocolate because life is all about balance.

When life gives you lemons...

So life have been very hard these last few weeks, between my youngest son Paxton being very sick and my living situation sometime sI find it hard to see light at the end of the tunnel.

I live in a CoOp, for anyone who doesn't know it's a place where everyone works together and lives within a community feeling, the units are smaller but you have a family feeling as everyone should help each other. That has not been my experience here and I have faced backlash and a lot of it for trying to get people to stick to the rules and not go off and do whatever they want. I would say I have 2 or 3 really great friends here but for each of those friends there are at least 3 people who work daily to make my life miserable. I'm not going to go into a huge rant about what these people have done to me cause honestly they aren't worth but the message I wanted this post to send to you, my readers, was be true to who you are always. Don't ever fake who you are or what you believe in to make people be nice to you or like you. People who aren't willing to be respectful and get to know you they don't deserve to know you in the first place.

Every person is different and the most important thing in life to remember is you don't have to like everyone but being respectful is a direct reflection on you. If you disrespect someone that only reenforce that fact that you aren't comfortable or secure within yourself.

A Special Little Treat......

My small DIOR haul!

So it's been a rough week, truthfully it's been a rough month and I needed some retail relaxation. I went to the mall looking for items from the new Lancome Show collection but got pulled to the DIOR counter. The blush/bronzer duo has been something I've been talking myself out of getting for over a month and I finally gave it.

Coral Glow:

Let's start with DIOR packaging cause it in itself is a work of art. Each item comes in it's own velvet wrapper and then when you take that off you have this very sleek looking metal compact. It has a a pattern on the top and then when you open it the mirror is the whole one side of the compact, it's a nice size. Before I talk about the colour this also came with a very nice blush brush which for the price is a nice addition.

Onto the colour first let's talk about the bronzer side because I love it! It's not a dark colour or a too orange colour, it looks perfect on my very fair skin and I love that DIOR didn't make the darker colour of the two unwearable. The blush side is as gorgeous as you think it would be, it is the most beautiful coral flush and looks amazing on. It looks very natural and really helps to wake up the skin.

This product is hands down worth every cent you pay for it, DIOR also has a pink one but I found the pink too light for my skin tone.

I had a buy $70 and get $10 off coupon so I had to get something else so I also got one of the new Dior Addict new summer colour lipsticks. The colour I got was 771 which is a very nice medium pink colour.

The packaging again is just amazing! When the light hits it it becomes different colours, it's beautiful to look at. And the lipstick it self is a very moisturizing formula and has a very nice colour pay off. It's a very nice medium pink colour and wears for about 4 hours before needing to be reapplied.

You guys know I'm not big on higher end makeup, I offend find that you can get just as nice stuff at the drugstore but sometimes it's just nice to treat yourself and get something a little extra special!

Julep for June

Hey Everyone,

So Julep for June was honestly my dream box, I don't know if they will ever be able to top this box in my eyes. Between the bright colours, the pretty pastels and the fact that most of them cover perfectly in only one coat really made it fell like Christmas in June!

How true is that? Have you ever thought about "Style" that way, I know I hadn't but I am going to make an effort to start now!

For me this box was basically two sections, the brights and the pastels and even though the reddish orange colour in the second photo really had more of a pastel feel I felt like the colour was too rich to go with the others.

Let's break it down by Box Type!

It Girl featured Char a beautiful and true bright blue colour, Bess a beautiful robins blue, and Nan a burnt orange colour. I've seen Nan in other photos and it looks like a coral cream but mine doesn't look that way!

Classic With A Twist included Kennedy a Yellowish-Nude cream colour and Martha a very soft pink cream that reminds me of a strawberry milkshake.

The last two are my favourite out of the whole box and we will start with BOHO Glam. Lexie was the first colour that really caught me eye when I opened my box. It's a beautiful bright yellow colour and I love yellow for doing designs with and it also came with Dianna the perfect light green. These two will look amazing together!

My second favourite and the last ones in the box came from the Bombshell type and that's just what these are BOMBSHELL colours. Raegan the most amazing hot pink cream I own, and Payton, which get's points first for having the same name as my favourite footballer but then it's all about the colour with this amazing BRIGHT green! STUNNING!

Like I said I am in LOVE with this box! I'm wearing Reagan and Dianna on my nails right now and as I'm typing this I can't help that I keep looking at my nails and thinking "how PRETTY are these!"

Hey Everyone!

I am in LOVE with this months Julep box! First off you can never have enough nudes but look at those amazing neons!!

Here are some closer shots of the whole collection:

Alright let's start with the Hand and Cuticle cream. This really is a wonder product for me, it's helps soften the area around my nail and I had always had an issue with the little pieces of skin the pull up around the nail. Not anymore!

I also love the stick format because it makes it so easy to apply and it doesn't get all over my fingers which can be more sensitive then the area right around my nails.

COLOR TIME!!!

Our first color combo is Boho Glam and that came with Fiona and Teresa. The first thing I thought when I saw Fiona was Shrek! It's a stunning bright green.

Next we have American Beauty which has Bethany and Mindy. Bethany is bright orange creme color, it really pops and if you put it on-top of Mindy which is a very pale pink it really pops.

Bombshell has the most amazing Purple color called Bette and a beautiful everyday color called Ava. It's a perfect pink colour, just perfect!

When I looked at these two colors I knew that they were the Classic With A Twist combo. They both scream it, LOUD! The pink neon is called Madison and it's a bright pink creme and the nude is Grace a very ice light pink. The only thing I don't like is Grace is really sheer, maybe too sheer to wear on it's own.

It Girl is my usual style and it came with two neons and one nude and I really wasn't too impressed with this set! Nikki is the highlighter yellow shade and it's really not very pretty to be honest! I like Ameila but I find it has almost to much of a shine to it, but the saving grace of this set was Nina. It's a orangesicle creme color that I have a feeling I will wear all summer! It reminds me a lot of Parker another color I LOVE!

December Glossy Box

Hey Everyone!

So when I opened up the shipping box and saw this amazing sliver box I was wowed by colour. I love it! I also really like it when GlossyBox sends something other then the regular pink box.

So we got lots of goodies on the December box and a lot of them I'm really excited about! Here's a picture of everything we got. We got some hair products, some face product and some makeup products.

This first one in all honesty is my favourite. Most of you know I love sliver nail polish, in fact I love all metallic nail polish and I don't own even one Revlon nail polish. So I'm excited to try this formula and let you guys know what I think!

Next we got these really pretty simple stud earrings. I love that we got something a little different and extra but more then that something I'll use. Having a baby means no dangling earrings for me. These are a really pretty teal blue shade and I know I'll be putting them to good use.

Now onto hair products and you guys know how I feel about hair products over loading beauty boxes but this was a dry shampoo and that is something I will use! We also got a small sample of shampoo and conditioner but the dry shampoo is what I'm excited to try.

Eyelashes?!?!? Glossybox how did you know? I love a good pair of false eyelashes and after playing with these guys for a couple of days I can tell you these are really nice. The band on them is s good size for applying them but also very bendable so they are easy to aptly.

The next two products are both from Aveeno and with my sensitive skin Aveeno is a brand I reach for often. I got the Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer and the Tinted Moisturizer in fair to light. I haven't used either of these yet so I get to try some new stuff which is awesome. They both came as full sized so that is great!

Sorry! I forgot to add this in there! This is a really pretty pink lip gloss from Avon. I love this colour and it's really wearable for everyday!

Maybelline Vivids Colorsensational Lipsticks

Hey Everyone!

So when I was out at Shopper's Drug Mart I saw the display for these and had to pick some of them up!

These lip colours are so bright and full pigmented and on top of that they are moisturizing, they are made with honey nectar. I get about 3 to 4 hours of wear with these but they do wear off if I eat or drink.

#865 FUCHSIA FLASH

This is a very bright hot pink colour! The shade would work on every skin tone cause it is just a straight pink it doesn't pull blue or orange. This is my favourite shade from the new line!

#875 VIVID ROSE

This colour looks exactly like what it is called. It's a reddish hue but pulls kind of pink when swatched. This is the perfect red colour if you want to try a red but are worried about how it will look on you. The pink in this will make it look good on almost all skin tones!

#895 ON FIRE RED

This is your classic red shade, it's deep and a pure beautiful red shade. I use it as an everyday lip colour but for anyone who isn't as bold you can try taking your finger and just patting it onto the lips. This will give a much softer affect.

#900 HOT PLUM

This shade is a hot pink with a purple hue, it's bright and very in your face. It's a very close match for MAC's Candy YumYum but a little more purple.

November Glossy Box

Hey Everyone!

So I got my November GlossyBox, which the made Christmas themed because we don't get it till December. I loved the paper on the inside, very christmasy, it was so cute! I love the normal classy paper that GlossyBox uses but it's nice to change it up once and a while.

As far as the products go we got a pretty good selection and all from different beauty categories which is nice. I like to try a mix of products and so I like when beauty boxes come with a good selection.

This first product we got is this Curel Hand Cream, which I was super excited for because we had gotten a foot cream a few months back from Curel that I loved. Sure enough I love the hand cream as much. It absorbs really quickly but it leaves my hands feeling very moisturized and my cuticles look amazing. We got a full sized product which is always nice.

Next product was a shower gel by Vitabath which is Paraben and Sulfate FREE, LOVE that! THis product has a very strong scent and that's the only think I don't love about it. I also think the scent is more manly, it's not floral or sweet, it smells kind of like Swagger men's body wash!

We got a small sized sample of Clear Scalp Shampoo and Conditioner. I don't love these types of samples because my hair is just so picky but I think I'll pass these along to the B/F and he can try it out. And just to clarify these small samples will give you 2 to 3 uses if you have med hair length so not to bad at all.

This next product is one of my favourite out of the whole box. It's a Nicole by OPI Keeping Up With The Kardashian nail colour! My colour was Keeping Up With Santa and I LOVE it! You can never have too many red nail polishes and this one is beautiful. It's a true bright red with a red sheen finish, it's stunning to look at!

Then we got a full sized lip gloss by Maybelline NY, mine was a pretty light peach colour. I don;t like this style of gloss because I don't like applying my gloss from a hard plastic end and I also found the gloss to be very scented and very sticky. So not a huge fan of it but do like the colour.

Lastly we got another Kryolon product made just for us Glossies! Last box we got a lipstick that was created just for us in the colour Glossy Pink and this time it was a blush. I love Kryolon products as they are a professional brand and make great quality products and then blush does not disappoint. It has great colour payoff but it's so smooth and easy to blend. I've been very it almost every day from the day I got it. Hit one out of the park with this one Glossy Box!

That's it for this box everyone. People have been asking me if I still think Glossy Box is worth it because they upped their prices. I have to say I really do! In Canada you can spend $13 on an average drug store product and in this box for $21 dollars we got a nail polish, blush and lip gloss and 2 other products as well you can;t beat that value!

Julep December Box and Extras

I love when Julep adds things to my box that I wasn't expecting, it doesn't matter the value of these items it's just nice that they added something extra. In this box I got 5 of the one-step polish remover wipes.

There was an instant warming foot scrub for this month and this stuff is amazing! I love the way it feels as it warms up on my feet, plus my feet feel so smooth now.

Hey Everyone!

So I picked up this Soap and Glory Small Wonders gift set at Shoppers Drug Mart the other day and I wanted to share it with you guys. It was $20 and you get 4 good try me sized products, a pink scrubby, and a beautiful box. This would make an amazing Christmas gift or just pick one up for yourself.

Let's start with the box! It's made from cardboard but it's pretty durable and it's not flimsy as all. The colours are bright and it really is just a stand out. I would just add a bow and give it to someone.

The Products:

Hand Food Hand Cream

This is Soap and Glory's biggest seller! With macadamia oil, shea butter and marshmallow this is the most nourishing hand cream I have ever used. It seems so think when you get it out of the tube but as soon as you start rubbing it into your hands it just disappears. It absorbs into your skin leaving your hands feeling completely moisturized.

The Righteous Body Butter

This is n award winning product and that doesn't surprise me at all! This product also contains shea but also has aloe vera in it. It leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. Use right after a bath or shower on damp skin.

The Scrub Of Your Life

I think the thing I love the most abut this scrub is that it foams up so you don't feel like your scratching your skin. It has these pink coloured beads as well as little micro-beads that look like sugar that get the exfoliating job done but doesn't leave your skin feeling overly dry.

Clean On Me

This is the only product I haven't tried yet but they describe it as a creamy clarifying shower gel. It has mandarin peel extract and a built in body lotion.

The Pink Scrubby!

I think this set is such a great way to get to know the brand as well as see how you like it. The one thing I like best about Soap and Glory is that they keep the scent the same in all the products in the same lie, that way you don't end up layering on too many different scents. LOVE IT!

Want Smooth Lips?

Hey Everyone!

So as most of you know I have dry to normal skin but once winter hits it becomes very dry and my lips take a beating! They crack and flake like crazy which drives me nuts, but I have found a fix. For months I have had 4 EOS lip balms sitting in a cup on my makeup desk and I was paying no attention to them but the other day I reached for one put it on and instantly fell in love with these AGAIN.

EOS has so many different flavors and types of these lip blame that it is easy to get confused so here is the break down.

There are 4 regular line normal formula choices (Pomegranate Raspberry is limited and I can't find it any where!) and these are the basics. They are 95% Organic and 100% Natural, they have vitamin E, shea but term and jojoba oil.

Summer Fruit

Strawberry Sorbet

Honeysuckle Honeydew

Sweet Mint

My hands down favorites are Sweet Mint and Strawberry Sorbet!

Then there is Lemon Drop which is the same as the above but also has SPF 15 in it so this is my favorite to use in the summer.

Medicated Tangerine is my favorite at the moment, I don't go to bed at night without applying this to my lips. It's formulated with Zinc which helps heal cracked lips and keeps them moisturized all night or day! I have notice a real difference in my lips from the momment I started using this one.

Now for the next three I have been told these are very hard to get your hands on. Yes I'm talking about the limited edition Disney inspired by Alice and Wonderland trio. You get Blueberry Potion, Sweet Vanilla Nonsense, and Watermelon Wonderland. They even have the cute Mickey imprinted on the side!

I know I know at this point your think I have an addiction to EOS and your probably right. I love these lip balms and they are a great price for the size you get. Their quality is amazing and I love the way they smell and how that smells stays on your lips but doesn't annoyed your nose. EOS knocks it out of the park with their lip blame and I suggest everyone goes and try at least one!

GT Boxes October

Hey Everyone!

When I started opening this Topbox tube I was disappointed because I thought we had only received 3 samples but as I started opening the pieces of paper I found the coolest thing I think I've ever seen!

Let's start with Stila because we got two products from them the first one was a Stila Lip Glaze in the color Raspberry The formula of these are very nice and not overly sticky and it smells very sweet. This sample is about half of a full size product.

The next product is probably the coolest thing ever. This is NEW Stila Palette in the color In The Moment and these colors are AMAZING! This is a great way to try a whole palette and decide if you like the colors and will get use out of them. I have to say that I love all the colors in this palette and the purples are to die for!

Have you heard of MaskerAide? I hadn't but now that I have I'm defiantly going to be picking up more of these. It's a hydrating facial sheet and they come in several different types, I got the Detox Diva and used the other night for about 20 mins. The next day my skin felt so amazing and I was like why is my skin so soft? Then I remembered that I had used this product!

And last but not least was Endocare which is a product that can with Ampoules and a Tensage Radiance Contour cream. These products are meant to rejuvenate the skin and the cream is to correct and brighten the eye contour area.

This is another great Topbox Tube and as far as monthly subscription go Topbox is one of the best!

Now on to Glymm because in all honesty this month Glymm was really good which really surprised me. As far as Glymm goes every month you get some ok stuff but for the most part it's just a bunch of ok stuff , this month I feel like they really kicked it up a notch.

The first product I got was these two sample from Cyberderm which we have received in a Glymm box before but they seem to have changed the packaging. When I got these samples the first time they came in these plastic tubes that were shaped like a liquid medicine dispenser and while I thought they looked cool they were very unpractical to use and store. I like the tubes they came in this time much better. The product itself is ok, I don't like the one with sunscreen in it cause it has that very strong small but the H2O hydrating one is AMAZING!

This is a Femme Couture mascara and I HATE IT! It's a full sized sample and so it got points for Glymm for being in the box but the product itself is awful! It's such a wet formula and the bristles are so small that when you pull the wand out you can't see the bristles because the product is covering them up. AWFUL!

These came to use with the mascara and even though I won't be using that, I will be using these! So how you use the card is you place it over your eye and then put your mascara on. They help with smudging and prevent any mascara from getting onto the eyelid.

So it looks like Glymm is going to be starting a new service called Glymm MaMa and while I love the idea I would have loved it a lot more last year when I was pregnant. Either way they sent us baby oil which is ok.

September Glossy Box

Hey Everyone!

So I was so in LOVE with my September Glossy Box! It had 2 amazing full sized products and then 2 awesome sized samples and 1 smaller sized sample. I love how for the most part Glossy Box always seems to get a makeup product in our boxes, which to me is the reason I get beauty boxes so I appreciate that!

The first product we got was a full sized Wella Mirror Polish Shine Serum. This product can be used before you style or after to help smooth and also give your hair a nice high-gloss finish. I've used this product a few times and I love the way it gives my hair a shine without making it feel oily and it has an amazing scent!

Next we got two B. Kamins products but neither of them were full sized and that is probably my only complaint about my box this month. It would have been great to get a trail size of the body lotion and a full size of the lip balm. As far as the products go the body lotion takes to long to soak into the skin for me. The lip balm is nice but it leaves my lips feeling oily so I've started using this at night before bed and I like it! I can go to sleep and wake up and my lips still feel like there is balm on them.

Dove Cleartone is my new go to pitstick, this stuff is amazing! It smells really good and I've been using mine for about 3 weeks and I notice a real difference with the color in my underarm areas. It's like an exfoliator for your armpits, it's AMAZING!

The last thing the we got this month was the NYX The Crimson Amulet which was a Limited Edition product. In all honesty they could have just sent me this and that would have been enough.

This collection comes with so much stuff it's mind blowing! It has 24 eye shadows and for the most part they are all very pigmented and easy to blend. In this collection there are a good mix of mattes and shimmers. With this one box you can do so many eye looks I don't think you'll ever get tired of it!

And if the eye shadows weren't enough there are 5 blushes, 1 highlighter and 4 lip colors, WOW. It also has a HD eye primer and an eyeliner. There are 2 matte blushes and 3 shimmery blushes and the highlighter isn't over the top which is nice. It's adds a nice shimmer without being glittery.

All in all this was once again an AMAZING box! I type that so much I kind of get sick reading it but in all honesty Glossy Box always seems to blow my mind. Month after month they keep things fresh, provide great smaples, and it's always worth the price we pay for it.

Well it's almost Halloween and my kids (well only really one of my kids but he get's the other one all worked up) are already driving me nuts about it! Halloween is huge in our family and we got all out so of course when Julep came out with crackle boxes I was super excited Crackle just seems spooky to me and the colors were amazing!

When I first opened my box I just thought it looks so amazing with all the orange and fall like colors! I did get an add on box but I haven't gotten it yet so I don't have pictures of them yet, as soon I get it I will edit this post.

I got two polishes in this box the first one is Sabrina, my first thought was Sabrina the teenage witch, this is the most amazing orange color crackle. It looks really pretty over a few colors including the blue I also got in this box.

The second color I got was Eloise which is a beautiful medium blue color. It covers in one coat but I add a second one to get more color and everyone was asking me all week what colors I was wearing!

We also got these really cool quick dry drops and I have to say these have saved my life! I always do my nail polish before bed because with two kids that is the only time I can find to paint my nails. So I would paint my nails and then crawl into bed and go to sleep for the night and then of course wake up in the morning and my nails would be smudge and just look awful. With these drops I can just do my nails and add a drop and like magic they are dry! I am so in love with these, THANKS Julep!

The last thing we got in this box were these two jars of nail glitter! They came in Black and Orange and they are so pretty! I will be using these this week when I go my actual Halloween nails......stay tuned for pics on my instragram!

Add Ons!

So I got three add on with this box the first one is Hermione which is a creamy white crackle, Caroline which is Red wine color with red sparkle, and the last color is Leslie which is grayish black with sliver sparkles.
