This is a flagrant misuse of judicial power by an Islamic judge
and bodes ill for public relations. Were it to happen here I would not
cease until the judge was removed from office.

The judge appears to condone the use of violence and further
promotes it by implication. What the judge has conveniently ignored
is that the action was not "in other counties." Arabic or otherwise,
but
in the USA. He also sends a clear signal to muslims that it is OK
to to kill for Islam:

Lastly the mitigating plea of the attacker was:

So in your world, someone living on Planet X in the Andromeda Galaxy
can't be an atheist even though they've never heard of Christianity
(and therefore cannot be anti-Christian) and they lack belief in a god

Depends who you're talking to. Most people are civilized and polite,
and will just smile and nod politely while backing away slowly and
thinking you're kind of a dick. Others might laugh at you. Some will
agree with you. Some might be offended. Others might try to argue
rationally with you (good luck to them). Others still might punch you
in the head.
