Donna Flora A to Z Project - S is for Spring

Today, I am wearing a few items from the store, Donna Flora.

The brilliant designer, Squinternet Larnia, is having serious health issues.

Her friend, Cajsa, came up with a fun idea of creating The Donna Flora A to Z Project where bloggers can participate by choosing an item from store and blog about what they bought. Squinternet could definitely use some Linden love to help pay for her treatment.

I am sure there are many of you out there willing to help this talented designer overcome her health issues. I have always been a fan of her jewelry and the A to Z Project, it gave me the opportunity to wander around her store. So today I took a peek at the Mix + Mesh event. It's happening from Feb 25 until March 7th.
So many cute things... I wish I could buy it ALL!

I ended up settling for this gorgeous Ricielli Jumpsuit. I am in love with it! I've always wanted a jumpsuit that looked decent and Mesh just solved the issue with problematic prims that were so hard to fit.

OMG and the pumps from the Ladies Who Lunch !? To die for! They come with a resize HUD that I discovered by chance...LOL! The pumps didn't fit me right out of the box, but using the HUD, I was able to fit them perfectly on my avie. I just Adore them! All of the items from the Ladies Who Lunch are gorgeous and I can't wait to be able to get those pumps in different colors after the event is over.

Fashion events are great for discovering stores and many great designers!

It's all about Projections...

Don't we all love learning new things... I know I do.

This week, I came across a Plurk from Shay about how to create shadows. During this discussion, Ely mentioned something about projectors. I was wondering to myself, what are projectors and how do they relate to shadows in SL? I read on to see what they were.

A projector is a feature that involves an image and light, kind of like the projector a school teacher uses to show things on a blank wall.

In order to create or even see projectors in-world, shadows need to be enabled and set to Sun/Moon + Projectors in the SL viewer.

A more detailed description about projectors and how to create them can be found on Inara Pey’s blog.

Anyway, here is a raw shot I took in-world putting into practice what I've just learned.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge 3rd Week - Electric Indigo

I am sorry I haven't posted anything last week. I've been busy in RL and will be busy for the next few weeks. My family,whom I miss so much, is visiting from Brazil. Although I should have posted this last week, it's better late than never. I am trying not to miss any of the Color Challenge weeks. I need to get used to blogging.

This week, I had no time to shop in-world; therefore, most of the items I am wearing are from the Marketplace. I love shopping at the Marketplace! It's so much easier to find items, and there's no lag ! YAY !

I sometimes don't have much patience to shop in-world because it's such a pain waiting for everything to rezz. I'll admit that it has become less of a hassle shopping in-world since I've gotten a better computer.

On another note, Mayfly has released some pretty awesome mesh eyes, which I am wearing today. The detail on them is amazing! I am starting to really like mesh more and more each day.

Without further ado, here is my Electric Indigo outfit. I just had to add the light bulb, because how in the world is Electric Indigo different from plain Indigo !? =P

So, this is it. I finally worked up the courage to post something here on the World Wide Web for anyone to see; what better motivation to finally start blogging than a challenge?

It's all supposed to be fun, but a girl does need some motivation. The 52 Weeks of Color Challenge did it for me.

No, I can't promise fancy words or pretty pictures. I'll just be doing my best and hopefully, I'll learn along the way. I hope you can bare with me on this crazy ride !

I'll be blogging about things that excite me; may them be a cute new outfit, an awesome LM I came across, or something completely random. It will just be All Things Julia. We all have our own style and it's worth sharing. You never know, it might inspire you or spark a new idea !
