A game of puzzle is interesting until you get stuck. You are eager to get a complete picture but the pieces are broken. "Fix it", the mind says but the heart knows it will still be crooked. All the blocks are equally important to get the whole picture, without which it would be incomplete. All the relationships you hold with each and every person in your life is equally important. Some blocks might be big or small, but they complete your life. In the world of likes and texts, be someone's listener of thoughts and hardships. You might not help them completely, but you will make them feel a little better. Choose the blocks of life with which you can help someone fix their puzzle, in turn helping you to have a complete picture of yourself, who is more compassionate in the world of competition. Celebrate other's success as if it's your own, and you will find more things to be happy about, and remember, when you are happy it's easy to fix any puzzle :)

Tree or a bird??

A tree stands still and firm in a place with its roots penetrating deep and strong into the ground. Tree evolves from a seed, grows to give food and shelter to all. It stands tall, letting all the birds that flew in from afar to make the branches it's home. The bird built a nest, lay eggs, gave birth to its offsprings but later flew away to another tree. But wait, what did the tree do? Happily nourished and stood strong to give the bird a happy peaceful halt.

The tree doesn't blame the bird for using it and later flying away, nor the bird does something in return as a favour for giving it shelter and complain about how the tree isn't enjoying its life by travelling around the world. It's not the fault of the bird or the tree. It's Nature. Just like us where some choose perseverance and entrenchment over vigour and ephemeral lifestyle. Nature accepts the nature of others, then why can't we?

Reduce Reuse and Recycle - the 3R’s of Environment to keep Mother Nature clean. Likewise, a definition of 3R’s of life aids in the potential growth of a human in all aspects. The very first R is what we all are used to, from birth till death, Receive. Every one of us has been used to receive love, care, attention, affection but not to receive life as it comes. Life is a stream, just “Flow Along”, like how a river takes everything in its path. Acceptance of reality is a huge lesson that none can master, but everyone goes through a journey to achieving it. We all live a world where we hardly hear a “no” until a certain point in life, after which our actual life begins. By human nature, we tend to accept good situations easily but receiving the bad ones is where our strength lies. Planned or unplanned actions both have the same probabilities of success and failure. One needs to have a calm patient mind to gain success and maintain it proudly, not boastfully. Similarly, while receiving the odds of life, one needs boldness, not blaming character. Never fly too high when you win, nor go too low when you lose. you always have to live on this divine gravitational sphere because staying too high or too low is temporary and dreadful. Attempt, await and accept the results of your decisions with a belief in you. When you receive, you have a chance to revive yourself, rewind your thoughts, rectify your mistakes and restore new energy for a fresh beginning.

Many of us are fond to look in a mirror and admire ourselves. When it comes to action, we either step back or argue that we are right. The main reason is we never reflect on what we do and say. A Reflection is smooth as well as stern. But when there is ever a single iota of guilt or negativity within you, looking at yourself becomes a tough task. That very reflection makes you contemplate on your actions and if you are not ready to accept it, your reflection becomes scary to you. We don’t think about the decisions that we take and introspect ourselves more often. Many are busy reflecting the negativity from others and wait for the right opportunity to take revenge. We need to start reflecting each mistake of ours than pointing at others. When you observe your actions in various perspectives, you draw a different picture of yourself in numerous ways that can give a better understanding of your strengths and weaknesses. When you reflect, you redraw your actions, reminisce the best of yourself, reinvent the unknown within yourself.

In the world full of people either replying or seen zone-ing each other, reciprocation has lost its meaning. Responding to the current situation is the need of the hour, but procrastination has been the new trend with ignorance as to the icing on the cake. We retort when we want, we rejoice when we are happy but never reciprocate when others are in dire need. We choose what to react too, who to react and when to react. Though all of us have been gifted with the sense of hearing and speech, mankind chose selective mutism as the prime character of recent times. Many souls just vanish away without speaking many words just because there were no ears to listen, no hearts to respond. We realize the need for reciprocation from others only when we crave for the response, sadly we never realize the necessity of our attention to others. Reciprocation need not always be with others. Our souls need rejuvenation too. It needs the cleansing of negative thoughts, reciprocate rightly to the present than ponder about the past. Return to the times when the human connection was best in reciprocating to others and yourself, more than ruminating every step of others.

The 3R’s of nature has been taught to all of us since kindergarten. It’s a cycle that continuously drives a change in nature. Equally the 3R’s of life, RECEIVE REFLECT RECIPROCATE, is a cycle that drives considerable change within us for a better peaceful life. Make it possible to receive life wholly, reflect thoroughly and reciprocate unconditionally to make life easier and simpler.

How General Theory of Relativity proved the possibility of Time Travel.

Time travel has always been a fascinating topic to think about. Will we ever be able to see the future or travel back in time? Would there ever be a time machine or are there any other means to travel through time? What would be the consequences of time travel? What is the Grandfather Paradox? These are just some of the questions that arise when we talk about time travel. But let's start from the beginning.

Sir Issac Newton is considered the greatest scientist of all time. His understanding of Gravity is one of the major leaps in the field of physics. He came up with the Inverse Square Law based on the works of Kepler who told that the celestial bodies "somehow magnetically" moved in an elliptical path around the Sun. Newton wasn't satisfied with the explanation and studied the revolution of the Moon around the Earth. His theory states that the gravitational force of an object depends on its size and the distance between 2 objects. But he always believed that gravity is an innate force that can act on 2 bodies at a distance and also time is linear and it can move only in one direction - forward.
Then came Albert Einstein who said that space and time are not two different entities but are interwoven into one, called Space-time. He came up with a thought experiment in which he is in a rocket traveling at 9.8m/s/s directly upward and weighed himself on a scale, he would weigh exactly what he would if he were on Earth. This means that if he didn't know he was on a rocket, he would definitely tell that he was standing on Earth. This sums up the fact that gravity was somehow related to acceleration. He then came up with another thought experiment where he thought, what would happen if we're to switch on a flashlight pointing it at one wall of the rocket while standing against the opposing wall? He realized that if he had a sensitive measuring instrument he would be able to measure the slight curvature in the path taken by the light to reach the opposite wall because the rocket is moving at a constant speed perpendicular to the beam of light.

He then thought about what would happen if he were to measure the same effect here on Earth. We may think that light would travel straight and hit the wall at the same height as the source (the flashlight) but that would violate the Principle of Equivalence. Since the effect of Earth's gravity and the acceleration of the rocket has the same effect, the light should bend and reach the opposite end of the room slightly lower than the source.

Now a problem arises where we know that light always takes the shortest path, so how can it bend in the presence of gravitational field?. Einstein then realized that the light is taking the shortest distance, but that shortest distance is not a straight line but a curved one. He later hypothesized that in the presence of mass and energy, space becomes curved. This means that the shortest distance taken by a beam of light in the presence of a massive body is a curved one.

But why did he call it Space-time? How was time affected by this? To understand that, he used one of his old theories, Special Relativity. This states that the speed of light is always the same regardless of the perspective of the observer. It means that the speed of light will be the same in an accelerating reference frame as well as in a resting reference frame. Now, since we know that acceleration is relative to gravity, he said that the speed of light in gravity will be the same as it's the speed in empty space. We know that,

Speed = Distance / Time.

But if the distance traveled by the beam of light in the presence of gravity, due to the curvature of space, is greater than the distance traveled by the beam in empty space, how can the speed be the same?

He understood that for this to happen, time itself must slowdown in the presence of a gravitational field. This implies that an observer who is experiencing no gravity at all will see a clock running in a gravitational field run slowly. So the clocks at the International Space Station run ahead of the clocks here on Earth.

The General Theory of Relativity thus explains how the celestial bodies move around the sun. Imagine our Solar System to be the surface of a trampoline. Since the Sun has a huge mass and energy, it bends the spacetime the most in our solar system. This causes the sun to be at the center at a certain depth on the trampoline. Now if we let a marble to roll around the edge of the trampoline it would revolve around the edge, gradually making its way to the center. The marble represents the planets that move around the Sun. The question arises that why doesn't the Earth collide with the Sun? This doesn't happen because the Sun itself is moving in a particular direction which prevents the planets from falling into the curved spacetime.

Now that we have established that time runs slower in the presence of the gravitational field, what would happen if you stand next to a Blackhole? Yes, you would die for sure, but let's not get into the details. The gravitational effects of a black hole are so enormous that it doesn't even let light pass through it, hence the name. This makes time travel into the future every convenient. All you have to do is travel to the nearest black hole, spend some time around it, come back to Earth to find yourself in the future. Since the gravity of the black hole slows downtime to such an extent that if you go to the very edge of the event horizon of a black hole, being careful not to fall into the black hole, one week spent there for you could be a million years for someone staying at Earth. This implies that by spending time near a black hole we would effectively come back to Earth in the future! This is one of the methods of time travel into the future.
Traveling at the speed of light is another way we can speed up time. This is called Time Dilation. It can be explained by the following example. Five years on a ship traveling at 99 percent the speed of light (2.5 years out and 2.5 years back) corresponds to roughly 36 years on Earth.

Traveling back in time is rather tricky. Many paradoxes arise when we think about the consequences of time travel to the past. One of those is called the Grandfather Paradox. Imagine you travel back in time and kill your grandfather. This means that your parents won't be born, which implies that you won't be born which then means that you won't be able to travel back in time to kill your grandfather. Stephen Hawking has come up with a solution in which he tells that we simply cannot travel back in time because there is a presence of a Chronology Protection Conjecture which prevents the appearance of closed timelike curves. He simply denies the possibility of backward time travel by telling that somehow the physical world will stop us from changing the time-line of the past. But some scientists believe the existence of parallel universes which would make time travel possible. This means that if you travel back and kill your grandfather, a branched universe will form in which you would never be born but you would be able to return to the present in which you are alive. But to this day traveling back in time has no substantial evidence to support it.

Newton believed that space is constant and time is linear. He said that no matter where we are in the universe, time would pass at the same rate. But Einstein's theory proved him wrong. So, if you put them face to face in an intellectual battle, who do you think will win? I believe that it would be Newton because, without any Godfathers to guide him or any previous study of a topic, he was able to come up with something that changed the course of our understanding of the universe. Einstein had the works of Newton himself to start his research. In one of the interviews, Stephen Hawking was asked "what would you ask Newton if you ever get a chance to meet him?". Stephen Hawking said that he would ask Newton "what would happen to a star that cannot support itself against its own gravity?". This question is so complicated because it deals with the topic that came right after where Newton ended his research. So, would he be able to come up with the solution to the question he never even thought of? It would be one heck of a conversation that no one would want to miss!

A CONSTANT SEARCH FOR – AN IDEAL FRIEND

Friendship is one of the purest form of relationships. As a ship sails both on a calm sea and the roaring tides, our life goes through good and bad times. The material used to build a ship is very important to weather all the badgering it receives during a storm. In the same way, a friendship also requires Love, Trust, Genuinity, Honesty, and Selflessness to Make a Friend "ship" stronger.

The one person that we constantly search in our parents, siblings, partners, and even strangers is for that one soul that always understands what we want and what we feel without even having a conversation about it. There are no fixed parameters to being a friend. We search for different traits in different people, which makes each friend different than the other. That’s the beauty of friendship which helps us to connect with each person individually. Remember the time when we used to make the things around us, our friends? As kids, the toys our parents bought us were very precious. We used to hold things close to our heart and even give them funny names and played with it throughout the day. Some of us wouldn't eat or even sleep with them by our side until we realized they were lifeless. Relate that with the present-day scenario. Don’t we all have weird nicknames for our friends that has its own unique back story to it! Some usually start off as a shorter version of their name and some are inspired by real-life instances. These names often end up in our contact list as well! Don't we find any small excuse to ask our friends for a 'treat' and eat together. Some of us don't sleep well without talking to our friends about even the smallest of things. Spending an entire day with them and going back home to speak over the phone is nothing new! These are the people that we cherish for a long time and make us feel that our entire life is less to spend more time with them.

Being a friend in someone's life is both easy and tough at the same time. Life throws a lot of opportunities for us to make friends. Most friendships are formed when we need something. When we miss classes in school, we ask our classmates to help us to catch up with the syllabus. In college, we are almost always split into groups with people who we are not close to. Growing up, we find ourselves going out of our way to be nice to our colleagues and superiors. Making friends for our NEED and calling them as a friend INDEED has been the slogan for years. But is that enough to call someone a friend? Seeking Help in the time of need and never catching up with them isn't supposed to be labeled "friendship". Yes, we all need people to help us to power through during harsh times but using people and not being grateful for their presence is one of the most disrespectful act that we can do. Count on your friends just not for dire situations but for the joy of achievement. For all those souls filled with compassion, needs a huge shout-out. Go thank those people in your life. Let's make the world filled with caring guardians called FRIENDS.

The most beloved part of our life is the joyful moments with friends which we all would love to revisit those moments and also wish to make memories that would stay with us forever. Over the years, having fun from playing with our friends has been changed to "mocking" each other, which is not appreciated. Yes, there is a comfort zone that allows us to take a few things for granted but do we ever wonder what the impact might be if it is prolonged for a long time without the other person ever talking about it? Being put down by anyone drops our confidence level and if it comes from the ones close to us, it leaves a black mark that cannot be erased by a “sorry”. It’s the responsibility of each individual to dig the talent in other people not to taunt at the things they aren’t good at. Each word that comes out of mouth need not be a memorized essay, but it can be presented more compassionately. Being sarcastic might be the trend but passing sarcastic comments and having fun can mentally harm a person. Redefine the way you enjoy life. Laugh at your expense and not at others. Be kind, reciprocate by keeping yourself in your friend position than reacting cluelessly.

We all grow with each other in different situations, life takes us along various paths, we might or might not communicate more often. All that matters is the genuine feeling that you hold in your heart for a friend. Life is short. Find a friend, be a friend, life becomes much easier and simple. A friend in you is a friend indeed that you need- Be a friend that you expect one to be. Only then you find a friend who is indeed a FRIEND. The new tongue twister for this 2020 friendship day. Back to the Future - Evolution of Smartphones.

In the present day and age, waking up and not using a mobile phone is almost unheard of. Smartphones now have such an enormous impact on every aspect of our life by making everything so easily accessible at the palm of our hands. The smartphones now have more computing power than most laptops. But how did it all begin?

The Motorola DynaTAC 8000X. In 1984, it became the first commercially available handheld cellular mobile phone. A full charge took roughly 10 hours, and it offered 30 minutes of talk time. It also offered an LED display for dialing or recall and could store 30 phone numbers. It weighed 794 g and stood 33cm high. It cost a whopping US$3995, which after adding inflation would cost $9912 in 2020. Though the creator, Martin Cooper, made the world's first phone call in 1973, which weighed around 2kg, it took the company over a decade to bring it to the market. Now we have a phone that is smaller than your thumb! Zanco tiny t1 claims to be the smallest phone in the market. The phone has dimensions of 46.7x21x12mm and weighs13 grams. Yes, it is tiny!

If within 36 years, from the first hand-held mobile phone to now, we have the power to do almost everything we do on a computer, what will be the future of smartphones?

1. Augmented Reality - It is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world. It means that a smartphone would be able to help a customer in selecting furniture by visually creating an image of the furniture at the designated place. Navigation would be so much easier as we would be able to visually see the direction in which we have to travel!

2. Over-the-air Charging - Imagine a day where the moment you enter your house, your phone begins to charge without the requirement of any cables or plug in's. Companies like Oneplus have their consistent 30-watt warp chargers but OPPO has launched their new 125-watt flash charger. To give you a comparison 30w takes an hour for a 4000mah battery to charge completely whereas 125w charge can charge up to 41% in 5 minutes and fully charge it in 20 minutes at the fastest rate. At this rate of progression, Over-the-air Charging won't be a dream for long!

3. Foldable phones - This is the next best thing after touchscreen smartphones! Samsung and Motorola have already launched foldable smartphones that have a plastic screen in place of glass screens. These phones when open, have a form-factor of a tablet but when closed it has double the thickness of a normal phone. The crease at the center of the phone has a major disadvantage of dust accumulation. To resolve that issue, TCL has a new concept phone that has a rollable screen. The screen curves behind the phone as it is pressed from the sides and rolls back open when it's stretched. This eliminates the issue of the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

But will there ever be smartphones in the future? Google has already come out with its "Google glasses" which failed miserably, but it was one of a kind. The future may be where smartphones can be wearable glasses and AR can be used to project images and VR can be used for an immersive experience. This would mean that the evolution of smartphones would eventually lead to its earliest state - The state of non-existence.

The one which is the ray of hope, a reason to live for, ambition, aspiration, goal to be an inspiration to millions of dreamers out there. Can you think of one person who doesn’t have dreams? It is embedded in people's lives that Dreams leads to success. YES, Anybody and Everybody dream to feel the sense of contentment.

“Dream Big”, “Never stop Dreaming” are some of the buzz words of the younger generation.

But the number who actually live their dream is few. Contemplating on why the count is less, living up to our dreams requires a lot of perseverance, resilience to strive all the odds and belief in our weird imagination. Your Dream, might not be logical or achievable for others and that’s the reason people end up telling “Don’t Day Dream”, which is a pessimistic comment which drives many of us away from it and forces us to live a predefined secure lifestyle. It's that small number of such dreamers that reach the zenith of SUCCESS. Have you ever observed keenly why all the successful people have a tough story behind them? And in all those stories, their eyes will be filled with the final picture that they always sought out to be. Yes, that one VISION in their eyes made them go through dire consequences but the will power to never give up.

We are all dreamers but the ones who have a vision are the ones who achieve. Vision translates your dreams into actions that edify a lot of lessons to learn, get astonished about your ability, wend your path in life. Vision gives your life a purpose to live, sets defined goals, gives clarity, that makes you strong even though you have been knocked down many times by the harsh words of people around you. Vision gives you bolstered support for your dreams. Yet, it is given less importance compared to dreams. In terms of an organization, Vision is to be framed along with its mission for attainment certain objectives. When it has the power to guide such a huge firm, makes all members unified, goal-oriented, can’t it make one single person's life fruitful?

Just imagine one day without your sight, that would be such a dreadful experience, right? Merely a dream without vision is squandered. Our minds are pondering constantly to convert our dreams into reality, let’s aid the power of Vision to make prudent decisions in our life. It's not only about having a plan for life. It is all about giving unique direction to your dreams. When your journey for vision begins, automatically all the actions that you take start falling in the right place, even a small failure in your journey makes you change it into a stepping stone because your mind is focused on that final objective alone and not meant to refrain you from all the hitches.

Certain changes in life are inevitable, but the solidarity with yourself, dreams is what makes you a consistent person. Always find a way to make the best use of the present situation to add little weightage to your vision. Don’t plan too ahead of time, but believe that each of your actions is for one cause, your Mission. Your actions perpetually will lead to your vision. There might be many of them with the same dreams but it's impossible to have the same vision. Find that uniqueness which is defiantly within you. The best way to find it is to take action. That’s how you will know what your strengths and weaknesses are. Weigh yourself with your vision, not by other's words.

Are you Real? - The Simulation Hypothesis

As we all know, our computing power is increasing day by day. It was just 77 years ago when the first computer, ENIAC, was invented which occupied 1800 square feet in area and weighed at a whopping 50 tons. Now we have computer systems that are presently computing the combinations of various compounds that could control the spread of the Corona Virus. They run for tens of hours connected to multiple CPU's and run multiple combinations at the same time. And the technology to construct complex simulation games are up and booming. We are able to create games where we give a character a set of missions to accomplish.

Now imagine a day when you can create a simulated world so perfectly, containing humans and other life forms as real as you and me, to a degree where you can put together every single neuro-synaptic thought that a person can have and also giving that character the perception of free will! Give that line another read.

This is called the Simulation Hypothesis, where we come across the thought that we are in a simulation of a highly civilized class of beings. You might ask why would we want to create a simulation of ourselves and the Earth in the first place. One of the main reasons for this is that the curiosity of scientists would push them to learn different processes like Evolution, Mass Extinction, and more.

Let's talk about how these simulations might take place. In almost all video games of the present, there is a huge area within which the character can roam about. It contains all the details the character might come across. But we have to know that all parts of this terrain /region are not loaded at the same time. The graphics of every single nook and corner isn't preloaded. As the character moves through the map, the region within the visibility of the character is loaded. This happens in most games, for example, Minecraft, Fortnite, PUGB, etc. This helps the game to run smoother with high FPS. Now if the simulator has to create 7 billion human characters in simulation and has to compute every single human with all the details of the Earth at the same time, it would require an unrealistic amount of computing power.

So, the solution would be to load in the details within the line of sight of the character and nothing else! This raises a few questions like,

1.What if we are a part of a grand simulation where the loaded part of our environment is to the extent of the horizon?

2.What if the concept of digging underground is just that the program goes on adding soil as we dig deeper?

3.What if the speed of light is the limit to the computing power of the system on which the simulation is being run on? This means that we are not able to travel faster than the speed of light because if we do, the system couldn't load the region as we move further.

4.What if the phone you are holding right now is hollow on the inside and the programmer adds its contents only when you decide to open it?

These are some of the mind-boggling questions that need answers to! Now comes the questions that scientists lose their sleep over. If we are actually in a simulation, then we would grow to a state where we create such simulations. We would create a perfect world with all its characters and environment. Now those characters will grow to a stage where they will have the computing power to create their own simulation! This means that there might be billions and trillions of simulations before us by now! Probability of us not being in a simulation is so low because what would the odds favor, a billion other or just 1?

What do all of these simulations have in common? The power to simulate themselves. The characters in the current simulation are able to create a perfect copy of themselves and the Earth and those simulated characters also have the power to simulate their own simulations. Here comes the silver lining! Do we have that power yet? NO, we don't. So, the odds of being 1 in a gazillion simulations directly comes down to 1 in 2. It can be either that we are the first in the cycle and are yet to create a simulation or we are the end of the chain and are the most recently simulated world! This makes it way easier to believe that we are not in a simulation considering the 1 in 2 odds. But if Morpheus ever comes and offers you a RED and a BLUE pill, always choose the RED!

A-Cap for the Bottle!

It's the small things in life that matter the most. This blog is about one of the smallest, yet a prominent part of our lives which is undervalued. A Bottle. In the present-day world, the word bottle is almost synonymous with alcohol! But whether it's an actual water bottle that comes to mind or alcohol, both hold value in one's life but the difference being one is essential and the other is presumed to be an elixir!

The bottle has been a part of our life right from our toddler days. We all were sometime or the other, bottle-fed. As we grew older, we carried it everywhere we went, starting from school to the bedside table just before we sleep, from playgrounds to office room tables. Without us ever giving it a thought, it has always been around us.

Earth is filled with 71% of water, yet women and children in developing parts of the world, have to walk an average of 6km daily to get water that is often contaminated with disease-causing pathogens. Humans can survive without food for about 30-40 days but without water, it's just 3-4 days. So doesn't the vessel that holds this life-sustaining liquid deserve some appreciation?

-Water is a liquid and by nature, it flows wherever the contour of the surface takes it. But we, the so-called "intelligent" species, have to think about the future. So, to store water for times of drought or famine, we built dams and also manufactured things that can store water from large tanks to small and portable bottles. By nature, we have learned to store and save things that save lives. The major take away from this is that only if we think about the future, plan towards it, work hard towards obtaining it, will we be able to sustain ourselves in this uncertain world.

- Water bottle teaches us the word Generosity. By carrying a water bottle when you leave home might be one of the best thing one can do. You never know when you might come across a situation where a bottle of water might save someone's life or just a person's thirst. It is one of the most selfless acts. People might forget the ones who helped them financially in the time of need but not the person who fed them and gave a place to sleep.

- Many companies manufacture USE and THROW bottles. They instruct the customer to crush the bottle after they are finished so that scrap collectors won't take undue advantage of them. But is this policy the best way to handle the situation? You can't use the bottle forever as storing water in old plastic containers as the chemical in the bottle leach into the water after a certain period. So what is the best way to resolve this issue? Make a habit to get used to reusable and eco-friendly bottles. The more you use these bottles, the less harm it has on the body as well as nature. Make sure you recycle all the plastic bottles you use. And be it water bottles or people around you, use and throw should never be an option!

The Voyager Twins - Looking at an alien sky!

43 years ago, NASA launched 2 space probes, named Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, in consecutive months which became the 3rd and 4th man-made objects to ever cross the Heliosphere (the region within which the Sun's magnetic field is prominent). This sphere is stretched around 18 billion kilometers from the Sun. This sphere contains the magnetic field and the solar wind that protect the Solar System from Interstellar Wind. This protective sheath is called the Heliosheath.

We are not going to bother you with the details of the launch and the specifications of the space shuttle. We are here to talk only about the interesting facts and most importantly, The Golden Record.

1. Voyager 1 is the most distant man-made object from the Earth currently at 22.3 billion kilometers. It is traveling at 17 km/s which is greater than the escape velocity of the Earth.

2. If it stays on the same course as now, it would take about 40000 years (yes, you read that right. 40000 YEARS)for Voyager 1 to come within 14.97 trillion kilometers of the star AC+79 3888.

3. Voyager 2 was actually launched 16 days before Voyager 1. This was intentional as NASA new that Voyager 1 would take over Voyager 2 in terms of speed due to the gravitational advantage it would get from the alignment of the last 4 planets in the Solar System. This alignment occurs once in 175 years which was perfect to gain immense speed without having to use any extra thruster fuel.

4. In 296,000 years, Voyager 2 will come within 40 trillion kilometers of the brightest star in the sky, SIRIUS! But both these space probes have enough electrical energy to transmit information till the year 2025. Then it will silently and eternally float through the Milky Way until any other intelligent life comes in contact with it. You might wonder what would they find on the Voyager twins.

They would find the Golden Record!!

The Golden Record is a 12-inch gold-plated copper disk that contains sounds and images of human life that would greet anyone that comes in contact with the Voyager twins. But how will they know where these probes are from, you might wonder? Here are the contents of the record

- It contains 116 images and sounds of humans, animals, songs in 55 different languages!

- To help the extraterrestrial life in playing the record, instructions are printed on the record. When this record is played, there is a message from the Former US President Jimmy Carter!

- It contains the exact position of the Sun with respect to 14 different Pulsars. These pulses are marked in binary code based on its frequency.

Here is a video that clearly explains the plaques aboard the Pioneer 10 and Pioneer 11 (the probes that reached interstellar space before the Voyager twins) and also the Golden Record aboard the Voyagers. It is hard to imagine the vastness of the universe that we live in. But no matter the future of humanity or the Earth, there would always be a part of our civilization many many miles away stored perfectly safe that would say hello to alien life!

Breaking the stereotype about 2020(the year that broke all the stereotypes)

Following the herd of stories, posts, hashtags on social media filled with how bad is 2020, it's quite debilitating to watch how people blame the year for everything that has happened and not take any accountability for their mistakes. Yet, in a few months, 2020 will be in the past, and are you sure the situation will change without any effort from our side?

"If only things were fine!!!", they say. Yes, things would have been better if not for the current predicament but we never know. Something else would have happened that was just as bad as this.

"If it weren't for this lockdown, no one could have stopped me" Yes, that's the irony. We understand the importance of time once it has passed. Now, imagine, what happens when a 3-hour movie is played at 0.25 times the playback speed? The very thought of it is irritating, right? But why can't our attitude towards watching that one movie, be enthusiastic? Why can't our attitude towards it be "it's not that I have to watch every movie at this pace.. It's just one single movie and after this, I can move on!" The same perspective should be inculcated in our view on this year.

But how do we come out of this change in lifestyle as a better person? Let me tell you the pros of watching movies in slow-mo!

1. You will never forget the movie because of the agony you went through watching every second of it.

2. You look into a lot of details in the background of the scene, the colors, their costumes, and a lot more stuff that you will like but not in a conventional way. You might think "Oh, I'd rather not watch it at all than watching it at this pace" but think about what you will have missed if u don't watch - An experience to share. And yes, this sense of slowed downtime is what 2020 is all about! We have to buckle up and get through with it with a positive state of mind.

Many of us by now would have come to terms with a sort of compensated life, i.e, without school, college, work, family, traveling, and many other situations. But just take some time and think about how beautiful this is, the time to spend with yourself, make yourself understand how important your loved ones are, find new things to explore, learn, and to keep you engaged. I am pretty sure if everything was normal in 2020 we would have neglected everything that we are living and enjoying now. Many of us might have already bettered ourselves at one chore at least which we neglected just 6 months back. Let's embrace this change. Make it worthwhile for us to remember till the end!
