In my previous post I posted an ad on world aids day. Today we shall have some innocent fun.While going through all the serious issues of AIDS and HIV, I saw something which was really a good way of spreading the word of using condoms. There was a nice/funny article by Hemal Ashar on how condoms can be marketed. It sounds funny & I am sure you will have a great laugh. This is just a way to tackle a serious issue with a lighter air and in no way do I mean to make fun of anyone.

World Aids Day (December 1) just went past us, in a blaze of hype and publicity. A doctor once said that in this age where gaining attention is important, even diseases have to be 'marketed' these days. Aids has done that better than most other ailments. So, with Aids and condoms taking up so much news space recently, here's a quirky look and some insane suggestions for condom manufacturers.

This columnist wonders why condom manufacturers do not make condoms like:

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) condom: I have certain wicket, wicked ways to bowl a maiden over.

The cabbies condom: In a combination pack of black and yellow.

The MNS condom: Can only be bought by the Marathi manoos.

The Mahendra Singh Dhoni condom: Hope to score tonight.

The gay condom: I cost much less than Rs 377. (Referring to section 377 of the Indian Penal Code that criminalised homosexuality.)

World AIDS Day went by on Dec. 1st. I was a bit busy the last week.
Here is something I created as an initiative for World AIDS Day.

I had created a print ad using this image for a competition around a year back. Since my ad is still on my old computer. I created a different one using the previous image. If I find the previous ad I will post it too.

The television was as usual on while having dinner tonight. Just during the commercials of the idiotic soaps came a commercial for a new show "Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka".
Now come on do we really need this stupid ass bullshit?
Who the hell does the channel think is it fooling?
By the way the show intends to put the participants in some "Hypnotic-Trance" state while some expert is going to find out about their past life.
And no prizes for guessing "Their" means "Celebrities". The show is going to call on some celebrities who think they matter to the world and who even go to the extent of thinking that their being a frog's anus in their past life will draw out "Gasp's" from the crowd. I hope it draws some well deserved slaps instead.
To top it all, the show is going to be hosted by Ravi Kisan. Another vital reason the miss the show.
The show is another entry in India's "Reality" television scene.
With babies, wives, husbands and all taken care of on shows like Perfect Bride, Patni, patni and blah blah blah, I came up with my own reality show idea. The next big thing in the reality scene is going to be to search the best celebrity fart. Now, come on don't you wanna know!

Semester number 4!

I can't believe it! Another semester is about to begin. (Which is the 4th semester by the way and which also means that half of my 3 year course is over and the next half starts).
Starting tomorrow, actually today since it's already 12'o clock, my new semester starts.
This means another 6 months of lectures which are sometimes boring- sometimes fun, all time crazy!

The subjects for this semester seem varied. It includes photography, so there is every reason for this semester to be good! I'm also looking forward for "Introduction to Advertising" which I hope and pray should be taken by my HOD.
But this is no reason I won't be blogging or being away from webby!
So time for bed and time for 6 months of crazy stuff!

(P.S. I hope the assignments are good this time!)

I suppose by now we all know that Barack Obama has won the nobel prize. A day after it was declared there was a very nice article in Mid-day by Abhijit Majumdar.
Here it is....

According to the official Nobel website, Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States, got this year's Nobel Prize "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples".

Fair enough.

But then why has another man, two years older than Obama and just turned 50 the other day, been ignored?

Have the efforts of Asterix the Gaul been anything less than extraordinary to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples? What has Obama done that Asterix hadn't already outdone?

Obama is supposedly the champion of the underdog. But Asterix, leading his tiny Gaulish village with his burly friend Obelix and Dogmatix (an underdog if there was ever one), has held out against the mighty Roman Empire.

Okay, the Gauls have been a bit harsh with the Romans a few times & may be they've pasted the Romans unprovoked or entirely for fun a couple of times, especially in that forest where Obelix goes to look for menhirs.

But there are still thousands of US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, right?

Also, if Obama has been graceful enough to extend the olive branch to Iran and the Islamic world, Asterix has been noble enough not to compete at the Olympic Games after downing druid Getafix's magic potion. While on olive branches, Asterix got one from his arch enemy, the baap of olive branches, Julius Caesar himself.

Must we also ignore the international cooperation that the tiny, mustachioed man promoted in Europe by helping Spain, Britain, Goths and others against a rampaging Rome? The ungrateful ladies and gentlemen from these lands on this year's Nobel committee have a lot to explain on why they backed Obama.

If the degree of fear one invokes in enemies is a criterion of greatness, I would like to know how many from Kandahar to Palestine or Cuba to Moscow would play a game of musical chairs to decide who's going to spy on much less attack the US? The Romans always do, and kick the weakling off to spy on the Gauls. Ask a chap called Caligula Minus.

Some would argue that certain environmental violations would go against Asterix. His friend does a bit of quarrying for menhirs, and the Gauls tend to over-hunt wild boars. Does that even compare to Americans over-fishing the cod in New England, its heavy carbon footprints (the US has 4 per cent of the world's population but produces about 25 per cent of all carbon dioxide emissions)?

Has Obama done anything about the shattering noise pollution in US cities? Asterix and his bunch might be raucous, but at least they diligently gag and tie-up Cacophonix before every feast, celebration or farewell.

And Asterix has better taste. If Obama has checked out the butt of Mayara Rodrigues Tavares, a Unicef representative from (where else) Rio, Asterix has sized up the rarest rear that of the great Cleopatra.

Bottomline: Nobel for Asterix. Till then his fans won't sleep in peace.

Edit-HTML Surgery Task 1 rebuked!

Well Well.........Now the thing is that, this template is great and it was suiting me perfectly. I even got my widgets properly arranged to suit this template.
But the only problem I'm having with this template is that if I post any picture it will be cropped to adjust to the narrow length of the pad. And if I don't select crop then half of the picture goes out of the pad and only half is visible. Now this is something which I wish shouldn't have happened. I was really getting well adjusted to the template and liking it too.
So now I have to quickly look out of another template......
So I guess task 1 has to be started again! Bah!

P.S.: - I had been to Matheran last week....Detailed post coming soon.

Edit-HTML Surgery Task 1 complete!
After surfing 1000's of blog templates and finally downloading 102 of them and selecting one was not so quick a task. But it was really fun. I have finally settled on the templates "Pad-Mess" by www.deluxetemplates.com. A lot has changed on the blog with me using this template. I will have to get back my previous blog elements to make it feel home again.
I'll try this template for some time and see if it serves my needs. If not then it will be time for template hunting again.
Final task of my Edit-HTML Surgery is getting back all the gadgets and widgets.

I found this really funny meaning of "Emo" on Urban Dictionary....It's so true

An entire subculture of people (usually angsty teens) with a fake personality. The concept of Emo is actually a vicious cycle that never ends, to the utter failing of humanity, and it goes something like this:

1. Girls say they like "sensitive guys" (lie)
2. Guy finds out, so he listens to silly emo music and dresses like a dork so chicks will see that he is sensitive and not afraid to express himself (lie). He dyes his hair black, wraps himself in a stupid looking scarf, develops an eating disorder, and rants about how "nobody understands".
3. Now an emo guy, he meets Emo chick and they start dating, talking about how their well-off suburban lifestyles are terrible and depressing (lie)
4. Emo guy is just too much of a pussy. His penis is too small, he's too depressed to bathe, and has more mood swings than emo chick, and he doesn't even have a menstrual cycle. Emo chick dumps him, saying "It's not you, it's me." (lie) as she drives off with Wayne, the school jock and captain of the football team.
5. Emo guy goes home and cries, proceeds to write a weak song and strum a single string on his acoustic guitar. Another emo chick sees how he is so in touch with his feelings, and the cycle continues.

This is the sad truth of the emo lifestyle/music, and now that I look at how pathetic it really is, maybe the emos DO have something to cry about!

Its 13th october, 2009.
The time right now is 5.45 A.M.
I woke up at 5.10 A.M.
I was supposed to go for a morning walk with a friend, but he hasn't given me a call yet. So I am left with free time until he gives me a call. Or you can make the situation as "If" he gives me a call.
So what is today?
Today is election day. Lying down here, waiting for the tea to get heated, I was just wondering that it was 5.30 A.M. and I was awake. I am the kind of person who woke up at 6.30 A.M. for a 7.30 A.M. exam. So I am not really someone who gets up on time when required. Unless ofcourse forced out of bed, slept early etc etc.
So a thought passed my head that "Are all the people contesting today sleeping at this hour?"
or "Are they awake and getting ready for the day they have been waiting for?"
They don't really have to worry about today, because the results are going to out on 20th if I am not mistaken.
But there is something about today they definitely are going to worry about and that is the most obvious thing "Are the people going to vote for them/their party?"
I would suggest them to worry about something else
"Are people going to turn up to vote?"

So "Hi" there everyone......."Hi" to all who read(Few I assume) And "Hi" to all who are happily oblivious to the existence of my buh-log!!!
I am updating the blog only and only on a request of a particular friend.......who claims to have "Enjoyed" reading the blog.......Now seriously.....Come on!!! People can enjoy my blog...Its not that bad!
The reason for not being a regular blogger is probably lack of motivation to update it.....And the sole reason I figure for lack of motivation is lack of readers.....I guess if there is enough of fan/critic following for the blog then it will be reason enough to be up with at least a post per day. But since I have been "ASKED" to be regular......I will "TRY" to update it regularly.

So lets see........where are we?........It like the first week of May.....Taurean month with plenty of thick headed birthdays lined up for the next 15 days.....It hot as hell here, I have wasted the entire vacation at home.......Reading, Sleeping and DOtA-ing on my PC......
Oh did I mention Eating?
I have not really been eating I guess.....My weight is dropping like never before and I might seem anorexic soon. NO I ain't one of those skinny ass models!!!

Vacations started with me being all gung-ho about "Utilising" the vacation in the best was possible be taking up a job gymming and all other things I am least upbeat to do at the moment.
It has been quite similar from the college days except the waking up early!!!
(Psst! I wake up at 2.30P.M. in the afternoon)
And there is nothing I have done that is concrete!!!.......Español Corsa doesn't really appeal to me to be continued.......I know I deserve a bullet in the ass for that......
But, I am happy that I have read around 7 to 8 books during this time and I am still continuing.

My results were out last week. I have passed and successfully been promoted to the next year. Getting my results was perfect pain in the ass. The god forsaken college and faculty somehow conspired a perfect plan to delay MY result. Which in the end resulted in me doing rounds of the college everyday finding nothing besides the sorching sun making my "Fair & Lovely-ed" skin dark!!!
I finally got the mark-sheet. The admission process to the second-year werent that much of a headache. Just a couple of days in seemingly never-ending queues.
Oh! I forgot to mention I also saw the supposedly-latest Russel Peters show on DVD.....Named Red, White & Brown.
And recently from a past few days I am being a bitch, with this pianist ghost in me. I am all over the place downloading Rachmanninoff and Chopin etc etc etc.........

Oh-yes!! I had a haircut around 2 to 3 weeks ago....It quite cute......I had to cut my tresses because mom was screaming all around the house about the knots. I have them small now :D

I'll post some new pictures of me and some other things happening in my life.

God I almost forgot to tell you.......I celebrated my birthday too in these vacations.......Which was part fun and part okay.........The "Part-fun" was the surprise by Mom and M......We cut the cake in the morning , can you imagine? They gifted me small small greetings, a rose and a lovely Glass ball which is musical and has two cute bears in it.....I'll post some pictures soon........Also a picture of me with the short hair.........

And the day has been Zzz!!!

Had 2 Guest lectures in college........were average........Brinda Upadhaya who was a journalist took a 45mins lecture.....She has her own foundation named as Asha----It's an organization for the welfare of animals.....The session was quite interactive.......The other lecture was taken by some female from Western Outdoor (Ad Agency).....This session was more interactive than needed. But still quite helpful.

Friends tagged along with me today to my place. Started doing some project work but power failure washed all plans. Tried to study Spanish a bit but did not do much. Visited the nearby fun-fair. The giant-wheel was not that fearful as it always is. Finally tried doing my project at night. Couldn't complete it.

I need to sleep now. I have to rise up by 6.00A.M. M has got his exams tomorrow. Going to accompany him. He is gonna be here until evening tomorrow.

Español Corsa~!!! (Spanish Course :-|)
I started this about a year ago.........During the whole one year I must have studied it only for a month or two seriously.......There are like 3 courses for it.....Basic,Intermediate and Professional. I am at the basic level. It has 20chapters, and 4 small tests and one MEGA test!!!
I have given the first 3 and dint do that bad. The 20 chapters have been taught already. I have been procrastinating giving the last 2 tests for about 6 months now.....I seriously need to start studying and get it done. My partner is all over my head regarding this.
I have promised that I am going to give him my Course certificate by 14th February, which is Valentines day, yes. And that's going to be my gift to him.I hope I will be able to do it.
I updated this goal on 43 Things too.

Duh!Gonna start studying today!!!

A bad excuse is better than none!

And I guess I have have done exactly that.
Given a terrible excuse and been away for a year!!
Yes, my computer had broken down. But obviously not for this long. I have done a hell lot of things since I last posted here. I have done my photography course (Yes, I am a professional photographer now.) He comenzado mi curso de español (Oh! Yea babeh! I have started my Spanish course). Pero no he terminado (But haven't completed it) :(

On November 18th, 2007, Cupid finally struck his arrow on me! And how!

No more single eh!?!
And since that day my world has taken 1324204823940293 degree turn (Hah! Those were random numbers I just typed and guess what? they total up to form the number "9" which is lucky for me. I know you might say its so silly and just is mere coincidence, but I love to believe in it). A lot of other things have changed. Especially relationships. My relationship with my mom has changed a lot infact it has become stronger!!! I am finally doing my bachelors in Mass Media. Completed my first semester (Waiting for results!). And yes......also celebrated my 1 year Anniversary on this 18th November. *Blushes*

The whole year has been one ride for me. The radical changes that have taken place in my life, lot of people and things related to me, have been remarkable. I had never imagined some things and they have come alive in front of my own eyes and that too in ways beyond belief. 2007-2008 truly would be the most memorable years of my life.

*Tring Tring Tring TRINGGGGGGGG*That's the sound currently in the background. My mom has got a new phone. Its a funky phone where you can have both your GSM and CDMA SIM cards in one phone itself. It means no hassles of managing 2 separate phones.She is trying some game on it.I mean come on whats the need to keep the game sounds on?.

Listening to "Let go"by Imogen Heap. Shopped a bit today with mom. Got a new bag for me and a new pair of slippers.Got some gifts for "M". *Blushes*.

Ahh new sound!! I guess she completed level 1. Anyways getting late. Got college early tomorrow....at 9.15 A.M. Yes!, that's early for me!

Loneliness is probably unhappiness due to not being with others.
Probably everyone of us go through it sometime or the other.
Loneliness can be a curse,at the same time can be a boon for some people.
Now you may say how can it be a boon........The following statement will say it.
Language has created the word "loneliness" to describe the pain of being alone
at the same time created the word "solitude" to describe the glory of being alone.
Some people wish to live alone for their own betterment,while some like us probably just can't do without others.As in,we "need" to socialise with friends,family,love,etc.
At the same time loneliness according to a poet....Adds beauty to life.It puts a special burn on the sunsets and make night air smell better.

Build a society,community,world which erases and cures the dreariest of all diseases................Loneliness.

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished

Geeze!!Doesn't it look tasty.
It's a mixture of milk and banana pieces.....along with some sugar and some cardamom.

Sky oh sky!

This marvellous sighting was captured by me some days ago.The sky went blue after it rained a bit.The picture looks better 'cause the clouds look like they are moving towards a particular direction.And 'course the color of the sky adds to the beauty of the picture.

While having my breakfast.......I was flipping through the newpaper pages.
Look what I found!!!!!!It's bloody Oktoberfest going on in Munich,Germany!
Erm........Now if you don't know what Oktober fest is........then let me tell you.
The Oktoberfest is a two-week festival held each year in Munich, Bavaria, Germany during late September and early October. It is one of the most famous events in the city and the world's largest fair, with some six million people attending every year.
Beer plays a central role in the fair, with every festival beginning with a keg of beer tapped by the Mayor of Munich who declares "O'zapft is!" (Bavarian: "It’s tapped!").
