Preparing for NS - Lesson 1

Learning commands are surely a must in NS. For those of you who are not in UG before, u can have a quick look at here to learn some basic commands, to familiarize yourself with it.

First of all, I would like to wish everyone a happy 2009!

Some updates,

I have been working at the airport for a week, the environment is great and I get to interact with people around the world! haha. Pay is not bad tooo ( to feed my transport fees!! argh!! )

I have been reading some books and it really changes my mind on certain things. If you have the money, go down to the book store and get a copy of Malcolm Gladwell's book (Outliers) . It's an interesting book and the way he puts his argument is great.

After finishing Outliers, I'll also going to buy his other books, Blink and The Tipping Point.

Ok, thats more or less about it, tmr movie with friends. haha.

Another morning of surprise! I woke up to find that I have the Eagles Award too! yeah! another $150, wahahaha

Life is great! Anyway, I shall blog about yesterday's happenings. Yesterday, I went out with my primary friends, it was a wonderful outing and I should see more of it. Thanks to Osh for organising it. Sentosa trip with them was really fun, we even played soccer with 2 danish and 1 taiwan guy! After that was dinner at some steamboat restaurant at Vivo.

This week has been fantastic so far man. Couple of surprises this week. Firstly I got a shock when I found out that govt is giving me 200 bucks ( good progress award sia! ). Secondly, I'm going to start work soon ( yeah! ) and Thirdly, I have finally packed my room and it looks so much better without all the lect books and notes ( yata! ).

Moreover, sentosa trip is not bad because I got to play Beach soccer for the first time! Do checkout the pics and videos from my facebook.

Yoyo! 1 more paper to go and thats the end of As!!! haha. Just now went downstairs to play field soccer. Seriously lacking in fitness, was panting after just 30mins, haha, gotta train abit ya. Anyway, those ppl that i played with are all adults and they are really strong, physically. lol.

Yeah! chalet is next week, cant wait for it. alright, cya!

It's less than 24 hrs ( excluding sleeping time ) to the first paper, GP. To say I'm not scared, I must be lying for sure. lol. But there is no room for panic, make or break, I have confidence to do well and I will do well, I must do well.

Gonna start counting down to end of As, haha. RP sent us a msg, which is quite amusing and encouraging. Chalet is booked on 19 Nov!! The day right after our last paper, lol. The money saved up for not going prom, surely can last me through 2 chalets, hahah. Yes, there is another chalet organised by my old buddies from 14 dec to 16 dec.

Alright, lets focus on what's incoming ya, lol. Give them a run for my money.

Finally received my enlistment date and it is 11 April. haahh. Heng man, when tz told me he got enlisted in Jan, i thought i'll be going in the same time too. Luckily it turned out to be the other way.lol.

A long but enjoyable 1 yr and 10 months in SR and finally I've graduated!

I would like to thank all my friends and teachers for making my stay at SR a wonderful and memorable one. Hopefully I can make my stay more wonderful by scoring well and get into a local uni. ahah.

I would like to thank all my friends and teachers to have influenced and somewhat change my life forever.

and wish an early happy birthday to one of my best buddy KAI ZHENG!! eat and eat and eat! ahaha

Woohoo! completed the nike human race! 10k! no kick la,lol.
Just have to say it was a great experience running with a hell lot of ppl!

Best of all, SRJC WON THE CHALLENGE TROPHY! lol. I think mr tan will be using that 10k for more renovation in SR. And maybe the 3k nike vouchers to the soccer team ( thats what fz hope it wont happen, lol ). HAHA
