First of all I would like to say hi

and thanks for reading my blog. I

started this blog without any idea

what I'm doing or what im meant to do to maintain it so please bear

with me here. :)

In this post I would like to elaborate a little bit on my

description below the title

"ALL FASHION,POETRY &BUSINESS IN ONE BLOG",

you know the one that says:

"Views from a member of the

Millennial Generation". I think that being a fashion addict/writter really changes

the way I look at things. Our

generation I feel is more

excepting of things that would

have been extremely taboo to

past generations. For example peoples' sexuality, the way we

talk to each other (I mean we text

each other more than we engage

in normal conversation!), our

technology, the way we see

situations,t.v content. I could go on and on but the point is we are

different and in a good way and

in bad ways to . The fate of our

country and the world is up to us ironicaly speekn tho'.

I know some of you are cringing

right now (I sometimes do too at that thought...). I guess what I'm

trying to say is I want this blog to

be a window in to the mind of a fashion,poetry writter and a business person and give people from

other generations a way to see

what we see and for fellow bloggerz to see what I'm saying

and way in on it. And just for the

record in no way am I speaking

for our entire generation! But

speaking my views as an addict of fashion n stuff

of our incredibly diverse and extraordinary group of people.

Well i got no more to say for now but let me start blogging bigtime .

EVENTS:- BLANKETS & WINE XLI

So this past weekend that being yesterday was the most monthly awaited outdoor event called Blankets And Wine by Muthoni. D, Blankets & Wine is the premier Afro-based music festival in East Africa designed to showcase genres of Afro fusion music. as i said earlier for those who have never attended any its a monthly, picnic style music festival. the awesome crowd/people who attend are actively encouraged to drive down to the venue with a Maasai shuka, blanket or kikoys; a picnic chair; some wine; a picnic basket and their preferred company and proceed to share in this music and lifestyle experience.
It started in November 2008, the event has grown steadily to become one of the most highly anticipated music events in Nairobi and beyond. Currently in its fourth year of operation, Blankets & Wine has in 2013 ventured into new territories within the wider East Africa region.

The Fashion High Tea is back with new changes and going to be bigger, and for those who dont know anything about Fashion High Tea its a very high profile event that is put together for the upwardly mobile discerning professionals, to indulge/ get involved in their favorite hobbies, i.e. fashion, shopping and socializing at the same time indulging in luxury and sophistication atmosphere. so if you have never been at any F.H.T think about that and picture what your missing while sitting at home watching teen republic or I.E.B.C proceeding or whatever

EVENT:- JAZZ, BLUES & FASHION IN THE WILD

FASHION :- 10 MUST HAVES FOR MEN

Hey dollies, happy Sunday morning to you!

I love being a fashionisto, there are totally ~~NO RULES~~ per-say , none. We wear what, when and how we want!! anytime we want it, Some might think your outfit looks like a HOT MESS, but someone who understands FASHION and where your coming from Fashion wise will definitely think its fabulous #POW!!.

Anyhu back to the matters of the Heart, Body and Soul FASHION-ED today .....
actually a day later after TROLOGY took place is when I'm busy editing some photos i took wich i will hopefully upload here tomorrow but before tomorrow comes today im going to talk about 10 essential things us men should always have in our day to day journey

The fashion for men these days is all about class. Whether edgy, colorful, or simple, it is mostly all about creating that aura of elegance, class and masculinity. So keeping this in mind, there are some things that a man should have in his closet. They are just items that are “the IN thing” when it comes to fashion for men. The “IN things" this season are as follows in no particular order:

THE BAG

This has to be my personal favorite. Not only women carry bags anymore; Men NOW carry bags and even in a more stylish manner. In my opinion Louis Vuiton and Coach make the best male bags, but then others like, Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Fossil, etc. have good bags. There are different kinds of bags but that’s another whole story entirely.

With a bag, you would look something like this:

It’ll have your iPad, phones, wallet, laptop, notepad, iPod, liquor flask, handkerchief, and anything else you deem essential. Classy, ain’t it?

WRIST WATCHES

Wrist watches make more statements than men realize. Most women in fact, will judge a man that approaches her by the quality of his wrist watch. While its sole purpose is to tell the time, it is also a very important accessory.

COLOGNES

You have to smell good as a man. In fact, men need colognes more than women do which is the reason why male perfumes are always stronger so they can last longer. The masculine scent just always does the trick, its a confidence booster. Tom Ford has one of the best male colognes but then there are others as well. Again, that would be another write-up entirely.

LOAFERS

There are obviously different kinds of shoes and we can’t even start talking about all of them now, we could go on and on and on. So I’ll talk about the most casual one every man must own. Even if it’s with shorts on a Saturday afternoon or cropped khakis with a blazer on a Friday, they always look good. They are like life savers of the closet. If you don’t own one get one NOW!! There are many stores that that stock them, there are different types of loafers at different price points, just get your hands on a pair.

SUNGLASSES

Sunglasses are a “Must Have”. I do not know a man who doesn’t have sunglasses. They are really stylish especially the vintage ones. They always add that bit of extra cool factor to any face or outfit.

THE BUCKLED BELT

It might not be Hermes like the one below but it is essential to have that belt that will make a statement when you are rocking a plain T-shirt and a pair jeans. It enhances the look, it screams elegance and style especially when its one with a designer buckle head. But please, please, please and please be careful not to over do the buckle size!

BOW TIES

Bow ties create the ultimate preppy look. Even if you’re not attending a formal event, it goes very well with jeans and a shirt on a random day.

COLORED BLAZERS

Take a look at this guy’s outfit, he looks good right? He does but if you look closely you’ll see that there’s nothing special about the outfit except the “coloured blazer”. Without the blazer, the uniqueness of the outfit is gone. Colored blazers enhance ordinary looks; they give the outfit an edge. All you have to do is ensure your choice of color isn’t too bright, and one that suits your body shape. (Darker colors for big people, and lighter colors allowed to the smaller people).

KHAKIS

Whether, shorts, cropped, straight or boot cut, khakis have to be one of the most essential clothing items. I would have included jeans but we all own a pair of jeans. If you have been limiting yourself to jeans all this while, please drop by the nearest boutique/shop or whatever and pick up some khakis. Its an essential basic item..

JEWELLERY

Yes, jewellery, because I know some of you are wondering how jewellery is a must have for a guy. Of course, I’m not telling you to wear earings, I’m telling you to wear rings, bracelets and neck pieces. Because you are men, you can’t be doing battle of the most bogus jewellery piece with your female partners, so it is best to keep it simple but classy!

So I have told you 10 things that you must have as a guy. There are obviously other things you should have but I’ll talk about those separately. Please get these things if you don’t own them, they help a lot.

So I'm sorta a music slut, today I'm in love with Davido, tomorrow Elani music and the list goes on and on. So in this gorgeous month of Early dec, 2012, my heart has found shelter in the loving arms of an awesome brother called Makadem.

His music takes me so many different but very lovable forms; "quirky, emotional and even playful, his beautifully scented vocal chords will take you" *no HOmo*

The brand is partnering with Apple and Nordstrom, which is really a great achievement as especially Apple, who is all about Design & Branding, doesn't support just any label.

Della offers hobo bags, Mac-book & Kindle cases and headbands in modern African fabrics. The beautiful creations support 30 of each women with full-time jobs in the Volta Region. Thus the catchy slogan of the label: "Carry Change".

RE-STYLE YOUR DENIM JACKET

When you think of denim be they jackets, trousers, skirts, overalls or dresses what comes to mind? Picture movies that have miners, what do they wear? Believe it or not, denim was originally meant for the workplace. It’s strong, durable fabric acted like a protective shield from harsh elements. Then companies like Levi Strauss came about and denim became a major fashion statement.

Denim can be found in different colors with evolving styles. We wore denim jackets in the 90s and early 2000s but now they have been reinvented into a slimmer fit and made a little shorter, more like a cropped jacket. They are now more stylish and allow for a wider variety of styling options.

An easy way to update your denim jacket is to wear it with styles that are currently in fashion for example maxi dresses and maxi skirts, high-low skirts or dresses, denim on denim, with lace, neon or printed pants etc.

Style Options

1. With a maxi dress or maxi skirt to bring out the boho girl in you. I chose this yellow maxi because the bright colour really updates the denim jacket

2. With a pair of cropped pants, vest and ballet flats. This is a cute comfy outfit that can be worn for running errands. I’d choose this look for a day when I don’t want my clothing to bug me by getting in the way.

3. Wearing a denim jacket with a cute dress and some flats or wedges adds a level of toughness to an otherwise girly look.

4. For a day when going for a sporting event or a show in a park I’d wear canvas shoes (who wants to go digging holes in the ground with their prized heels), skinny jeans, a cute t-shirt and denim jacket.

5. For an on trend look, I chose to wear my denim jacket with a skirt, cute top, tights and chunky heeled boots.
