The cab driver had the photo and witness to prove it.
However motormouth Quan, who had an altercation in public a few years back claims she slammed his car door on her and swore , also with photo to prove it. And also took the cab keys along with her trip to Mauritius, as a requirement for her shooting.
The local daily evening news reported members of the public witnessed the taxi driver in altercation with Quan Yifeng, totally unscripted and adhoc. Quan was accompanied by her daughter and a male in his 30s.The man took his cab and ask to HuaXin Condonminium round the corner, and then onward to the airport. Mediacorp Artist Quan, hopped on board with her big bags and her daughter. The taxi driver did not help her baggage to be on the boot, and it is said that Quan then went ballastic and when the taxi took the corner, Quan went round the bend too. Swearing at him in hokkien, shoving and hitting him and the interiors of the cab. It was after reaching the airport then he alleged she kicked his groin, just like in the movie, the car door, then locked herself inside and consider ten ways to trash a cab. The cab had the shot of the aftermath. To end it all, she also took the cab keys. The comfort taxi was stuck on the road since then. The police has classified the case as theft because she left in another cab with his car keys . Later in a return call from Mauritius, the MediaCorp artiste told the local tabloid that she did not take his keys, nor thrash his taxi. She also said she was the one who called the police after their altercation, but had to leave to catch her flight after the fight.
She claims that she shoved him and kicked her way out of the car,as the cabbie blocked her. She claims to be getting a good trail lawyers, possibly the best her money can buy like Suresh Anandan.

The Great Flood 2010,Great Singapore Sales follows

The great Singapore Flood 2010 of June 19th put the news on the water resources of Singapore. All the drains and rivers finally connects to the Marina Basin Floodgate, it shows the fragile connection between conserving water and controlling it. All resources leading to control the flow have not been successful so far, witness the numerous flash flood that hit Singapore once in every blue moon or as late as last November say the PUB Chief Khoo Teng Chye. When the water was rising in ultra rich Bukit Timah district, the flood gate was lifted. There lives the rich and lorded and connected, who head of department could seen be assailed in the next morning , when the flood in here reaches their doorstep. But Stamford Canal, the unknow x factor and more merchant like than connected the place of Business and where the Streets to be seen when in Singapore.
Very soon the business hub of Singapore, where the B in Business come from, it was raining cats and dogs, and not a tourists in sight. It was a flood of the wrong type, not the card carrying or Gucci carrying type but the more liquid type. The whole street was cover with an overly generous cups of Cappuccino and all the Lattes, from the basement of Starbuck to the top of the stairs. All swirling and coloured froths, representing the signatures of the Coffee culture. Just pure plain flood water , overflowing from the drains and channels fast and furious, showing who is King, nature or the builders of Orchard Road . The Great Flood wins ,hand down.
There were more water seen flowing in the streets of Orchard Road, than the whole year in one hour. The flood was equivalent to 60 Olympics size pools, and not that Singapore should be complaining. Singapore needed that much to convert to water for its inhabitant. But the timing was off . The root cause of it all was the debris, leaves and flotsome that flows under the road of Orchard Road. There were actually two canals that runs the length of the road, one major and one minor. The interlink under the middle of the road with the grills and bars to stop the debris was ineffective. It stops the leaves and the water when the grill traps became solid as a wall instead of as porus as a sieve. Thus the ferocity and speeds and the masses of flood water back up back towards the drains and back where it all came and connected from the road and containments. When the liquid masses congregates, it took a life of its own and seeks every bits and spaces it can go to ,including branded and shops and all. Stocks and all were soaked to the brims and millions dollars of goods were evacuated to higher ground or damage. A few high ended goods, like shoes were seen going for a walk.
The Pub chief, ultimately the CEO of the whole drains and canals leading to the Marina Bay Reservoir trotted out figures and to do for the new few years. The hard ware include inspections, litter traps and maintenace schedules to be updated and enforced.
It includes $2 billions will be poured ito the drain. $150 to improve the drainage so that the flows will not be interrupted on its way to the Marina Bay Reservoir. More workers will be employed by the PUB. Not the Pub where one goes for the watering hole, but lowly paid workers, moving around to ensure no debris hung around there. The debris will be disperse to prevent congregations. The design of the debris traps were supposed to be self cleaning, but in lull days, the dirts hardly a forces to stop the flow of water. However, when the number and masses of dirts and debris reaches a critical levels, it strikes back, much like the Empire strike back. Then the real problems will become more apparents until it became a force to be reckon with.
The workers will be mainly overseeing the Lucky Plaza ,where the traders of the basement had a little bit of luck. The building had a back door where the flood water can leave as fast as they come it, thus preventing a built up. In Liat Tower, there were no such measure. There were no back doors for the water to escape. It flooded the Branded goods to the top of the stairs.
At the end of the Great Flood of 2010, the next items will the the continuing of the Great Singapore Sales. New stocks will arrive, not to worry the buyers.

City of safe to fail or fail safe ?

Singapore,s security and safety was damaged by a few incidents this year. Firstly the escape of Mas Selamat , the deemed terrorist, local born and bred, who wanted to slash and burn the City of Sin. Then last week, seven foreign workers armed with foreign insensibilities and knives went on a slash and robbery spree through the heartland of Singapore. They targeted mainly lonely foreign workers etching a living until finally they attacked a local lads who happens to be on their way. The foreigners who were mindless and less knowledges ,with names like headhunters origin , were quickly apprehended by 100 officers, who were instantly deployed. The next was the graffiti on the MRT, which was so good it fooled even the staff. Nevertheless, all the culprits was swiftly apprehended, much like the mounties get their man, Singapore style. It hurt the locals pride and heart, of crime free Singapore, with cleanliness from ground up to the head and beyond. So much so that when travelling overseas, some got on the wrong side by doing the right thing, which in local context, meant breaking the rule. Any rules or regulations that is strongly or strictly enforced in Singapore is quickly thrown out of the window ,once the person leaves the ICA post in Singapore,on land or sea. First to go, throw the litters out of the window, including the do-not of Singapore after the checkpoint of Singapore. The rules of laws does not apply well or even worked well, even when the Passports pledges the safety to the holders.
